Imagine the a bunch of people worrying because I ate food.

But his security agents must have inspected the food.

The man must have been very hungry.
Did Abacha not have even more security? Did he not die from eating Apple?
Did Yasser Arafat not have security? Did he not die from an ordinary handshake?
Was Abiola stewpid? Did he not die from drinking tea?
Was idiagbon a baby or a general? Did he not die from the same tea?

What l am trying to say is that "The people's worry is genuine and out of love for our President".
We know what we sacrificed (not necessarily money), to ensure we boot out that clown.

Now, all Nigerians, Christian, Muslim, Aborigine, and faithless, must all in their different ways, continue to "intercede" on behalf of Buhari.
His success is our success, his glory is our glory and his failure is our disgrace!

But l am sure that "ori'" will foil any attempt on his life.
Teh "blood and soul" of all the little children that dies due to the kleptomaniac of our leaders, the graduates that could not get jobs after lentghy study, the widows whose husband are killed due to "pervasive insecurity", those that sleep without food, those who have been burnt to death as a result of using Petrol generators, their spirit and destiny will rally-round and protect you, General Muhamadu Buhari, The Nigerian President.
Oogun'orun will protect you for the sake of this country.

This might be a sign that Buhari is not really fanatical as widely speculated.
When it come to issue of TRUST with my LIFE, there are THREE PEOPLE l will never compromise about:

1.) My Wife: She is like me, with a Breast! grin grin Except l want to commit suicide, she must be 99% trustworthy! The 1% is reserved for my own imagination and migraine! shocked

3.) My Driver: Being the one that takes me around, once l am in the vehicle, he becomes second to My God, with my life and destiny in his hands.

Now, of these Three, Buhari has TWO of THEM as CHRISTIANS!

Buhari's Cook and Driver are Christians!
What else do we need to PROVE TO US that this Mallam is completely Non-Fanatical, as his enemies have tried to paint him?

Good evening all, to say I was shocked at Nigeria's incoming first lady conspicuous absence at the just concluded Presidential inauguration dinner is an understatement. Why on earth would our President-elect attend such a gathering in which even the very old presidents-emeritus such as Shonekan n Gowon came with their eternal first ladies. With this, I feel to have 5 female ministers in GMB's cabinet will be a miracle. GMB shouldn't have attended such historic event without his darling wife. This occurence may lead to a conclusion that GMB does not believe in womenfolk. Pls, Sai Baba, change for the better!

The said group, Advocacy for Societal Rights Advancement and Development Initiative, lead by one faceless Phillip Ekpo is not different from the myriads of those he sponsored, including Raymond Dokpesi's AIT, to say Buhari did not have a certificate until the Army later (the next day after he won the election) come out on NTA to say they had the Certs all the while!

I have done this explanation over hundred times in the last few months!
If you dont know up till now, it means you have not been reading!

Just do a search on Google about Nigeria's economic indices as at 2009..... then do for 2015.
Even a comparative analysis of the value of the Dollar viz-a-viz the major currencies should give you a clue about the state of the economy.

As for gas line sabotage, l guess it is the same Militants like Asari and Tompolo that Jonathan elevated to "State Security Apparatus" that sabotaged it or is it the farmer from Ogun or the Cattle rearer from Duara that also did that?

Firstly, we appreciate that you conceded defeat early but please do not make it look like it's a huge favour you've done us.

Secondly, we also have no regrets voting you out and may we never regret it.

Thirdly, you failed to consider Nigerians first in many of your decisions and you relied too much on the sycophants around you. You therefore betrayed our trust in you having promised us "fresh air".

Fourthly, you failed to accept responsibilities when things went wrong; instead of accepting responsibilities and take decisive actions, you looked on as if all was well. Why Abba Moro, Diezani and even NOI are still ending their tenure with you remains a misery because they should have been fired long ago.

Lastly, the difference between APC and PDP will be seen in leadership. Buhari will accept responsibility for mistakes and take actions to correct them. And that's where you failed woefully.
Now, go in peace to Otuoke.
The Jonathan is still living in DENIAL!
Can you imagine saying that "The incoming Govt should "toe the same line" as he has done?

He want to use his own mouth to portray himself as some righteous do-gooder when it is apparent to all and sundry that:
*he completely ruined our economy,
*bestowed a mountain of debt on a country with a healthy $60Billion is foreign reserve when he took over power,
*reduced us from a country with a meager 8,000MW of electricity when he took over, to under 2,000MW as of today,
*encourage stealing and looting like it will run out of fashion,
*displayed a very "astoundingly low moral barometer, by OPENLY sharing Dollars to militants and Obas, during the last election (he could at least not rubbish the office of the President by using proxies to do so, like the other political parties were doing!),
*displayed a very disturbingly deficient "knowledge and grasp" of even the most mundane things expected of anyone with a lil'bit of education (of course, America will know)
*Squandered such a mountain of "goodwill" he enjoyed from Nigerians from all parts of the country who risked life and limb to ensure he was sworn-in as De-facto President, in 2009 after Yar Ardua died in-situ
*showed a very alarming "Spirit of Vengeance" by sacking and appointing willy-nilly, anyone in sight, after loosing the election and few days ot end of his Govt and by reversing decisions he took for location of certain projects, before the election
*Super-intended over the worst ASUU and medical Union Strikes
*On record as the weakest President who could not exercise control over his bedroom appendage who eventaully was a major factor his his election failure
*ran a government that could be best described as a SHAM and SCAM!

Look, this man should just sink quietly into oblivion and not let Nigerians be reminded of his perfidy otherwise, the likes of raymond Dokpesi would not be able to save him, when the time comes.

As for Dokpesi himself, we all know he was a failed TV stationer owner until Jonathan decided to bail him out if he agrees to the the "hatchet man" in his re-election bid. Let him just watch how things will unfold in this new dispensation where it is "Not Business as Usual". wink undecided

3 your infidelity ..
This is a controversial one,I believe in faithfulness ,let me make that clear first of all.Women being emotional beings feel the guilt of infidelity more than men.It is wrong to cheat,I will not condone it and by Gods grace will never .However,if you happen to err as humans often do and are remorseful, repent and confess to your God and take that secret to your grave. Revealing it can be disastrous and will serve no purpose.

Just go and sin no more .If you are a habitual cheat,of course you should seek divorce rather than living in deception.
Crap!

There is NO SECRET UNDER HEAVEN as they say!

Just imagine after keeping that secret for years, only for your Hubby to "find Out" accidentally or otherwise, BY HIMSELF!

That means whatever integrity you have tried to build over the years, is destroyed and wasted.... moreso, h enow begins to wonder "what else" he is yet to find out? shocked shocked

Basically, you have destroyed the TRUST within your own household..... and most likely your marriage is a goner at that point.

For me, l will rather "confess" and be scolded or even suffer the consequence, than try to hide it.
Any 'reasonable man' who actually loves and trust you will, in his own quiet time (after the anger and disappointment has subsided) realize he is better-off with the Devil he knows, than the Angel he does not know or trust.

It might even serve as a point of 're-connection and stronger bond' between the two partners.

The TRUTH will always preserve you, in the long run.
Confessing to "God" while not confessing and seeking forgiveness from the "victim", hiding it in a corner of your heart while you profess love to your husband/wife is nothing but filth in the sight of God and reeks of hypocrisy!
You cant mock God, which is how it pans-out

Marriage is based on "absolute trust", not some "make-believe, half-truth smartness" .......because unless you dont do it, it will one day come to light!

But then, not all men are reasonable.........
So, telling fellow women in this "blanket form" to lie and deceive their hubby, is just border-line wickedness, IMO.

The elderly women (figuratively) should teach the younger ones and impart good values in them.... but if they dont have any good value to impart, they are better-of keeping quiet so as not to infest the younger ones with their own corruptibility and malfeasance. undecided

Having said allthe above, a serial cheat needs not confess because your confession becomes meaningless, once you keep repeating the same thing over and over. You are better-of bailing out and staying with the person you prefer to cheat with.
No be by force except you are one of the greedy types who want to "Still have their Cake,.... after Eating it"! shocked wink

Marriage as defined and prescribed by God and our Forefathers, is supposed to be the most blissful thing for humans and l feel sad when l see what some have turned it into, due to their "Arrogance, Greed and Selfishness".

We need to retrace our steps, parents..... especially Mothers, need to impart good values in their daughters (if it is in them as well, ab initio), fathers need to inculcate discipline, responsibility and love in their children, especially Male children so that when a man from such home, meets another woman from another home with similar moral values, their Union would be lasting because it is based on "solid foundation", ...
.......not all these ones that "teach their gender or younger ones how to "cheat and survive" in their marriage!

Yea, my ten cents.

I think what Oshiomole did was wrong. In normal societies, the late Chairman should have handed over powers to the Vice Chair in acting capacity if he's in good health, better still, resign on the grounds of illness. This sit tight mentality of the black man must change.
Correct, 100%

otunbakolawole:
The allegation made against the suspended chairman that he financed a protest against an individual on sickbed could be investigated but, what will he be charged or accused of, 'breach of public peace'.
Add "incitement" to it, and probably "funding of terrorism" to it, if it were to be in America. wink

And it is not just "an individual", it was done against "his Boss" who appointed him!
Its a sort of in-house Coup, .... if it were in the military, he gets court marshalled right -away.

otunbakolawole:
A leader should not govern by emotions, yes, a leader should empathise, but his decision and judgements should be based on solid proofs.
Suspension from official position, to allow for the investigation of that same position and person, is not a punishment but the usual, standard procedure in "normal societies".

Infact, when such an allegation is made against you in a normal society, the responsibility is on YOU, to "step-aside" so as not to be accused of impeding the investigation!.... but in Nigeria, we know say 'you' would rather use your "official power" to frustrate the investigation ......hence the Governor has to step-in. wink

I was just joking about the spelling, its no biggy! wink

Back to the issue:
It actually went beyond "suspicion".
The Ex-Chair allegedly took concrete actions by inciting, funding and organising a riot against his "Boss".
It is an act of gross irresponsibility. If you do such in the corporate world, you get sacked.

Let me ask you: What do you think the "dead Chairman" will do to the suspended Chair, had he recovered from his illness?
Dont forget that it is the Chairman that gets "elected" by the public (Like Governors) while the Chairman simply picks/nominates his Vice, at his choosing! undecided

Did l hear you say Sack him?

Like l said, it is a revolting thing to do and should not be allowed to go un-investigated.
And to begin to investigate someone in public office, first thing that happens is that the person must "temporarily vacate" that office but in Nigeria, l am aware that "office no dey resign or step-down" for investigations to take-off since it is do-or-die, as the man is already showing.

Does anyone here remember the Scandal about the Chagoury Brothers (when one of them ran away) who were printing our currency in a warehouse along the oshodi/mile 2 axis? How they were importing substandard and expired rice? What happened a few weeks after?

The brothers are back and even bigger! I did not say Stallion House o! wink wink

Its a shame, what corruption has done to us in this country!hard drugs, tampering with Nepa Cables and Transformers (l know you will complain about that one naah), Pipelines bugging and stiff sentence for similar offences like Fake drugs, Fake Auto parts, Fake measures (olodo, Kongo, tape rule, e.t.c), Tampered Petrol pumps, e.t.c

Only a hard iron hand will put Nigeria back on tracks.

omonnakoda:
Demand and supply is not the the only variable that determines price certainly not for a strategic commodity like energy. That is why countries go to war over it. Sometimes government may choose to control demand by increasing taxes etc . If you have ever heard of the futures market you will not make such an absurd assertion
Subsidy my be active or passive e.g making a budgetary provision to subsidize the pump price,in the case of an oil producer making an allocation of an amount of crude for local population and finally OPPORTUNITY COST subsidy i.e selling locally when there is an external buye willing to pay higher. and then selling the petrol at cost price by the state without making a profit. All of these are SUBSIDIES

The other issue is that subsidy varies in terms of percentage from 99% to the negative where the state actually TAXES petrol s is the case across much of the EU

With respect you are getting into the area of analysis which you are ill equipped for evidently .
Yo have failed to provide any interpretative value to your "facts" Russia pays 140 naira per litre meaning what? are you saying there is no subsidy in Russia.?
What do you mean by subsidy becomes "detrimental" what does that mean.
Population is one variable but it is not the only one. I do not dispute its importance but your analysis is limited by intellectual power constraints unfortunately
Your observation that nations with a population over 100 million buy petrol between 150 and 350 is crude like the comedian's observation that Presidents must have the letter B in their names.
I do not disagree necessarily with your conclusion. But you have not arrived at that conclusion by a logical or meaningful argument. You are "guessing"

Consider the margin between150 and 350 naira that you stated the upper margin is twice the lower and you wish to persuade us that this constitutes a valid "category" and population is what marks them out? . Why not go and lock the shop and make sure it is secure ??
Good post!

But my question is this:

Assuming we have a few working Refineries and we can refine the amount of Fuel we need locally (That is no importation of refined Product), will the "Cabal" still matter and be a problem?

If the answer is "No", will it not make sense to use whatever amount we are paying for "subsidy" since God knows when, to build New refineries and improve the capacity of current ones?

Since Obasanjo increased fuel price Seven (7) times within his 8years as President, using the same "need to pay/remove subsidy" each time, what have we been doing with the "accruals" from these incessant price increases?

What would be the "final figure" of Petrol price, if there is no subsidy? ....or is it that we would just continue to jack up the price regularly without end?
If research by non-governmental organisations have shown that NNPC do produce refined PMS at a price x-amount less than the "imported/subsidized PMS", why cant we then understand that the way forward is to refine what wee need locally, by repairing Refineries and building new ones?

Obviously, if we can get the money to pay subsidy for all these decades, we can get the money to build new ones within five years, if the will is there!

This incessant and unending increase in pump price reminds me of the same arguments used to privatize NEPA, as a precursor to "incessant Tariff price increases", .........that it would make Power Available but we all know the result as of today, despite the high amount we all pay for the not even available electricity.

What will the next "argument or justification" for another round of price increase be?

I still maintain that there is no SUBSIDY ab initio, that it is all a SCAM.

You are one of those Nigerians Jonathan will read their post and call them, dumb!!, people like you are the reason our politicians act pretty crazy, because you have no idea what is going on and you feel you can analyse what you don't know, let me give you a shocker!! are you aware that the Cabal is praying everyday for subsidy to be removed?? are you aware that Subsidy is a very big problem for the cabal? simply because Jonathan lied that Cabal sponsored the Ojota rally you believed him?
If you know anything about the downstream sector, you will never take Jonathan seriously.
Did Jonathan not promise you that refineries will solve the subsidy problem, did you believe him? well! the shocker is that in 2012, products from the refineries were equally subsidized so what difference will a new refinery make? grin grin grin grin
Jonathan and his gang made most of you look stup!!d.
Sir,

Cant make sense of what you wrote.
Articulate your points properly for me Sir, so l can respond them.
If l have 'no idea what is going on', l will appreciate if you educate me here, openly.
Tell me why the "cabal is praying that "subsidy" be removed! Which subsidy?

How much is the landing cost of PMS produced and refined in Nigeria?
How much is the imported version?
What is the cost of refining local Crude in other "oil producing countries" like Venezuela or Saudi Arabia, compared to the ones imported to Nigeria?
What is the source of the foreign refined Crude Oil? At What Price was it bought (or Stolen/Bunkered) from Nigeria?
Who owns the Refinery where it was refined and what is the source of the Money (stolen or looted?) used in building that Refinery?
Why would a Ship that bought already refined Crude (PMS/Petrol) from NNPC at a Cheaper Price, sail on the high Seas and do a U-Turn only to come back and claim a huge "Subsidy" for the same PMS, calling it Imported PMS? (Its called Round-tripping, just as much as it is done in the banks, viz-a-viz the Foreign Currency)...

These are pertinent questions that you need to address for starters.

I was part of the Ojota rally and l did not see any sponsorship from any cabal! .... and that l believe what Jonathan says or take him seriously?
Where did you get that idea from?

Spell it out for me in numbers and facts..... not all these "are you aware" which dont convey any message.
Honestly, what exactly are you trying to say?
Am up for a decent conversation.

BTW: Pls take it easy on the foul language, it will obfuscate the crucial points you are making.

Sir,

I am pro-APC but...

Did we not all do the same thing when Yar Adua was on the sick bed?

Did we not all protest that his Vice should take over?
No Sir,
We did it after he was dead and the likes of Turai and Segun Adeniyi and some other Cabal-members were plotting on making Turai the De-facto President (against the letter of the constitution) by deceiving the Nation that he was still doing 100 push-ups per minute.
Our Protest was for Jonathan to be sworn-in, LONG AFTER the Death of his principal, as stipulated in the Constitution.
(Oshiomole promptly did that as well)

I am saying we WAITED UNTIL HE DIED.

I am not sure if you know the underground details of what went on during that period or when Yar Ardua actually passed-on in a Saudi Hospital because if you do, you wont compare both situations.

Let me also point out that the dead man actually witnessed a RIOT/PROTEST taking place in the Hospital he was being treated, on the same day he died. I dont want to insinuate that the event may have contributed to his death via increased BP or Depression.
I am not a Doctor but those are the differences.

Cheers.
