But you and I know that people only make requests they know are possible and can be granted.

Do you think any idiot can dare make such request of Southeast and Southsouth?
Well there’s a reason SW is ahead economically of the others in both south & north. Religious tolerance!!!

How far lionshare ?

I thought you said Southwest is the capital of Christianity?

Did I not tell you that your region has been conquered?

Or how dare a Grand Kadi suggest Sharia Law for the whole of Southwest? Imagine the effrontery.

Who dare say that about Southeast? Them never born the idiot that will think of thinking it sef not to talk saying it.

I expect MURIC to go hysterical in re-echoeing this statement while your coward governors will hurriedly prepare bills establishing Sharia law to your State Assemblies.

Sorry Southwest.

We warned you!
Anybody can make any request or call!

So, what informed the SE's thinking that their interest would better be protected by another party?

You think it's the party's manifesto or the persons of the candidates?

Because you and I know that every decision and choice is informed by something, either real or imagined.
Do you know the running mate of Bashir Tofa?

Pls google: Sylvester Ugoh

Can we agree that on the basis of personality of the candidates it’s logical that SE votes for their own?

If my assertion of Abiola false in it's totality, why did Igbos not vote for him in the 1993 election?

And about your implied suggestion of SW being capital of Christianity in Nigeria, I need to let you understand that does not count in any way.

That Ajayi Crowther influenced the building of first Cathedral in Abeokuta is not the issue, the question is, where is Christianity in the West today? Today, Muslims and Christians now take turn to be governors in Lagos, Osun and Oyo. Something you won't find in the East. Is that the capital you talk about?

Turkey is the home country of the Blessed Virgin Mary. But where are they today in Christian discourse?

Algeria is the home country of St Augustine of Hippo. But where is Algeria today in Christian calendar?
To assume that because MKO didn’t win the SE because he hates SE is totally flawed logic. Politics is all about interests, If SE thinks their interest is better protected by another party they’ll vote for who will protect their interests.

Let’s not argue facts! As far as Christianity is concerned in Nigeria SW holds the ace. I think you should be more worried that politician would rather focus on south south for votes during electioneering than south East..you know why?

Your assertion about MKO is false in its totality. Also, the East may have a majority Christian population but everybody knows where Christian religion capital is in Nigeria.

The East is the only region that is homogeneously Christian. The West is considered a conquered territory in terms of religion because there will always be counter to Christian activities.

Look at MURIC.

You don't find such in the East.

That's why that Abiola statement was considered a direct attack on the East.
You’ve not answered my question....it’s a yes or no! Pls

Since Independence, only one Yoruba man has succeeded in ruling Nigeria, and has done that twice, and that's Olusegun Obasanjo. First as a military Head of State between 1976 and 1979 and secondly as a democratically elected president between 1999 and 2007. But guess what, Obasanjo is ironically the only Yoruba leader who is not an Igbo hater. In fact, during his Presidency he worked with a lot of Igbo brains which helped his presidency succeed; from Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to Charles Soludo to Oby Ezekwesili, et al.

Now let's mirror other Yoruba leaders who have even been more popular but thought the Igbo race were for the crushing how their dreams of ruling Nigeria turned.

OBAFEMI AWOLOWO

One of the Nationalists and champions of independence, Awolowo is famed for being the originator of ethnic politics in Nigeria when he prevented Nnamdi Azikiwe whose party, the NCNC, won majority at the Western House of Assembly, from becoming premier of Western Region purely on tribal and primordial sentiments.

Again during the Nigeria-Biafra civil war, Awolowo, who was Minister of Finance then, made hunger a weapon of war against the East which led to the malnourishment and death of over 1million Igbo children. And at the end of the war, it was Awolowo who sat over the policy that every Igbo be give 20 pounds irrespective of what he had in the bank.

There you have it. Awolowo thought he could ride to the presidency on the back of Igbo hatred and subservience to northern oligarchy but it all ended a pipe dream with some conspiracy theorists claiming he drank rat poison and died a shameful death.

MKO ABIOLA

Not much is in the press of Abiola's anti-Igbo sentiments but it has been claimed that Abiola once threatened to sink a ship freighting Bible into Nigeria; a direct attack at the East which is predominantly Christian.

His anti-Igbo sentiments may have been reason why Bashir Torfa seemed to have garnered more votes in the East than Abiola did.

Yes. Abiola "won" but never became president. And so was the end of the dream of another Yoruba Igbo hater.

Now, as 2023 draws near, another Yoruba leader, Tinubu, is positioning to take his chances at the country's top post, riding on the back of Igbo hatred and some of kinsmen and footsoldiers are cheering him on.

One of the greatest lessons of history is that it teaches us that men do not learn anything from history.

And so like Awolowo like MKO Abiola and so would be Ahmed Bola Tinubu since he has chosen to toe the line of infamy.

Penguin is a bird of reason!
Let’s assume you’re right about Awolowo although I know you’re not. About MKO, I have a question for you; do you think the East is more pro-christian than the west??

Any protest will not be entertain. Anyone that want to make a move should be arrested.
They cannot close it right, yet it was opened for free several times during sanwoolu campaign. Besides have you checked the contract details, LASG owns the toll-gate fully and needs not tax it’s people again. It’s tantamount to double taxation.

The primary source for this article is NIPC and everything I’ve posted is from NIPC even posted links to the actual report. Read the report

I’m not sure what your end game is but mine from the onset is to show that NIPC report is not accurate because the said FDI is only an investment announcement and not actual investment.
plaindealer:
This is not about what the OP posted, this is about your own personal comment stating that Kogi's investment came from pipeline when in fact that same government agency clearly stated that Kogi received $1 billion mining investment from the UK.

OP's article said Kogi topped Lagos with $1 billion investment and the same government agency said Kogi received $1 billion investment so, for you to conclude that the money came from pipeline, you have to add the pipeline money to the $1 billion mining investment and you and I know your answer won't be $1 billion. Your claim was flawed regardless of how you cut and dice it.

Btw, the $1 billion wasn't an announcement, it was money on the ground, obtained means you took and have the money, it's in your hands.
Politics › Re: Kogi Overtakes Lagos In Investment Flow In Q3 2020 by lionshare: 6:41pm On Dec 21, 2020
plaindealer:
Regardless of where it came from, you posted it on NL as fact to prove your point and it doesn't even change the fact that you misread and misinterpreted the chart that you posted to prove your point.

You referenced pipeline as the source of the $1 billion investment in Kogi, but the pipeline money you stated plus the $1 billion mining investment by Torridon investment from the chart that you posted means the the FDI in Kogi should be more than $1 billion.

The source of the chart doesn't mean you shouldn't read and understand what you are posting.
Do you realize that what I posted is actually the break down of the article @OP posted? You are assuming by inferring what is and what is not.

Politics › Re: Kogi Overtakes Lagos In Investment Flow In Q3 2020 by lionshare: 6:04pm On Dec 21, 2020
It’s not my chart, if you had done a little research as you had initially suggested perhaps you would have noticed the source of the chart.
plaindealer:
The investment from China as depicted in your chart listed 3 states including KJogi, not just Jogi.

The pipeline is cuts across many state and they did not state categorically Kogi state's share of the pipeline money.

The $1 billion investment by Torridon investments is for Iron Ore mining in Kogi state, strictly right there in Kogi state.

The report stated that Kogi state scored $1 billion direct investment so if you are inferring that it's pipeline money, you have to add the pipeline and the $1 billion Torridon investment money and according to basic arithmetic, I'd expect more than $1 billion FDI for Kogi instead of $1 billion.

You numbers doesn't add up, you obviously misread and misinterpreted your own chart and report.
Politics › Re: Kogi Overtakes Lagos In Investment Flow In Q3 2020 by lionshare: 5:26pm On Dec 21, 2020
NIPC listed Bank of China & Sinosure as investors and Sector is Transportation. The link you shared seems mining-related? Explain
plaindealer:
Question.

The so called pipeline you are talking about cuts across many states so how come the other states did not record $1 billion investment.?

Just do a little bit of research, the info is not hard to find, the $1 billion Jogi investment came from European Iron Ore investors, Torridon Investments.

This is where the $1 billion came from, not from pipeline.
Politics › Re: Kogi Overtakes Lagos In Investment Flow In Q3 2020 by lionshare: 2:51pm On Dec 21, 2020
This report is wrong on many levels. It assumes investment announcements to be the same as actual investments. Kogi state is topping the chart because of a Proposed $2.6bn Ajaokuta-Kano Pipeline.
