sekundosekundo:I used to be a proponent of this same school of thought regarding Muslims, until two practitioners of the faith betrayed me in business. Well, as an irreligious but a Godly man, I stand bold to say that 99 percent of religious proponents and practitioners are perfidious. Religion of all types remain an object of subjugation - the shepherds are always predaceous while the sheeples are always leechlike. One's belief system doesn't necessarily project his character. |
A typical conceited person "there's no one with my political stature that can take over from me." Nonsense. Truly, conceit is God's gift to small-minded people like Mugabe. Neither quality schooling - not education - nor wealth can buy a small-minded person a noble class status. |
There's actually no difference between the lady's dummy action and that of every other religious sheeple practitioners and proponent. As for the devious guy, to hell with him. I loathe opportunists. |
DLondonboiy:Shut up. At the risk of sounding immodest, I'm not a pauper like your wretched parents. As you can see, you've just validated my submission. Conceit is God's gift to small-minded people like you. |
As a people, the bane of majorities' stagnation and retrogression in this country has to do with their bad attitudes. I'll keep on saying it, a country where majority of its citizen mistake perfidiousness for cleverness; conceitedness for intelligence and confidence can never experience sustainable prosperity. But the very moment people redefine their ethical leanings and embrace goodness, they'll start to experience sustainable prosperity. Conceited people never make good followers - they're articulate incompetents. They know everything but understand nothing. Perfidious people aren't to be trusted because they're greed personify. Great countries are built and being sustained by smart citizens. It's unfortunate that smart people aren't found among perfidious and conceited people. Intelligence plus honesty equal to smartness. In summary, I get to where I'm today through careful planning (self-will is very important here), some good attributes (my greatest currency remains my personality and ethical philosophy), mastery of valuable skills (dynamism and versatility are very important) and family support. I'm living my vision, which is to build a world-class company that will stand the test of time. I'm success conscious not money conscious - I'm ambitious and driving by adventures. I'm never a greedy person so you won't see me competing with anyone. |
Well, since friendship is not a lesser form of love (erotic love and motherly love) but only different in the fact that unlike love, it has no observable biological necessities, then I stand bold to say yes, two principled people of the opposite sex can be just friends without any romantic involvement. However, coming across principled people is becoming a herculean task these days. |
Alero3Arubi:Lol. Actually, I made my presentation on the basis that the Honda woman was smart enough to diplomatically picked on the husband on his arrival at the accident scene and if she left the scene immediately afterwards. And also was prompt to have her lawyers to file for a case of treachery against her husband and joined the mistress as a co-defendant. Then, a honourable mention of the accident scene will be to substantiate her claims. Meanderings not lies win cases for smart lawyers. |
The man: Here you've a traitor. He betrayed his wife by undermining his marriage vows, cheating on his wife and neglecting her. He deserved a life imprisonment. The range rover mistress: She's a husband snatcher and a troublemaker. She's a troublemaker because she invited a non authorized person - her unlucky boyfriend - instead of the police or road safety to the scene of the accident. She deserved a 10 years imprisonment. The legal wife/Honda woman: She has no case, because no authorized person or organization found her wrong in the alleged vehicle bashing. . . She remains innocent until proven guilty by a law court of competent jurisdiction. |
Freedom of speech doesn't validate calumny. |
webbro007:Stop being small-minded. Power is never given it's always taken. . . . If you need it, fight for it. |
You're an altruistic and selfless person. Kudos. Now, you have to differentiate servility from loyalty. Lay your principles/set boundaries, and never cross the lines no matter whose ox is gored. Any relationship that requires servility to sustain is not healthy. So, neither intentionally make yourself servile to others nor allow others to subject you to servility. The world is made up of 99% of self-centered and selfish people and only 1% of altruistic and selfless people. The very moment anyone close to you - don't always mistake closeness with loyalty - begin to exhibit negative attitudes like envy, sense of entitlement, dissatisfaction, ingratitude etc, separate - but don't alienate - from the person. |
The first rule to observe before venturing into the daring hobby of activism is understanding the difference between self-will and conceit. When you embrace the former it will help make you in all forms while the latter will mar you in all forms. Olusegun Kayode Bello wasn't a smart activist - he's a very conceited person. |
Come on! It's a taboo for a responsible person to go where s/he is not celebrated - in this case, you're not even being tolerated least of being wanted. Quit. |
Every form of religion is an object of subjugation. . . . No religion is better than the other. God/Allah remains supreme. Anyone who need religion to do good simply lack good morals and as such should change his/her ethical philosophy. |
That money there is less than 100k naira. |
Team Work; Undivided professionals crowd-pulling their efforts together as a team vs independent-minded professionals working together as a team. While the former encourages quasi-unity, limited productivity, backbiting and other vices the latter always provides maximum productivity, unnecessary familiarity/respect for all sane and sound and many other goodnesses. |
@OP It's obvious that you're competing with Lia Mohammed. |
Notionally, this happenstance is about the guy breaking up with her because he has made money. But literally, which is the truth, the guy broke up with her because he has achieved self-realization, and realized that the goodnesses she possess aren't enough for him. . . that however doesn't make her evil. My point remains, the importance of self-realization can never be overemphasized. The moment/stage in life at which a man/woman achieved self-realization always mark the beginning of such person's journey on earth. When you hear about irreconcilable differences, which is the major cause of divorces everywhere in the world, you will come to appreciate the importance of two parties achieving self-realization before entering into serious relationship in life. The lady should accept her fate, I know it hurts, and move on with her life. The guy broke up with her not because he hates her, no, rather because he doesn't love her enough to have her as a wife. |
All of you that casted aspertion on the lucky-victim girl, especially the ladies, were just been hypocritically disingenuous. I mean, she had him as a boyfriend just like almost all of you too has boyfriends/husbands which notionally isn't a crime. So, I see no sense in disparaging and crucifying her because of the evil machinations of the guy. Meanwhile, the guy is a typical example of what majority of the country citizens are, a country that about 99 percent of its population is conservatively superficial. A people that sees no evil in living life on expediency rather than principle. Greed and gullibility are some of the major banes of our retrogression as a people. |
I wonder why majority of my compatriots like to celebrate mediocrity. What's there to celebrate about a graduate that sells Irish potato? |
@OP What that same woman didn't tell you is that the man she married is a sane and sound man - a noble man. A virtuous woman will do all these and more, because he married a man of noble class. And a noble man will get all these acts of submissiveness mixed with some self-servility from his woman, because he's full of goodness. |
He didn't sell a non existent airport per se instead he used a shill, Senator Dr. Owudiwe, to have the client to buy into financing Abuja international airport which was under construction then. Although, he hadn't no genuine stake in the project. So the deal didn't require much brain work for an informed person. And the client wasn't really as dumb as people take him to be, he only fell for an intelligent perfidious group - any other intelligent business adventurous non suspecting person could have equally fall for the scheme then. Meanwhile, it was when he realized this particular fraud that he became a union bank largest share holder - he was a non executive director of the bank. In fact, the first two big deals that made him a billionaire before the airport deal occurred, hasn't been made known to the Nigerian government up to date. . . Assuming that the government is privy to these other two deals, believe you me, heads will roll. |
Know yourself - Self-realization - and understand what attributes you need from a partner (which you too must possess) then go for s/he that you fancy (one who fancy's you too) who possesses those attributes. In summary, marry the one you love who equally love you too. |
Prof Utomi I know is a perfect definition of an articulate incompetent. . . . He knows everything but understand nothing. Conceit remains God's gift to small-minded people. One can possess all the academic degrees and money in this world but still remain small-minded. |
Kudos to the lady. She's wise enough to understand that you're a feeble-minded person, thus the reason why she took a walk while she still had chance, because she's come to understand that the disadvantages of putting up with a gullible person like you outweighs the advantages. Your rant showed that you're hypocritically disingenuous over your givens and nice persona acts towards her while the relationship lasted. Opportunists aren't meant to be kept as friends or lovers forever, because they're the most perfidious sets of human beings to associate closely with. An altruist in your case might even spent bigger than you did, but he can never feel hurt, over what the spent on such lady, in the event the relationship comes to an end for whatever reason. This is so because altruists gives both altruistically and conscientiously. |
The importance of self-will can never be over emphasized. Real men/noble men don't live their lives to please anyone - the live and act conscientiously irrespective of whom their realness offends. Obviously, he married from a family of small-minded people, the worst mistake any noble/virtuous man/woman can ever make. . . . Money doesn't buy class. Only small-minded people competes with others. Noble men are neither looking to pull others down nor follow their ways, instead they always try to reach their own boundaries. Competition is a sign of envy and envy is a product of covetousness. I loathe small-minded people. |
DukeNija:Kindly vamoose and look for your mates elsewhere. I don't remember neither quoting you nor soliciting for your validation. |
He made some valid points. However, neither riches nor quality education can ever make a virtuous woman to become evil. Riches and quality education only help make a woman of virtues, who otherwise and ordinarily would have be a pawn in the hands of a small-minded man - if she's not lucky to marry a noble man - to become self-willed. Self-Will isn't a negative attitude. A nobleman knows that respect and loyalty are earned not given, thus, he strives to earn them - he's always a proponent of reciprocity. But a small-minded man believes that he's entitled to a woman's respect and loyalty, thus, he tends to misbehave - you're either servile to him or you'll not know peace and happiness around him. Any relationship that requires servility from either parties to sustain and maintain isn't a healthy one and should be separated from with alacrity. Every nobleman I know is responsible and all responsible people are always able to cater for theirs and family financial needs - they may be temporary down at some point in time in the journey of life but they never become permanently down/out. . . So I see no evil in a responsible man who's temporarily down and depends on his wife for survival. |
Come on people! Saying that there are no "all rounder women" is tantamount to saying that there are no virtuous women. . . . Tell me that there's no perfect woman anywhere instead and I'll concur. I've seen an all rounder women. |
@OP You're a typical domineering - entitled - person. Conceit remains God's gift to small-minded people. One more thing with every domineering persons is that they're covetous also. . . . Only opportunists act and reacts the way you did. A smart person would always understand that people of all classes and gender are entitled to free-will, its a right not privilege. Eschew your pride and politely call - not necessarily to apologize - the girl to make up with her. You're at fault. |
NtoAkwaIbom:Your submission caught my attention. Kindly be mindful of what you wish. There's nothing good about lie and deceit (perfidiousness). Perfidiousness is never the same thing as dishonesty, neither is it a sign of cleverness. . . Every act of perfidy is detrimental to the receiver but acts of dishonesty are not detrimental to the receiver. I wonder why you would wish for a perfidious partner/offspring when you can have a smart ones. Honesty remains the best policy in business/life. Smartness is a product of intelligence and honesty. Tell me that you'd be bored having a truthful wife and I will agree with you. But sure, what you need is a honest wife not a perfidious wife. Note the differences among these words: Perfidious person; someone that's intentionally deceitful and lie. Eg You are away from home, and your healthy wife, whom you left with enough money, out of greed called you, darling, I am seriously sick and need urgent medical attention, send me money urgently because I may die before the next few hours if I don't receive treatment immediately - urgently, you send her money and she sit on it and laugh while you're drained both financially and emotionally. Truthful person: someone that tells you exact situation of things even when such exactness can put either of you in danger. Eg while your wife who's at home is being held captive by assassins, who have come purposely to kill you once they see you but will leave without harming anyone if they didn't see you after some hours, but luckily you weren't at home at that point in time. Then you called your wife and tell her that you are about coming home and asked if she's home, and your wife says, yes I am at home at the moment but I am being held captive by assassins who are after you, if you come now they will kill you. . . I hope you can see that even though she was truthful to you, yet she has put herself in danger. This is a clear example of having a bored person as a partner. Honest person; someone that tells you things that are beneficial to you at any given time, and intentionally conceal facts that are detrimental to you. Eg while your wife who's at home is being held captive by assassins, who have come purposely to kill you, but luckily you weren't at home at that point in time, then you called your wife that you are about coming home and asked if she's there and your wife says, no I am not at home at the moment so stay put where you're, when I get home I will inform you so that you will start coming back. . . . I hope you can see that even though she was dishonest to you about her location, yet she meant well for you. This is what is called cleverness. And this is why I said above that "Every act of perfidy is detrimental to the receiver but acts of dishonesty are never detrimental to the receiver." In summary, wish yourself a wife who's honest - can be dishonest when time permits - but one who's neither truthful nor perfidious. |
Kudos @OP. As far as I am concerned, it's either reciprocity or nothing - although the reciprocity doesn't need to be in equal proportion, I love giving than receiving. I loathe selfish, perfidious, covetous and disingenuous ladies/people. However, broke guys - like some I sighted above - should stop this funny but irritating act of equating poverty for piousness while mistaking success for evil. |
