masseratti:I'm not going to pretend I do not get your point. I get it. I think GEJ even got more than 30% of the votes in SW during the 2015 elections. But, you have to understand the bloc thing. All of the SS supported GEJ, but a significant part of Edo state voted against him. That does not change the fact that the region supported GEJ. Same thing in SE. A significant part of Imo voted against him. The North did not vote overwhelmingly for Buhari. States like Taraba voted well for GEJ. So, it is pointless to cherry pick. The SW as a bloc supported and voted for Buhari. That is how the SS sees it. Even when Afenifere and OPC wanted the opposite, Tinubu delivered the SW. The media machinery was rolled out, and the votes were counted. And let me give you a peace of my mind. You do not insult GEJ on the same post and try to court the favor of SS. OBJ is still respected in the SS despite his own flagrant abuse of power and corruption. Remember he spent $15b on power and only added 1000 MW to the national grid. So, you dare not say GEJ is incompetent, and try to justify the actions of Tinubu and his cronies. Such insolence! In fact, I'm done talking to you. Let's all wait until 2019. We are not big talkers in the SS. The king of Nembe took out a colonial outpost, kidnapped the whites there, and ate them to register his displeasure against the crown during the colonial era. The Oba of Benin beheaded whites who were unfortunate to visit at the wrong time. Those kings lost their thrones, but it should give you an idea of the people living in the SS. We're cold, calculating, ruthless people. It's why we're at war with the FG and still negotiating at the same time. So, I'm waiting to see how the SW would size up to the Northern hegemony. Nobody is voting out Buhari in 2019 if he wants to remain there. He is a Fulani general, not an understanding SSner. Don't think so? Well, Tinubu stayed in Nigeria for the most of GEJ's 6 years tenure. Where the mess is the sissy now? Bloody coward is holed up in London. Can't even react to a fellow party member threatening to impregnate his wife. His words don't hold weight in a party he founded. The SW and Tinubu has been used, dumped, and destroyed. And you guys are scampering looking for allies when there are none. We in the SS are waiting for the right time to inflict the fatal blow. If the SW wants to vote Buhari out by themselves, they can try. You guys should just watch your backs going into this head-on with the North. Fix your mistake yourselves. You guys are part of the 97% remember! The SS never forgives, we never forget. -Lord |
masseratti:Yes, it is because of GEJ! OBJ is his kinsman, so the SW can settle whatever issues they have. In fact, at the moment, it does not seem like they have any issue because they are in the same political camp. Most Yorubas follow Tinubu. And it is evident that he has respect in SW even in the camps of his political opponents. He even has his admirers in the SS (majorly Edo). A lot of people looted state treasury between 1999 and 2015 and did not end up in jail. So Tinubu is not special in that sense. We are not hypocrites in the SS. We simply cannot in good conscience say people like Igbinedion or Odilli are not corrupt and say only Tinubu is corrupt. We don't roll like that. The only people who do that are the Yorubas. Anyone in your good book is a saint, those not in it are demons. And politics shouldn't always be about nailing people. It's that vindictive type of politics that makes politics a do-or-die affair. And we in the SS are more mature than that. The fact is that PDP had left people like Tinubu, Atiku, Buhari, and even IBB to stay in national limelight without seeking to clip their wings in a major way like APC is doing to Tinubu and may soon do to Atiku. Tinubu was not satisfied with his regional empire that was guaranteed under GEJ and PDP. He was greedy (or ambitious, depending on how you look at it), and he sided with the option that made more political sense to him in 2015. He did that while acknowledging the risk of the blow back from other Southern regions and DID NOT CARE. He owes us no apology for his decision. And so we owe him no apology for the decision we are making. The SW knew what they were getting into when they sided with the North against the SS/SE. It's politics. So you guys should be willing to bear the consequences as well. Don't try to flip the issue on us. If the North hadn't clipped the wings of Tinubu. There would be no talk about Southern Unity today. Sometimes, you guys behave like you are dealing with foo.ls. The SS already has oil. We feed the nation. We've already had 6 years in the presidency and 2 years in the Vice Presidency. History wouldn't change. We were in charge during one of Nigeria's most prosperous times. We don't want secession, and already have a degree of resource control (13%). We have NDDC and a specific Ministry. When we have our complaints, we have the ears of the C-in-C, whether he is a Fulani, Yoruba, or even from outer space. Therefore, the SW is useless to the SS, because there is nothing they can do for us that wouldn't benefit them too. No matter how educated you are, you simply cannot forgive a person who destroys your family name in front of your enemy. Tinubu is a moi moi case (maybe he feels because the Afenifere are willing to save his ass, we would too). The worst is yet to come. Awolowo and MKO that had the blessing of the SS were destroyed politically by the North and nothing happened. It's now Tinubu who is cursed in every other region (NE, NW, NC, SS, and SE) that we'd lose sleep over. You guys are sophisticated. Win your battle alone and share the spoils by yourself. We are not interested. -Lord |
ayokellany:Sound like you're scared of your own shadow! Whether you're a Christian or a Moslem, the punishment for murder, and those that support murder, in your holy book is clearly stated. I do not need to make a rejoinder. You know what is coming for you if you do not stop supporting murder. If you think I'm a chicken who'd succumb to empty words from a bully, you're mistaken. Support murder and suffer the same fate as murderers! -Lord |
7lives:You are corruption in-personified if your argument is that Tinubu stole but is not corrupt. For that all you're saying is trash. Tinubu stole and is corrupt. Alams and Ibori stole and they're corrupt. EOD! You cannot demonize Alams and Ibori and celebrate Tinubu, then coerce others to do the same. The SS are not Afonjas. Get that into your head. -Lord |
How can we compare a Dollar Billionaire with one of the most recognizable Brand on the planet to a Cattle Rearer whose only business asset is 150 cows? Seriously, the comparison is unfair. The only fair comparison I can think of is between Buhari and a stone. And as NLs can testify, a stone is far better than Buhari as the poll below shows. -Lord
|
7lives:So it is okay for Tinubu to steal, but not okay for Alams and Ibori to? This just confirms the fact that the Yorubas are two-faced, claw-faced hypocrites! Get the f.uck off my mention! -Lord |
emerged01:Politicians in Nigeria majorly profit from going the way of the people. Why do you think the governor of Jigawa is building tens of mosques even with poverty entrenched in the system? It's from the building of the mosques that he'll pocket billions. Why do you think Babangida and Abacha are still heroes in the North. Or Ibori an hero in Oghara, or Alams an hero in Bayelsa. A politician can do what the people want and still profit from it. In fact they profit more from promoting the views of the people. I can give you more examples, like child marriage in the North, ban against homosexualism (even when our politicians are famous for indulging in the acts more than commoners)... -Lord |
emerged01:Politicians are careful not to have a fundamentally different view from that of the people. And when they do, the people do not support them. Case in point, Ameachi and the people of Rivers during the 2015 presidential election. The SS is not SW. Know that! -Lord |
TheNonce:My question to you is simple: Did Tinubu not loot Lagos state treasury during his tenure? You need to understand that the SS is not as foolish as the SW. -Lord |
ayokellany:You prophesy? You're still deluded that you can lay curses on anyone? You can't! Because the voice of a murderer holds no weight. And more importantly, Karma is real! Why are you jittery? What you sow you shall reap. The good books says that. You've sown unmitigated and unrepentant support of murder and massacre of families. You'll repeat it too. There's no two ways about it. Change your ways, because I fear you the window of repentance is closing faster than you think. Murderer! -Lord |
LadyExcellency:Well, the SE can pull out, but the SS never forgets. APC and PDP will field Northern candidates. Only PDP will field a SE VP. It has already been zoned. Tinubu will start a new party and we're all very sure that his presidential candidate will not be from the SE. So pending any new arrangement, our choice has already been made for us. And Tinubu just drew a huge bullseye on his ass. And we're waiting patiently for 2019 to take aim. We forgave OBJ's sins against Alams and Ibori because of GEJ's elevation. Tinubu's day of reckoning is coming. And all of this that is happening to him is just child's play. The worst is yet to come. -Lord |
Lleigh:Thanks for the invite. You're doing great so far. I really look forward to the day when our writers would have their stories and books adapted to blockbuster Nollywood movies. I don't think it's a stretch anymore. The talent is there, the producers are there, the audience are yearning for more, so it's not a matter of if, but when. I'm enamored by Nigerian storytellers, so I'm rooting for you guys. Happy Sunday! -Lord |
deeplow:So the guy went to call a mob and told them he wanted to kill her because he wanted her shop and they willfully did it while shouting Allah Akbar. E no go beta for d person when hide your drugs! Dauda wanted to kill her to take her shop, but he couldn't do it alone and so he went to mobilize the mob on the pretense of Blasphemy (it has happened countless times, including a more recent case in Nassarawa where 7 people were burnt inside a house). Supporting extremism makes you an extremist. I'm sure you know that? -Lord |
modath:You have guts you know that. So, because you guys are in power now, national security is more important than political correctness? Bloody hypocrites! Thank your stars Putin is still playing the Savior. He's helped our ass before, he certainly will again. I'm supporting the Nigerian war on terror because of the innocent civilians caught in this power play and the soldiers who put our safety before theirs. Left for APC, I'd have loved to give you guys a taste of your own medicine. Murderers! -Lord |
seunmsg:Maybe this buffoon lives under a rock and also did not read the latest Amnesty International report. Fayose tried to block the China loan deal. And there's evidence of coercion from conservative Nigerian-Americans sympathetic to the IPOB cause trying to get the Americans to not be in a haste to drop the Leahy embargo. If anything but to hamper the ability of the murderous Fulani leadership from quelling dissent in the SE (already shown when protesters were shot in the back). And there's no end to this cycle, because APC started it. In September 21, 2001 when George Bush stood before Congress; the Democrats, Republicans, Independents made a bold, unified stance against terrorism and all their state and non-state sponsors. All the petty squabbling about national policies gave way for unity for the sake of national security. Over here in Nigeria, more than one decade later, it was our turn, and the APC demons sought it best to play politics with our national security. Even going as far as writing to the Americans to not sell us arms. How low is that? Now they're at receiving end of the storm they caused, and they're trying to hide their head in the sand. No APC member dead, alive, or unborn has the moral right to ask any PDP member or anti-APC element to stand with them in this fight against terrorism. They have to chart the course themselves and see how great it is to fight a cancer like terrorism without national unity for a single cause. Bloody ravages! You can't sow corn and reap oranges. -Lord |
PunterTim:You have a soothing sense of humor, I'll give you that. Do have a nice day. -Lord |
@PunterTim, your attention is needed here. -Lord |
Farmerforlife:Yea, it must suck to realize that the ignoble plan of you Mohammedans to conquer the West will not be a cake walk. The West drove the Moors out. Reduced the Ottoman Empire to dust. And will do it again. Islamic supremacy is dead and buried in the West. If you guys can't act as civilized beings and call your foot soldiers to order, you guys have no place in the Western world. Stay in the middle-east and kill each other off. -Lord |
Farmerforlife:Yea, and what has been the response of Christians to these attacks? I don't know if you are suffering from comprehension problems, but please pray tell, if Westerners and Christians in general want to eradicate Sharia. If that was the case, we'd have heavily-armed and well-coordinated Christian terrorist groups sponsored by Britain, the US, the Vatican and several countries around the world using full Emirate and Qatar Airways jets to take down the Burj Khalifa. Or well-coordinated shootings in the city of Tehran, Jeddah, and Islamabad. Is that the case? I'm basing my argument on the premise that Muslims in general are in antithesis to the Western way of life. And you take accounts (most of which are isolated without any link to terrorist groups and 95% of the time target only fellow Christians) as your response. You simply cannot compare the coordination of a few one-man kill squads to a global terror network that exists on every continent on this world. And that's aside the fact that there are far more Christians than Muslims on the planet. If you think that Christian terrorists have done worse than 9/11 in America, then I'm done talking to you. About the US-born muslims, you should know that Muslims have existed side by side with Christians in America for decades, and until recently the Islamic side suppressed their disdain for the Western system concretely. The radicalization and outright display of intolerance is coming from overseas. And we now have home-grown threats as a result. That's where Omar Mateen comes in. America can very well deal with home-grown threats whether Christian or Islamic to the Western way of life, but we can't be fighting on different fronts including muslim immigrants who were all responsible for 9/11. There is no world domination in Christianity that all Christians are looking forward to and tacitly giving support to insane white guys for. 99.99% of Christians and secularists (people like me who are non-religious theists, atheists, et cetera) all over the world denounce and do all within our power to suppress the activities of these rouge, renegade fuckers that belong to state penitentiaries. Can we say the same thing about Muslims? Sharia and Islam are not welcome in the West. Deal with it, go back to your Islamic country, or go create your own country. The West has decided. If this will lead to more confrontation, please bring it on! -Lord |
nonjebose:I think so too. -Lord |
As per PDP and the defeat in 2015, I just came across the Bible verse of 2 Samuel 1:25. (wailers na joke o)... As for APC. Make me siddon dey look them. People can make their predictions on when they'd lose their current status. -Lord |
PunterTim:Spies? Medically mentally formatted? Too many Hollywood movies mate. Maybe you fail to understand the severity of terrorism. We're talking about people who brainwash 12 yr old girls to strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up. If a religion starts today with the goal of killing all abortionists and gays, and the government talks about restricting the activities of the people, I'm certain you'd also throw up the suppression of religion and freedom of worship flag? The hysteria is high, and I wonder why. May the terror has gotten to you guys, and you guys are too scared to confront these people. Nobody is saying mosques will be locked or that muslims can no longer proselytize. We're just saying we don't want new immigrants coming in for the mean time. The US rations the number of immigrants who seek for visa from several regions including Africa. I'm sure you'll call that racism? As for the states that sponsor terrorism, I'll give you three. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey. Should I mention more? Please, it has been a pleasure chatting with you. But I can't keep this up. Everyone has divergent views. There are many issues on which I do not agree with Trump. There are few like this one that I do agree with him on. No two people can agree 100% on all views. So maybe one day we can have a sit down and discuss this in-depth. For the moment tho', the American people have spoken, like the British and other Europeans. You cannot understand the Western way of life more than the Westerners themselves. All the best and thanks for your time. -Lord |
I am not understanding this Dangote sef. Only you want government to sell NLNG but you want them to stop privatization in power. Sometimes, when this guy talks (with all due respect for his business acumen), I begin to question his nationality. NLNG that's been properly managed should stay under the government. Power where Nigeria before privatization had spent more than $35b to generate less than 3000MW should go to private hands. The power sector is like the refineries. If we hadn't privatized, we'd have continued dumping money to unseen cabals without noticeable improvements. -Lord |
PunterTim:Sure. Because your blackmails aren't cutting it anymore. Please, take a minute to figure out why the majority of people in Britain, America, Greece, Slovakia and more European countries are not paying mind to the Islamophobia reference? Islam is not welcome in the West! Simple! So again. Quit the Islamophobia blackmails. It has lost its cred. If you want to help. Then try to talk to your Islamic friends to do more than they are currently doing to phase out terrorism. EU problems need European solutions. African problems need African solutions. Islamic problems need Islamic solutions. If muslims do not want to lead the fight against terrorism and see the fight as their own, rather than demonizing the retaliation of the West. Then they can STFU about Western responses. As Bush said in Congress when he declared War on Terrorism, ""Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make, either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists." Don't talk about how the West is taking a hard stance on Islam, talk more about what Islam is doing about terrorism. -Lord |
It's unfortunate that the literary icon allowed his emotions to get the better part of him on that occasion. But as a honorable figure as he wants us to believe, he should fulfill his promise, and deal with the repercussions. Of all the Nobel laureates, only him one said he would tear his green card. He didn't realize that as one of the most recognizable names from Nigeria, all the words he utters while outside the shores have an imprint on Nigerians in general. Even the celebrities born in America said they would leave US. Most did not talk about tearing their passports. *in Mama Peace voice* Oga Soyinka, na only u waka come? Do quick come back, make we continue the restructuring waka abeg! That's the only silver lining to this shameful episode. -Lord |
PunterTim:Maybe you've forgotten that an increasing number of foreign IS fighters are Muslims born in the West. So, when I say U.S.-born muslims are in the clear. I mean majorly, because they are U.S. citizens. Western-born muslims haven't always displayed their hostility against the Western way of life until a few decades ago. And whites accepted them. So, it's people like Omar and other IS fighters born in the West that are complicating things further, not conservative Americans. And what you confirmed is exactly what I've been trying to say that there is something inherently wrong with Islam, that muslims must do something about. Else, all your Islamophobic taunts wouldn't stick anymore. -Lord |
PunterTim:It was an opportunity, but it wasn't the best. Especially given the conditions given to us. In fact, there is no coordinated account of what's happening. So you can understand where the animosity is coming from. The increased tragedies is not coincidental. It is directly as a result of the release of the better strategists. You don't win wars by luck, it's by strategy. So, what you need to ask yourself is if the 100+ soldiers and tens of civilians already killed because of that release justifies the action. I cannot in good conscience say so. If you can, well it says more about your value system than mine. The Chibok girls have and always will be a priority, but one does not make hasty and reckless decisions just to make cheap political points. Islamic terrorism is more than a vice. Stealing is a vice. No one, except a person is raised in a crime family, condones it. It helps no one legitimately and no one subtly supports it. Islamic terrorism is different. All muslims want Sharia and Islam to dominate the world. Only some of them are willing to do what their patriarch Mohammed did. And deep down you know the Muslims have not done enough to quash terrorism as tho they are serious about combating it. That is the real problem. There does not appear to be the will from the Islamists to tackle terrorism. Terrorism is still majorly state-sponsored. The most deadly of them all belong on the same Wahabbist doctrine shared by the Saudi Royal Family and the seat of Islam itself. So, what are you talking about. Instead of them to concentrate on that, they're trying to play victims. And you guys are playing into it like willing baits. There are advantages and disadvantages of every decision. But don't call preserving the Western culture and increasing safety a disadvantage. The world has always been divided, so let's not say it like it was all rosy before Trump came on the scene. -Lord |
Farmerforlife:Are you for real? The school and theater shootings were from loose cannons. It had nothing to do with religious beliefs which the gay bar shooting was about. So maybe you want to check facts before lumping everything together. Islamic countries know themselves. Or would you call Saudi Arabia a Christian country. US-born muslims are in the clear. Muslim immigrants that can't be 100% vetted are the ones caught in the cross hairs. The US is a secular country that can choose to go against any ideology that threatens the American way of life. All you liberals are sick in the head! Before terrorism became a thing in the West, muslims in America were very well tolerated. Even better than gays, people of color, and women. The change in perception directly reflects the changing times. You better accept the change or get stucked in the past. Islamists are a danger to the Western way of life. You can't argue that. The Asian way of life is compatible, the European way of life is compatible, Africans same way, and South Americans too. Only the Mohammedans want the Western way of life to be eliminated or at best curtailed. Who else has this same non-tolerant view? You can keep going to a gun-fight with a knife and then ask yourself why you're receiving bullet wounds instead of knife wounds. Your choice. Americans, the British, Greeks, Slovaks, et cetera have chosen the opposite. You are an African, you can't be more liberal than the same people who gave you a bloodless independence and scrapped slavery against their own economic benefits. So, stop the posturing and come together to solve African problems rather than talk about issues you know virtually nothing about except what the mainstream propaganda sells to you. -Lord |
PunterTim:It's unfortunate you've been disappointed. But those are my views. I'm showing a relationship between the soldiers' deaths and the prisoner swaps. Thousands of people including women and children have been kidnapped by these same terrorists. All I'm saying is that Nigeria did not get a good deal from the negotiations. And considering the politics being played with this Chibok saga, all of these state actions call for deeper scrutiny. About Islamophobia, I don't know what news you're reading. A muslim walked into a gay bar in Chicago and started spraying bullets. Gays are beheaded in Saudi Arabia. And for some reason, I or Trump is the enemy. How many people have homosexuals killed? Even with the persecution around the world, do you know of any gay militia shooting and blowing people up. Muslims can't stand the western way of life, so they can congregate in their countries where it's fine and okay to live according to their culture. Minorities in Islamic countries are persecuted in their numbers, maybe it's Karma serving them back. Let the Islamic countries keep their people. They're rich and there are plenty of opportunities for them. We're talking about the safety and preserving the Western way of life from an hostile culture. And all you can see is the bickering. Trump may be a conservative and has his issues with same-sex relations. But same-sex couples and hetero couples are going to put the safety of themselves, their kids (adopted or not), and their family above other things. -Lord |
Koolking:It is necessary. We need to talk about how we lost Col. Ali. Col. Ali didn't die at the height of the war, it's now barely weeks after top boko commanders were released that he died in a territory that is supposed to be firmly under government control. Someone just played a rude prank and our soldiers are dieing in their numbers. 83, 4 ,13... It's all just numbers to you guys, but it isn't to me. Before that Chibok exchange these number of deaths were thought to be a thing of the past. Now, it's back. And we know who made it possible or at least is in charge. -Lord |
donphilopus:STFU! Did the Shiites not have a confrontation with the Nigerian military during GEJ's time? Was the army not careful to keep the number of casualties low (according to records, it was less than 10 people which is understandable for an army-civilian clash)? Did they metamorphose into a terror group? Why did Buhari and that midget in Kaduna not say they are a threat to National Security when the same IMN were giving them their votes? It is now that they are a threat to National Security. Well, you guys have opened Pandora's box. And when the fireworks start coming, I'm very certain it'd be restricted to the North. And all you lots championing the killings now, would have relations and people over there who would receive the full brunt of the revenge. You don't kill civilians unnecessarily to quash an ideology. It never worked with Biafra, it never worked with Boko Haram. It wouldn't work with IMN. So look at the time, the clock is ticking. @bold, can you provide a link to where he made such statement? You don't just come online and lie. BTW, who told you his wife who happens to be a beautician can send her children abroad to school?Watch this interview Buhari made on Al-Jazeera -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnadZ4vA2oI Which WAEC certificate are you talking about? What did he use in the 2003, 2007 and 2011 Elections? A man who rose to become a Major General and Head of Nigerian Military Government couldn't have been that successful/lucky in the Military with a PSLC.Trash talk. People become governors in Nigeria with fake results. The Civilian JTFs that were recently incorporated into the army, I'm willing to bet my hat, that not all of them satisfy the basic requirements. Buhari entered the army with principal's recommendation. And by the way, since he is the president, why can't he produce his certificate. He is the C-in-C, even if he lost it, he can order WAEC to check their records and bring it out within 1 month. It has been 18 months. Someone took him to court to produce the same certificate and he hired 13 SANs. Who does that? He doesn't have his certificate. If he did, he'd do like Obama and release it (Obama released his Birth Certificate in public domain when he was asked of it). I don't think I'm getting you here Mr Man. Saying aggressiveness against Boko Haram is a war against the North now means what? Haven't you read more inciting statements from Edwin Clark and other Niger Delta leaders in support of militants? Did Jonathan not say that Boko Haram members are his siblings? Did you crucify him for that? BTW, did Jonathan initially believe when he was briefed that some girls where kidnapped from the FGGC in Chibok?Do militants kill innocent people and bomb churches, mosques and markets? Jonathan was re-echoing the antics from the North, because he was trying to court support from the North to deal with it as a regional thing first. He was clearly wrong, because the North and Buhari were satisfied with letting the demon fester. How will you initially believe something if you have not heard from the CSO in the state. The Borno state governor did not repeat the incident until 2 weeks later when the president called him himself. Now if someone said your sister is a prostitute, would you believe them from the get-go or wait to hear from your sister? In any case, what did the action of the governor tell you, if not negligence and conspiracy to let that incident happen? Why did the principal and the Governor allow a school that was warned not to take the exams open their doors? In a sane society, the principal and governor should be placed before a public enquiry in the Senate, disrobed of their positions and made to spend forever in cells. Whatever you call it. It's now visible to the blind, audible to the deaf, perceivable to the anosmia and vocal to the dumb that indeed some school girls were kidnapped in Chibok. My friend answer the question. How many girls were kidnapped? The Chibok story is ridden with inconsistency, fallacies, and it doesn't sound right. Anyone with a brain knows that. Again, I'll tell you. You're a murderer. The bloods of those innocent Shiites, IPOB protesters, and other unwanton killings are also on your hands. -Lord |
ShinnBet:They should come. We're ready for them. Nobody is giving them breathing space any more. Two-faced shameful liars! -Lord |
