Horrible experience. If i have 9 lives then i am sure i used 3 that night.

U will see many in the crowd just want to kill you just out of envy. Some want to kill you because you go your own way and they hate u cos they feel u r proud.

U will see some just want to know what tribe u are from. People wey no fit look u eye to eye on normal grounds will be killing you.

Then if you ever survive it, get ready for the months of sleepless nights and nightmares that follows.

We nova talk of the mad drugs and medical bills all for some rubbish you have no idea about.
i am glad you are fine. yes it's a horrible experience, i've also passed through something similar, luckily i left unhurt. #notojunglejustice

Sad. If you have ever been in such a position you will never ever wish such on anyone, not even your enemies.
Over 100 people around you and not one person will bother to ask your own side of the story. Just death looking at you face to face.

Why aren't Nigerians provided this level of security?

Isn't it shameful that personnels of the NPF are showing the world that a Caucasian life is worth more than that of a Nigerian?

Let's say you are given two options;

1) Stay in US prison for 10 years to gain Citizenship
Or
2) 100k per month job in Nigeria

Which will you choose??
Not comparable! There is nothing worth more than freedom

Besides, with a 100k salary, if one is prudent and minimize cost werever possible and saved reasonably, you may move to other Asian countries and utilize them as stepping Stones to a more developed country.

Just so you know being an American citizen isn't the be-all and end-all as it is made to seem.

Most Nigerians are hardworking.... in fact Nigerians make up the highest numbers of educated blacks in the US.

Forget all these stereotypes most people say... like crime, fraud, drug, etc..... Cos for every one fraudulent Nigerian abroad.... there are a thousand number of Nigerians doing legit business abroad.... and adding something to their host country.....be it through medicine, finance, or IT.

Oh, and remember the deputy Treasury president in the US is a Nigerian.
This is correct, not just among blacks but the most educated ethnic group in the US.

Quite refreshing fact to be honest ! cool

Just today the governor of Lagos State was on the News commissioning a car pack, with much fanfare. Appalling huh

That said, this sort of attitude by Nigerian ruling elites isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
PoliticsRe: Stop Celebrating Ordinary Flyovers In Nigeria. by Limassol(m): 10:04pm On Nov 16, 2021
Teslaa:
OP,

Firstly,I don't think any state in Nigeria have the financial capability to build these type of flyovers.

Secondly, what most people do not understand is that flyovers are not built to massage the ego of a governor or to get the support of the citizens of the state but to solve traffic problems only!

Except for Lagos where the population density is quite high,a flyover like this in any state is a white elephant project.

There's more to government administration than building roads and flyovers!
Obviously you've never been to kaduna, let alone Kano(third and second most populous states in the country respectively)... Traffic isn't yet comparable to that of Lagos but it's definitely becoming a nightmare.

However, I also think he should be punished for reckless such action. Sadly, nothing will be done and this whole issue will be swept under rug.

But prices have been incessantly skyrocketing even before the onset of Covid-19, can you please explain this?

With just 200k, you can become wealthy in Nigeria if you can stay in rural settlement breeding local goats. But everyone wants to be in the city.
Why must our poultries stay put on those oyinbo chickens ? Why not local birds? With very little attention, they can increase in numbers in no time.

We have no business been poor but...
This is laughable.... I mean no offense.

With the rate of insecurity, inflation and other factors plaguing our economy such investment is doomed to fail.

There are actually more than this figure

Alot of crypto millionaires unknown
Well, this is purely unfounded assumption, clearly bereft of real evidence.

Nonetheless, I still believe there are crypto millionaires in our mist. But the lack of quantiafiable data means no one knows for sure the actual number of such Rich persons.

Agitations come with a cost. And the people of Eastern Nigeria are aware of this. We're not going to accept the status quo just for the sake of peace. That's the peace of a graveyard! There were gully erosions in our roads before IPOB. There were policemen every pole before IPOB. There were corruption and lack of infastructure before IPOB. Actually IPOB became a phenomenon as a result of her desire to correct these. So when most of you none Igbos start to point to the negative effects of IPOB agitations, it important to also note the Evil realities that led to the emergence of IPOB..
