I pointed out other things or better was to utilize your unused Arik Air ticket instead of asking for a refund. I talked about how to open the ticket, Changing the ticket etc is better than refund.

True. It's better to use the ticket than get HBP pursuing them for a refund.

When the family travelled to Lagos last year Arik cancelled the flight and said we should contact customer care. We jejely went to the airport the following day determined to get on the plane since we had our tickets and they were the ones who cancelled the flight.

My uncle had followed them up for a refund on his West coast flight ticket till I felt sorry for him.

Eventually, they insisted they had paid him but there was no sign of such a payment to his account
.

That was the episode that made me know refunds are a difficult issue with Arik.

Yet they will always be cheated during the PAY.
I almost died that year while doing Labour job inside the rain.

So the cheating isn't a new thing. My DH told me that in the 70s, he and some of his classmates decided to make some pocket money one holiday. They went to a block factory and the owner gave them his terms, like each person would move a certain number of cement blocks for the day.

The boys set to work and competed to finish first so by midday they were done.

They went to the owner for their pay and he gave them only half of the sum he should have paid them, saying they worked for half a day!

Op, it's infuriating but I advise that you let the money go and see this experience as a lesson on the handling of family relationships.

The money is gone and you will end up being the bad person.

I don't do money matters with family because when things go south, other members of the family will intervene and remind you that you are one blood. So no refund.

It's tough but please say nothing more about
the money to anyone, your parents inclusive

Mr Zubair exonerated his supervisor? Was a perfectionist? I don't know Zubair but I know the system. Perhaps he submitted his drafts and they were unread for 6 months or were returned to him regularly as not adequate with the goal of teaching him a lesson.

The Prof also alluded to his marital issues. Do you know that a man's frustrations at the office can affect his home especially if his wife is not prayerful and a source of wise counsel? If a man is being oppressed in the office and the oppressors now say 'are we also responsible for his marital issues ', they are being clever. There are many ways to destroy a man.

Rather than this feeble attempt at a cover up, I hope UI will review its procedures and leave less room for seniors to oppress their juniors.

The two accounts show that the man was an abusive husband. The first account was a biased one.

Generally, two adult women can't live together if they don't take necessary steps to respect the landlady's space.

Divorce is easier if a woman can take care of herself and the children. The wife here couldn't so she bore the abuse.

I don't believe her siblings meant to kill him. I have an uncle whose wife was a VERY hardworking woman. However, he was an abusive husband. For many years, she suffered the abuse and would sometimes flee the home. My uncle didn't listen to counsel. They had 4 children.

Then her brothers got together and visited him. They gave him a good beating and promised him the same anytime he beat their sister again. That was how the abuse ended.

The couple are now grandparents and have been together for over 36 years.

The 1969 crash was a BOAC VC-10 airplane. I remember it because my father had gone to the airport to pick my mum up and he watched the plane come in, crash and burst into flames.

He came home sad because he believed my mum was a victim and talked about the crash. Then a telegram was delivered which stated that she did not take the flight and would be coming home later.

Parents, please raise your daughters up with self-love self-esteem and self-worth. Stop raising kids to put you and your feelings above theirs. Thereby raising them with zero self love, self worth and self esteem. Make sure your kids know that they can always depend on you. Raise them to know how to handle themselves in cases a situation like this arises. Teach then what they can do.
Teach them how the world is.
Just throwing money on a child doesn't make you a good parent.

My father bought a National blender yeah dats d name NATIONAL since 1998 till date the blender is a boss among all we have and it is still functioning

My Moulinex was bought in 1994. The blender was retired in 2013 because it was leaking but the grinder is in active service.

It does a better job than my Kenwood grinder bought in 2013.

But I understand individuals living in Crown Estate and Mayfair Gardens have generators and inverters while some people complain about the low current they experience at Amen Estate.

I gleaned this from the internet. We want a well-run and fully serviced estate.

We will be relocating to Lagos in a few months for work. The office is around the FTZ in Ibeju-Lekki.

We don't know the Lekki axis, having been mainlanders when we lived in Lagos.

Please help by giving us information on estates that have good drainage and a central supply of electricity and treated water. Hopefully, travel times won't be more than an hour to the office.

Any big market in the axis?

You can slice your okro then boil it in a pot with water, a little kaun added.

You have another pot with your meat/fish etc cooking in a rich sauce. When the okro is cooked and really thick, pour it into the sauce, stir well. Let it simmer for five minutes and it's ready. Do not cover the pot fully

My advice? He is in Abuja. Not making a headway. If he goes to Brekete Family, you'll be shocked at how quickly the issue will be resolved. I guess you don't know much about them. I don't think you can push his case from Lagos via email and calls.
