By the way, Hoga and i both reside in Yaounde. but, it was courtesy of this forum that we got to meet today at his place which is some 25 km north of Yaounde. we got to hitch our comon heads together. But this yielded nothing further than what he'd gotten before.

Hoga has a 3m mesh dish. With a fuji 0.3db lnb and strong SRT 4663x box, he succeeded picking up Badr 4/6 @ 26 degrees east with quality jumping as high as 65 and a level of 83. Strange to say only tps for Badr6 are coming out. One tp for badr4:11958h27500 does go green, but scanning reveals channels for tp: 11804h27500 belonging to Badr6. Well, I hope the grand masters of FTA in here can put our anxieties to rest with some solutions. Master Olufofo, Microgiant, Desjam, Butoneday, Kungu, king George_D and the all powerful Enitan can wedge in here. Thankx for your anticipated responses.

someone should help me with the steps on how to carry out a unit to unit data transfer

try these steps:
1. Look for the RS232 Null Modem cable.
2. Connect at the ports of the faulty and good decoder.
3. Leave you faulty decoder off, i.e put it off at the back of the box.
4. Put on your good decoder.
5. Enter the menu
6. Go down to Systems setting
7. In the sytems settings go to data transfer
8. Besides Firmware there is Press OK
9. Press OK
10. Follow the instructions that follow till the download process finishes.

I have a strong decoder SRT 4620II with PIN CODE forgotten,How can I break into the receiver,Ive tried all the strong master codes but no result,Also upgraded with latest patch but pin code is still there,pls any solution?

Look for that very model of strong and do a simple stb to stb data transfer and your problem will be solved. Use a null modem cable to do it. Just try it out. I had the same problem and I posted on that on this forum and no one replied. With my own case, the problem is aggravated in that the box doesn’t recognize any remote control. nilesat201 seems to be turning out a depression for those of us who thought with 1.8m our days of enjoyment were around the corner. lo and behold, even bigger dishes are having a hard time hitting it. Chei!!!!!

The problem of getting keys and the rest seems to be creating a helluva lotta problem in the house. If anyone's got a good connection speed, get down to youtube and download as many tutorials as your hard drive can take and get busy viewing them so as to ease the pain of reading. Hope this helps.

I remember I posted a problem about a strong 63 receiver that doesn’t accept signals from any remote control and which was asking for a pin code to open it after turning it on from behind. No one responded to that post. Well, I finally got the pin problem solved by serially transferring data to it from another 63 and it is now working. But, it still doesn’t accept signals from any remote control. We even changed the front panel, but the problem persists. What could be happening here and how can it be remedied?

Good people, a friend of mind who also owns a 63 gave it out to another to carry out an installation. The other guy brought it back and we realized that the box has been blocked. You can only turn it on. After that it demands for the pin code to turn it on. No remote control works with it. So, how can one now input the pin since the remote control seems useless? Second question is, what is the unblocking pin from any brother who’s gone through such problem?

DRTV based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (who nearly destroyed the hopes of the Indomitable Lions this evening) is now broadcasting fta on the tp 12439H23436 on W4/7 36 degrees East. For those who are comfortable with Lingala. It is MPEG2 DVB-S. OH TV is also on this TP but with my 4663x only the audio is gettable meaning it is broadcasting on MPEG4 DVB-S2.

@Lov4sat: hit the 6969 activation key twice successively before entering the 8280 key that opens the BISS key menu. The rest is just filling in the keys as you have them. Hope it works.

Ok then use the Video option. yours may be an old model(what make and model was it. . . it goes a long way to help)

then connect the audio out @ the back of your box to the audio input of the sound set.

I contracted someone to install "FTA" for me. I have two dishes, one for Multi-TV and the other for MyTV (l believe).
All was well until about a week ago when JOY TV (Aljazeera News, KidsTv, e.t.c ) all disappeared!
I've done a blind scam, still no JOY!
Now, l am as green as they come in these FTA thing so dont be offended if l ask some questions that seem foolish, the point is l just dont know the answer or where to find them (I will appreciate all directions)

1. I've never upgraded my Strong Decoder (4669x+), would upgrading firmware solve my problem? If YES, can someone point me to where to download this firmware (without killing my box)?

2. where can l get info on software to install on my Strong Box that can remove those "dollar sign" on some channels (I know why they are there and l know there are "walk-arounds" to remove them which not everyone knows about and for certain reasons, the "measures" cannot be posted openly).

3. What is that code (4 figure) to enter the secret menu on a Strong Box? Am not sure whether its 8282, 8269 or something else. Cant even remember how the guy went about it on that day.

Tap 8280 on your remote to open the BISS keys Menu. If it doesn’t work activate it by first tapping 6969 twice on your remote control then follow this up with the 8280. do this on the channel on which you have to input BISS keys for. Concerning Joy TV why don’t you delete the MultiTV tp and then manually input it and then scan to see if it will bring up Joy TV since this is one of the channels in their bouquet? As for getting answers towards unlocking scrambled channels, no one will give you a positive response here for the forum is dedicated to FTA – Free To Air broadcasts. You may be lucky sha, if some bobo wey know im way around fat come supply you the real deal. If you succeed, then no forget me o. Take care!

Gurus in d house salamalaku. I jst install w3a with tp 12607H29949 using 30cm dish on my 69x but after blind scan i got only 13channels they are: voxAFRICA, canal 2,3,info, bvn, stv1, occa Africa without mbc mauritius. What should i do to get mbc?

What you got there is Sirius4 which is very close to W3a and not W3a per se. That’s why you can’t have the Mauritian MBCs.
