juman:If you are successful I doubt you'd be condemning the nation. Perhaps you suffer from similar ignorance and arrogance typical of individuals from other African nations such as the Ghanaians that blamed Nigeria for their politicians fighting in their parliament. In other words, perhaps you are the failed one and instead of accepting your personal failures you chose to blame the Nation. White women are a moany lot and long before folks started using the term Karen I used the acronym WWW in description of them, Whining White Women. Besides of this, the man failed his wife, leave Nigeria out of it. |
Cheerful Givers Association is just the type of thing that would come out of Nigeria but unfortunately Nigerians don’t seem to value their superior ways and instead tend to let the ways of other African nations influence them. And, indeed, I’ve only a moment ago learned from an article on BBC Africa that the Stingy Men Association has its origin in Uganda. A more integrated Africa is going to be bad for Nigeria and, as a consequence, the black world will be the poorer for it |
LTGEN:In this age of smart phones, Bluetooth, remote control, miniaturisation and all sorts of automation, you’d think majority of rifles would by now be able to use attachments such as “Vid-periscope” so that in the event of situations like the Nigerian soldiers found themselves, on their stomachs under cover, they could leave their tripod mounted rifle over the top and still be able to fire them while viewing what they were shooting at on their mobile phones. |
lonlytroy:Fortunately, giant of Africa people full Yoyutube showing different images of Nigeria to the world: these vloggers have light, fridges, sofas, dining tables, balconies, cars; these vloggers do cooking programs, fashion and beauty; great weddings, have splendid parties, they do businesses, real-estate, travels and so on. Anyone that watches this American and goes away thinking, ‘oh that Nigeria is hell-hole’, is someone unable to draw from experience in order to inform their present. Less politely put, they would either be blinded by hatred for Nigerians or brain damaged. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry_DnhnCSeI How Vietnam is revolutionising solar power Vietnam’s cumulative solar installation will reach 5.5 GW this year, accounting for 44 percent of Southeast Asia’s total capacity GBO Correspondent In the last decade, Vietnam has witnessed a rapid growth in its energy industry on the back of rising demand for electricity. According to the Vietnam National Load Dispatch Centre data, the average daily electricity consumption of electricity in the country was 615 million kWh per day in the first few months of 2020, an increase by 7.5 percent compared to 2019. The energy demand in Vietnam is also expected to increase by 10 percent annually by the end of 2020 and by 8 percent annually between 2021 and 2030. For that reason, Vietnam has adopted renewables as a source of its energy. Renewables offer the country the prospect of a less expensive, cleaner, and more secure energy pathway. Vietnam is aiming to boost its power output produced from renewable sources to nearly 23 percent by 2030, according to Andreas Cremer, director of energy and infrastructure for Europe, Middle East and Asia at German investment firm DEG. He pointed out that 10.7 percent of the energy mix will be sourced from renewables and 12.4 percent will be generated from hydro. In this context, Vietnam has invested heavily on solar. In fact, wind and solar power sectors are anticipated to reach a capacity of 19.9 GW by 2030 in the country. Solar will play an important role in helping Vietnam achieve its ambitious targets of producing 23 percent of its energy mix from renewables. It was reported that Vietnam aims to have a solar power capacity of 0.5 percent of national output by 2020, 3.3 percent by 2030 and 20 percent by 2050. Over the years, Vietnam has also undertaken a significant number of solar projects, most notably, The Dau Tieng Solar Power Complex, which is Southeast Asia’s largest solar project. https://www.globalbusinessoutlook.com/how-vietnam-is-revolutionising-solar-power/ |

IbnBattuta1960:It's a wonderful world. |
In my opinion, one of the major inadequacies in Nigeria's policing industry, and whose consequences are these drastic crime levels, is inadequate investigative competence. When Nigeria police industry acquires investigative components, Nigeria’s future will be more assured. Right now criminals and saboteurs of Nigerians and their state apparatus need only worry about hitting their intended mark . In nations with more accomplished policing industry, hitting the target is only half of the criminals’ worries. The other half is about how to avoid being tracked down and arrested. If Nigeria police industry acquire investigative abilities, their current inability to prevent situations arising would not be the total disasters they always are right now. With investigative competences, Nigeria police will always have a second chance to make amends. To use a foot-balling cliché, in Western Nations, serious crime is a game of two halves. Fist half criminals are ahead, police catch up in the second half and end up wining. In Nigeria, serious crime is often a game of first half only. Once criminals’ successfully accomplish their first half goals, that's it game over.... |
1Sharon:My understanding is that some left Nigeria for Gabon so long ago that those should really be Gabonese of Nigerian origin but not yet "Natives". Those Igbo’s that left Nigeria recently for Gabon, South Africa and elsewhere are Nigerians. I was born in the Uk but I consider myself Nigerian and my brothers Children born in the Uk (second generation) we consider British people of Nigerian origin. After several hundred years, a people ought to possibly be considered full natives. For instance, present English peoples’ ancestors came from France, Germany, and Norway etc. They are now native Englishmen after establsihin linage in England after a tosusand years. Fulani’s with linage in Nigeria are possibly Natives Nigerians since they have been in Nigeria for over two hundred years, but I’m not sure |
1Sharon:Those with linage in Nigeria have become Nigerians. Those from other Nations coming into Nigeria are not Nigerians. Issues like these are why Nigeria requires ID cards, births and deaths certificates and adequate immigration and border controls. This is also why I always argue Nigeria needs to take Nationhood seriously. Right now Nigeria is functioning like a temporary or permanent settlement camp for all of Africa. A true Nation hood requires that an Igbo of Gabon, a Yoruba of Benin republic are not Nigerians. A Yoruba man in Lagos should not be showing more loyalty to someone from Ivory Coast over his fellow Igbo Nigerian in Lagos. Similarly an Hausa man should not be more loyal to someone from Niger republic than someone from Nigeria like him. We are either Nigerians supporting and standing up for one another or we not yet serious about Nationhood. |

A different approach is required. And if believing this makes me a fool then so be it. |
Truckload Of Yoruba People Intercepted In Bauchi State Truckload Of Igbo People Intercepted In Oyo State Doesn’t read right, does it? I’m uncomfortable with this whole Fulani demonisation trend right now in Nigeria. Thing is, when we argue that Fulani’s deserve these “special approach” and forward first hand experiences and broader examples that support why, let us remember that first hand experiences and broader examples can be brought to support the demonisation of any group of people for which “special approach” has been adopted. This is why pogroms begin and we as humans know; yet, later, people/history question how this or that society came to permit such episodes. |

Why the Black world has taken it upon itself to demonize Nigeria is beyond me save to suggest that the reason lies in black people’s stupidity. ![]() "according to available data" at least four out of 10 men are not the biological fathers of their children. |
Staggering statistics Meanwhile in Nigeria, "according to available data"Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/01/nigeria-ranks-2nd-highest-in-paternity-fraud-in-the-world/ It saddens and frightens me that some readers believe this article. One part of the sad part is that the types of individuals that read these sorts of articles and believe them are the types that believe most Nigeria should break up. Such individual don’t question deeply or research, they just accept what is told them. People, please, the article is entirely made up, no research anywhere in the world made such claims. All line of goggle search leads to blogs, online news papers and articles made up by Africans. However, I may be wrong, so please help my education by providing link to the original research and I would like to see the Nation ranked number one ahead of Nigeria. |
Can’t opine why Nigeria dentist extract tooth as a norm since I didn’t know this and don’t believe that your observation was informed by quantitative research but I do believe Tooth extraction is in any case better eventually for the patient. Fillings costs the patient more in the long run and almost always leads to tooth extraction. |
If Nigeria was a nation under economic attack by another Nation inhabited by unimaginative retrogrades that stand to gain from all of Nigeria’s failure, targeting Nigeria's wealthy might be something they would do. Nigeria joins a free trade agreement and if Nigeria has brilliant people as well as loads of wealthy people; why, other nations stand to gain from Nigeria’s wealthy and brilliant minions if Nigeria is made unsafe for them. It is easy to target Nigerians and do harm to Nigerians because Nigeria has open borders, does not have police with investigative abilities, and Nigerians are fund of blaming one another when attacked. Should the killing of the wealthy in Nigeria become a trend, Nigerians would blame it on poor Nigerians, accusing them of having developed envy for the wealthy? Some purporting to be Nigerians will bombard social media with arguments such as Nigerians are reacting to wealth inequalities. And, as is customary, Nigerians would be guided away from other more probable causes. Anyway, just thinking aloud as Novelists might ... |
ModestGal:I'm telling you the absolute truth, hon. I detest lies and liars, which is why I chose Litmus. I have these distant relatives, as I have said, that we brought over to the UK and they are as poor as the average poor Nigerian. And they have not liked the Uk. They found the life dull and boring, they hated the uk. One had the opportunity to marry someone in the UK for papers and she refused. She turned down the offer flatly in spite of being begged. |

But, of course, if you’re used to short-term thinking, which causes you to shout, ‘shithole, brake up this nation" when a building collapses leading to deaths, then you’re not going to imagine what this helicopter will look like in five years with continuous work on it. Instead, you’ll insist that blacks cannot manufacture helicopters, this is rubbish, let’s invite the whites to help us manufacture or lets buy from them. |
If it wasn’t for us your mouth would been smelling like dead ratsIgnorance. For one thing, primordial Africans, especially Nigerians, were known for their perfect teeth and fresh breaths. Ancestral Nigerians used chewing sticks and charcoal that left their teeth brilliant white and breaths fresh. In addition, they ate healthily. Conversely Europeans suffered from poor mouth hygiene especial after discovering sugar from the new world and later chocolate, tobacco and coffee beans. Even whites today recognize that Africans generally posses better and healthier teeth and gum than whites. Toothpastes are recent, relatively, and do nothing especial significant for Africa in comparisons to whites themselves. Bet some of you didn’t know that something called "Teeth" is listed as an ailment in 18th century Britain and was one of the top ten causes of death along with something called “Cloud in the Lungs” (Tuberculosis).I know some of you are going to think that the above is beside the point but I don’t beg to differ since if you cannot be truthful or accurate about the simple basics then you’re likely wrong about everything else. |
