Truth234:If someone have $20 billions sitting in his account, what is the business of the government, if the money were legitimately acquired? Now, the government is giving them ultimatum on how long to keep their money and on the other hand forbidding them from taking their own money abroad to spend. If you do not see anything wrong with that picture, I do not know what to really say. The Federal Government is treading on dangerous grounds here, no government can authoritatively dictate to people how to use or bank their money, I see the government losing badly, if someone take them to international court on this issue and this will scarce the sh!t out of foreign investors, who should be right afraid that, if they bring their dollars into the country for investment, their money will be trapped. If you work, do business and live in Lagos State or any state for that matter and the Governor of that State do the same to you, you will cry foul. Imagine the riots on the street; if the Governor of Lagos telling all Lagosians that, since they work and do business in Lagos and Lagos have invariably made them rich, they can only bank with a Lagos bank, they are not allowed to transfer money to their village or state or origin for projects there...and if they have any projects, they must first seek the permission of the Government House is Ikeja for approval before such transfers can take place. The Governor will then justify his action by saying, he wants liquidity to flourish in Lagos State, to help the economy of Lagos. |

Is NAFDAC is professional organ of government or made up quacks? This is not the proper way of destroying medicinal products! ritababe:Most people that takes your position, have never had encounter with individuals of his kind or had been affected by their atrocities. Contrarily, most people that don't care meting out or condoling these types of jungle justice have been victims or have lived through their atrocities or has been affected by it. A common ground for understanding between these two polar opposite opinions is either: 1. Those who have experience it, to undo the experience, we know this is not going to happen; you remember horrible events like these for the rest of your life. 2. Those that have not experienced it, to experience these atrocities first hand...I hear you just say 'God forbid bad thing'. You can see that, both positions have some valid point and it is not fair to stick to one side, but at the same time quote the almighty God in an attempt not to empathize with the other side's position. |
obixcel:The 2016 US Presidential election can be summed in a single sentence, taking percentage of votes and it is..."There was a drop in democrats votes, with a spike in votes for third party candidate candidates and with Republican votes holding steady, resulting in an electoral college victory for the republicans and a majority votes for the democrats." If you do your independent research, you will also come to the same conclusion. |
abbey621:Let me address your points one after the other: 1. Striking down unfavorable portions of Obamacare via reconciliation and leave the favorable portions. This is Alice in wonderland wish list, when it comes down to the actual work, it is not possible. The most hated unfavorable portion of Obamacare is the individual mandate and the favorable portions seems to be: removal of pre-existing condition for buying insurance, allowing teens to stay on their parents policies till age 26, removing lifetime caps, etc. If you look closely, the favorable portions is being paid for by the unfavorable portion, if you remove the individual mandate....Insurance company will not be able to offer any of the favorable portions, because their pool will only contain sick people, no one will be forced to buy insurance until they are sick and the insurance companies will be out of business within a month. The only sure path is to repeal the whole of Obamacare, or appoint DHS reps that will change rules to undermine the law or starve it of funds, the net effect of any of these is, about 20 million Americans will loose coverage, and all the favorable portions that he promised Americans during the campaign that, he will keep, will be all gone! The Republican will have a lot to answer for in situation like these, next time around at the pool and believe me, despite all the talks, they are approaching 'Repeal of Obamacare' with caution. 2. NAFTA and TPP Dead! Yes, they can do this, but they risk running the Country into a Recession. By repealing NAFTA, the flow of America manufactured goods and services will also be subjected to the same type of tariff and fees abroad that the American government subjected these countries goods to at the import into American. As we know, no single country is an Island, if American goods & services do not find favorable entrances into markets all over the world, those manufacturing companies that were been protected by these policies in America will crumble under their own weight. Plus, this will exacerbate the problem at the US-mexico border...one of the things NAFTA did was to allow companies strive in Mexico that employed lots of Mexicans, many Agricultural companies sprang up in mexico because they had easy access to America market. Once NAFTA is repealed, all those people will head to border and will invade America for jobs. If Trump like, let him built a 30ft wall, they will construct a 31ft ladder, plus digger additional and bigger tunnels into America. 3. Deport 2-3million illegal Immigrants Firstly, this will require a huge budget, I doubt is congress is going to appropriate this kind of funds, so this huge task will be left to current ICE agents, plus...it is not true that illegal immigrates do not have these inalienable rights that citizens have. They have a right to due process of the law, you cannot just capture them in the night and ship them home the next morning. Only a judge can order deportation, and if these immigrats have access to good lawyers, they can delay this process for a long time and if this is coordinated, they will clog the court system. Plus, American businesses love cheap labor, those grocery you see at Walmart and your local supermarket are cheap thanks to the cheap labor from the illegal Mexicans. So All that Trump policies here will achieve is to drive them underground. If Trump and the GOP truly want to deport 3million illegals, they would have gone after the employers. If the demand is dried, the supply will crumble, but they will not do that, because most of these businesses are own by Republicans and Republican donors. 4. Remember, majority of Americans voted for Hillary. Trump's win is attributed to the fact that, many people stayed home and did not border to vote, most believed that Hillary got it in the bags and did not border to vote. So Trump or the Republicans do not have a mandate here. As they risk loosing their jobs, the next time around, hence they will be very cautious on everything they do. Will there be any changes with Trump win? Yes! there will be changes, but they will not be as drastic as he suggested during the campaign. |
RaeMystix:Theoretically, you are correct but to a large extent, you are not. First, the filibuster rule is still in place to a large extent in the Senate, which means the minority Democrat Senators will have a say in bills. Second, you only need 3 Senators from the GOP side,to flip on each bill that require simple majority votes and there are more than 3 GOP senators that are from blue states, who will gauge the tone and will of their constituents on each bill before voting. Third, America is not a democracy, it is a constitutional Republic, which means Americans have certain enumerated inalienable rights that no President, Senators, Congress or majority of America citizens can take away. Fourthly, Politicians in American always listen to their constituents and knows that, their jobs & seats are not guaranteed, the next time around, if they screw them. Remember that, Trump is not a politicians, he does not know the inner workings of the US establishment. Some of his utterances during the campaign are against Republicans conservative values and if you look at his current transition team, they are made up of career Republican politicians and his rumored picks for various positions are the same. Which means, though something's will change, but you will be highly disappointed if you expect a drastic change or even most of the things he mentioned on the campaign trail coming to past. Campaigning is one thing, governorship is another. |
engrelvis:America is not a democracy, it is a constitutional Republic, look up the difference. |

I do not know about witches or wizard, but there are supernatural powers and scientifically advancements backs this. I grew up in the village in Nigeria and have the consciousness of both the evil and good supernatural powers. One thing I also believe is that, the more one believe in them, the more they have powers over you and it could be metaphysical. Google 'Area 51' (Air Force Base, Nevada, USA, codename 'Dreamland')... the US is harnessing the prowess of supernatural extra-terrestrial beings to develop the next generation stealth fighter planes and weaponry. |
mamabomboy:but in any conflict, both sides must take casualties, it is naive to think that, only the bad guys will take casualties....in some conflicts, the good guys even loses the battle and the war. |

Wonderful! |
More people voted for Hillary compare to Trump, the US by and large is still be governed by sets of laws and principles. Trump needs peace to govern and the US citizens will take it likely if Trump carter to the very few. There will be riots and unrest on the streets. The professor should also look to history and note that, Americans unlike Nigerians will be the the forefront of these fights and will be more than willing to give up their life for a good cause and the government will listen. One of the major reason the Nigeria government has not sit up is because, no Nigerian is willing to take the fight to the government and organize peaceful disobedience even if it means dying in the process, but in the US many are willing to do it. Mass riots demanding for Trump's resignation will also be enough to drive him out of office. |

bukatyne:This is not true, the analysis you might be referencing must have stated that Trump out performed previous GOP Presidential nominees in these demography. Hillary out performed him with these groups, but under performed Obama with these groups. Many democrats crossed over to vote for Trump, and many sat it out; also the Sander's effect affected her, the FBI interference also hurted her. What PMB is currently to many low income people voted for him and are now wailing will happen in the US very shortly. When they revoke Obamacare, 20mil ppl will lose coverage, same with the other social services. It is crazy that union families voted heavily for him many becos they falsely believed that he will bring back manufacturing jobs from Mexico and China whereas this guy is against union and they will start gutting unions anytime now. |
chiefobdk:This is much ado about nothing. It does not make any iota of difference if he tears it or not; it is just a piece of paper, all he need do to get a new one is to fill some USCIS replacement form and mail it with a nominal fee and viola! He gets a new one. If he truly meant to reject his permanent residency, he need not tear his green card, he should simply write USCIS asking them to cancel it or he can even do that at the US embassy in Nigeria. |
Chaloba:Trump CANNOT send them out, even if tried as they are in the country legally, unless they commit any crime. Even if He influences congress to pass a new immigration policies, those new policies cannot affect prior green card holders. |
This is a very naive and ignorant question...Nigeria andNigerians have a deep shared interest in what happens in the US, as it will affect us all. No doubt, America is the most powerful country on earth today, with far reaching influence over many other countries than other powerful countries. By analogy, the smaller trees should and must be concern about what happens to the big iroko tree in its mix. |
OP, I think want you really meant to say is that, her makeup and body paintings looks flawless... Mary Kay really make nice products, with their help, what was thought as impossible before can be accomplished today by spending few minutes in front of a mirror. |
willyo:Maine and Nebraska's electoral college votes will be meaningless in this election. Nebraska's two electoral college votes will go to Trump and at the minimum Hillary picks two electoral votes from Main and Trump picks the last one. Hillary's blue wall is holding steady against Trump and with the news today about FBI concluding investigations on her email server, the poll reveversers we have been seeing for a week now will stabilize and this election will not be close going by electoral votes and she will have more than two states cushion against Trump. |
chronique:I guess you know so little about the US military and war complex. The GOP are more ready to start wars and they own the military complex of US. They prefer to fund America military research compare to fighting diseases or even the welfare of their people. |
agabasam:There is no news here, we all know she will win, some polls even give her a 98% chance of winning and since last week, the GOP have started floating talks of impeachment and that, they will block all her Supreme Court nominees. Am curious though about the 'two states'. The only states that are voting massively for her from early voting data are states with increased Hispanics and only FL & NV comes to mind, but she does not need these states to win. My personal take is, she will win by more than two states margins. she will win massively on electoral college votes, which is the only metrics by which which US elects their President, the popular vote counts will be close, but they are meaningless. |
It is easy to make such pronouncement, when all true indicators of the elections that indicated that she will win, with some giving her a 98.1% odds of winning. [img][/img] |
Rossikk:Yes, those groups are highly religious but their first point of call for solutions (or answers) to strange happenings is not their religion, that was the point I was trying to make. Galileo Galilei, Blaise Pascal, Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, Albert Einstein, etc were deeply religious people scientists and inventors, who believed in God; but use common sense, logic and exploring alternatives to seek answers to the difficult questions and events of their days. One of Einstein famous quotes is..."Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind". |
DonaTee:I don't believe Africa is bad, am sorry if my prior comment came out like that. My intentions is for us to first use common sense and logic to eliminate plausible causes before ascribing events to the supernatural. Even, the fact that we have exploited all common sense and available logic and still could not come to a reasonable conclusion does not mean that, it is supernatural, it might just mean that, we do not yet know the cause, given the available data and it is time to go hunt for new data points. Yes, there are satanic worshipers in developed worlds, whose default position for every event is the supernatural, we have wicans, card readers, palm readers, etc. The logic in my prior comment in also applicable to these set of people, in that; if you observe their followers, they do not tend to be achievers, however the leaders of these groups tend to be successful, because they are cleaver and had turn these practices to business and their followers are meant to pay for certain activities, card reading, palm reading, etc. The above reverse logic is also applicable in Nigeria, in that religious leaders be it in church, herbalists, marabout, etc tend to be more successful than their followers or believers, because they profit from these beliefs through payments from their followers for certain activity. The commandment of Jesus that 'freely ye receive, freely ye shall give' is lost on these people and unlike the early apostle who fervently await the coming of christ at any moment and therefore dwell in tents, these modern day believers build mansions, that could even rival our own imagination of heaven. |
