In order to uplift millions of Nigerians in OP's situation Nigeria requires an adequate Loaning/Credit industry. In the West, millions survive well only due to good credit score that enable them access borrowing. Op could have realised his Uber business dreams on borrowing from the banks of loans companies if Nigeria had the relevant sector in a robust form . |
Tycyborg:At a certain period, circa 2005 - 2015 or thereabouts, too many Nigerians studied in Ghana, especially from the south. I write from experience (some of my brothers children were sent there) the poor victims of this schooling seem to reason stupidly. Nigeria needs to invest heavily in local education so that the poorest arnt forced to send their wards to school in different African nations where they may become indoctrinated or pick up unsatisfactory reasoning ways. |
AK481:In a Nation where evidence seeking is an obstacle to the rewards of a good fable telling, this your, "Are they leaving igbos back there ?" will soon become, "they left Igbos back there!" |
Matrix137:You'll also need to learn Neighbourhood Etiquette, civilised Americans no dey waste time wasting anyone wey find themselves in the wrong neighbourhood. |
staga:If a civilised American homo in the jail doesn't first straighten him out face down on the cell floor. ![]() |
Not the sodium blend as it turned out... |
Let ebonyi state prove that modest infrastructure and state income is no excuse for letting the people dwell in squalor. The other state governments should no longer be able to excuse the deplorable conditions of their cities and towns, siting any form of "Nigeria Factor". |
Half go be West Africans not just Nigerians - even some Sudanese go dey. After, these same ones go come post on Nairaland saying Nigeria should learn from Ivory Coast or some place else . |
This brought tears to my eyes (silly I know) but I'm so proud of Nigerians right now. It's the complete tidiness that got me, not half tidy like Abuja or some estate that is nearly great but something missing there. Even Eko Atlantic, great as the infrastructure and the promise, already cement in some areas are looking mouldy, and signs of erosion eating away some obscure sidewalk. I didn't think I'd live to see a place in Nigeria where concern and interest in the nation and the people by the relevant authority would lead to an effort to provide the environment the people wanted and could be proud of. Only obvious economic inability prevented it from being perfect within its level. |
Orfankwagh:If you're older than 9-yo such a line of thought should make you sit back, scratch your head, then laugh in sudden realisation at just how ridiculous, arrogant and delusional Africans can be. And a little later, it shouldn't cross your mind to actuality declare the thought on any public platform except in sarcasm. Yet you weren't being sarcastic as your latter political sermons indicated; so, just how old are you? |
Problem with buying pre-owned cars with great reliability reputation, e.g Hondas, Toyota etc is the fact that owners are reluctant to part with them until...... ![]() |
Plant more trees in the cities, administrators refuse. Studies indicate Trees and brushes may humanise fractured spirits in the urban Nigeria settings or failing in this may compensate in providing the primates frames for climbing and bows to cling on by foot. |
Why Nigeria women are abandoning thire natural slender elegance for the thick ghetto booty look I can't pretend to not know. This, at foundation, is caused by the rise of the lower strata of society that has been silently taking place due to invincible relative progress all nations undergo because of the march of time. This sort of progress of nations owes nothing to government efforts. For instance, the mobile phone in the hand of the remotest man in the remotest village is a circumstance of Eventuality due to the proliferation of mobile phones in the world. It is how, once, primary education, radio and tv ownership in Nigeria was middle class but today a radio, tv, car and PlayStation household may consider themselves poor as media enable them to view what the average Western world households owns. Progress is unnoticed , therefore invisible. This and facilitation by social media and America dominance of youth culture. |
All I know is that if Dangote's refinery is anyway reliant on Indians, Nigerians should forget it. Beside the fact that thire technical know-how is subpar and overhyped, Indians believe in Oyigbos negetive plans for Africa more than Oyigbo themselves. They endorse the worst aspect of Oyigbo pseudo racial views and in return Oyigbo empower them wherever and whenever possible at the expense of blacks and Africa wherever relevant. Nigeria need to work with the Chinese or directly with Oyigbo. |
Fineman2:You're referring to cities largely of the past, Nigeria is a new nation without established infrastructure, we should dream of next generation cities. Next generation cities needn't be as expensive as these old Western cities you listed but they can look belter, more futuristic, sophisticated and liveable. |
Circumventing building regulations meant to prevent events like this is penny-wise-pound foolish. Hopefully no lives were lost in addition to money wasted due to this collapse. |
poseidon12:Some Nigerians wrote stuff like this from Sudan. |
iHateFraudsters:Why is studying in Sudan worst than same in Ghana? |
Image123:Those to whom you refer are probably scratching their heads while thinking, "but Call of Duty sweet o" ![]() |
I would confidently bet that loads of Nigerians in Sudan used to post horrible stuff about Nigeria on social media, boasting of the better they found in Sudan, just as many Nigerians must have done from Ukraine. Now they want Nigeria to come fly them home. I would also confidently bet that loads of Nigerians in South Africa, Ghana and Russia nuclear weapons threatened UK are at the forefront of those throwing insults at all things Nigeria for not yet arranging rescue flights for Nigerians stranded in Sudan. |
Zonefree:We also produce millions of people that call piggy banks JuJu. Such people are majority of voters, they are the ones thar cry out corruption and point fingers at politicians. People that also point fingers at and kill owners of piggy banks, labeling them witch. How can anyone who does not believe piggy banks are JuJu trust the views of such masses? I do not trust white people's assesment of Nigerians nor can I trust the views of the Nigeria masses. They aren't sophisticated enough to vote objectively nor sophisticated enough to know if politicians are really as corrupt as they believe or if something else is going on.... |
