@naira2011
If the president uses force on our peaceful protests, we will celebrate the start of our revolution. We also use this media to call on our security agencies, The Police, SSS, and The Military to drop there arms and join the protest. Let's make Nigeria a Nation. Let's work towards a Nigeria of our Dreams. We can't continue to feed the 1% when 99% suffers. Enough is Enough.

When the military "shenked" Mubarak in Egypt, he had no choice but to surrender though, "the masses played their part" first until it reached that crescendo.
We need to play our part first, the Khaki boys are watching in the wings, believe me.

Asked if the strike would continue, he said, "yes, but we have suspended the street protests."

Omar said President Goodluck Jonathan had raised the security concerns during his meeting with labour leaders late on Sunday aimed at ending the strike in Africa's most populous nation and largest oil producer.

He said Jonathan spoke of "serious security reports indicating that there is every likelihood that people outside organised labour may try to hijack the street protests."

Omar also said Jonathan "told us that he has decided to put on hold the issue of full deregulation pending the provision of certain things, especially in the areas of palliatives and so on , "

The president's position, however, was apparently not enough for unions to announce an end to the strike, with labour leaders demanding a return to pre-January 1 petrol prices before further negotiations can occur.
It is not pertinently wrong "IF LABOR HONESTLY CONSIDERED (if that was just it and no Ghana-must-go involved) THE SECURITY SITUATION OF THE COUNTRY "AS PLEADED TO THEM" by Retardeen.
It can only show they have the interest of the whole country at heart.
The mooron of a President justifies being called "Retardeen" 'cos he should have considered the "security situation posed by the BK bombings here and there first, before adding "Petrol to Fire"!.

So what, they ordered a "Sit at Home" but no street protest? Any sensible person would have realized that a "Sit-at-Home" is a form of Protest, just like a "Hunger-Strike" is a form of protest!

But of-course, we are dealing with ANIMALS HERE, who think the only way to protest is by vandalism and a shoo-to-death by the POLICE!

Some Subsidy removal proponents are still in the stone age, they need to evolve into civilization. They cant even comprehend "ending something" and "changing tactics".

@gfour:
ust a point to take note in this calculation
the division of litres by no of people, are we not suppose to be dividing by no of cars?
just a point to take note
YOU are WRONG!
What we are looking for in that calculation, is not "average consumption/car"
Remember that it is NOT ONLY CARS THAT USE PETROL? How would you account for Petrol used by GENERATORS?
What about Petrol used by OKADA? What about those used by Pepper-Grinders and other miscellaneous users?

What we are looking for is "average consumption of PMS/head of the population"!.

That would give us an accurate and better snap-shot of "REAL CONSUMPTION"

Most people feel the problem is NOT SUBSIDY REMOVAL but the HIGH LEVEL OF CORRUPTION IN GEJ"S GOVT.
Take a look at the 2012 BUDGET BELOW FOR EXAMPLE, The same budget that requires Nigerians to go through SO MUCH PAIN, TO SAVE NIGERIA FROM COLLAPSING!
Is it only the masses that must suffer to save Nigeria from collapsing? WHAT ABOUT THE POLITICIANS, ESPECIALLY THE PRESIDENT & HIS TEAM?

Some of the "items and prices attached" are just plain evil.

This piece is about the 2012 budget and its sad realities.

The Basics:

1. The budget of N4.749 trillion assumes an oil price benchmark of $70 a barrel, oil production of 2.45 million barrels per day and zero deduction from Federation Revenues for the fuel subsidy.

2. Despite the above assumptions, the budget contains a deficit of 2.77% of GDP. (The nominal GDP has been estimated by National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to be about N36 trillion in 2011), so essentially about N1 trillion of the budget is to be borrowed, or relies on exceptional income like privatization proceeds, loans and grants-in-aid.

3. Accordingly, out of the capital budget proposal of N1.32 trillion, only about N300 billion will be available from our federal revenues. If the “subsidy” is not withdrawn, the deficit will be even higher and the FG would then contravene the 3% cap on deficit in the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007.

4. None of the so-called SURE projects have any NEW source of revenue to finance them other than what have been described above UNLESS:
(1) the oil price benchmark is raised above $70 or
(2) the Naira-Dollar exchange rate allowed to slide thus raising more Naira for the government.

The above assumptions are far-fetched in the current global economy.

Some examples of wasteful spending decisions are itemized below:

5. A review of the budget provisions of 21 out of 50 Ministries, Departments and Agencies revealed the following amounts for some recurrent and capital expenditure items:
• Travel – local and international N13 billion
• Stationery, Magazines, Newspapers, etc. N4.5 billion
• Maintenance of vehicles, furniture, etc. N17 billion
• Training N5 billion
• Fuel and Lubricants for cars, generators, etc N4 billion
• Miscellaneous: welfare packages, refreshments, meals, etc N9 billion
• Acquisition of Computer Software N2.5 billion
• Research and Development: whatever that means! N27 billion

6.
The actual provisions in the budget would be at least twice these amounts, and total about N160 billion of waste. This amount is equal to the amount budgeted for the power sector!
7.
Some examples of some of the wasteful spending under “Research & Development” are N2.498 billion for “citizen’s call centres” under the Ministry of Communications & Technology, N1.2 billion in the Ministry of Agriculture to incorporate commodity marketing companies! The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to spend N322 million to acquire “computer software”. This is very expensive software indeed!

8. A lot has already been written about the budgets in the Presidency. The following are some weird examples of what has been included in the State House (Villa) budget:
9. Overhead is about N7.2 billion, or about N20 million per day to keep our President and VP happy. Their local travel budget is N724 million or N2 million per day, including weekends, while their international travel budget ix N951 million or nearly N3 million per day.
10. The president’s office has N285 million to hand out as “welfare package”, N265 million to buy computers, N150 million to buy scanners, N161 million for buses, N295 million for new furniture, and N1.8 billion to “maintain existing furniture, office and residential quarters”.
11. The intend to buy desktops for N300,000 each, laptops for N314,000 each and scanners for a whopping N190,000 each. The public address system in the President, VP’s office and Banquet Hall will cost N150 million! The SGF wants to spend N65 million on tree planting. Note that planting a million trees in Abuja over 4 years cost the FCT Administration less than N50 million then!

Conclusion
: There is a lot of waste, and misplaced spending priorities in the Budget which can be reviewed to free more funds to finance subsidies, capital investment and improved governance. Do you remember #budgetscam ? This is worse than that!

Now you know why government doesn’t mind killing all of us because they will not free funds from the loots of their corrupt friends, they will not cut their salaries and allowances and they will not reduce their number of aides. Instead of all that, they’d rather hurt Nigerians by all means possible.

You can share this information with as many people as possible. Information has proven useful in this struggle.

You are terribly misinformed as the intention of the policy. Like i said the emphasis here is CASH:to reduce the amount of physical cash being handled, one can wire money into any account and the service charges won't apply. And the C-I-T(Cash-In-Transit) companies u mentioned  are only required when u want to move cash from one location to another which has put off the use of bullion vans by the banks and not for cash transfers. The limit on online transfer serves its purposes if u ask me. I am only throwing more light on the policy and not to determine if it will succeed or not. Gracias!
Krap, with due respect, l an sure you are the one who is outrageously misinformed!
I do a lot of CIT over the years! That is how l send money to family members and even pay "workers", from overseas.
It is paying someone “cash” from your bank account without issuing a paper cheque.
I go online into my account and issue a CIT, it can be collected from any branch of my bank in Nigeria.
Problem now is, they wont be paid directly by the bank, it is now through another “intermediary”! Copy that?
Again, there is a “limit” on how much you can transfer online (by CIT or otherwise) in a day. It is called your “daily transfer limit”. Go to any bank and find out please.
The “physical cash movement” from one location to another” companies you are confusing with “CIT” are “Cash Movement” companies.
These are “Security companies” that offer “cash movement” as a service, using bullion vans, very different from CIT.
Except the “limit” is removed (l agree, for security reasons it should not be, as it limits “the immediate damage” that can be done if your account is compromised) or it is increased properly to cater for the “price of doing transactions” putting into consideration that the naira is a very weak currency. In the ”West”, you can do cash transaction of 5,000Eur or 5,000GBP or $10,000 across the counter (with proper I.D), Nigeria should translate that into “naira” (=> 1,500,000naira @$1 = 150naira) and make it our cash limit. Simples.

Muchas Gracias

Lastpage

@Yamazuka
i dont believe online transfer limit is per day.

I believe its per transaction/transfer, so multiple online transfers will be needed.

Worst case, write a crossed check.
Let me correct that.
1.) There is a single transaction limit
2.) There is also a daily transaction limit.

Crossed Cheque
will require that l hand it over in person! Defeats the whole purpose of online banking!

if you doubt me, visit any back and make inquiries.
Cheers.

@Phillip Chukwu (GMD, NNPC)
“Everyone knows that the refineries have not been properly maintained over the years and we have had to manage things. What we are doing now is to have the TAM and complete rehabilitation of the refineries by the original contractors,’’ he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two Port Harcourt refineries which consist of the old refinery with capacity to process 60, 000 b/d and 150, 000 b/d, respectively, had been functioning at very low capacity with the old one not working at the moment because of lack of maintenance.

Chukwu explained that the TAM, which would start in October, would require a total shut down of the plants for between 45 days and 60 days to ensure a thorough job.

He said the TAM and rehabilitation process would also entail overhauling the supply chain and pipelines that bring crude oil and capacity building for staff so as to meet international best practice. THIEF, BARRAWO!

He said the NNPC was also working with all stakeholders, including security operatives, to ensure the pipelines were safe and no longer vandalised.
One thing we are all clear about is that NNPC and PPPRA are a haven of corruption. They are the ones that aid and abet the so called CABAL.
Civil Servants are employed and paid TO PROTECT THE INTEREST OF GOVERNMENT AND THE PEOPLE.

NNPC, especially their Management staff like Livy Ajunoma,(GMD) and this Phillip, are crooks! They all deserve jail-time 'cos if we investigate all he corruption in NNPC, l assure you, it traces back to the top! Its just like the EFCC under Farida Waziri!

They are the ones Sanusi, El Rufai and Even GEJ keep referring to but too weak to tackle! I would suggest an independent investigation into how (as Mallam Sanusi put it) a supplier will offload 5,000MT of PMS and gets paid (with subsidy!) for 20,000MT of PMS?
It is not GHOSTS that verify and confirm such deliveries and authorize payment now?

Even when these "Phillip" knew TAM was not being properly done all these years, did he speak out? NO, but he kept collecting salary and allowance so, WHAT WAS HIS JOB IN THOSE 8YEARS that he got paid for?. Nigerians need a SALARY REFUND ASAP!

Again, look at how the"Thief" lumped-in a lot of "contracts" into the maintenance thing! He sees this as an opportunity to make huge money!

Its only in Nigeria that thieves steal and still come out in the open to tell us to provide more money for him to steal!

BTW: So, it is the "Protest" that suddenly kicked all these Govt looters into over-drive, right?

@Sanusi
Removing it has costs in terms of Nigerians paying more for PMS-which by the way is not the fuel for generators, power plants, production facilities, heavy duty goods transportation trucks and even luxury buses.

Please can anyone tell me that IT IS TRUE THAT NO GENERATOR USES PMS (Petrol)?

What does all those 1KVA to about 4-5KVA generators use? Diesel or Petrol?
What does all those thousands upon thousands ?(by far the largest in terms of numbers) of i-better-pass-my-neighbor Generators use? Diesel or Petrol?
What does all those Danfo, Taxis and Okada use? Diesel or PMS?

I now conclude that people like Sanusi, Iweala, GEJ, the NASS members are all living in a different world of their own and have no connection to the masses they are supposed to be serving!

No wonder they all cramp into one specific but very expensive area of ABUJA!
Why not make a law that says all "Elected Representatives" of the people MUST LIVE amongst those who elected them? That way, we will use the same road, the same Hospital and probably experience the same "NEPA" and buy from the same market!

In the West, you will enter the same TRAIN with your Minister, queue on the same road and shop from the same stores but hail Naija, the masses are smelling and infected with disease, abi? grin grin

Evil is Evil. My heart goes to the bereaved families.

Alj harem: Call your people to call these people to order,
Lets stop these pretense that "most" Boko Haram are not Nigerians or not Northerners!
You are a good man but they say "Evil thrives when good men DO NOTHING".

Sensitize other good Northerners
to impress it on their leaders, Mosque Leaders and respected people in that domain to make it a duty to "Inform and orientate" Northerners in general to:

1.) Know that killing of innocent people to send a political message is evil

2.) Mosques Imams should say it candidly and openly at Friday and morning Prayers that protecting strangers amongst you is the wish of Allah and the prophets (or is that not what is in the Quaran?). Church/Muslim leaders in the East and South should also follow suit.

3.) They should denounce violence, expose suspected killers (by whatever organisation they represent) of innocent Igbos/Southerners in the north

4.) Tell all Northerners to "openly protect" Southerners/Christians in their midst, as a confidence building measure.

We protect Northerners in the South, We have no issues with Muslims or Christians (we are all the same brothers sef!), it should be so as well in the North.

It will not be good for all of us, if we allow this thing to get out of hand BY DOING NOTHING!

As for GEJ, he is just completely overwhelmed by the situation, aside that this Presidential JOB is above his I.Q! He cant handle it at all, walahi!

But we recognize the fact that his Deputy is also a Northerner and just maybe, his downfall is to the benefit of "the North" (reason why most people will agree that it is the Northerners stoking all these security problems for him, to achieve Power Shift?) thus, most people will not even buy the idea that he is incapable.
Thus only "the Northerners" can solve this problem, for their own and everyone's benefit!
If they dont act, they are damned either way! (I mean in terms of reprisals from other parts of the country if they dont act AND if the do, those who want to usurp GEJ's position will see hem as acting against the Northern interest!) wink wink lipsrsealed

Relax, just thinking out aloud.

Cheers,

BTW: I dont want to add fuel to fire but l will repeat this quote by a NL
we igbos have sold our conscience and sacrifice or rather traded our lives for money. I bet you fellow igbos, if any other tribes are treated the way we Igbos are treated in the north all this long they'll have sold off whatever it is they have bellow normal prices and relocate.
Igbos must look inwards henceforth. Putting all your eggs in foreign lands simply because there "appears" to be easy money to be made, has consequences, especially in an unstable environment like Nigeria!

Like in the days of Oshiomole and Reuben Abatti, once again, NLC leaders are about to "sell-out" and use Nigerians as a "stepping-stone" to amass wealth and filthy lucre!

Let us disown them ASAP (if they dont insist on 65naira) and let us see if NLC/TUC can stop the protest once we agree they dont represent our interest.

@SILAKABUWA:

I appreciate people like YOU.
You have gone to great lengths to show that with "reason", diving and civil war is not the only option we have.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, l want to draw your attention to something:

1.) We need UNITY BUT WE CANNOT GET UNITY WITHOUT PEACE. . . . .No.

2.) We Need PEACE but can we ever get PEACE WITHOUT JUSTICE or EQUITY? . . . . .No,

3.) We need JUSTICE/EQUITY but can we ever get JUSTICE where CORRUPTION FESTERS? . . . . . . No.

This is the end of the story.

We all need to unite and stamp out corruption, no matter whose ox is gored!
It is corruption induced INJUSTICE to watch innocent Southerners being killed in the North.
What can you and other well-meaning Northerners do o stop these "recurring" shame?

Lagos is what it is because "we dont give a darn about where you come from or what God you worship"; I live with Hausas, Igbos and about any human you can think off. We celebrate all the Religious festivities together, our children mix and the grown up ones even toast and enter relationships with each other. We dont interfere in your religion (it is private and personal to everyone) and you dont interfere in my own.

It is called RESPECT FOR OTHERS! How can we ensure there is respect for other's religion and belief, in the North as well?

With regards to power-sharing, l think we should not even share power at all. Just let the best man from "anywhere" do a darn good job!
Assuming it becomes lopsided since it may appear that one region is predominantly educated that another (no fault of theirs anyway), we can institute an "accelerated educational program" for the disadvantaged region but we must also ensure that those factors that put them into that position (Almanjeri culture, religious subservience to Mullahs, e.t.c) are eliminated.

Every child must under constitutional law (Parents get jailed for 6months or pay a hefty fine if they dont ensure child attend classes regularly), be educated at least to JSS3, you can then go to an Islamic school after that, if thats what you want. This will help to alleviate the imbalances.

Again, we should ensure that EVERY NIGERIAN is a citizen in any state he "habitually lives" (say 9months in 12 calendar months over 5years). All rights of citizenship must be accorded such person in that location.
In fact, we should do away with the notion of "state of origin" and should never be featured in any documentation except for demographic reasons only!

By the time we start tackling things from the last (Corruption), then to Justice (all these cash-and-carry Justice system!), then we can achieve Peace gradually and then, our Unity may be cemented.

That is how the foundations of America was solidified (to an extent).

For now, evil and corruption is so prevalent that you see everyone rooting for his "tribe or Religion" when such things are useless and mundane.
We need to build trust and confidence in one another.

At this point, it is the responsibility of all Northerners, to protect all Southerners amongst them. Do it openly, like you're fighting for your own lives! Just like all Southerners must do same for all Northerners in their midst.
Let the "goodness in us" overcome the evil that a few amongst us want to preach and perpetuate.

Mind you, there will always be evil a few people.

Keep spreading the "good news".

For every child that dies in any hospital in Nigeria, for lack of drugs or medical equipment, (something we have the money to buy but Jonathan and Company have looted it), even if they run to America or export thire own children to London, ILLNESS WILL PURSUE THEM EVERYWHERE!

For every soul that is lost on our bad roads due to the state of the road, even if they buy bullet-proof cars, DEATH WILL BE THEIR OWN PORTION!

For every child that gets ill because of "too much heat at day time" and "too much Generator fume" at night time, INCURABLE ILLNESS WILL SLEEP AND WAKE UP WITH THE ENEMIES OF NIGERIANS!

Remember "Mariam Babangida"?

How come you made a whole thread out of this your former post and its already on "frontpage" LKWMD?

Well, this was the answer l gave to your post on that thread!
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-844815.128.html#msg9954715

Brother,
All the above-stated ARE NOT CAUSED BY FUEL SUBSIDY NOW?
Seems more like BLACKMAIL and FEAR-MONGERING, to me! Grin Grin

If you doubt it, l will take them one after another!

Fuel scarcity

1.) is a cumulative effect of corruption, which prevents our own local refineries from working to full capacity because some "Govt Official" has pocketed the TAM (Turn Around Maintenance) money meant for its repair! It could also be as a result of deliberate Sabotage by agents of those who benefit from importation of fuel!

2.)Lack of Vision of our Presidents: Like Jonathan, most of our Leaders lack vision and foresight, they should have at least been able to forsee that a nation where all the Electricity Power Stations are comatose, will ultimately depend on fossil fuel like PMS (petrol), to power itself. As such, they could at least have made a deliberate policy of building ONE Refinery every TWO years

Dont tell me we dont have MONEY to do so!
Let me joggle your memory a bit: First Gulf War Oil Windfall, where is it (Babangida, 2.8Billion Dollars!). Second gulf War Windfall (Abacha took that one), Iraq War (Obasanjo Took that one), Excess Crude Oil account windfall (Jonathan shared with his Governors $23Billion).
So brother, Money is not our problem, having the "sense" on what to spend it on is our leaders nightmare! Grin

3.) Corruption by Govt officials: From the NNPC staff who signs-of on inflated/ empty "subsidized fuel import Invoice", to GEJ's Cabals that built refinery in Gambia and other Smaller West African Countries with our looted treasury, while smuggling/bunkering  our crude oil for refinement there and then import it back to Nigeria for selling to us at "subsidized price", to the Minister who gets a "Percentage" of all these economic sabotage of our Nation, they are all in it together. Only a decisive "Head-hunt" of these people (a la Rawling style), can save us from them.

We can also lump all those useless NASS members who are a burden to our national purse into these category. Its all corruption or how do you explain that one man earns 54Million Naira EVERY MONTH, just for sitting idly at the National Assembly, in a country where some cant get 200naira for daily food?
I just wonder why those that have the means (Boko Haram), dont have the brains to know where to put these bombs? Angry Angry

If we can deal with just the three examples l gave above, we will be okay now, dont you think?
Just imagine if Jonathan has decided to pay for and build 4 New Refineries (at $2.3Billion each => $9.2Billion) and share the remaining $13.8Billion with his Governors, are we going to be crying over subsidy removal when we know that we would soon be refining everything locally? But Hell NO, his greed is that of "A Man who had no Shoes while he was growing Up"! Grin Grin Grin

Lets be honest, it is very unfair to those poor women and children who have to trek 10kilometers every day just because they can afford transport fare or that 3Months old baby whose skin will now turn to a haven for skin lessions just because "daddy can no longer afford to buy fuel in his Generator! Have you ever heard a baby crying at 2pm in the afternoon due to "excessive heat"? (No Nepa, No fuel for Generator! Grin )

Try listen to that cry and you will develop the fear of God and a deep hatred for those who entrench such evil.

Look, there is so much "waste and looting in Nigeria" that foreigners wonder when they see Nigerians enduring "second-class citizenship" abroad, in poorer countries!

When it was 75K/Liter and there was subsidy in place , we had fuel scarcity, but when it was 65naira and there was subsidy in place, there was no fuel scarcity! So you see, its not about pricing of the product per se.

Cheers.

^^^^^^No, they dont understand the shyte that we are in!

The only shyte they understand is that GEJ looted $23Billion from the Excess Crude Account, money that he could have used to build New Refineries, New Roads, New Hospitals and even institute Social Services for the Aged and the needy, except that the money is cooling-off in their various foreign accounts!

I guess these 76% dont know shyte but they sure know a treasury looter and untrustworthy felon, when they see one (especially if he dons a canoe on his head grin )

@Mayflowa
$4billion dollars alone is needed to process 200,000barrel/day consumption and Nigerians consumes over 35million barrel/day( We all know this consumption is not real but your Govt pays for it).
Brother, small-small naah! shocked shocked

When a "Brand New" 450,000B/day capacity Refinery costs $2.3billion to build, how can it now cost $4Billion just to "refine" 200,000Barrels/Day? huh

Or are you talking about the cost of the crude oil itself?
If that is your case, then you should also add the amount of revenue that the sale of 200,000Barrels of REFINED CRUDE will generate (please include price of all the other "condensate" like Diesel, Kerosine, PVC, Ethanol, e.t.c as well) wink wink

Anyway, your post was very misleading.

Cheers.

@Seunlayi
n this case, their is no winner or loser if the price of fuel is returned to 65. But we should be ready to return to the era of fuel scarcity as govt will want to reduce the rate of import of the product, most of the marketers will loose their right to import the product which were given to them to ease fuel scarcity (least we have forgotten) then.  In addition to these, marketers will now form the habit of hoarding and reckless pricing of the product in view that the subsidy will certainly be removed at a certain date. Therefore, be ready to queue to get your petrol.

Instead of all this yarnings, let us do some basic maths and see if Madam Okonjo Iweala is not capable of buying this house in Abuja.
She does not even need to deny at all! Its her house, its her money so what the hell?

The point is this:
Lets calculate how much she could have received, even after working for 21years (not all as W.Bank V. President in all 21years but lets just use an average of $350,000/annum for 10yrs.).

The above $350K multiplied by lets say the last 10yrs gives $3.5Million.

Lets say the remaining  11yrs she used as medium officer and got paid $150,000.
For eleven years =>  $1.65Million.

Maximum Total Income for 21years =  $5.15Million.

Now, even if she did not spend a kobo for herself or her family
, and saved all her income (virtually impossible as most earners can only save at most, an average of 40% of income).

Value of Purchased House =  1.2Billion Naira = $8Million (at 150naira = $1)

That is almost $3Million short!
shocked shocked shocked huh

In essence, she has NEVER earned up to that amount in her whole working life! (Even when we make the silly assumption that she saved 100% of all her income!)

``J'' level employees, or vice presidents of the World Bank earn about $289,540. Senior vice presidents and managing directors who have made it to the ``K'' class received as much as $311,000. The president's pay, when you include expenses, lands in the mid-$400,000 range.
its not about igbo, its about d politcal class, and fraud, go an see how d igbo are sufferin in d east, our politcal class, north east west are rogues, this woman, and her brother chichi got $2billion from d buy back deal, OBJ sacked her, aside, the hirin of Georgetown consultancy was without due process, thats why she was sacked, she forced chichi okonjo down FCTA throat under El Rufai

See me see Person that is talking about "Trust Me and Jonathan"! cry cry shocked shocked

This one is your AGF (Attorney General of the Federation,) MOHAMMED ADOKE!

http://ireports-ng.com/2012/01/12/exclusive-multi-billion-dollars-hidden-bank-accounts-of-jonathans-minister-of-justice-bello-adoke-exposed/
Weeks of underground investigations by ireports-ng.com have however revealed more shocking details about Adoke’s secret bank accounts in the nation’s federal capital territory, Abuja. One of such is an account number 002228052782 at a branch of First City Monument Bank located at Plot 252 Herbert Macaulay Way,Central Area Abuja. In the account is a stunning sum of $16 million US dollars.

Further investigations revealed that Adoke is keeping yet another $24 million US dollars in account number 041152000428 with Diamond Bank located at Plot 117 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Wuse 2 while another 5.3 million Great Britain Pounds is also kept in the same account with Diamond Bank.

As if that was not enough, ireports-ng.com also revealed that Nigeria’s Justice Minister operates another secret account with the Ahmadu Bello Way branch of Zenith Bank, Abuja where a whooping sum of N6.2 billion is being kept.

Born on September 1st,1963, Adoke was not known for any serious legal practice until he was brought to the limelight in 2010 when he was appointed as Justice Minister by Mr Jonathan. Since then, there has been series of allegations of under the table deals by Mr Adoke using his official position. He has in the last 48 hours issued two statements to threaten protesting Nigerian workers to sack them and charge civil society activists involved in the protests with treason.

Last year, an online publication accused Adoke of taking bribes from an arranged sale of moribund NITEL property in Area 11, Abuja and buy back of same from Adoke’s kinsman popularly called Alhaji AA Oil. Adoke’s share of the deal was said to have been diverted to build a massive mansion for him on Gana street, Abuja. Though he denied ownership of the property saying it belongs to AA Oil, finishing works have since stopped on the sprawling property which was being worked on day and night before the scandal broke out.
You see, this is the SMELL OF MONEY, REAL MONEY!
