The plaintiffs did not directly invested in MMM and as abiding by MMM terms and conditions is not relevant. They gave the money to the accused who promised them 30% at the end of the month, it was the accused who then invested the money.

Even, if the MMM terms and agreement were applicable, it would have been null and voided by a good lawyer, who knows his worth. Not all terms of conditions, agreements, etc are bidding even if you sign them.

By definition and in the court of law, MMM is a fraudulent Ponzi scheme and any agreement made with MMM is null and void and not enforceable in any court of law or cited as evidence to Barr aggrieved individuals to seek redress. A fraudulent entity or an individual cannot enforce agreement obtained during the process of carrying out his or her fraudulent activities.

That is why you see that, mafias don't go to court to enforce their agreements or take their debtors to court, they settle it on the streets, sometimes with the victim paying the ultimate price.

I don't think, this MMM story has ended, expect to see many similar cases very soon.

It might have been poorly written, from my understanding, the N10m is for something else and does not appear to be in contention, may have just been mentioned for completion, since both checks were written at the same time and presented to the bank together.

It appear, that the original amount owed was N7.4m, and a part payment of N1.4m was attempted with the dud check and the creditor is now suing for the full amount of N7.4m...the mention of N7m might just be due to normal rounding off.

If you have to recharge your battery, unless the vehicle was parked for s very long time unused and was not warmed, then that is a sign of something else been wrong.

Your alternator charges your batteries, whenever the vehicle engine is running, if you are loosing battery charge check your alternator and belts.

You can top up your battery liquid levels and batteries loose their effectiveness with age and you can test the battery to see if, it still any good.

Yes, if you graduate with a third class, it will not be wrong to adjudged that individual as unintelligent academically, but just like every categorization in life, there are a small percentage errors or mis classification, but it still follows that, a larger percentage of that category are unintelligent academically.

As the OP has indicated and I concurred, being an academic inept is not a show stopper to success or riches, there may be other things you may excel at....the same goes, that generally all first class graduates makes it in life, but again, a few percentage of them don't make it, they are poor and miserable, but these few statistical errors wouldn't change the general statistic for this category of people.

The Judge is in error here, A judge can not self-indict someone and be the Judge over the case. This is not a case of court contempt, there was no gag order not to discuss the case openly, even at that, he was making a generic public statement. Every citizen have the right to freedom of expression including criticizing a court ruling or the manner in which, it was obtained.

If he had made the comments in court, the Judge would have been within his right to either ask him to clarify his statements or hold a contempt hearing.

Nurses use stethoscope to check heart rate, bp and various pre-screening checks and note them on your chart, then hand it over the Doctor for review, before he or she enters to see you.

I know a particular guy who runs an NGO that pays the fees of school kids from poor homes. I offered to sponsor this humanitarian venture. The funds I plan to put into it will be my monthly tithe.

Simple meaning: I will not pay tithe in church. Rather I'll take the exact 10% and support this guy.

The new covenant does not command tithes, only offerings. Even with the old covenant and laws, Jesus said 'tithing is not a weighty matter of the law. Hebrew said, people received tithe "according to the law" and that these laws were annulled because they were weak and useless.

James 2:10, "whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one is guilty of all". If you therefore insist on keeping the laws regarding tithing, you should also stop eating pork, you stone adulterers to death, kill those who do not observe the Sabbath day, kill homosexuals.

Tithe was established through the law through Moses and not Malachi and it was usually good items as indicated by Malachi.

And according to the law; Tithe was divided into three allocations...1st year, it was given to the Levites; 2nd year to the widows, orphans and the poor, 3rd year it was eaten in the company of the faithful before God as thanksgiving giving for his faithfulness.....7th year, there is no planting, no reaping and therefore no tithing...Deut 14.

Plus tithing is only applicable to Jews. Servants and slaves who worked the fields with the Jews also do not tithe as the land does not belong to them.

Finally, apart from widows, orphans; the only people who were designated to receive tithes were Levites and despite your Pastor's insistence, he is not a Levite.

The Apostles did not preach nor receive tithes, they receive offerings and support from those under their spiritual care.

Dude am on the same page with you, Judas had to betray Jesus, someone had to do the dirty work. If Judas had declined, I truly believe that God would raised the stones to betray Jesus or made so he goes to the cross to die for our sins.

The whole essence of God's plan would have collapsed, if Jesus did not died and someone have to do the dirty work like betraying him, nailing him to the cross, etc...I get all that.

To conclude that, Judas had no choice because Jesus had to died is to display a profound lack of understanding of the scriptures and God's plan.
