nzeobi: When we get tired of spending money, we will run away like the Americans.
While I do not like the BH ideologies and tactics, I still think we can negotiate with them and stop wasting careless money fighting them Negotiating with battle-hardened terrorists like Boko haram and ISWAP will do far more harm than good; for one, that will mean giving legitimacy to their barbarous ways which in turn will be a huge insipiration to would-be terrorists. secondly, the goverment will have to make huge concessions at the end of the day, unbefitting and ungraceful. worse of it all,it will only subside the problem not solve it - the settlement agreed between the colombian goverment and FARC terrorists is a good case study. however, ending the Boko Haram Insurgency is not rocket science, it could be achived with sheer political will and commitment, but could it be achieved? the endemic corruption ingrained in our society will always be our biggest obstacle in that dream. |

You can't ban bullying! you can address it in someway but utter banning is out of anyones power not even the goverment. show me a Nigerian child that has never been bulied one way or another, none. Can Laws help to reduce incidents? of course! how about a complete ban? thats whishful thinking mate. |

thebosstrevor1: Schools are also there to promote positive behavior and one of the positive behavior is respect for others and also authority. Authorities can be seniors, teachers and staff members.
It is not a crime if a junior student is punished by a senior student for breaking school rules and regulations as long as it is not through aggression or violence. I strongly disagree with such assertion, seniors shouldn't be given to the authority to discipline juniors(regardles of whether aggressive or not), infact, corporal punishment as a whole is ineffective and has long-term effects. however, i belive there are far better ways to discipline an erring pupil in a safe and reasonable manner, corporal punishment is not. That said, the point op raised is unrealistic and borderline impossible, as many have explained , it's not something that can easily be banned, due to many factors. |

People who studied for their Masters or PhD do stand better opportunities to land jobs than someone with a foreign bachelor's degree because of China's burgeoning population. English teaching jobs used to be easy to land especially for foreigners with good pronunciation skills, but all that is changing since the government begun clamping down on English training centres. You may want to Google for jobs in China. All the best to you. Thanks! how about menial jobs? And how viable is doing business in China? |

I'm relating the story cos this is an anonymous site and had no idea while she was naked in that situation. You sound childish. its completely normal for an adult to sleep naked, most people do. however, the frightening situation that night may have completely whirlwind her mind to even realise she was naked, she may not have had any cynical agenda in mind, just circumstance. Again, its normal. You seem to be lonely/bored/jobless/single, whatever the case put that time and energy into something productive. That would be best for you. |

You people attach so much importance to gender... It's primitive...
I would like a girl child because I want a mini version of me... Not because she's going to end up a saint or something... Chances are your yet-to-be born daughter may be a completely different version from you, it may be awkward but truth is there is little you can do about it,and that's fine. |

'A photograph taken in Ireland in 1972 of a woman using the rifle of her fiancé
who was wounded in a battle against the British army. Her wounded fiancé
survived after being transported by car to a safe place, while his girlfriend
clashed with British soldiers until she was shot and killed.
When the English army battalion commander found out that they were fighting a
woman, he ordered his soldiers not to touch her body and allowed the Irish to
bury her. They heard the English commander repeat this sentence: ‘’We defend a
queen who doesn't care about us. And this woman cares about her lover and
her land.”

The photo was chosen for Women's Day in Ireland and they wrote this sentence:
"Don't be afraid to be associated with a strong woman; the day may come when
she'll be your only army" Any reference where this was culled from? |

But then again, I also think the organizers took a page from the book of Nigerian politicians rigging Messi into power,
If you ask me, both Ronaldo and Messi shouldn't have this award.
Even from the rankings, you will notice how bias it was.
How Mendy was ignored because he is African But an African won the award in 1995, despite strong showings by klinsmann and Del Piero. Europeans never scream bias because the winner merited it. |

Lagosianswag: I love Messi and Ronaldo alike, but if Lewandowski had won this award, it wouldn't have caused any controversy whatsoever because he surely deserves it.
The award was cancelled unfortunately last year (due to covid). He picked up from where he stopped the previous season and broke records last season and yet his best was not good enough.
I guess like all popular awards, it's a popularity contest, reason why I don't respect these awards.
Trophies and Game Stats are it for me. I'm done with award shows, it's all politics.
From Ballon D' Or To Ballon D' Dust Baba relax, In 2013 the world watched in shock as Ronaldo was awarded ahead of Ribery, no one said it was a popularity contest because it probably favors your candidate, but here you are lamenting over an award Messi fully deserves, haba na |

A real man is quantified by the content of his character and not by his Instruments.
It's going to become worst till when real men can only be simulated in computers because men would have sisied out completely.
These are my personal opinions though. Just to be clear, there is no such thing as a "real man", the phrase itself is boderline meaningless when explaining humans, for we are complex, dynamic and not as black and white as some people try to make it seem. however, it is worth saying that, gentlemen rarely shout angrily at their spouse, i for one don't. That said, does that mean men who do are bad/fake? Not necessarily. There could myriad of reason for such outburst -- stress, mental health, an underlying condition, e.t.c. until you fully understand the cause of their emotions, desist from giving men such an absurd label. |
