Exactly! We needed this Olympic like as if the future of Nigeria depended on it. It is a known fact that most countries build there national teams from the Olympics. Take a look at that Argentine Team of 2008 and u will think u are seeing the current Argentine senior Team.
We need this Olympics to blend our future stars into the Super Eagles.
"Our future depends on it ...Nigeria must do well in the Olympic , our success in the Olympic is what will determine our next World Cup success if we qualify "

by Samm Audu
It has been specially gathered that players and officials of Nigeria will be paid their bonuses and allowances just hours to their U23 AFCON final against Algeria on Saturday in Dakar.

Officials disclosed that sports ministry personnel, who will pay them will only arrive early morning on Saturday and ensure the team are paid before they step out on the Leopold Sedar senghor Stadium in Dakar by 8pm same day.

“The sports ministry officials are due in by midnight and thereafter they will pay the team,” an official specially disclosed.

The players are due $2,000-a-man win bonus and a daily allowance of $100 beginning from their training camp in The Gambia.

The Dream Team VI reached the championship game without being paid a dime.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick has admitted the federation are facing financial hard times.

"These are tough times in Nigeria and this is also affecting the federation as we are tied to the apron strings of the government,”Pinnick said.

Why pay them some few hours before the match ? Pay them after the match and avoid what happened in Brazil to repeat itself , they will share money till late hr and refuse to concentrate ..my take .

Yes i prefare more experience at d back as u know that is d major weakness in dat team. I would nt want Ighalo in this team cos i would love to see us raise younger forwards dat can compete for position with Ighalo in d attack.

And may I know y u prefer Musa over Ambrose and Ndidi over Omeruo?Remember Ambrose is a natural centre back.
Musa Mohammed has speed and he function well in the attack and his recovery rate is hog her than Ambrose , I see him becoming a better player before the tournaments proper , don't forget, he can handle dead ball and set pieces , I want us to have numerous options in that category . Although Ambrose can attack too but his recovery rate can't be compare to to the young blood . And Omeruo is injury prone , he can be a calamity on his off day , Ndidi can play that role also play as a dm very well ....

@ icon. I really don't like ur proposed team ....but I noticed that u want players with wealth of experience in the back line also , in the midfield , but I would have preferred Musa in that position of Ambrose and Ndidi to replace Kenneth . And we don't really know what tomorrow holds for us ...but we need the likes of ighalo , in that attack when the going gets tough .... I know we will do well come Rio . Don't forget that is the super eagles that is going to play the next World Cup if we qualify .

Honestly,i am disappointed with Awoniyi's performance today. He lacks stamina and ball control which make him lose ball in vital situations. I think he should be left alone to develop for now. People are overhyping the lad.
His touches were brilliant , are u sure u watched the match ? The problem of that team lies in d midfield ,if u watch from the beginning of this competition to this stage , they ve been unable to spring 2/3 passes together without making a mistake , and they ve not been able to give beautiful passes to d attack ,Sia one should be blame for this . And the right winger that played yesterday is just another error , He makes Dimgba look like messi . I hope Dimgba comes back from injury before out match against the host . The team will get better .

Our defence is a huge weak point especially that jersey no.15. Always vulnerable and prone to wrong passes and indecision.
Even Siasia has lost hope of qualifying from the group. That was why he introduced Victor Osimhen with just less 30 seconds left just to cap him.

For now, I can see only few footballers in that squad. Etebo, the captain Azubuike, Goalkeeper Daniel, Ajayi and Awoniyi
And the rest are basketballers? So far, they ve tried , i wonder what u will say if they don't get to this stage ?

Sports › Re: Oliseh Back To School To Solve Goal Scoring Problem by lexyman(m): 4:22pm On Dec 04, 2015
Our problem is not scoring ,but how to create scoring chances ,the sooner we know how to follow the trend of modern football ,out problem will be solved to an extent . We need a fantastic attacking midfielder ,we need a real 10, who will play that free role very well . He will create the scoring chances and our problem is solved .

I will recommend these guys :
They can get better and improve in every game .kelechi iheanacho, sone aluko, and probably ,Michael Babatunde , aside these guys ,the rest will struggle .

I don't see this policy working ,I see it as a selfish interest from the side of the NFF.
Firstly, I ve not seen anywhere in the world that they restricts their youth from traveling abroad to acquire more knowledge of the game , also to deliver services in which they will be paid for . This policy will only kill the future of our footballers .

The only solution to this problem is to make our league attractive and this will make the boys believe that they can stay back home to earn a living , somany of these boys solely depend on their talents which is football to earn a living , and its a thing of a very short lifespan ....infact ,they re like stocks , they can only be attractive when they ve value , ...if NFF shld restrict them ,in future they will never forgive Nigeria . Give them freedom let them do what they want .and keep nuturing more talents through the youth development program ,if we have more talents ,the team will be super saturated with stars that will deliver in the coming future . Give them freedom ,let them do what they like

.they can only set orientation camp for them , to teach them many things and how to avoid slave contracts .

This Egyptian coach will put his team under pressure , and they will fail come tomorrow .

The dream team is an attacking side but the Egyptian team will have to come out to play so as to get the needed point ,but it will not be easy for them cos of the attacking prowess of d dream team ...although it will be an open game .Egypt can be very deadly at set pieces and their short passes , aside that nothing spectacular , our wing play will put their defense under pressure and to stop the attacking combo of Seth, Etebor ,Mohammed ,Ajayi and Awoniyi will be an Herculean task for them ...another victory on the way for the dream team .

TheSuperNerd, as much as Icon4s joins us here to share his knowledge, we should know he is our elder.

He might sound superior or make you feel he is belittling us his younger ones but I want us, especially those of us who are regularly here to keep in mind that he is not our age mate in any way. Outside here, we would greet him with all due respect.

Please, no matter how angry you get, or how angry Icon4s makes you, keep it in mind he is our elder.
You guys are making this thread boring when you keep discussing age , it's so irrelevant!

I'm okay with the Final "Official" 21-man list for the Caf U-23 Afcon based on the talents we had available for this "outside-Fifa-window tournament".

Hope Caf works to make this tournament "Fifa-scheduled/Fifa-windowed" with respect to the future.

Isaac Success will make it to Senegal. There seem to be an understanding with Granada. Thanks goodness for that. *smiles*

We knew we wouldn't have "all" of our best U-23 talents for this Nov/Dec Olympic qualifying tournament.

So let's focus on the Olympic ticket with these ones. I believe they'll deliver coz they're far stronger than the AAG squad "on paper".

I believe after we must have secured one of the three Olympic tickets up for grabs, then shall the Siasia led-technical crew settle down and draw up a list of Nigeria's "BEST OF THE BEST" U-23 Super Talents to make up the Dream Team for Rio 2016.

We know who they are. A couple of them are even in this Senegal 2015 U-23 Afcon-bound Squad.

So for now, it's first things first...........*smiles*
Something keeps telling me that this present under 23 team is the real super eagles , I pray they qualify for the Olympic .

Do not tell the legendary coach to shut up. Westerhof revolutionized Nigerian football and put the structure we are enjoying today.

His team was too brilliant and we were rated as the fifth best team in the World. We played any team without fear. The Italian team that knocked us out of the '94 World Cup was the second best team in the World and with the best player in the World, Roberto Baggio.

Westerhof changed the lives of a lot of youngsters and made them super stars. Where did Van Gaal see Finidi George to sign him? Watching Finidi play for Westerhof. Westerhof used to have primary school footballers come and watch the Super Eagles train.

He was a visionary man and treated us like his own. If anyone has the right to caution Coach Oliseh when he is Faltering, it is the Legend, Coach Clemens Westerhof.

He did too much for us for any Nigerian to tell him to shut up.
