ozoebuka1:I think this case might be different and the accused will very much be in the hook here. The plaintiffs did not directly invested in MMM and as abiding by MMM terms and conditions is not relevant. They gave the money to the accused who promised them 30% at the end of the month, it was the accused who then invested the money. Even, if the MMM terms and agreement were applicable, it would have been null and voided by a good lawyer, who knows his worth. Not all terms of conditions, agreements, etc are bidding even if you sign them. By definition and in the court of law, MMM is a fraudulent Ponzi scheme and any agreement made with MMM is null and void and not enforceable in any court of law or cited as evidence to Barr aggrieved individuals to seek redress. A fraudulent entity or an individual cannot enforce agreement obtained during the process of carrying out his or her fraudulent activities. That is why you see that, mafias don't go to court to enforce their agreements or take their debtors to court, they settle it on the streets, sometimes with the victim paying the ultimate price. I don't think, this MMM story has ended, expect to see many similar cases very soon. |
youngest85:Every human being born of a woman, including yourself will be 'rip in advance'...we don't just know when...many who passed on today, were sure they will stay on, till old age and it is very possible that, you may pass on before she ever do as HIV is no longer the death sentence it use to be. Your comment shows you are myopic and lacks depth and understanding. |
Enyimbamercedes:It might have been poorly written, from my understanding, the N10m is for something else and does not appear to be in contention, may have just been mentioned for completion, since both checks were written at the same time and presented to the bank together. It appear, that the original amount owed was N7.4m, and a part payment of N1.4m was attempted with the dud check and the creditor is now suing for the full amount of N7.4m...the mention of N7m might just be due to normal rounding off. |
QuotaSystem:The "...Unity of Nigeria should not be negotiated", while they put BREXIT up for a vote, currently implementing BREXIT, also while the unity of U.K. is in questions as other component parts have voiced their desires to EXIT. |
I can even buy the building my ex-whatever is living or working in, if it make sound financial sense. Dude, you had a romantic aka pleasure with her; don't mix pleasure with business and don't allow pleasure to spoil business. The only reason you should buy the house, if you found out recently that, it will be a bad investment. |
Roon9:If you have to recharge your battery, unless the vehicle was parked for s very long time unused and was not warmed, then that is a sign of something else been wrong. Your alternator charges your batteries, whenever the vehicle engine is running, if you are loosing battery charge check your alternator and belts. You can top up your battery liquid levels and batteries loose their effectiveness with age and you can test the battery to see if, it still any good. |
calabaman:The mentality of some people on this forum will make cavemen giggle for their superior intellect. |
freeze001:From the read on the statement, he was making a generic statement...his statement is not specific to a particular on going case or trial and as such, he is not interfering with anything. As a citizen, he has a right to express himself and entitled to his opinions. |
He should go look for a job first, let him go out there and hustle with his mates, he has brought two souls into this world for crying out loud. A man without a job and with no money commands zero respect. The Bible even said, a man that cannot provide for his household is worse than an infidel. He should also thank the mother for providing stability for the kids and should save the extral energy and time to sort himself out. He is the father of the children, so they are going no where and they will remain his...stop fighting with the lady taking care of your kids, especially when you cannot provide the care. No point wasting money for court cases, the truth is, given his circumstances, no Judge will listen to him...at the most they will give him supervised visitation that he has to spend more in transportation to fulfill and some Judges will also slap him with child support on top of that, by imputing income. |
WhoBeThisMan:I didn't not say an academic failure wouldn't be successful, there myriad of school dropouts who are millionaires today. An 'Olodo' is another name for someone, who is not successful academically, at least that is my usage. Yes, if you graduate with a third class, it will not be wrong to adjudged that individual as unintelligent academically, but just like every categorization in life, there are a small percentage errors or mis classification, but it still follows that, a larger percentage of that category are unintelligent academically. As the OP has indicated and I concurred, being an academic inept is not a show stopper to success or riches, there may be other things you may excel at....the same goes, that generally all first class graduates makes it in life, but again, a few percentage of them don't make it, they are poor and miserable, but these few statistical errors wouldn't change the general statistic for this category of people. |
Change the title to: "If Education don't work for you, Try these..." or "Being An Olodo is not the end" |
freeze001:Misplaced outrage! The Judge is in error here, A judge can not self-indict someone and be the Judge over the case. This is not a case of court contempt, there was no gag order not to discuss the case openly, even at that, he was making a generic public statement. Every citizen have the right to freedom of expression including criticizing a court ruling or the manner in which, it was obtained. If he had made the comments in court, the Judge would have been within his right to either ask him to clarify his statements or hold a contempt hearing. |
mccoy47:About to be some else baby mama. |
Karlman:Honestly, there should be no diplomacy in telling her an emphatic No, don't say or behave in a manner that she will interpret as you empathizing with her or that you understand her situation or the reason(s) she might be having such feelings. Tell her you are married and are offended that, she does not respect your marriage, yourself or your wife. Tell her you love your wife and will remain faithful to her. I believe the above is civilize enough; you are not calling her names, or disparaging her, you are just telling it as it is. |
Crauxx:Nurses use stethoscope to check heart rate, bp and various pre-screening checks and note them on your chart, then hand it over the Doctor for review, before he or she enters to see you. At least, that has been my experience from my yearly physicals. |
Karlman:Your downfall will be your fear of 'bruising her feelings'. As long as you have that as an objective knowing fully well her ulterior motives, you will eventually compromise, not today, no tomorrow, but very soon. Obviously, she does not care about the sanctity of your marriage. So, you have to decide which is of more importance to you; the sanctity of your marriage or bruising her feelings, then act accordingly. |
This sound more like MMM 3.0. |
Only recharge cards? Who that one epp! Is she giving heads too? ![]() |
enedoboy:Bros, don't take the mouth and body odor suggestions lighthearted. When you have these odors, most times you will not know yourself and rarely do friends or family members let you in on the fact that you stinks for fears of hurting your feelings. |
Young03:Bad idea, don't take a total stranger to your house and a lady for that matter if you are male, thank me later. Take her to somewhere official or governmental like police station, motherless baby home, homeless shelter, etc...even if you have to spend some money for room and board. If you are of the same gender and feel compelled to take the person home, first stop at the nearest police station to drop a statement and what your plans are. |
Chiomenwa:Nice try...but you are wrong 'delivery invoice' is not a license. Plus, No. 4&5 talk about 'forged' and 'fake' license, which is not the same as 'in valid' license that No. 1 attempts to criminalize. e.g....If I am driving with an expired license, it is neither fake nor forged, but it is invalid...and many other things can make a license invalid e.g. mutilation, mis spelled name(s), wrong dates, data, etc.. |
It is truly a shame to publish something written by a primary school dropout to the public. It says a lot about the leadership in this country, when no one deem it fit to correct this obvious image denting publication. Another interesting one: Driving with Hackney Permit - Impound. Non Display of Hackney Permit - Impound. So how are you to display it, when it is crime to drive with it. Don't get me I understand it is a mistake, which begs the question, if the law published to the public is full of disinformation and mistakes as this, how can they morally enforce it? |
What is 'valid deliver license' as in No.1. Don't tell me, they meant to say 'Driver's license'...No body caught the error before it went to print and after printing, why has it not been corrected? |
Sijo01:Is that circumcision? It would have been preferable at a younger age. |
GreenMavro:At the rate you are going, you stand a better chance of getting Animal Husbandry than Medicine on your next try... . |
Can one archive or save facetime stream on your phone? I know you can do it via QuickTime on your PC by connecting the phone to it, but she never mentioned that this is how she recorded it...This leaves more unanswered questions...because iPhones do not have the ability to record FaceTime streams or video. |
ztanleechima:You know, these are electronic votes right? And that, a few even less than 100 botnet PC can pull in those votes within a few minutes? |
Why are people not asking the obvious and why did the Man of God skip addressing the main allegation against him, but instead have to throw shades? Is it true, you have to sow a seed in order to see the man of God? |
TrollTrap:I truly feel for people like these. Their level of education and exposure make them most susceptible to things like these. They say knowledge is power and one become powerless, when he or she does not have the knowledge or exposure necessary to counter the deceits & lies they may face ahead. Some have been brainwashed and deluded overtime, making their knowledge and exposure play secondary role to their beliefs. They have been told to suspend all reasons in order to be in tune with God as 'the natural mortar man, cannot understand or comprehend the almighty immortal God". I hope one day, Christians will be like Paul, who despite his beliefs, used Philosophy to convince the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers. He was a man of sound beliefs backed up by sound knowledge. |
iamadonis2:The new covenant does not command tithes, only offerings. Even with the old covenant and laws, Jesus said 'tithing is not a weighty matter of the law. Hebrew said, people received tithe "according to the law" and that these laws were annulled because they were weak and useless. James 2:10, "whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one is guilty of all". If you therefore insist on keeping the laws regarding tithing, you should also stop eating pork, you stone adulterers to death, kill those who do not observe the Sabbath day, kill homosexuals. Tithe was established through the law through Moses and not Malachi and it was usually good items as indicated by Malachi. And according to the law; Tithe was divided into three allocations...1st year, it was given to the Levites; 2nd year to the widows, orphans and the poor, 3rd year it was eaten in the company of the faithful before God as thanksgiving giving for his faithfulness.....7th year, there is no planting, no reaping and therefore no tithing...Deut 14. Plus tithing is only applicable to Jews. Servants and slaves who worked the fields with the Jews also do not tithe as the land does not belong to them. Finally, apart from widows, orphans; the only people who were designated to receive tithes were Levites and despite your Pastor's insistence, he is not a Levite. The Apostles did not preach nor receive tithes, they receive offerings and support from those under their spiritual care. |
zionmade:Dude am on the same page with you, Judas had to betray Jesus, someone had to do the dirty work. If Judas had declined, I truly believe that God would raised the stones to betray Jesus or made so he goes to the cross to die for our sins. The whole essence of God's plan would have collapsed, if Jesus did not died and someone have to do the dirty work like betraying him, nailing him to the cross, etc...I get all that. But that is not the point, the point is were these people cautioned, were they warned? Case in point, was Judas warned, and the answer is, Yes he was warned. To conclude that, Judas had no choice because Jesus had to died is to display a profound lack of understanding of the scriptures and God's plan. Even Jesus had a choice to die or not to die, the Bible said, he choose to die, same way Judas had a choice to betray him or not, but he choose to betray him...God has never and will never override our freewill, even in about bringing his plans to past and we bear the consequences good or bad of how we choose to exercise our freewill even if the resultant of that exercise is salvation or Godswill. |
