uuzba:What is Dubai itself if not the worlds greatest flaunting of wealth by the Arabs? Trying to justify a man’s murder in Dubai on the grounds that he showed off his wealth is like trying to justify the murder of a man for daring to gamble in lasVegas. |
My gods, see idiots justifying the Nigerian mans murder by dirty Arabic rag heads!!! If this is the mentality of new generation of Nigerians, I pray to god that those in power presently remain in power as long as possible. ![]() |
Double standards? Dubai Police murder Nigerian in jail, it is the Nigerians fault. Police kills Nigerian in Nigeria, it is the Zoo’s police fault. ![]() |
A horrible but effective way of solving the problem is to do what they would do in the West which is confiscate and destroy the motor bikes of those breaking the relevant laws. I understand that this is already part of the mandate in Lagos (i.e confiscated bikes may be destroyed) but knowing Nigerians and their sympathetic nature official wouldn’t be destroying motorbikes confiscated, they would be handing them back with warnings. However to solve the problem officials in Lagos really need to go through with destroying confiscated bikes as mandated. Kindness can be more complicated than we like to believe. For instance, the kind short-term act you do by releasing a confiscated bike to its poor owner so that he can feed his family may in the tong term kill someone who is also a breadwinner for another family. The released bike add to the congestion that ruins the lives of many not only by the frustration it helps to cause but by adding to the pollution which kills scores of individuals with respiratory problems yearly. |
When I opened the wardrobe this morning a Fulani fell out. Gave me such a fright, I can't tell you just how. The murderous beggers are everywhere |
Last week, my brother, working downstairs late into the night, heard his six years old daughter scream in the upstairs bedroom. They live in Victoria London. Anyway, he rushed upstairs. He found his daughter trembling on the bed unable to speak, she was that terrified. His daughter kept indicating, with trembling pointing finger, that something was under the bed. At once he crouched so that he could look under the bed. Lo and behold, what did he see? Why, he saw a Fulani man with spear clutching a calf!!!! |

Op you made same mistake as others. You've began from the standpoint of view that through intellectual reasoning it will become clear that any form of war will be disastrous. Your mistake, like that of others warning of the consequences of war, is in not understanding that the calamity you fear is precisely what those pushing for this conflict want. Trying to indirectly warn those angling for war about the cost of war through discussions with other like minded individuals like you, is like trying to talk some boy you pegged for an arsonist out of setting fire to a block of flats not knowing that the boy is in the employ of property insurance scammers. |
Racoon:It will be difficult without a police force capable of fulfilling its purpose, limited number of prisons and totally open borders. |

EricBraven:Others will dance for them, unfortunately. Poor people don’t start wars, poor people complain then fight in wars organised by wealthier individuals, organisations and forign Nations for themselves, exploiting those poor people’s complaints. In many instances the poor don’t even complain, preferring or obliged by circumstances to concentrate on the work at hand in order to feed themselves, families or communities. The wealthier individuals, organisations and foreign Nations comes along and point out to these poor their supposed suffering in comparison to the better available to them if they would but rise up. Poor people dont have the means to fight wars. The cost of a single Ak would provide the means to start good business for many a poor individual brainwashed by the better off to pick up that Ak not to mention the additional cost of ammunition, fatigue, food maintenance etc. |
Nigeria's extreme internal security issues have an external dimension, I'm convinced of it. Are there links between ESN and Ambazonia agitation in Cameroon for instance? Our weak almost none functioning police service situation does not help and as a matter of priority, in the order of combating terrorism, needs revitalising. Much of Nigeria's insecurity issues regardless of influence would me mitigated by a working police force. Imagine the good a police force capable of carrying out both internal and external investigations as part of their remit, would do for Nigeria. |

But come-o Is this what some of you that call yourselves human beings expect? And if she had said something like this, you’d all be happy and proud that your president has employed a competent special advisor? And you’d be proud to have her representing Nigeria abroad and attending international meets in which representatives of other nations give her a wide-berth for incendiary pronouncements equivalent to promoting genocide? And yet individuals like you believe that you know how best a country should be run, these are the mindset you'd take when creating your new countries of Oduduwa and Biafra? |
Myself2:So because the team has Ghanaian supporters we must all abandon our nationalistic aims and become happy clappy fools? Even the English that invented football and whose teams have world wide support are nationalistic when Liverpool, Man United or Rangers play in Europe cup competitions. And, yes, when English, French or Italian teams play in Europe competitions they set out with aim of doing their nations proud and their respective indigenous fans feel similarly. They don’t give a Bleep for African supporters some of whom have been known to even kill themselves. Sports are one of the major tools nations use in fomenting sense of nationhood and exceptionalsiam. Sports in many ways represent a safe way for nations to express the need in man for war. |
Social Media legislation required. Not just Nigeria, the world needs a symposium on Social Media. Majority of people in the world are stupid. Internet (Social Media) unbound is like placing hair-trigger automatic rifle in the hands of mental patients in asylum and releasing them on the world. |

bonechamberlain:Fix up the East then so that it is an example to all of Nigeria about the excellence of Biafra. Nothing stops the East from showing the world in a decade what Biafra is all about. No excuses, please, that the rest of Nigeria stops the East from progressing for who stopped Kanu from creating his armed Security outfit? Indeed, a fixed up East -- with tap burn water, full electricity, youth employment, full literacy, low infant mortality, adequate housing for the poor, excellent hospitals, well paid doctors, well paid magistrate, low crime rate, well paid teachers, well equipped schools, good roads, paved separate sidewalks, cleared shanty towns, covered gutters, underground cables for internet and phone, well paid functioning state civil service, factories, docs, airlines, good mass transportation system etc-- will effectively be a ready made Biafra fit to be on its own and would be so powerful Nigeria wouldn't be able to prevent her going if she wanted. The bonus would be that by fixing the East to the above standard and more, you may not even want to leave Nigeria anymore since the reason for wanting to leave now no longer would exist (except if the reason for wanting Biafra isn't about the good of the people but for the political aspirations of the few). The choice would be there, however. |
bonechamberlain:How is breaking up Nigeria a solution when it is the breaking down of things that is the problem? In my experience some type of incapable persons offer up grand tasks and grand plans as a diffence for being unable to accomplish basic things. They don't want to build the small house because they plan to build the mansion but, oh, they don't have money and the help to build the mansion therefore they will not bother. And for other types of incapable persons destroying is their method, destroying is easy, creating, building, maintaining and improving is difficult. The worst type of incapable persons are those that will accomplish everything that relies on "tomorrow". Everything will be splendid in tomorrow's Biafra. Nigeria is already there - fix her. Stop make grand future plans of a new country. |

olasubomi2354:Part of Nigeria’s problem is caused by the unfortunate existence of European history of revolution introduced in books at schools. Ever since, Nigerians seem unable to think of progress outside of revolution. All our political discuss and concept of development is underpinned by gradients of revolution, in one form or another. Misunderstood concepts of revolution has become part of youth DNA so that they no longer even realise that it is what causes their stupidity in terms of understanding developmental requirements. This is what blinds Nigerians to the concept of consolidating, collaborating, saving, embracing, helping, building on gains, recognising gains, growing, etc and instead make them want to destroy, kill, pull down, fight, condemn. separate, cuss, suspect an so on |
Odewaleadesoye:leaders dont have us in mind ? but the so-called "people" endorsed the Delta rebel groups because the Delta groups were supposedly fighting against the so called leaders. The Delta rebel groups pioneered industrial style kidnappings. Similarly the so-called “people” endorsed the looting and killing that followed the lekki protests and hailed those that beheaded police in the east because the so-called people believed that the looters and killers were striking a blow against the leaders. Perhaps if Nigerians crowed less about leaders ‘doing them bad’ and how they are going to ‘do the leaders back’, Nigerians would become more focused on constructive ways of developing the country for the betterment of all. |

Mide3367:Thanks for the advice but the vlog isnt mine. It’s just that so many Nigerian vloggers aren’t getting hits and this shouldn’t be the case when there are so many Nigerians online. I personally visit as many Nigeria youtube vlogg as I can, I hit the likes and subscription buttons since doing this will help them earn money. |
Kettlecorn:You're largely supporting my point not arguing against it. However, disregard your point, "most crimes go unreported in Nigeria" since however intuitive this may seem, you have no evidence that crime in Nigeria is underreported, just hearsay. Besides this is a familiar refrain in all nations. It would be just as plausible to suggest that crime is well-reported but police are unresponsive. The premise of my argument is that poor policing, judiciary and limited prison capacity plays a huge role in the level of criminality Nigeria is experiencing. |
laiperi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6U-6KhmMJg Meanwhile Nigerian youths can click and subscribe to youthful Nigerian vloggers like this guy to support them. With a population of 200 million and reputedly 113 million active internet users in 2019, Nigerian vloggers shouldn’t be struggling this much. |
