Thank God for China? The Chinese that treats its own citizens like crap is who you are thanking God for? What the hell makes you think that China cares about your black azz? African nations are idiiots because the Chinese are providing them with very cheap low quality military weapons and technology and they are happy about it.....LOL people in China dont even buy Chinese made goods....they strictly want U.S made goods...it seems to me like Africans are just meant to be slaves....
China does not care about anyone, not even its own! wink wink

The difference is that China does not care, does not PRETEND to care and does not GRANDSTAND about Democracy, freedom of speech, Liberty and all that Yankee Bulshyte that comes out of Washing-in-ton.

The same Obama that has been to AFRICA TWICE ....and never bothered to VISIT NIGERIA (went to Ghana next door!) is the one that would include Nigeria in the $7Billion GREEK GIFT?

OlowoTee: cheesy
can't wait to know the name of his church.
I'll bet a thousand bucks, He is Jehovah's Witness.

That he chose to ignore even my suggesting it (trust me, most folks who are not J.W's will be very quick to dissociate themselves if wrongly tagged! grin wink ), is further confirmation.

I have even suggested why he is keeping mum about it.

But hey, J.W's know their onions, as you can see through his posts.(though individual excesses is not uncommon)

@frosbel, Pastor Kun: What is your own take on this CAP REMOVAL thing in church?

Is there any bible verse supporting it or making it MANDATORY?

OLAADEGBU: My anti-deeper life friend, tell us where you fellowship for us to see whether you are a fellow sheep and not a wolf in sheep's clothing. cool
I can say Frosbel is Jehovah's Witness! wink wink
Just read what he writes ...and you will see it there.

Why does he not "own up" to this?

I guess:
!.) We should be able to discuss God and The Bible, without coloring it with "denomination/church affiliation"

2.) Too many Nigerians just spew hatred for J.W's , and would kill the messenger, instead of focusing on the "message".
(Okay, l cant speak for him, l know.)

If there is a group of Christians l appreciate a lot, it is the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Not that they dont have their own excesses and "black sheeps" but on the wider-scale, they are aeons ahead of most denominations in terms of knowledge of God/Bible and practicing what they preach.

Having said that,
I thank all those who have weighed-in and volunteered their OPINION on this "Dont Wear CAP in Church" problem.

But no one has given me the "genesis and reason" for that rule.
*Is it Biblical? If so, point it out to me.
*Is it a man-made tradition? Why do you say so?
*Why is it accepted in almost ALL churches? I think Jehovah's witnesses also abide by it as well! shocked

I just want it discussed so l can learn what is right and scriptural.
(I realize that their are so many other things in the Bible which we are not adhering to, probably because we cant or they dont make sense anymore e.g, dont eat animals with hooves or women should remain silent in church! I would rather prefer to make an informed judgement on such things, after careful consideration of the Bible's viewpoint).

Cheers.

While we are at this "DOCTRINE/TRADITION MATTER", l will like anyone who has sound "spiritual/Biblical knowledge" (not fanatical please) grin to explain one thing to me:

Why are "MEN" required to remove their CAP, when they enter church?

*How does donning a CAP stops one from worshiping God?

*Is it a sign of respect for God?

*Does the CAP prevent God from answering the men's prayer? (I notice that women wear their own head-gear without problem)

*DOes it conform to modern-day Christianity (I know Christ has "fulfilled" some aspect of the "Moses Doctrine" which Jesus himself once referred to as "given to you because of the hardness of your heart"; e.h 'An eye for an Eye'.)

*I like to wear my CAP from house and leave it on throughout till l come back home but l dont like to offend others in church or make them think maybe l am just arrogant.
If it has no "sound Biblical backing" or if it is just "Tradition of men", l will like to discuss it with a few associates and see how we can enlighten ourselves, to the glory of God.

*But if it is a "spiritual requirement of God", then it has to be respected and obeyed.

What is your take, from a Biblical and spiritual perspective?

What l want:
*someone to point out the Biblical backing to this practice, both in CONTEXT and APPLICATION.

Thanks.

A few years back, (up till around 1975) the ONLY CAR that you can buy and EVERYONE uses in Russia/USSR, is called a LADA.

Google it and see how it looks. Exactly like what you call "A Box".
It was called a Russian Car.

Fast-forward to 2013.
Russia has just launched a MISTRAL CLASS of Aircraft carrier!
Everyone, including the Americans, use their Rockets to launch their Craft into Orbit.

Lesson: If you dont start SOMEWHERE, You can NEVER START!

All the Hondas and Mercedes and Toyota, started as BOXES.
Its so shameful that a Nation of 160-million people, who claim to be sophisticated and enlightened, cannot even produce "A Box Car", yet they can 'pick and chose' and be so selective!

Maybe we have lost our sense of shame anyway...afterall, common stable electricity, we can offer.

maasoap: Power generation can not improve in Nigeria unless we stop extortion and exploitation currently going on with the crude billing system introduced by Barth Nnaji. This crude billing method rewards govt and private investors (Nnaji inclusive) for generating zero power with fixed charge of #500 monthly. This monthly revenue is enough for any investors that generate close-to-nothing MW. Instead of letting these crooks who called themselves investors rewarding themselves for generating nothing, why not directly attach their revenue to what MW they generate, supply and consume by consumers using proportional increase in per unit charge. As against the current arrangement put in place by Nnaji to reward himself and his cronies in the power sector.
Blessed are people like you!

Slizbeat: Nigeria!!!

A country that gets worse even when Prayer increases.

For over 30 years, we have being praying for Nigeria in distress, yet they keep losing track. With the way our government is running the affairs of this nation, am afraid there would be no hope for the coming generation o0.

Now I don't even have light for up to 6hrs in a day and yet they designated a day for total off after two days of partial 5hrs light brought only at 1a.m to 6a.m when am supposed to be resting while the government themselves enjoys an uninterrupted power supply with all their generating set's fuel tanks connected directly to oil wells.

Just last week, they increase their fixed charge to N750 from N500.

Which way 9ja?

*TYRANTS are never known to change for god ...all by themselves.

*PRAYERS are SCAMS by Nigerian Pastors and MOG's ..... to P.I.M.P the Nigerian MUGUNS!

Until that day, when the OPPRESSED feel the OPPRESSION has reached a Crescendo, WHEN THEY CAN TAKE NO MORE!
That is the day THE MASSES will RISE-UP AGAINST THEIR OPPRESSORS!

In Nigeria's case, that crescendo is set very very high, as a result of our "selfish nature" (just me and me only), our unquestioning nature in matters of Religion and our docile nature, when it comes to asking for what belongs to us.

We are on a long waiting list .....except of course, if we take the bull by the horns... TODAY, TODAY!

It can be argued that he was protecting the public from a potentially dangerous suspect . And just because you fired your rip weapon does not mean you used lethal force.. Even a baton strike to the head can be lethal force.

Where did you get all these insinuations from, from what was posted?

Again, (An example): How does a motorist who makes an "Illegal Right Turn", and flees arrest from a Police officer nearby, becomes DANGEROUS and POSING A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC?

Is it the illegal Turn or the fleeing that makes him DANGEROUS and Posing a DANGER to the Public?

BTW: LETHAL FORCE is force which causes DEATH of the Victim. It does not depend on the 'weapon' used.
