@ Bolyjay: Goto: rarlab.com and download winrar. Install it on the PC then download your compressed or zipped software whici should be about 5.1mbytes. Extract the exe folder from the compressed document by first opening the compressed document and then dragging and dropping the SRT updater unto your desk top or a new folder or into your usb flash memory from which your can install into your decoder using the USB port found on it. This the same procedure you’ll use for winzip or 7zip. Hope this helps. ![]() |

@Satlaunch and Olofofo: Please, can you kindly help me and others who don't know it: How does one read footprint maps for satellites? Thankx, big gs(guys)! |
my hifi set doesn't have the auxilary option. It has only video, tuner, cd, phono and tape. so, i don't know which option will work now that there isn't an aux option. help, please! |
I have connected my 4663x decoder AV cord to my hifi set but can’t get any sound. What could be the problem and how can it be remedied? |
Why You Can't Get SabcTell me why I can't get SABC. I thought that's what the thread was about? |
@pofolo: @ all,I don ask dat question b4 o, but Obnelly no wan answer am. |
@lordmickey: hi peeps, there are some free new channels on Intelsat 7/10 i only knw d frequency but no ideal of d symbol rate. d frequency is 12551 V.Blindscan didn't reveal anything new. So, I guess u'll have to reveal the SR for us. |
@obnelly ARABSAT 5B 26.5 e IS AVAILABLE IN OUR SPACE NOW .,hopefully some nice channels will be added very soon.Permit my ignorance here. Plz, what is the dish size that one can use to hit the bird? Thankx for your anticipated reply. |
All: Has any one tried to capture this satellite 28° East BED listed amongst those in the 69x decoder? I can’t find that satellite in the 63. why I ask is because someone took the 69 just arrived here to test it with a 1.8m dish. He came back the next day with about 150 channels that the box opened on from this satellite amongst which were the multitv bouquet, ctrv, abu dhabi tv, tunis, poet, scc and future tv. If any one has shot such a bird please comfirm. |
@All: Apart from astra2b and EW4/7 which other satellite has mpeg4 channels receivable with 90cm ku dishes? I heard there are some on Sirius, but we did try this satellite out with the 69 box and came up with nothing except the normal mpeg2 channels. Help out, plz! |
plz, send picture o. ee go help us. |
@All: Two days gone, I just tested the 4669x+. I don’t know if all others experienced these; 1) Foe some TPs of some satellites e.g. EW4/7 and Astra 2b, the Level bar just runs down to 37 and the quality to about 22 no matter what you do. It just remains like that. I was trying to pick up CRTV et al. on Astra 2b and CCTV et al on EW4/7 so as to check out the MPEG4 channels there in. But, it was a real tough time. Many this way in Yaounde Cameroon are still in the dark (except for cable distributors) about MPEG4 broadcasting and because I had insisted my equipment supplier get the stb from Alaba, I had to help him brig out such MPEG4 channels. I finally had to use my 4663x box to pick up the signals before reconnecting the , 69 box and of course the signals came up. Without the , 63x box, I guess my search would have taken a whole day or even two. 2) The remote control doesn’t have the color button for adjusting parameters as brightness, color, etc. 3) The blindscanning takes extremely long before it is completed and also the response time for a channel to come up when a program button is hit is longer than for the lower series (53 and 63). 4) After blindscanning, the Multitv bouquet of channels couldn’t come up because the level and quality where 0. luckily I applied knowledge gained from the forum: deleted the tp and added manually and they all jumped green. 5) The Positive side is that unlike with the 63, even at 9’oclock position of the LNB, Infinity came up although it was cracking. Skewing to 7’Oclock brought them out clearly and CRTV and GTV also improved from 80 to 90. What is the cause of this drop in level and quality for these tps on these satellites (when you are trying to track) in the 69 box compared to higher levels of 75 to 80 in 53s and 63s? |
@Sir george: Please, accept my belated warm and sincere birthday wishes. many more returns and fruitful and resourceful searching fta days to you. |
@blexxonmak: Thankx my bros. it will do us a world of good if you can also upload a diagram explaining this (I guess there is one some where on the pages of the general fta forum) since pictures speak louder than words. ![]() |

@George_D: Thankx Sir George for the clarification. I guess I got in now and. |
@ALL If you were about shouting “hurray, MyTv is now free to air”, just hold your breathe ‘cos the channels have all gone back to their normal status: encrypted. |
@Sir George, no forget my question o. |
Ameboperoo : Great job there. But is it really possible to get all those birds on 30cm dish? I believe Sirius, NSS7 and Astra2b can be gotten. Though not personally proved. Begginers are encouraged to use 90cm for the first time. @Ameboporoo: I agree with you that it is preferable that beginners start out with 90cm dishes to do their tracking. Concerning whether all the birds mentioned are trac kable with 30cm dishes, my answer is that only with EW3A did I run into a wall when I was carrying out my tests. Also, I did capture EW4/7 with 65 and 90cm dishes but by then my 30cm was no longer available. I guess I should pull this one out of the 30cm track able birds except if some else have done so. |
@George_D: Hello Sir George: Please, what is difference between and MPEG4 receiver like SRT4669x and an HD receiver? I ask this because HD receivers are supposed to be MPEG4, DVB – S2 and the SRT4669x has these characteristics. Still it is not considered HD |
Hello members, some of our new members usually keep asking questions related to dish sizes, receivable satellites and their transponders receivable within our sub region. I thought I should lay out a child board that may help release the stress from contimously repeating answers to such questions here. My knowledgeable gurus can make me toe the line where ever I diverge from the truth. What I am posting are for the satellites I have personally tracked. My equipment, for now are: a 90cm Eurostar dish, a 65cm Strong dish, a eurostar lnb (for the Eurostar dish and strong lnb for the strong dish; and a strong SRT 466X stb. Here we go: Intelsat 7/10 68.5 deg East: Dish size(s): 30cm, 65cm, 90cm. Working transponders (tps): 12722(H)26657, 12722(V)26657, 12682(H)26657, do an auto or blind scan to get the rest. Sirius 4, 4.8 deg East: Dish size(s): 30cm, 65cm, 90cm. Working transponders: 12605(V)29950 make sure your quality is above 75 (so as to get feeds) and then blind scan to get the rest of the tps. Eutelsat W3A, 7 deg East: Dish size: >90cm. Working tps: 11192(V)3210, 10976(V)3333, 12728(V)30000. Like above get the highest quality, above 65 (else video will be freezing0 and blindscan for the rest of the tps. Astra 2b, 28.2 deg East Dish size(s): 30cm, 65cm, 90cm. Working transponders: 12599(V)3250, 12572(V)2854, 12617(V)9999. Get the best quality you can obtain (above 60) then blindscan for the rest of the tps: NSS7, 22 deg W Dish size(s): 30cm, 65cm, 90cm. Working tps: 10986(V)30000. Blindscan for the rest of the tps. Eutelsat 4/7, 36 deg East: Dish size(s): 30cm, 65cm, 90cm. Working tps: 12437(H)23437, get highest quality level and blindscan for the rest of the tps. How to get the highest quality of your image is left to you and your LNB. I am yet to bring down eutelsat W6 and have not yet mounted my 1.8m dish (d tin get some heavy bolts wen I neva see before). Thus, I am still lacking when it comes to C-band channels. I hope others can take my queue and pile up the rest of the tps that can be gotten by different dish sizes above 90cm in this little space. Cheers. |
@George_D: My belated sorry for the spanking of your NileSat lnb. I am sure your fta legs don stranga well well against any on coming thunder strike in the future. lai lai to lai lai! Dem no fit catch u wanting again. Been busy some that I couldn't post. Sabc 1 is now showing on sirus 4@bisi12004: Please, is it on MPEG4 or MPEG2? |
@George_D: Thankx oooo, Oga George. It is the fruit of you people the Gurus’ labour that is yielding dividends here. Abeg, ask Oilepo o wetin 6 feet mean? Sure comic corner! |
@George_D: Thankx, sir George, for your vote of confidence. |
People, my very first time I wanted to connect two dishes to my Strong 4663x box, I encountered some problems and nearly lost money either in changing the switch with another or getting some one to do it for me. I did get help from members of this and other fta forums. This has prompted me to create this baby thread so that those experiencing a similar situation should check it out and help themselves rather than bothering the gurus even though they are here for us and we for them. My DisEqC switch is the Pauxis model. Just like other switches, it has five (5) ports labeled: LNB1 to LNB4 and one port labeled DisEqC to receiver. Let’s assume that your four dishes are pointed at: LNB1 – Intelsat7/10; LNB2 – EW3; LNB3 – Astra2B; and LNB4 – EW2. Steps: 1. Connect the cords from your dishes (up to four) into ports LNB1, LNB2, LNB3, and LNB4 respectively. 2. Connect the cord from your receiver into port DisEqC to Receiver. 3. Turn on your tv and receiver. 4. Go into the menu. 5. Put in your 4 digit code and get into the dish setup. 6. Select Intelsat7/10 as your satellite 7. Scroll down to DisEqC and change from Off to On. 8. Drop down and commit Intelsat7/10 to port 1. 9. Hit the Exit button and whether to save the changes made, hit YES. 10. Enter dish setup again and change your satellite to EW3. 11. Scroll down and commit it to port 2. 12. Go back up and change the satellite to Astra2B and commit it to port3. 13. Repeat step 10 selecting EW2 and then commit it to port 4. 14. Exit. Go ahead and enjoy FTA for life. |
At long last I have finally brought down the most elusive EW3A. thank you all the gurus in the house. In as much as we are alive, we must keep learning and I am always gaining from you people. Thamkx once again. |
@lovala i believe u're not new here soo pls do d right thing at the right thread.Thanks@akaTonero: stand corrected. |
Quote from: sholasong on Yesterday at 03:58:34 PM Am actually watching the popular etv on it ( the star tv) right now@mjay: What’s the satellite, tp/sr and the dish size you used with this wonderbox? |
bayer munich v olympique de lyon live right now on Canal 3 benin on sirius 4 |
@Sir George_D: I ain’t finished with you, Sir George_D. The weather was crystal clear when we were chasing Sirius and when we hit it, the tps cmae out really good. We then worked on the lnb till the quality rose to and above 80 and that was when we went blindscanning. No channel cropped up after the blindscanning. However, the e – feed tp surfaced amongst the channels which was a plus. But, the audio and video had disappeared for all channels not withstanding the fact that they were all green. I deleted the tps from the list of tps for the satellite then fed them anew to obtain the same result. I remembered what a member had said in the forum about such a problem and then deleted the tps and used the empty satellite slot to enter the tp for Canal2 International and the channels came on with audio and video. When I scanned for the e-feed, the audio and video disappeared all over. So, over to you my oga. All other gurus plz help out on what may be happening here! |
@lovala, astra 2b is also simple as before. Use multitv tp. 12550v 19513.@Emeritus: thankx, we just landed it but CRTV was frozen and multi tv channels on audio understandably so since we were using my 4663. Infinity tv tp was and is still very red. when will the test transmission finish? |
