A lot of people have been complaining about the "bail amount".
One person even asked whose account that One Billion Naira is going to!

For information sake:
[b]"An accused, when granted Bail, does not have to DEPOSIT THAT CASH (real hard Notes) into any Court or Bank.
What is posted is called a BAIL BOND, issued by the accused Lawyer and/or family members.
Its a promise to produce the accused or the Money or the property used to post the bond (whose value is more than the cash value of Bail), is forfeited.
What it means is that "If the accused FAIL to be produced in court on next or any future hearing" i.e JUMPS BAIL,
The Surety/Guarantor has to COME UP with the said amount and forfeit it to the Government" ... Or forfeits the house (to be sold) whose documents are used as part of the bail conditions.

Note: Only and when the accused "jumps bail" ...is the physical cash now required (or landed property) seized/taken by the government.

So, dont worry about the amount, its just to ensure that the accused is produced in court, next hearing.

I reminded the lady that l dont have six months (it will expire in two months time, which l thought was enough notice?) and maybe they should just endorse this one and we can then think about a new one in due course.

Embassy Lady insisted that l must apply for new one and it wont be available inthe next six months because their is "heavy cue" of six months!

I was so frustrated that l bought a return Ticket to Nigeria, and within Two weeks, l was back to my base with a New Passport!

But hey, dont blame them, l mean these embassy staff.
They are only where they are because maybe one "Oga-at-the Top" is sleeping with her (sexual favor) or as a political favor.
It has nadda to do with qualification and competence.

On the other hand, l was wondering, if l sell my car and l have to keep the plate number (according to FRSC, it contains my details), then maybe l should be allowed to use the same number plate on any new car l buy after that (l only have to Update the vehicle details like VIN number, make and model).

That would at least reduce the impact.
Or do l have to now decorate my house with various plate numbers, as l have this habit of selling and replacing my car, after 2 or 3-years of usage?
