Education › Re: Stop Sending Your Children For Holiday Lessons by livebullet(m): 7:01am On Aug 22, 2023 |
Oduok: Sending kids to holiday lessons makes no sense.
Most of you will make your kids go to school till they become useless. You took them to school at age 3 and abandon them there. During long vacation you still send them to school. To do what?
Can't you spend time to bond with your kids? What exactly are they going to achieve in school during vacation? Vacation lesson only favour school owners, not you. Allow kids rest for God's sake.
If you should engage kids during long vacation then teach them skills. Enrol your kids in centres that they can learn practical computer usage, coding, programming, painting and decoration, catering, musical instruments. Let them learn martial art, how to shot guns, how to wrestle. Teach them something beyond pure academics.
If a school should organize long vacation class then it should gear towards extra curricula activities - debate, modelling, music concert, science fair, mini project. How would you call kids back to school during holiday to learn Math, English, Chemistry, Social studies, accounting, by same teachers that taught them during school period. What is the difference? If these teachers knew what to teach why didn't they do it during normal school session.
Education is beyond memorizing facts. Give your kids opportunity to develop and be better prepare for life. Private schools are like Pentecostal churches. They messed up Education same way those ones messed up Christianity. The govt too didn't help by not maintaining standard in Public schools |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Many Christians Find It Difficult To Be Holy by livebullet(m): 6:37pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
cutecommend: One major reason why many christians find it difficult to be holy is because they have soft spot for sin or worldliness.
But the major reason why many christians are not holy is because they do not have passion or hunger or thirst for holiness. Imagine how you have passion for football or passion for betting or passion for your career. Imagine the addictions you have to certain things..Now imagine having passion and hunger to be holy.
I tell you, if you spend 2 months of desperation, praying hard and trying to be holy, God will see that you are truly interested in being holy, and He will give you grace and ease to live a holy life. Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled".
God gives holiness grace to those who truly needed it! When last did you hear your pastor preach holiness? The only thing we hear is "possession your earthly possession". Money , money money. Money is the new idolatory. It ranks above God in many churches |

BrighterThanDay: Why is it that even when it is so clear from all indications that your daughter is married to an irresponsible man who is toxic. Nigerian parents will still say endure and stay there.
A lot of married young ladies are down with depression and even high BP because of marital stress. But they have to remain there. It's just so sad What of when a man is married to a verbally abusive woman...why is every post against the man in marriage. What about men who are suffering. I know a man who makes sacrifices to provides for his family(note the wife doesn't even earn a Kobo) yet gets insulted at every slight opportunity. Una no dey see those ones. |

Romance › Re: Are Nigerian Women Really Against Polygamy? by livebullet(m): 2:18am On Aug 07, 2023 |
Amarisco: This is the bottom line.
If you know polygamy is your way, then be real from the jump so the woman isn’t being tricked into falsehood.
And money or not, sleeping around like a dog isn’t the same as having multiple wedded wives*.
It's not a bottom line.... sometimes men don't want it...it's the Eve factor that worries our women that make some men look outside at times. Especially women in this era...they don't want to give you your place as the leader of the family ...only when its time to make financial expenses. Men love to be respected. So the moment he gets a small chick outside who obeys him....boom!!!

eglobalcafe: Good evening guys, please I need some advice, my wife had pcos then that she couldn't get pregnant and now it's almost our 4th year in the marriage, after doing 2 ivf I told myself not to do it again because the money was not there and adoption is not my thing. So I was worried because am not the kind of man that like polygamy.
Now after we stop the ivf my wife started taking supliments and now she's pregnant after 7 months of taking the supliment and now because of my wife condition I decided to have a side chic who I can marry for the sake of children because it's not easy after 6 years between me and my wife and we are 4 years in marriage, so now as am talking to you my wife and my girl friend are both pregnant same month and from the scan results my wife might likely give birth to twins because two sack was found in her.
AND now I love both of them so much and I don't know what to do now. My girl friend is two weeks pregnant. Am not a bad person but I feel bad hurting my wife but the condition is not easy for both of us that is why I went out for another woman. Does it make any sense to abort my girlfriend pregnancy. Because even if I want to keep both of them it won't be easy for me to have two women pregnant for me at the same time. I wish it's different time I would have allow my girlfriend keep the pregnancy and my girlfriend really loves me ans she said she needs the pregnancy too.
Atleast am doing financially okay because I can feed both if them but how do I handle this kind of situation.
I have been having sleepless night because my wife can nit give me children at that time and now the blessings are here please advise me.
It's won't be easy to keep two women and it's not my thing but what do I know. Guys help me no insult please, if you ask me why can't I be patient the I will say am my mum is old and am the one taking care of my mum. And am 35, years now but if I don't what I did when I grow old who will take care if me? This are the quei asked myself daily before going ahead to impregnated my girl friend. Please advise me
Should my girlfriend abort the pregnancy? ABORTION IS MURDER! Blood will be on your hands. how will you defend your case before the throne of God? |

Promicah: I know many don't believe in religion. Here is my true story. It happened on Saturday.
This is my condition. I only had 1,450 naira in my account before they pay us on month end. No means anywhere. I then remembered the story of the widow in the Bible. How she prepared her last meal for the prophet Elijah.
I withdrew the money and gave it to a widow in my area I know is seriously suffering. When I gave her, she felt like crying that she really needed to pay one woman in a nearby kiosk she has been owing for a while now.
I gave her and left. I went inside with nothing to eat. I just trusted God.
I didn't receive anything that night and soaked Garri and slept.
But the joy on the face of that woman gave me so much satisfaction.
I know God will prove himself. I believe giving provokes return. This makes more sense than enriching Mr Pastor. |
