Interesting. So how do you go about giving thanks and praises? What doctrine describes the God you believe it? Where is this God located? Does he speak to you? I need more information if you don't mind. |
MsDarkSkin:Sorry about the assumption. So can you expound on the above? This, "proudly believe in God" thing. |
MsDarkSkin:The irony of this as it relates to Christian evangelism has me feeling sorry for you, after all it was this same "Monkey see Monkey do" that made you a Christian. |
Doesn't "Owu" mean "poverty" in Igbo? |
Was FUT Minna's performance in this a fluke? Or is it generally a pretty good school at this type of stuff? Anyone knowledgeable who can provide some insight?
FUT Minna from the late 80s was the best equipped Federal university (I don't know the present ranking); of course that's to be expected as that was the period Babangida became the "President". |
mazaje:*Christian Mode* He fell from the 6th Heaven. There are actually 7 Heavens (hence the reference to 7th Heaven when you are in a state of ecstasy). The Heaven you belong to depends on your ranking as an angel. Lucifer was on the highest ranking hence he belonged in 6th Heaven. No angel could yet make it to 7th Heaven. *Off Christian Mode* How did I do? |
rabzy:OK. Now you say Angels have "Free Will". I have read other Christians saying otherwise. Another one of you will come along with another interpretation. This of course is expected - it's like the interpretation of Nostrademus' Coltrane - as varied as the person reading it. |
duduspace:You mean, like in the movie "The Killer Inside Me"? ![]() |
You see what some people don't seem to get (even after witnessing such events) is the potential for any act of violence to escalate. Just yesterday I watched 2 cases of murder which started with a "simple" slap. First case: woman slapped her husband (who's deaf by the way). He retaliated and then things escalated. He shot her to death. Second case: woman slapped her boyfriend. He did not retaliate but tried to throw her out of his house. She stabbed him multiple times. He later died at the hospital 2 days later. They both got more than they bargained for. |
I personally think non-African women ( Jamaicans, Caribbean, african-american) are more likely to assault men. I'm not stereotyping but because of their ' I don't give a shet' attitude, they wouldn't hesitate to dish out slaps,
They are Africans. In any case, they are more likely to assault men because of the law enforcement in their land which overly protects women. These are the same women who whine over perceived "double-standards". They know you are at a disadvantage if you retaliate. You will end up in jail. |
Konnektions146:You have to admit that no country exports criminals like Nigeria. But I can't blame the criminals; I blame the events that led to the damage of our values and exportation of damaged humans. Desperadoes with an inverted value system. The truth is, the Nigerians with the best values are usually denied travel because they can't afford to pay the kind of bribes paid at some embassies or indulge in counterfeit documents. Only desperadoes can indulge in all that filth. You think a man who engaged in 4.1.9 or armed robbery to raise money and then travels, will then become a good citizen where ever he moves to? |
A man of strength will never hit a woman back cos he knows he can damage her (semi) permanently. Weaklings will hit cos they know the pain from their punches are very short lived.
A woman of strength will control herself knowing slapping a man could result in more than she bargained for. A weakling will slap a man without giving any thought, and when she gets more than she bargained for she starts whining. Use your head. |
TeskyMan:It's a storage device. That's a tiny external storage unit that you insert into a slot on your phone to increase the storage capacity. |
Well . . .? So, after I get to Heaven am I going to be forever singing "Halleluyah" or do I have a choice to sleep all day? Will that constitute rebellion? What will the punishment be then? Will there be punishment? Or I simply cannot do otherwise and forced to sing "Halleluyah" all day? In any case, the contradiction between "Free Will" and the "Omni-potent God" is already problematic enough. "Free Will" or lack of it in Heaven only further complicates the matter. |
I will say this another way: once you see an Igbo man displaying baseless arrogance or sense of entitlement, you can be sure he's bush. He is not a correct representation of the Igbo people in general. |
I will advise my Yoruba people to be discerning; every ethnic group has it's own share of bush people. The Igbo people have theirs. Don't come on here to argue with bush men. I know enough Igbo people who don't reason like this lot. If you check they are posting from some bush outposts that won't show up on any map and can't be located by GPS. |
I will be so glad if Americans (especially the "expatriates") follow this warning. Also all European countries (especially the UK) should issue the same warning and ensure their citizens stick to it. Good riddance. |
Image123:I am. Now answer or fvck off. |
Image123:Why don't you define it, or did I coin the phrase? Now back to you, "What is 'Free Will'"? LOL, I suspect the goal-post is about to be shifted. |
francis247:I recognize your confusion. Symbian is not the only phone operating system. Also Symbian has support for Java J2ME. This particular phone runs on the Android operating system and it does not support Java J2ME (but funny enough Android is generally Java-based). The apps that run on Symbian cannot be installed on an Android phone, but that does not mean you won't find an equivalent app (I am almost certain you will find a KJV Bible app for Android). |
Can any Christian tell me if "Free Will" only applies to Earth, or does it also apply to Heaven? |
I like this "Free Will" concept usually thrown around by Christians (I never saw any such thing in the Bible but that's by the way). But can I ask, when "we" get to Heaven, will we have this "Free Will", or does it only apply on Earth? |
francis247:When you are this ignorant, it is sometimes better to just be "quiet". This is an Android phone. What does Symbian have to do with it? "China phone" is a funny term. China accounts for most of the phones used world-wide including the iPhone. So you might as well call the iPhone a "China phone". |
Katsumoto:Yep. Nigeria qualifies as those alien planets. He refers to politics as played in Nigeria; the politics of sycophancy. And not just politics. The dumber you are, the better. You move up real fast being a puppet in Nigeria. |
The aim appears to create another Cloud OS. Cloud computing covers this already. |
maclatunji:There's enough gold to go round, trust me. ![]() |
kbdrim:I think those who shot him and threw his corpse in a bush must have hated him enough. What say you? |
I don't even care about aesthetics; as long as the Map app works I'm good to go. ![]() |
@yungwun, Quick question: did you try out the Maps application? I want to know how good the GPS is. |
mbatuku1:Unbelievable! So the amount you PLAN to spend (budget) is the same as the amount you ACTUALLY spend (expenditure). So let's do a reduction, we get: Plan to=Actually Very informative I tell ya. |
He wasn't humble enough.
Exactly! For those who don't know, "humble" in Nigeria is actually a code word for "sycophantic". |
The "powers that be" always prefer puppets, and Awolowo was nobody's puppet. And yes, he was first a Yoruba man and second a Nigerian but same applied to every single Nigerian of the period: Shagari was first a Fulani and second a Nigerian so that point is nullified. |
