I have a lexus es300 I got toks in 2020. Csr drives well with zero problems but recently after the whole Xmas runaround I noticed acceleration problem. I scanned with my obd and got p0330 for knock sensor, p0420, p0430 for cats and two other codes related to small leak of fuel vapor.

This acceleration problem presents as difficulty gaining speed, there seems to be a 5 seconds or so delay in speeding up from a low speed like after a check point. I called my mech he inspected plugs and coils and said they're bad I changed them all plus fuel filter/pump but this thing continued. I requested they inspect the cats for blockage which was the case in the upstream bank and I had it emptied but this thing no stop.

I was confused. I ordered for new knock sensor plus the harness and I will fix them when they arrive. Yesterday on my way to pH I took closer look at the rpm and noticed it freezes sometimes. When I step on the gas on the highway I hear engine sound increase but rpm does not go up and speed does not increase. The rpm seems to be stuck at 1.4 as I step on the gas. At this time it is stuck, I struggle to gain speed till rpm starts moving up again.

I was not happy how corolla just overtake me come give me serious gap while I was struggling for that 5 seconds but if I remove my feet on the gas and step on it again, the rpm actually goes up and I can attain upto 130km depending on the road conditions.

Sometimes too the rpm bounces back to 1 with my feet on the gas then it sticks at 1 for 5 seconds then pushes upward as the car speeds up to high speed.

My problem is mechanics in my area do not understand anything I am saying but I know something is wrong with this car.

Does anybody have any idea what I'm missing?

It happens to me too when I just started driving my ES 330 last year. Until a break master service it before the piston started moving freely

First of all, the worst mistake you will make is handing a brand new business for someone to manage. The person will chop you raw. It is better you start the business yourself and run it. When the business start gaining grounds, you put someone there. Keep on working and saving, once your money become big, quit once and for all.

Secondly, you see why it is important to learn the business before starting your own. They are many things you will still learn apart from knowing the parts. Differentiating spare parts will be your major challenge at least for the first 2 months. With time even when they wake u up from sleep, you can tell any parts by mere looking at it. Just keep on looking at parts when they come. Just start with knowing names of parts and where they are located inside in a vehicle. With time you will start telling difference between parts, how to identify original and different cars models.

Third: Once you have learnt the business very well probably after 8 months, you will start seeing small small money even without owing a shop via oso afia way.

Motor parts is gold mine just know parts very well.

my best advice for any one venturing into auto parts business if for you to go the shops of those into the business and learn at least six months.

I was expecting that manufacturers would write on the packet the name and model of the vehicle that uses that particular part. But they don't. The guy said that by looking at the parts and the shape, you will know the vehicle that uses it. That can be very frustrating.
