OP, I think there is no general solution to your issue but what works for me is that I make sure there's is nothing in my stomach before embarking on any long journey thereby having nothing in my stomach to vomit.
Don't eat a night to and on the day of travelling.

There's something that really baffles me with this Igbo-Biafra issue. You(i.e other ethnic groups)condemn the Igbos and always remind them about how they've brought shame to Nigeria as a whole but you seem to cling to her as if she's the air you inhale. I feel they have the right to leave if they'll be better off living in this dungeon where double standard is the order of the day. When it's a northerner, the rule is different. I'm not surprised at the attitude of the yorubas cos they are established cowards and are scared to exist separately. They boast about how buoyant their region is but fail to realise that it's the seaport cargo and airport cargo operations in Lagos with igbos as the major players that gives the region a facelift. Pull the Igbos out of these activities in Lagos and see not just Lagos but other states in the region wallow in shambles. As for the North ,I sincerely feel they'll be fine with their agriculture and later solid minerals. I think they're just scared of the unknown.
