@lovala,
You can use any of the DSTV tps namely 11747h, 27500sr or 11785h, 27500sr. Also, try and use at least 1.8m dish instead of 90cm. As for sirius 4 it could be a weather issue. Try and blindscan again in fair weather.
Thankx Sir George for your input. It helped a lot although we did strike EW4/7 accidentally. We were trying to get Loveworld for a lady neigbour given that they’d jumped ship from IS 7/10 to Astr2b, Nile sat and EW4. since the infinity tv tp on Astra2b is most often red, we decided to tackle EW4a. That was my first time going for the DSTV satellite. Thankx once again. The only low bird still slipping my grip is EW3a. I hope I get to nail it soonest.

what have I been doing wrong? Astra 2b which I used to capture even with 25cm dish is now so elusive even my 90cm dish comes up red for all working tps. what really is going on? am I alone?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 6:25pm On Apr 16, 2010
Plz sir George_D,
What is the working tp for EW4 using 90cm dish and second question is: why is it that when I blindscan on Sirius 4 at 84 percent quality level my audio and video go off (still using 90cm dish with srt 4663)? Thank in advance.

@All:
STV (Spectrum Television), broadcasting from Douala in Cameroon has been having some problems with their transmission signals. I accidentally met with one of their technicians on Friday afternoon when they were bringing down their 6m motorized c-band dish at Essos quarters here in Yaounde to transfer and mount it at Mbankolo another quarter with the highest altitude. I posed the problem of STV1 and also wanted to know the parameters for STV2 and its broadcasting satellite. He’s the one who informed me that they’ve stopped broadcast on STV1 and that they’re carrying out maintenance work for the two channels and as soon as they’ll be through they’ll hit the air again. As for now I don’t know if they’re going to change satellites or remain with Sirius 4. STV2 by the way is in the CanalSat bouquet on NSS7. I hope this helps.

Lest I forget, since the Strong boxes don’t have R and L but V and H for symbol rates, how does one go about converting the V and R to R and L? secondly, the LNBF I have for the 1.8m dish is the fuji. Can it also take a dielectric? Where do I place it if I need to place that into the lnbf?

@All W2a 10 deg East capturers:
Please, dos your azimuth for this bird keep you still swinging towards the east or does it take you into the western skies? Since this bird seems to be new (stand to be corrected) I can’t find it on Dishpointer.com So, I may have a hard time hitting it when my 1.8m gets up and running by this weekend. Hit me with your takes.

Hey guys,

I am in kenya, I have set top box named Eurovox LITE 2S. This box can open the Multichoice scramble channels.

I do not know how it works. You need two dishs. one is for W7, the other is for W3A.

I do not know the receivers are in west africa.
@Robbie81
Throw more light on your eurovox box plz.

Am not sure what dish size you should use to track Badr, but make sure you use the frequency of Abu dhabi's 11804H or preferably KTV's 12523H.
They are the strongest Tps I use to track with 90.
@ayu:
Please, my guy where ya location? Also, wetin be d symbol rates for these two important tps which you just post? Thank you o in advance.

@ lovala, i have tried the same freq and sr you complained about,my question here is did you tried it 69x or 63x,i am receiving 93% on my screen and while trying to scan,nothing pop up.i will try to use my 69x by tomorrow
@Sun-sat:
I did my tracking with a 63x. Keep me posted with any dev. Thankx.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 4:35am On Feb 20, 2010
@lovala, well so u know, strong technologies discontinued the production of srt 4653x because of the rate at which the pyrated copies flooded the market, there by replacing it with 4663x and thats why u dont see it among the list of their present products. So my friend u just might be in possession of one of them fakes, depending on when u bought yours. and also the hack men no longer make patches for them no more !
@Ibaku and Sir George_D:
Thankx men, we here in Cameroon are not aware of such and are surely being ripped off by the fta equipment retailers here. In fact, we are not even given the subscription card which is supposed to accompany the strong stb we buy. Thankx for the info once again.

Please, I ain’t still got a feed back from you guys. I asked some posts ago if strong srt 4653X which we have isn’t authentic given that it is left out of the set of authentic receivers in the My TV Promo promo. I know that in the past sir George_D or some other fellow did indicate how to detect a real strong stb from a fake. I can’t remember the post. But I am just curios that this popular of Strong decoders is left out amongst the authentic ones sold buy Strong Tech.

Blind and auto scan revealed this tp and sr on astra 2b: 12617V9999 added to that of CRTV. What I can’t understand is that even at 67 percent quality showing green, no channel pops up. What really is happening here?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 1:31am On Feb 15, 2010
@xwallace:
Emeritus is right. No matter what satellite name you chose in the manual search, once the dish is given the right azimuth, elevation and skew of the the lnb(f) for the satellite for your location and given your dish size, I guess you’re as good as green! Shey u understsand.

@George_D
Hello Sir George,
My decoder is the Strong SRT 4663x and in my dish set up the range for the lnb is between 9.750/10.600 and I do hit ASTRA 2B with my practicing 65cm dish although Multitv tp is yet to reveal anything. Is there any disparity with what you have as your LNB range for the same bird i.e 0750 – 10600 or is it because you may have a different receiver from me?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 3:01am On Feb 14, 2010
@All
Is the strong SRT4653X Conax a fake? Else, why is not included in the list of authentic decoders in the My TV Promo adverts?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 2:53am On Feb 14, 2010
@LOVALA, I have dedicated one 90cm dish to sirius just to be sure of the feeds and channels. I got the usual channels with STV1 at 64%, though the following feeds came up when i scanned. Hyde park, Cape and Durban, no video or audio. are you on messenger.?
@PP

Hello PP,
If u’ve noticed you’ll realize that I usually post very late at night or early in the morning. It is also about then that I practice with the dish to try out some of the birds because the night is cool, less curiosity form the neighbours is aroused and I’ve also realised that during night hours the quality of reception is better (stand to be corrected) and my visual acuity for the tv screen is higher than during the day. I do have Yahoo! Messenger from withing my e-mail account which I can use to get to you.
Congrats for releasing the feeds from their strangle hold and sorry for the damaged dishes. You’ll be up and running before you know it. Du courage!
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 3:58am On Feb 13, 2010
@All
Finally snapped STV1. it turned green but with a lower percentage quality than the other channels at between 50 and 55. I had to push the LNB inwards towards the dish for the quality of its transponder to get high enough for its reception to move from red to green without cracking. Seems like F2W is geared towards more channels for news, sports, entertainment and games. But, the BIG question is: will these be free?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread Of Free To Air Satellite Tv (part 4) by lovala(m): 3:55am On Feb 13, 2010
@LOVALA, AMEBOPEROO & POFOLO. PLEASE CAN YOU SEND THE TPS FOR FEEDS ON SIRIUS & W3A TO MY BOX. PRINCEPARIS777@GMAIL.COM. THANKS
@PP:
Hello PP,
How your end? Hope you and d family are striving fine. I don’t know if it is the fact that I am using a 65cm dish that is making it impossible for me to get the feeds on Sirius 4.8 even after blindscanning. It was yesternight that I finally caught STV1 and at between 50 and 55 percent quality. I have a 90cm dish on my roof which I am yet to exploit and I guess it is after then that I may get the response first hand to your query because as of now I have difficulty hitting ew3a 7degrees E. with the 65cm dish. My c-band 180cm dish is yet to install and as such I am missing out on a lot of goodies on that band. But, I promises my sslef that it won’t be long before I’ll get that done since I am trying to decide where in the compound it will be mounted without attracting the wrath of my land lord. Luckily for me, my 63x which I burnt while trying to flash was revived thankx to one of the geniuses at Alaba. That is why I can now do some practice with the 65cm dish. But, why don’t you try to hit w3a with these: Mbc 3 and 1, (fq 11190 v sr 3210);. tv zimbo and other (fq 12728 v sr 30000) posted by segunfms and for Sirius: 12562V30000; 12605V29950 after which you can blind scan to pick up the feeds if you are working with a 90cm dish for my guess is you’ll hit pay dirt.

All, Rascom 1 C is active@ 2°E, yesterday night, i could nail RTNC, RTG@, Digital tv & RTNC test plus radio channels from that bird with 60% quality, RTNC is from DR Congo and it's very interesting for Champion's league matches and sport events even if it's a french speaking channel. Please try it on with these parameters: 4051R 9012.

Guys, I have a problem on my hands. I got a Pauxis 4x1 DiSEqC 2.0 switch which I used to connect two of my dishes this evening. The problem is that when I go into the dish setting of my receiver srt4663x and turn the DiSEqC switch to on it shows 1.0 and 1.1 and no matter how I try there is the possibility of only one dish passing through at a time. I have been having problems trying to obtain the transponders of satellites on lyngsat unlike on kingofsat.net where the satellites have been listed and one just have to select and click to have them. On Lyngsat it is by shear luck that I get them. What really is the procedure, please? Just so I don’t spend a lot of time trying to figure out the particular web page for each satellite.

@lovala,
Just go to google.com and type in the bird your looking for. E.g: (intelsat 7/10 lyngsat) and it will bring out the link to the frequency page on lyngsat. Click it and your in.

thank u oga mee.
