That area had been like that for over 10 years. I remember back then, we usually ensured nothing made us stop around the flyover anytime from 6:30 pm. If you are coming from town and going towards Eleme/Apajo area, be patient enough not to be tempted to join a bus that will drop you around the bridge or the oil mill bus top. At oil mill bus stop, almost all those guys you see behind you are potential robbers. I once found myself in a situation where I had to walk round the roundabout at about 8:30pm, what I did was, I looked for two bottles holding each in both hands, I tuned my mind to be battle ready, as I notice a guy coming close around the sharp corner leading to Eleme road from oil mill, I broke one of the bottles so loud that anyone could hear it, at such time, it was no longer hidden that he was coming for me. From distance, I heard him saying "who goes you Na" you be suicide?.. That time, I discovered he was alone. I just kept moving, I looked behind and saw him going back but talking from far.. Till I got to that first bustop around the filling station on Apajo axis. When I got to the bus top, people at the bustop seeing me with bottles took off. I laugh and threw away the bottles then dress myself well and I explained things to them.. 1 Like 1 Share |

Now that the border is closed down, it means 75% Christmas rice will be purchased locally, there aee many rice mills in the North who now produced rice to that foreign standard. More business opportunity for everyone who is ready to do business. The rice is absolutely refined, no stone at all, no shaft and its Long grains. A bag of it is around 18-20,000. Unfortunately some of our brothers from Enugu are busy buying in large quantity and rebaging it into foreign sack thereby making the circulation ineffective for the benefit of the masses. 1 Like

On August 8, 1975, a panel was set up under Justice Akinola Aguda to examine the options for a new capital city. One political option was to move the capital and in so doing, meet two criteria: to locate it both in 'neutral' territory not associated with one particular or influential ethnic group into and 'centrally', making it equally accessible to all Nigerian and facilitating administration. The panel examined the suitability of the dual role of Lagos as a state and as a federal capital and recommended in its report that the capital city of Nigeria be relocated to a new federal capital territory sized approximately 100 x 100 kilometres in the geographical centre of the country, at Abuja. THE LATTER WAS THE NAME OF A NEARBY VILLAGE THAT WAS RENAMED SULEJA, with Abuja reserved instead for the capital-to-be. On February 5, 1976, Decree no. 6 (henceforth known as the federal capital territory act) was issued, sounding the starting gun for the move to a new capital that was "a symbol of Nigeria's aspirations for unity and greatness". Planning the new capital was entrusted to the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) of Nigeria as a new legal entity that was given the mission of "building and administering the new Federal Capital" a brief that extended to constructing and maintaining "roads, railways, sidings, tramways, bridges, reservoirs, water courses, buildings, plants and machinery and other works as may be necessary. In June 1977, the FCDA commissioned a team of international planning consultants to draft a master plan for the new Federal Capital of Nigeria, and a little more than 18 months later, the blueprint was published. The City was to be built in four phases, the first was scheduled to commence in 1980 and to provide space for 230,000 inhabitants by 1986, the capital was scaled OVERALL FOR A POPULATION OF 1,600,000 - and expandable sideways of 3,000,000. with a "Central Area" at its heart. The latter had two wings, which contained a total of eight essential self-contained sub-cities like pearl on a string-forming a backbone of the future rapid transit lines. RenHub:I understand your feelings about this, but don't forget your children are involved in this. How sure are you that your children would understand and reckon with the fact that you sent their mother to jail. How will they look at you for every day they live to remember their mum is being caged in Nigerian prison. Maturity has a second phase. For every action there are consequences, whether legal or personal. But the worse of it all is that emotional torture emanating from consequence of actions not properly weighed before taking them. U dey talk like like this because e never happened around you neh. If they tell you what is happening in various homes, u go climb tree you no go gree come down again, but when the shame become so capital, men of wisdom think of the effect of sending the women packing would have on their children and possible imbalances and overlook but maintain a safe stand in the marriage. I know of married couples who do not smile or talk to each other for over 4 years now, they are living like flatmates. The man never eat food prepared by the woman again for over 4 years. No interaction, no discussion no pleasantries. The guy credit her account at beginning of every month for entire domestic needs, no benefit is extended to her and nothing at all.. I've been to their apartment on several occasions to settle the matter but it seems the damage is irreparable and the man insist he would never divorce her as children are involved in the marriage. But Emotional trauma shed going through now no get part 2. The lady allowed her boyfriend talk her into poisoning her legitimately married hubby. As God will have it, the guy was able to survive it after being rushed to the hospital. Her entire family know what she's passing through but shame never allow them to even talk to the man for pardon. Just pray God no allow wetin pass you come your way.. |

All I can recall is the case of this Redeem church pastor that rushed into the bathroom while a sister was taking her bath and raped her on account of house fellowship, and subsequently continue sleeping with the sister till she got pregnant.. Whenever the sister raises a surprising question at his characters that doesn't even befit that of someone to even call a gentle man let alone being a pastor well recognised and starting a missionary, he says "forget pastor thing". Afterwards, he turned the sister, a Firstbank staff to his ATM, he got the sister pregnant and out of shame that might befall his Pastoral career, the sister sponsored the wedding completely, they did a white wedding with 3 months pregnancy in Abuja. In fact, there are indeed lots of high profile cases to judge around religious leaders before the Almighty.. The sister suffered a lot of abuses in the hands of the supposed pastor. Beating.. Forceful seizure of her salary in the name of 'after your God I'm the next..,' rape that comes with hitting a woman's joints till she gets weak and several direct assaults.. The Wedding since 2016, has been without a job for the man, and the sister has been the ATM that cater for the jobless abusive pastor and the kid with all responsibilities that comes into marriage. Worse case, she suffered physical and emotional torture of various degrees.. At some points, the sister after going through so much, developed certain degree of mental instability and health challenges that forced her to quit her job. That was how her life and career got shattered by the evil pastor. She had to be placed under some intensive care at a rehabilitation centre for over 6 months before she became mentally normal and stable. The supposed husband and a pastor never visited throughout the period of her health challenges, only to send her text that he has gotten someone else and had moved on. Shamefully he got the new woman and himself living in the same apartment rented by the sister, the electronics and furniture bought by her, the generator, the washing machine and everything the sister laboured for.. It pains me to recall this issue but since the sister says she is not ready to make problem or press any charges against anyone after series of spiritual attack she had been through, there is nothing anyone can do. Permit me to share this brief story with u, Sometimes in 2010, I was to deliver a document at a colleague's place in the evening. It was about 6:30pm when it started raining, I had to stay mute till it stoped raining at about 8:30pm. There were only two access to the street. The one behind and the other at the second. The one behind leads to East-west road while the second one leads to RD road. Normally the one linking the East-west toad was normally locked up by 8pm and all the security personnel would move to the main gate by RD road side. As I was coming out about 8:30pm towards the East-West road, there was this brand new Toyota car coming behind me, the road was untared, bad and muddy upon the heavy downpour that lasted hours, so no sane driver would exceed 20k/h Just as I was approaching the gate, I brought out my phone and placed a call to a popular area guy to look for any of the security guys to come and open for me to pass as taking the RD axis would amount the Israelites' journey to me. It was an impatient lady driving the car behind me, she didn't even wait a second when she started raining insult at me ordering me to open the gate for her. Sayin "what nonsense work are u doing, cant I go I go out at my own time, are u deaf, see as he be, if u open that gate today u are a bastard, wait and let me make a call if u wont lose your job.." It was still drizzling, I was under the rain resting my back against the gate concrete while waiting for the guy I called to bring the gate key for me, she was sited in her car with driver's side widow down.. Behold, the guy showed up with the key, I collected the gate key and opened the gate myself, surprisingly, this lady angrily throttled the car in anger that she purposely bathe me with the whole mud (potopoto) around there, as she zoomed she said 'Idiot'. I was just there cleaning myself with a handkerchief and telling the guy that brought me the key 'Thank u' the guy was like, Oga make we go back house make I give u another trouser to wear, I said no, never mind.. As I crossed the gate and continued walking down, about 2 electric poles after the gate, I met this lady there forcing the car to start.. Every attempt was a failure. It was already dark, the road was lonely and unsafe. As I walked passed her, the next thing I heard was "hello!! Excuse me!! I ignored and kept moving. Then she said 'hey! Please I'm sorry..' I was too angry to even talk to her.. I got to East west road about to join tricycle through Rumuodara/Eliozu axis, just then, my conscience became restless.. My conscience was telling me, 'if something terrible happened to that lady, would you forgive yourself on hearing the news? Sincerely I couldn't continue with my movement, I had to walk back in that darkness and lonely road to assist her. Even as I was helping her push the car out to a safe place, I was still mute and would only talk to give her instruction on what to do as I was pushing.. After we successfully pushed the car to the nearby filling station, she came to apologise over all she did and insisted taking my number which I refused giving her.. So, if anyone ask me, with such experience from a matured Nigerian lady at her late twenties, my response might not be an appreciable one, but I've equally met quite some reasonable Nigerian ladies of various calibre with good heart and admirable virtue. I've not seen one Nigerian sympathise or hold a public concern about the alarming fall in price of crude comparing 1999 and now. I see our brothers shamefully applauding and encouraging Crude theft and pipeline vandals for no reason but hatred.. Obasanjo ruled this country for quite a few tenure, same as Yaradua and GEJ, will it be right to say most of these self inclined social and economical activists never had a true concern about progress of this nation on check as at those past tenure? However they paint this, it will always flag an indication to treason and disruption of peace and order which is ofcourse an international crime. I want to believe some of these agitators and organisers has critically weighed the consequences of these unguarded actions.. When the rule of law sets in, same Nigerians will clamour over refusal of the presidency to secure a release of someone standing a trial of international crime.. My humble opinion.. |

Port Harcourt rate for a 3 bedroom flat apartment with a store is about 3k, I used to pay 2k for a 3-bedroom flat with a store for just a thorough sweeping without mobbing, sweeping and mobbing is charged at 3k. Lagos is about 2k but Lagos people might insist a whole day job, even when u hurry and finish up on time, they often engage you on other areas with assumption of whole day pay. You need to understand the person, there are some kind of people who are reasonable enough to even pay more than the actual charges as motivation incase they need your services some other time, in that case, u may not have to talk much on payment. If the person is not that type, I'd advise you spell things out from beginning.. Its about 2 hours service under normal circumstance except for an unless.. And Iwo is such a primitive town still living in the decade, all the road leading to his town where he claim to secure kingship is terrible. A town with no waste management.. Come to the palace junction, about 2 electric poles to the palace gate is terrible and not motorable. U cant do business in Iwo as all roads are terrible thereby discouraging investors and business proximity.. Coming from Osogbo through Iwo/Ibadan road, just around the popular hotel call Beezee where the so called Oba normally lodge his guest, the road has completely detached into a terrible lagoon.. Vehicle now turn back from that spot to go and ply Odori/Oja ale, to link back to Ibadan road through the police station.. I'm so surprised to see this guy ranting about buying football clubs and boasting of some financial recovery charm. If he so have some of the things he claimed, he wouldn't be seen loitering and luring himself into wealthy politician's homes and gathering because of those small envelopes he's fund of... As it is now, businesses are closing down in Iwo on daily basis because of lack of infrastructure.. If u cannot sell leaves and vegetable, or make moinmoin and eko (agidi) don't even think of going to Iwo. Even banks has refused to come to Iwo as the 3 who are managing the transactions there are seriously lamenting of business proximity.. Beremx:What  Probably you've not been following up events unflagged by social media. I never knew such group existed in Nigeria of our own until I passed their territory in Zaria.. Mere coming close to the range, u would experience a goose pimples and infusion of curiosity especially at days of their special events. The road is often narrowed down and partly barricaded just like entering a military cantonment.. The sad news is that, El-zazaky's activities and record with intelligent bodies has placed some good and aspiring religious scholars rising from ABU on check list till date.
