neocortex:Agreed, but Hillary will never win Utah and I doubt Gary will win it either. But the fact that, they are polling equally in Utah is epic and means that GOP will have to reallocate resources back to Utah, what they have never done in decades. Also, remember, that is only one poll...lets wait for other polls to come in. Trump fight with Romney is not helping him either in Utah, but I see Trump winning Utah eventually. |
Keneking:Friends with benefits....It is a non committed lady/guy relationship, when at the fore fronted the parties have agreed that, the friendship will not lead to any long time commitment or marriage and each party is allowed to date other people, but the friendship will non the less be with benefits e.g. unhindered access to the kittyspot by the guy in exchange for tangible and intangible gifts from the guy. In essence, it is hi-class olosho period! |
ycat:Great that, you are coming to the realization that, you put your trust in a loser like Trump and have resigned to fate that Hillary will be your next President. Now, remember, Hillary is still a weak candidate and you have a chance to knock her out come 2020; you must appeal to the independents and conspiracy theories do not fly well with them. You have started paddling one....that '...democrats will rig this election like they always do". I guess, you understand how Presidential Elections in the US are...., they are not National like in Nigeria. Each State conduct their Elections, collect their results, count them, announce the results and even decide how the their electorate college votes are divided....Now, there are more Republican Governors in the US than Democrat Governors, more Republican Secretary of States than Democrat Secretary of States....which means, more Republicans, will have interactions with this elections than democrats, but you still believe that democrats will 'rig this election like they always do'? There are some conspiracy theories about the voting machines, those have been debunked repeatedly....if 'democrats will rig this election like they always do', can you explain why they did not rig it the last two cycles to retain/take over the Senate and House? The only outside electoral process intervention into US Presidential Elections, where the voice of the people was mooted was the SCOTUS deciding for Bush and truncating the recount process in FL. Bush was only leading by 327-votes out of 6 million votes and FL laws allow a manual recount in those situation. Bush Jr was the Governor and Harris the Secretary of State was a GOP as well and she truncated the recount process in three counties and announced the results, despite her discretion, FL courts ruled in favor of Al'Gore but Bush Jr wanting to do big brother a favor appealed to the divided SCOTUS who then ruled on party 5-4 line on equal clause protection (which essentially invalidates FL recount laws which gives each candidate the latitude to choose which counties they want manual recounts from, FL did this to converse time from counting the whole State returns - but SCOTUS wanting to side with Bush seized on the 14th amended equal clause protection, that by counting only some votes, they are been given more protections than others, which is dumb!), thereby awarding the election to Georgia Bush...That is the only dark history and steal of America Presidential elections, and it was master-minded by the Republicans. |
neocortex:Not True, Sander would have also taken Trump to the Cleaners and would have gotten better margins against Trump by now compare to what Trump is doing. The key to American politics is, both parties will eventually rally around their candidates no matter who that individual is and no matter how divisive the nominating process was. The issue is wining independents and those in the middle, Sander had been an Independent but caucus with the Democrats, he would have had more traction with Independents compare to Hillary, plus Hillary is a very weak candidate and the weakest fielded by the Democrats in decades. |
ycat:I must have pinched a raw nerve there, take heart & sorry. The Truth is, Hillary Clinton, is one of the weakest candidates to have ever ran for the Presidency in decades and you guys had the chance to nominate a credible candidate to defeat her and you blew that chance by going to the fringe of society to pick a loser. Despite your characterization, I have voted for both GOP and Democrat Presidential candidates in the past, I am a registered Independent. The GOP media caused all these with their hate for Obama, and Hannity & Rush your two fan boys are major contributors to this inevitable Hillary Clinton win come November 8. Both of them pushed lots of hate and conspiracy to the base that, it become impossible to nominate a true conservative, YES Trump is not a conservative. I read that deep red Utah is now a virtual three way tie between Trump, Hilary & Gary; is Utah now a 'Pseudo Conservative State" in your books? Remember, they have been voting to GOP since the 60s. I do not know how proves, you guys need in order to know that you nominated a loser, so you can course correct next time instead of putting labels on people that pointed to obvious flaws in your process and candidate. Yes, Hillary will never win Utah and the chances of Gary winning is also slim to almost none, but the fact that this new development will force the GOP to now dedicate Resources back to Utah and start running ads there and do some mobilization there is epic and it reduces takes time and Resources away from true battleground states, where they would have been needed. Just forget this election, Hillary is your President for the next 4 years! Please, remember, she is still very weak, if you do not blow the nomination process in 2020, you have a good and better chance of making her a one term President. Remember the cardinal rule of US Presidential Elections, the Republican nor the Democratic voters do not decide the US Presidential Elections; the Independents do. You must appeal to the independents and moving to extreme right or extreme left is nail in the coffin. |
abike12:You made a valid and sensible contribution in bold above. However, the most important question is, why will a lady marry such a man in the first place, and also subject herself to such qualities for years? Then, when they start making money and are independent, they want to break out of it. It then means, they do not love the guy before, they were just using him as a meal ticket and will afford to subject themselves to all manners of ill treatments until they achieve their independence. Definitely, the men did wrong by killing their wives and deserve to rotten in jail, but the ladies are not blameless, they led these men on, they saw these controlling tendencies in their husbands years before, but choose to be submissive and carry on as if they are in total compliance. If these ladies had shown their independence earlier on, I am 100% sure, these guys would not have bother to marry then and their are men out there looking for such ladies. Warning to ladies and guys, when you are to marry; if you do not like what the total package that you are seeing; please it is not too late to say No and turn back....do not think, you can manage it, or make adjustment to the package you are presenting in the future or the package that you are seeing. |
N5,000; is that not like $10? You can't even buy lunch with it at work. Yeye dey smell. I will take the date and use it for networking, worth more than the $10. |
ycat:Dude, I can see that, you are way gone and nothing that will be said here will convinced you. You guy feeds on conspiracy theories it is unbelievable. When you accuse someone or say something, please include verifiable sources. Unlike your myopic self, I watch Fox News, listen to Rush Limbaugh and can't even remember the last time I watch NBC. I source my News from many angles, since I know that each media house have one bias or another. FYI: O'Reilly and Hannity are not Journalist, they have openly said so. They belong to the entertaining section of Fox News. Shepard and Kelly are very conservative and I listen to them regularly. You speak as if these individuals just joined Fox News when Trump decided to run. School yard Bully Trump, took offense to Kelly standing up to him and daring to ask him questions about his treatment of women and for that, you guys say she is no longer conservative? I guess all the past US presidents (GOP and Democrat) that are still alive are not supporting Trump, Bush Senior have indicated that he will be voting for Hillary, I guess they are not conservative. Ryan, McCain, and a host of GOP Senators, Reps, etc have withdrawn their support for Trump, I guess they are not conservative any more. Main street conservative news papers e.g. the Cincinnati Enquirer which hadn't endorsed a Democrat in almost 100yrs, Endorsed Hillary....The chronic conservative Arizona Republic, who had backed only Republic candidate in its 126 yrs history broke that tradition and endorse Hillary, The Columbus Dispatch, another Conservative darling endorsed Hillary...If you are not deaf or blind, you who has seen a pattern here...Trump is damaged goods. Christie, an avid Trump supporter, who is also heading Trump's Presidential Transition Team, just announced today that, he cannot defend Trump...Trump's campaign manager, have starting laying down bases for an exit due to some 'family needs'. |
ycat:Again, not truth, you listen too much to the GOP complains and spins, without taking time to do some research and look into statistics. Fox News is a major GOP media power house, it's rating is larger than all the liberal leaning medias combined. Agreed, their are more liberal leaning medias in the US, but viewership and ratings on the conservative leaning ones outperforms the liberal ones combined. Which means the conservative message get more exposure and penetration. The problem is the GOP the distortion in theGOP messaging, making lots of people to discard them. |
LORDOFAFONJAS:Not True, Trump was trying to control everything thing and when the moderators will have none of thing, he complains that, they are not giving him enough time, it is the same tactics bullies employ, when they don't get their way. During the second debate, Trump spoke for 39mins, 7sec while Clinton spoke for 38mins, 29secs. Meaning Trump technically spoke longer than Clinton...you can google it. |
ReneeNuttall:It is still not okay, their are lesbian and even transgender women, which essentially evaluates to the same as a guy searching a lady. |
dainformant:As recession dey shook everybody eye so, if Police catch dem dey poss with those guns; especially the pistol, which is not an approved hunting gun in Nigeria, those smiles on that faces will quickly turn to sadness and regrets. |
Mrop:O boy with this your English, you sure say dem go allow you collect your certificate next year so? |
JerryTemi:See levels!.... na groundnut seed abi na corn see the OP go sow? Two Simple Bible quiz for you.? 1. Of all the people whom Jesus healed in the Bible, how many sowed a seed for the Lord? 2. "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give."....Who said it, to who and in what occasion? |
Low sperm count just like malaria is no longer such a bad news. It simply means, his concentration are low and there are range of remedies from natural to medical. Google will return lots of hits, then he can continually do test to evaluate achievement milestones. Some can also be caused by bacteria infection, hence testing for bacteria and sticking to any aftermath prescribed treatment is very important. A friend had the same issue and tried everything to solve the problem with no success and have essentially given up....a doctor suggests testing for bacteria infection and it was a hit! He was prescribed some antibiotics and he is now an expectant daddy. |
OP, the saying goes that...the devil you know, is better than the angel you do not know and that rings especially true in marriage. Even if you are based in Nigeria, one month is not enough to pull the trigger on serious business like marriage. Giving your current status, virtually 95% of ladies you will meet, will agree to marry you without blinking an eye. Do not make the mistake that, others have made and are regretting it, every single day of their life. The odds are against you..... Pause for a moment, maybe your idea of marriage have not evolved as every other aspect of your life has, hence you might be looking at the ladies in UK of marriageable qualities differently. You may be still stuck in the Nigeria you left years ago, maybe you have to re-examine your idea of 'what a perfect marriage is', but believe the hype, the movies and TVs are also very deceiving. |
O boy na wao! You nova get job, you don dey pose for madam office dey take picture. If you get the job, I beg do the needful and marry sister Linda oh. In fact, write am for your resume self. You never know, she might like it sha. Dis one wey you loyal so, na only you follow come? You almost use head scattered the table. |
No bi only spiritual googlemap, what about him spiritual space shuttle? Warri no dey carry last. If you believe a word this guy is saying, I have a bridge I want to sell to you. Hunger and recession don hammer the king na him him form style enter church for free foods accommodation and some cash. I blame Buhari for this. |
My guy, take easy on madam oh! The cute one is only a year old and it looks like madam will be dropping junior any day now. Na recession we dey so oh. In any case he is very handson, more greeze to your elbows. |
Afonjas:But, she was not rushed into an ambulance, that is her campaign vehicle, plus sick people especially in her caliber are taken straight to the hospital, but she went to her daughter's house in Manhattan, relaxed and emerged few hours later unaided, smiling and speaking and waving to the press. Which gives credit to his campaign statement that she was overheated plus she was battling pneumonia. |
GenBuhari:Don't hold your breath, because it aren't happening, Uber only leaves a city if there is money to be made in that city. As for exploitation, no one is forced to work for Uber and for God's sake, it is a partime job...it is myopic and short-sighted to think that, you can get rich by driving for uber. The last time I was in Lagos, I used uber when convenient. I got talking with one of my driver, a very young boy, who just finished secondary school waiting to get into the Uni, we talked at length, I was surprise to learn that this young guy makes about N300k/month driving for Uber, now tell me...how many experienced graduate workers with even 10years on the job makes that kind of money? I guess you might summise that, this young guy is being exploited. Breakdown of his earnings: on a worst day, he makes about 10 trips@ average N3k (he easily make 15 trips, especially in the night) and works for 20-25 days a week for a total of N600k to N750k...settles the owner of the car 50%. |
Uber is the proverbial cat with nine lives! They have survived in the US and many western countries despite the fierce attack from the statuesque because of their tenacity and the company is very good at arm twisting. Previously, Newark NJ ban Uber from the Newark International Airport, NJ USA which is a lucrative hop for passengers. In fact Uber drivers were arrested and some posted their horrible experience on YouTube, not long after the local Taxi Union celebrated a new milestone, the signing of a deal in the city that meant a death nail to Uber. Then the State sponsored a bill to ensure the burial will be a foregone conclusion. Then Uber spring into action, sensing the big money to be made...they started paying the fines of any Uber driver that got a ticket, just send them the picture of the ticket and the prove that you have paid it and viola you got your money back! They then brought in some mouth watering deal that the city can just resist and viola! Newark International Airport is a second parking lot for Uber drivers waiting to pick passengers. As for that state law? Well, it has been drastically watered down. Now some in the local taxi union sensing the loosing battle have upgraded the look of their taxi and have signed up with Uber and now carrying GPS and working for Uber...intact, most TLC cab drivers in New York City are Uber drivers as well. Über has perfected this strategy and rolls it out in any city with potentials to make them money. Bottomline, these laws will not make Uber to leave as long as there is money to be made, if anything they will affect the local cab services that does not have the financial might of an international company first, before they start affecting Uber. Secondly, the demography that used Uber in Nigeria are influential after all if one can choose to pay N3,500 for a trip that would have cost just N150, they are not push overs. Lagos, just need money, and Uber will give them a deal that they will not refuse, my fears is...the local cab company which this new law is purported to help...will not be fully represented at the meeting, when that deal is made. |
OP, shey you know say your post title is misleading....in fact, the title portray the very opposite of what you intended to convey... I clicked, wanting to read, to see how possible it was for the Armed Robbers to 'caught up' with the Police and I had many questions...e.g. were the Police poorly armed, were they out numbered, were they ambushed, was their vehicle stuck, did they run out of fuel, etc... but the video and the content indicates that, it was actually the Police that 'caught up' with the Armed Robbers. Putting a 'got' before the 'caught up' would have conveyed a different meaning in that...the "Armed Robbers got caught up in gun battle with the police..."...maybe this is your intent. |
sobmos:Nonesense, prior to this; what laws in the books gives the omoniles the rights to collect a land that had been legally sold back? Prior to this law, you still have the right to take them to court, this law did not give a land buyer more protection, it just legalized the omoniles' trade. If the omoniles do not have regards to laws and courts, this will not suddenly make them to change their heart and stop collecting roofing fees after collecting foundation fees. |
soulfood:Perspective is important here.....being gay or not being gay is not a crime in the US...The Court simply saw this as an attempted double homicide charge. He is even lucky that it was in Georgia, where crime against gays is not yet codified as 'hate crime', if it were in the other states; he would have gotten more time, plus the FBI declined to bring federal hate crime charges against him, so he did pretty well. His recourse would have been to chase them out of his house and lock them out. Even Jesus advocated that, he said if they did not receive our message of the Gospel, we should leave their houses, shake their durst off our feet and that, the Lord will judge them on the last day. When Peter took the laws into his own hands and meted jungle justice to the soldiers who dared to come and arrest Jesus...Jesus rebuked him to put his sword away, that those that live by the sword will died by the sword and despite the fact that the soldiers were in the wrong, Jesus went ahead and remedied the situation by healing him. One wish today's Christians will show a little Christlike-ness. |
soulfood:Pouring hot water on someone while they sleep is not expressing someone's voice against gays or same sex marriage, it is committing a crime and an attempted murder for that matter. Even in the US, no body stops anyone or any group from expressing their voice against gays, we hear it over the news everyday, but the moment you want to hurt another human being, you crossed the line and have to be severely punished. Despite Nigeria banning gay, if such an act is repeated in Nigeria, the culprit will be punished as well, it is the same jungle justice we condemns everyday. The guy deserve what he got! |
anyimontana:I doubt you understand what he was saying, he did not say, he makes millions through Forex sitting in his garden. He is joint pointing out how stupid and porous the parallel Forex market is... and that Buhari should abolish it just like they abolished suisidy on PMS. |
Ladrang:...and you are a first class citizen in Nigeria currently? Let's not deceive ourselves, an average Nigerian who have taken up legal residency in a developed country is far better than the one who did not leave. Yes, there is that occasional home-sick feeling, which is a good thing and you cure that by visiting home periodically. |
Codenister:Don't believe the hype, they are replacing one driver with a high tech expensive computer plus with one engineer and a co-driver (making two) to take notes; that model will not Survive the economy of scale. |
tundexijim:The Police is part of the Federal Executive Government, yes! Buhari did not take anyone to court and I can bet you that, he is/was not aware of what is going on. But, that does not absolve him of any blame. He is the head of the Executive branch of government and can stop the prosecution, take ownership of the poor judgement shown at lower cadre and instruct the inspector general police to call his troupes to order and to respect simple democratic freedoms. |
