Not sure who is "more beautiful" than who but I will give Igbo women their props. I've seen some Igbo dimepieces both here in the States and on their turf in Enugu, and I must say they were on fire!

You are finnnneee - that is you right?

stop doing this to me!

lol. Thanks Sis! It was years back when my brother (who has connections in that industry) tried to psych me to put a portfolio together. It took all the courage in me to do that look and I was uncomfortable. Finally decided that the whole industry wasn't for me at all as I hate fame and being in the spotlight. I remember one agency telling me that my features were too "ethnic" and that they were looking for the shamaar Moore type "because that's what sells". Lol.

Thanks for the compliment though. Me blushes.

Amaka G29:

First, let me acknowledge that you asked for a male's perspective so you can disregard my female perspective (no hard feelings).

I think taking care of yourself for every person is very important. I also think that different men want different things in the woman they choose. Some men like want seems exclusive, others like what seems reasonable, and a select few like what seems cheap. Love yourself and a man will find it very easy to love you.

I'm no cheap girl, but I try to be friendly, polite, and approachable. No amount of "designer swag" can do more than my smile and my proper breeding.

Also SIDE NOTE: Please be sure to invest and save some of that money so that if anything goes wrong, you can stay right smiley

Spoken like a wise woman.

@ Fickle.

My chocolate Sister, how body. Nice picture and especially to know that you are 43  shocked. Please dark is good and ages gracefully don't mind the haters. Don't know why chocolate is so down-graded in Naija. Mix chocolate with any race and see the gorgeous result, be it white + chocolate, asian+ chocolate, etc. The result is gorgeous because that chocolate just puts the sweetness to the result. I'm chocolate also, and let me tell you that our kind is appreciated over here in the West Coast.

And this is word to your forefather's butler baby  grin

Do you see what weave has done Bloody Unbelievable!!!

http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/atlanta-crime-hair-weave-1193985.html

Atlanta crime: Hair weave thieves strike againThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The rash of hair thefts that plagued metro Atlanta beauty supply stores all summer long continued into the fall on Tuesday, as burglars smashed their way into a business on Ponce de Leon Avenue.
The thieves, apparently targeting high-dollar Remy hair extensions, shattered the plate glass window of Lexi’s Beauty Supply in the 500 block of Ponce de Leon Avenue, according to Atlanta police.
It was not immediately clear how much merchandise was taken in the 2:15 a.m. burglary.
On Sept. 23, burglars stole hair strands worth more than $100,000 from the Beauty Master store on Mt. Zion Road in Morrow.
That store's general manager, Lucien Poko, told the AJC that five of the seven Beauty Master stores that he runs in metro Atlanta have been burglarized.

In August, hair weave thieves broke into at least three metro beauty supply stores in a 10-day period.
On June 18, burglars hit the Beauty Master store on Headland Drive near Greenbriar Parkway

December to March is HIGH season in Brasil so everything down here is expensive. it's the best season to visit but also the craziest and priciest. . . . . . . .ending it all with a B A N G aka the Rio Carnaval (debauchery at its best)

and you are absolutely right about the emotionally damaged ones out there. quick to say they love you but they dont have a clue about the meaning of the word. quick to ask you to sing/dance and jump higher than their ex while we all know that if he was the shiit, she would still be with him. quick to demand calls/texts at every other hour of the day, if you dont, you must NOT care! lol quick to shed them crocodile tears to have you soften your stance. kai!!! quick to demand to be the center of your universe, even higher than your parents and siblings (god forbid, her BB needs are more important than your sibling's education)!
This is gospel bros! The ones who want you to breath, eat, sleep and live them.

Bros, don't count me out for xmas. I'm still trying to see about coming down o. Make I come dance ijo agidi (salsa) with some of dem mamacitas. Ay! grin

But how are the babes? grin
Romance / Re: Opinion About High Maintenance Ladies by Lax75(m): 3:21am On Oct 04, 2011
@OP

High maintenance isn't only limited to how expensive (wallet-wise) a chick is oo. There is also the chick who is high maintenance in regards to her emotions. Emotionally high maintenance chicks plenty and I don't know which is even worse. I've encountered those. Just wanted to add those 2 cents.

Yes!!! Love it! However I'm probably the only Yoruba citizen that doesn't like hot spicy peppery food oo. When my mom prepares for the family my siblings get mad at me because she prepares my food seperately as I don't do all that "ata." But I love me some obokun. I tear it up grin

Anyways. Don't wanna derail your thread o. Just wanted to hail you and to lighten things up after that person referred to us as "Nigerian Primates." grin
