Well, they call it "Political Correctness".....Its not acceptable to "Call A Spade, A Spade"!

But l am sure that the only definition of the scenario painted by the Op: Taking something which does NOT belong to you, without PERMISSION from the OWNER, (before the act) ...or informing the Owner immediately (After)... and DENYING responsibility when asked about it ..or attempting to shift responsibility to another INNOCENT person... who happens to be a "blood relation" of the Victim!....viz-a-viz his sister, is not only the HIGHEST FORM OF THIEVERY but one capable of turning family members against each other.

She only confessed because the Op was sure she was the thief and she couldn't wriggle out.

For a second, all you women ranting here, just imagine that you were the Op's SISTER... and he accused you of being the one stealing from his Wallet .... in front of his wife and He was ADAMANT ABOUT IT, since he thought it could not be his "lovely wife"?

HOW WOULD YOU HAVE FELT?
Would you ever step into your brothers house again, ever?
What would you think that woman has done to your "blood line"?

I dont like people who speak from both sides of their mouth, "Chameleonic peeps" or people whose "sense of fairness" is only defined by whether they are the beneficiary or not.

A Thief is a Thief, no matter whether the Victim is her husband or not.
Dont let your children copy that trait from you,...they are watching.

My own wife works, l know how much she earns (l have stumbled on pay advice in the past) but l have never set eyes on the money! ....dont know and dont inquire about how she spends it ....but l still give her money, as her husband!

Now, why the hell would she need to "steal from me" ...and make it look like its my sister that is the thief?
And women here, are condoning it? huh

I hope y'all know that "what goes around, comes around"?

One day in future, the "Op" will be your son and the victim (his sister) will be your daughter... and dont shed crocodile tears cause "Vengeance" is the Lords! wink wink
****shakes head at how "morality" is being redefined******

Afam4eva: He'll be making more money fron being a Nurse than sticking to music. Not everyone was born to be a musician. It's a shame that people just want to be musicians by force even when they see that nothing is coming out from it. Instead of them to be buying tubers of yam from the North and selling in Lagos, they're wasting their time with Music.
We also discover that in the US, the musician turned nurse is still taking up shows in churches and crusades where he gets paid up to about $5000 (N790000) per performance....

It takes a real man, a real leader, one who is not out for a pound of flesh or revenge, to do what you ask for!

But as a Nigerian, l think you appreciate how vengeful we are.
Very unforgiving, especially if a little success falls our way.

To be honest, just like in our churches, TRUTH HAS SUFFERED A LOT.
Osaze said the truth but maybe, just may be his approach was WRONG ...by Nigerian standards! wink wink

Its called "Bigmannism"!

I think he has learnt his lesson ...though "learning to keep quiet in the face of tyranny" is actually not a lesson we should all desire to learn! .... but this is Nigeria naah (Upside-down mentality)

I feel for the guy, he was brought up in an environment where "fear and waka-on-top-my-head, make l chop" was not the norm and was not imbibed into him!
My own kids have same mentality. They will question you without fear, respectfully though, no matter how old you are.
They will tell you the truth, irrespective of the consequence. I appreciate it but l fear for them.

Well, l have provided and ...they've got "options" anyway. wink

If Osaze is the best striker we have right now, including him can only make us BETTER.
If he shows "true remorse" (l hate that word/feeling when l know he is right in his allegations!) and Keshi still ignores him, l will urge him to take heart.
Life goes on.
Focus on your Club career, you wont be the first or the last.

Most importantly,. improve your game, to the point where YOU CANNOT BE IGNORED.
Who knows, a change of nationality might even be a good start for you.

Car Talk › Re: Old Number Plates, Driver's Licence Expire Sept 31, Says FRSC by lastpage: 12:47am On Jun 19, 2013
As for Driver's License, this is what happens where the country is ruled by "sighted people" as opposed to blind RBats ruling Nigeria:

1.) You apply online to sit a Driving test. You pay for (or borrow! grin ) the Reading manual and study it properly.

2.) You need to obtain a pass mark of 80% in all the parts ( 2 or 3parts is some countries)

3.) The exam covers all aspects of "driving" (Road Signs, Tax, Insurance, Vehicle Safety, Good driving practices like overtaking, U-Turns, Road positioning, e.t.c, Traffic Signs, Road Markings! shocked , Speed Limits, Junctions and Round-abouts,What not to do (Drugs, Alcohol, Fatigue, Road rage and aggressive behavior while driving wink wink , What to do at scene of accident, How to react to motor cyclist and Cyclist, Respecting other road users and Pedestrians, e.t.c)

3.) You go to a Prometric testing center (like online I.T Exams) and sit for your driving test "exam".
They take your picture there and then and attach it to your "results" (if you pass! grin ) so that you cannot impersonate somebody and same picture will appear on the issued License! wink

4.) You get your "result" INSTANTLY. If you pass, you get a "pass report" immediately.

5.) Take your report to the nearest Driver's license issuing authority nearest to your house (with proof of address/utility Bill, ) fill the form and pay the "VERY SMALL FEE" and in about five working days, you get your PROVISIONAL /LEARNER'S DRIVER'S LICENSE in the post! kiss kiss

The above allows you to drive everywhere except of major Highways. You hold it for TWO YEARS at the minimum.

If you want to Upgrade to a FULL DRIVER's LICENSE: ....Continue! wink

6.) You engage a "Qualified and Registered" Driving Instructor. You pay and register for about 15 lessons (some countries have a minimum number of lesson you MUST do).

7.) The "Instructor" checks and correct "errors" in your driving maneuvers, mannerisms and other issues like "sense of observation, obedience to stop sign (Capital failure, if you dont! shocked ), negotiating roundabout, doing 180-degrees about-turns in just three steps or less! huh

8.) Finally, you go to a test center to "sit and drive" (not just "sit"wink for the full drivers license test. Takes about 30-Minutes or more of driving around town.

9.) You are taken around various "obstacles" by the test and he "marks you Up/Down" depending on mistakes you make.
Some mistakes are "knockouts" (outright failure! if for example, you fail to stop at a red light or a stop sign! grin ).
Once you have that, just tell the 'tester' you have a "headache" and cant continue because everything after that is a waste of time, you failed already! grin grin

10.) If you passed, CONGRATS! You get a full driver's License, it reduces your insurance premium by more than half!
Yes that is how important it is.
Some jobs demand you have a "full driver's license" if you want to have access to company car!
....and you are good to go. You get your FULL DRIVERS LICENSE IN THE POST in FIVE WORKING DAYS TIME
! kiss kiss

Now, can anyone tell me if what the FRSC does, in that their office! ..has any semblance to all l have stated above?
(The above is TRUE and anyone can bear me out of point it out, if its not true).

*Why cant we adopt same procedure?
*Why must people come to FRSC or VIO office to queue endlessly?
*Why should license be issued to someone who has "NOT STUDIED" properly, how to handle a vehicle?

*WHy do we have same License for a "learner/ rookie" and soemone who has been driving (and driving properly!) for say ten years?
*Why should insurance premium be based on "just your car engine capacity" (they dont even see you at times, so they cant judge your age! wink ... and not how "qualified to drive", you are?

*Why does License issuance take ages (more than a year at times) to ISSUE? Is it "Printer problem, NEPA problem or some Oga-at-the-Top just sitting on it to create chaos and make money off desperate people?

*Why is everything in this country of ours, so horrendous and seemingly convoluted beyond understanding?

*Why do we create "chaos and confusion" where "orderliness and efficiency" is very simple to implement?

*Why is that Sunday maku of a boy not talking about Drivers License application being completed in say 15-working days deadline, but rather hammering on how "they would ENFORCE EXTORT the deadline"?

Can somebody who has "access" to these numskulls in FRSC top echelon "copy and post" this info to them, to make use of?
Its FREE, walahi! I donate the knowledge to my countiri!

The way FRSC and VIO and the rest will start harrasing people by oct no go get mate. I think its a very cumbersome idea that will not go down well with the way we do things in this country. And when did they add license, I thought the change affected only number plates.
Two of you have hit the nail on the head.
We are being ruled by a bunch of not just kleptomaniacs but clueless Eediots!

NO WHERE IN THE WHOLE WORLD (and l challenge anyone to show me just one country, not even Agfhanistan!) IS THIS TYPE OF MADNESS PRACTICED!

Its only in NIGERIA-NISTAN that you have blind people leading sighted people! angry angry
What would these people not do, just to make a little buck here and there?

*Look at the drivers License that are yapping about, its a chaos and complete failure!
*Look at the National I.D Card scheme? ITS A SCAM of the biggest magnitude (we all read about it in the papers now!)
*Look at the National Census, up till today, we cant even count ourselves. The budget is BIG AND LOOTED!! huh
*Where is the Voters Register ...or the E-Voting machines they procured for free? Dead on Arrival!
*Where are the computerised record of 'Police Ammunition'? No wonder "accident, dey discharge", everyday! shocked
*Its the same story in any project where the "initiator" stands to make financial benefit!

In countries ruled by people with even a "little sense", this is what happens:

1.) Every NEW CAR is registered on FIRST USE and it maintains that same Registration Number till it is DEAD AND SCRAPPED/CRUSHED.

2.) On first registration, the details are ENTERED on a Computer Database that is "ALWAYS ALIVE" for query, by law enforcement, from anywhere in the "field".!
But we dont even have electricity to power NEPA Offices, talk-less of one database in one Govt Agency like FRSC! grin grin

3.) When you register your car "brand new", you are given a Certificate of Ownership (Log Book, in some countries) which contains ALL THE DETAILS of the Vehicle, including the Name and Address of CURRENT owner.

4.) Space is also created below for the name and address of a NEW OWNER to be inserted, when the car is SOLD to another person.

5.) When you sell your car to somebody, (at the point of final payment/transfer of ownership), you will ask the NEW BUYER to fill the space of New Owner "Name and Address" in your presence.

6.) Both of you will "SIGN" it and you (the Seller) must post the Certificate of Ownership (Log Book) to the Licensing Authority IMMEDIATELY to show that the car is no longer yours and no longer your responsibility.

7.) Within 5-working days (at most), the Licensing Authority MUST issue a NEW CERTIFICATE OF OWNERSHIP in the name of the "New Owner" (now the current owner), with another "empty space for any subsequent buyer, if the new owner wishes to sell at a later date.

8.) The number of "previous owners" is also recorded on that certificate of ownership.

But in all these "transparent transactions", the Vehicle Number remains UNALTERED/UNCHANGED, until the end of the car's life.
With the added benefit of "immediate traceability", as l can easily tell the make, model, year of first "use", State or county of first use, e.t.c, just by looking at that Plate Number!

Can anyone, including this clueless FRSC man, and his "P.R. Machines on Nairaland", tell us whether their "new madness" is better than this?
This is what is used in the U.S, U.K, all over Europe, all over Asia, Russia, e.t.c!

We cant even manufacture one single car! ...and that nitwit thinks he is smarter than all this countries combined? huh

“On getting to Kosofe Bus Stop at Mile 12, we saw policemen trying to extort money from a commercial bus driver who had climbed the culvert to drive back towards Ketu. There was an argument in the process and policemen started shooting.

“One of the bullets pierced through my windscreen and hit Timilehin in the eye. The broken glass also injured my wife and Jide. Immediately after the shooting, the policemen boarded their patrol vehicle and fled to their station. I carried my son to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.”

Olusegun said touts were able to chase the policemen but in the ensuing pandemonium, his telephone and ATM cards were stolen.

He said on getting to the police station, he dropped the corpse of his son at the counter and all the policemen fled.

He said he remained at the station for two hours as the policemen refused to take his statement.

He said, “I got to the station with my son’s corpse and I created a scene as I told the policemen that they must kill me too. They all fled and when the Divisional Police Officer finally attended to me, the policemen were denying the allegations as they traded blame.

The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Damasus Ozoani, told PUNCH Metro that it was possible that Timilehin was killed by armed robbers as a robbery incident had occurred in the area that night.

He however said the team of policemen on duty had been arrested and transferred to X Squad, the police department in charge of handling crimes committed by policemen.

He said, “Some policemen were trying to arrest a commercial bus driver when violence erupted. The policemen fired teargas but the hoodlums proved stubborn so the policemen called for backup. When backup arrived, shots were fired to disperse the hoodlums and the policemen arrested the driver.

“About two hours later, a man came to the station with his dead son, saying policemen killed him. The team of policemen has been arrested along with the driver. However, we are not ruling out the possibility that the boy was killed by robbers because there was a robbery in the area that night.”

A police source identified some of the arrested policemen as Inspectors Olaleye Sunday, Sule Dauda and Sergeant Razaq Alowonle.

The deceased’s father, however, berated the police authorities for trying to exonerate their men.

Abiola was NOT a product of UNILAG.
*Abiola's magnanimity transcends Unilag!!
*Abiola was not Unilag Student Union President.
*Abiola was not elected President of Unilag ....but of the whole Nigeria!
*Abiola's popularity transcends Unilag!
*Abiola was not even an Academician, he was a businessman cum philanthropist extraordinaire

If the desire to immortalize Abiola, by President Jonathan, is TRULY GENUINE and RATIONAL,
A Government not as "clueless" as GEJ's will:

1.) Build a NEW FEDERAL UNIVERSITY and NAME IT AFTER ABIOLA, in Abuja ...to show his love for helping Universities

2.) Name the Seat of Government (Eagle Square) after Abiola (Abiola Square!) ...for winning the best election in Nigeria

3.) Name the Abuja Stadium after Abiola ....for being the PILLAR OF SPORT in the whole of Africa

4.) Declare June 12 as a NATIONAL/DEMOCRACY DAY ....in honor of the free and fair election he won convincingly

All the above are more befitting to the stature of Abiola, even beyond desecrating the Legacy called Unilag!

But it is only one imbecilic Otuoke man, parading one kwashiokor-PhD degree, than can ignore ALL THE ABOVE suggestions, with the sole silly intention of ERASING THE LEGACY that is UNILAG! (dont ask me which University he himself attended! grin grin )

(They are the ones that encouraged Palestinians to go for election, ab initio!).

What l am driving at is that: We must separate "the man ABIOLA" from " the process of DEMOCRACY".
"You cant justify one evil, by doing a bigger evil".

Abiola was no saint (show me one Nigerian who is, not even this Sin-nator quoting the Bible now ..PIB Bill, FOI Bill, House Scams, e.t.c)
.....but you cant punish Nigerians, who made a choice of whom they want as President (they all knew who Abiola was and still chose him massively!) ...just because you want to punish Abiola for his sins!

What if God decides to punish this Senator ...for his own sin, today!

"Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone .... and one by one, they all went away! Jesus then ask: Woman, where are thine accusers?"

'Nuff said'!

Mogidi: Its a shame he died but what were we thinking when we allowed two Muslims to rule us? Maybe it was God who made it happen.
Abiola was a MUSLIM but not a Fanatic Extremist! ..ofcourse, he is a Yoruba Muslim, anyway! wink
Infact, l will rather have his type of Muslim rule this country that all these 'rent-seeking scam-artists' calling themselves Christian MOG! shocked shocked

As a Christian and student at Unilag in those days, go and find out what Abiola represents!
He was the ONLY POLITICIAN that ever walked "unguarded" through that citadel.
He deserved it and he got it, in those days when student Unionism was not "cash-and-carry".

He had his flaws but please,..... he is not on the same level as the kind of clueless kleptomaniacs that have ruled this country after the days of Shagari.

BTW: Abiola is one of those personality who will help you, irrespective of whether you are Christian, Northerner, rich or obscure! He just did "good" for a living, to anyone in need. You wonder why he won even in the village of his opponent (Bashir Tofa), across the length and breadth of the country? I've never seen an election like that in Nigeria and we may never see another like it in our existence
His legacy will forever live on.

naptu2: It is completely impossible to enforce the results of the June 12th elections. June 12th does not have any significance in that sense. However, it is very important that people continue to ask questions, otherwise this kind of thing will happen again. Who killed Abiola? Will the person kill again? What happens if (God forbid) someone decides to kill a nigerian president the same way Abacha and Abiola were killed?

John Kennedy, Martin Luther King Junior and Bobby Kennedy died in the 1960s, but people are still asking questions about their deaths. Murtala died in the 1970s, but people are still asking questions about his death.
..And add President Allende of Chile and President Patrice Lumumba, to that list!
Dont mention Sadam Hussein, dont mention Ghadafi ..and the list goes on!

What will America/CIA not do?

dantitiki: In the 2001 model, to activate the Auxilliary isn't via a Gear but a Switch. Look at the Picture and see the switch at the low left corner of the Console (looking like the AC Swith) with inscritions like "2H, 4L etc..
Juts an "opinion", please ignore it if it does not go down well with you:

Will it not have been "good" if you just take a "big/bold picture" showing THE SWITCH you are describing above, and post it here.
To "precisely direct" the person asking the question , (and any other person interested in same question) that it does have the AUX gear?

And again, l noticed quite a few people have asked/negotiated for 1.6M openly here but you seem to ASK THEM TO CALL YOU FIRST!
Some have asked for the VIN as well, for peeps to make independent checks but you seem to keep it to your chest (?).

This might be a "good business ****" but at times people want to make on the spot decision and just being open and direct might just "swing their mood" positively!
I wanted to ask the same question and was hoping you'll answer it openly.

All the same, its a nice ride and l love black color (You'll think twice in dry season when Lagos is very dusty! I have to keep washing and dusting just to keep it looking tidy), black makes cars stand-out.

Happy Sales.

‘Why we delayed Lagos light rail project’

May 10, 2013

Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Obafemi Hamzat yesterday said the Lagos Light Rail Project was delayed for six months to enable commercial motorcyclists acquire the skills required to be part of the project.
Wait let me get this right!
*Light rail project, right? Its a "light Train" sort-of but uses overhead high voltage electricity and can be driven in both directions by just ONE DRIVER at a time!
I use it on a daily basis and l know exactly how and what it is.

*Now, what will the "OKADA DRIVERS" being trained, be doing w.r.t the Light rail?
*Let us assume they will be "driving" it!

*Question is: Does this Commissioner (maybe he thinks we are all illiterates or Akara-seller) not know that the construction, which will normally suffer "unforeseen delays" (case in-point is the "swamp factor" just mentioned), does not need to be halted, just because he wants to TRAIN THOSE WHO WILL DRIVE THE COMPLETED AND COMMISSIONED Light Rail?

*Has this Commissioner and the bunch of nitwits he associates with, never heard of the word "parallelism" in project management? Why cant both issues (Training of Okada drivers and the construction of the Rail line) be progressing in tandem?

I tell you, this is just another FUDGE, a distraction and a big lie!
He might be foolish and those who bought this lie might also be foolish but l know that YOU CANT FOOL ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME (Bob Marley!)

Bookmark this page: December 2013, this self-servicer .. wan*ker of a commissioner will come-up with another "dumb Excuse" (like they have to stop the work to allow for training of Pure-water sellers who will service passengers at the stops! grin grin ) ......on why it is not yet completed!

Mtcheew! Efulefu peeps. Wetin we no go hear for this Naija sef? huh
