I am finally going on my trip on saturday the 12th of feb, i am fully vaccinated. GOV.UK says i don't need any covid test.
Is this true? So you think gov.uk would lie? Either ways from 4am 11.02.2022 fully vaccinated travelers arriving the UK, do not need pre-departure test. But you must have your vaccination card with you and fill the PLF. Enjoy your trip. |

Oma6090: Thank you Leef and Nneoma for your contribution. Do I still need to add her bank statement in the application? Also what is p60 form? 1. Yes you would have to provide mum's bank statement as well. 2. P60 indicates your yearly earnings and taxes paid etc.. that's info contained in monthly payslips correlated into a single form... |

Cause: A large money (6 million ) entered into my account around September and It wasn't explained
I will wait for Master's route as I already got admission for September in 2 schools. Sorry about that, but you should have explained that the 6 million deposits was for a master programs you intend to undertake in september in the UK, and that during your visit, you would like to do take a tour of your future place of studies and you are keen on having to hear from current students what studying there is like. People go on pre study tour as part of research and gathering info if a place of study would be good or not. |

Oma6090: Please I really need help as regards my mum's visa refusal.... I am planning to reapply by march but this time around I will be sponsoring her. I will use my UK statement of account. I hope it wouldn't cause an uproar? She can't sponsor herself again because we can't prove that the funds in her account actually belongs to her. She is just a trader, although with put business in her refused application. Is there anything I should be worried of? Also, for properties as tie back home, what document should be uploaded, receipt of land or the survey? I will attach the refusal letter again. Also is 5thousand pounds convincing enough to apply with? Do I need to attach all payment slips to prove the source of funds. Do I need any other documents from the UK here to support her application. I just put to birth hence I am inviting her. Oma6090: Please I really need help as regards my mum's visa refusal.... Do I need any other documents from the UK here to support her application. I just put to birth hence I am inviting her. Hiya @Oma6090 sorry about the refusal notice My view are as follows; If possible, submit a P60 rather than stressing yourself with bank statements and so many payslips. Note: I am not saying 5000 thousand pounds is too small or too much as i know not what figure they look out for and I don't mean to imply that bank statements and payslips are bad, i just feel a P60 is enough. Thus, with a P60, add copy of your passport, invitation letter (state in bold that all/most of the bills would be on you as regards to the trip), also you may wish to provide a birth certificate to establish that she's your mum. On your mum ends, she however, in what way possible needs to do a bit explanation(like very tiny) as to her personal circumstances in Nigeria. I see no wrong if she states in her application that she runs a pretty petty small trading business, which yields her daily wages/income and that offers her some financial independence (give an approximate figure as correlated in her financial documents), also she would do absolutely no wrong to state that she also gets additional financial support from her children and as well state how much she spends monthly. Not to sound braggadocious, I don't understand how applicants get quote "unexplained credits or deposits when the questionnaire(VAF) has "other" in the income section. All you just need to do, is explain that the funds in your financial document(s) is not ill gotten and yours, and you could choose to use whatever amount you wish at anytime. Best wishes. |

Chiall: Now let me give you a personal story. February 2020 I had an emergency trip to the UK. Because I wasn't thinking of travelling at that time I didn't bother to get some pounds. I just went to my domiciliary account and withdrew 1000 USD cash and transferred 2000 USD to my Visa card. At Heathrow Airport the officer that attended to me asked me how much I was having as cash, I said 1k USD and I was staying for 10days. So I told her I have enough cash in my domiciliary account and visa card. Guess what she said! She asked for a proof. I brought out my phone , signed into Heathrow WiFi and opened all my accounts for her. She collected my phone and opened the TRANSACTION HISTORY. She didn't just see the balance. She wanted to be sure the monies belonged to me.
November last year I was in Toronto, then I visited Barbados. At BGI , the customs officers ( Two women) not immigration this time , counted every single cash I was with.
So please put your house in order before travelling. You never might know what they would ask you for. God bless. Some POE are ruthless tho, once on an exchange program to a certain state, @ POE the immigration there would legitly check you to your knickers regardless of your sex or where you had traveled from(wondering if they still did so now thou), thought they were being racial or profiling me, next trip went with Mrs and kids for a vacation to this same country and we all went through the same process... Then, was when I ended my plot to head to the courts for perceived harassment or racism lol, But the state is one i would always want to visit again, they are just blessed. Be prepared for anything is best advise any traveler could get. It's called POE, e get why.. lolz |

Walatadadon: Most likely some fake documents unintentionally submitted but we can’t recollect precisely, it’s over five years. We found an email with the gwf number few days ago. Please do you know if or how the stated reason could be retrieved with the gwf number? Okay, well if the eco determined that the documents at that time were fake, be it knowingly or not, the applicant would be served with a 10year ban and would have to serve the 10 years, especially in the event such refusal and decisions were communicated to the applicant at that time. But again, each application is handled on individual case. The main applicant may want to write an AR for the dependent or ask an immigration lawyer to help do so. Best wishes. |

Gentlesoul3268: I wanted to thank you for your help yesterday #leef, we really appreciate your time given to us.
My last question now is about the part time earning I declared apart from my main source of income job, i wanted to know if the part time earning won't need to prove with any documents ? Although I have explained all the credits transfers onto my personal account that I used for my part time earning with the change of ownership affidavit of the cars that have sold.
Is aside business or part-time earning didn't need any documents to prove the legitimate ?
Thanks I answered that yesterday, unless you wish me to lie to you today, but I won't as it may/may not lead to a rejection. I am totally 100% allergic to rejection or failures. If you need validation as to If you must or may not provide supporting documents for a part-time income or savings, get an active application rolling on the UK home gov.uk, go to section where you have do you have other income, tick that, then you see regular income and other options, scroll down a bit you you see "savings". If you tick "savings", read closely what is written just below were you are to provide how much you have in savings.. Afterwards you should realize you are over-spicing that application with some of the supporting documents you're mentioning and maybe shooting yourself to the foot. |

Unfortunately most bank you cannot do a single or multiple transactions beyond $200 to the naira. You may have to get a dollar card, fund it and then you should able to pay for the ticket as royal moroc process payments in dollars. Similarly, you could get that same flight on any travel agency that offers payment in naira. |

This story pain me well well. It’s a very sad one. you know for instance the ECO for UK would say the ONUS is on the applicant, in eastern europe the ONUS is on the agents, and if you fall into the wrong one, you would never recover your destiny... from first day of school until graduation you pay every dime bill through the agent's account not the school.. If you want your pain level to increase, just try to establish who was the late student's agent? If ain't a Nigerian then the diplomatic missions there need to leave. The Nigerian agent who may have been involved may have even promised that poor soul a palace on arrival |

Chreze: We talk about fees and financial stuff a lot on these threads (here n student), I think we need to talk more about how to manage some situation too (situations like this). A lot of people are traveling for the first time and there is this old mindset that whites are not nice or racist and all that. This old tales make people hold things inside instead of asking for help.
If I were to be in this situation, I would have knocked on the next room to explain my situation and pass the night with the person. I don’t mind knocking on 5 doors till I get someone to say “ok you can come in”.
It’s a very painful story. Anytime I think about the parents I just get sad. If you ever find yourself in any uncomfortable situation, just ask for help from anyone around you, forget about authorities at that time. You will be surprised that the oyibo you think are racist secretly wants to have a black friend. A lot of them want one now. Ask for help from your next door neighbors, your neighborhood. It’s better to ask for help than suffer. People are nicer now. Fewer racist this days, thanks to TikTok and others that have connected the world with fun and jokes.
The guy story pain me well well. Can’t imagine the parents, from having high hopes to no hopes. Very painful. Yeah, quite a sad story, but you maybe surprised that, that room was assigned to the Nigerian by a NIgerian/Indian or even an arab agent who wanna own a castle and drive the lastest racing car in a foreign land. Most schools in eastern europe(Russia, Ukraine, Belarus), you get admissions through an "agent/school representative", now these agents or school representatives have hostels/rooms they can assign to their students on arrival, furthermore, based on whatever outrageous sum they are able to extort from you would determine the condition of accommodation you are given on arrival, as such the next door room might have been in a worse shape. That the Nigerian student's association, Nigerian diplomatic missions there are numb leads me to suspect that a greedy countryman there may have been the bad actor/actress in these. So might not have been a case of racism but act of wickedness from a soul who has no regards for Life. |
