I succeeded in tracking 3 sat
1. New dawn at 32.8e using 10975H29998 - 89%,just a little above w4/w7 at 36e- this is the primary,

2. w4/w7 at 36e using 12437H23437 - 62% directly on top of New dawn. With this 12092 H 27500 pop to 98% and

3. MultiTv at 28.2e using any of the two transpoders - 65% (it can increase than that but that this is enoigh for me) just 5 to 7 inches under New Dawn (right hand side)

All the channels pop up very strong. Yo can all try it.

Thanks for the information Iron2011.
@petfun4u:
Please Help me out. which is which? Your post is saying that you got Intelsat New Dawn above EW4/7 and at the same time that you got EW4/7 untop of New Dawn. Clarify your post!

Hello sword,
U're the man to beat. Had it been I was into electronics I'd been with you all the way. That not withstanding, I'll hang unto the lead and see where that takes me. have a great day. On the other hand, STB cards for PC are very hard to come by here in Yaounde Cameroon. I look forward to having one and then, it'll be a sure bet that we'll be on a mission. Thankx for your contribution.

''CW Finder'' ITS USE TO FIND BISS KEY OF ANY CHANNEL ENCRYPT WITH BISS KEY.
GUYS DO ANY ONE NO MORE ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE CALLED "CW FINDER"
I ALREADY IT BUT MY CHALLENGE IS HOW TO GET .ts FILE FROM MY STRONG 4669X.
ANYONE WITH SUCH IDEAL?
THKS
@Newtonn:
I don't know poo about this but some one said to record about thirty seconds of the .ts file and send to him to decrypt or get the key. So, if you can connect your decoder to any recording device say a CD/DVD burner or your PC and record the 30 secs, I guess you'll be good to go! Very much interested to see how this pans out. Tell me your story: lovala123@gmail.com

It seems as if AFNEX and Globecast are getting ready to hit Atlantic Bird 3 C-band in a big way. Do a blind scan. There are about 10 channels on Globecast all on test transmission.

@Lovala:
I once had a problem like yours hitting only 55% quality, the sat meter just nodding abit to indcate the sat. What I did was to unsrew my 90cm dish and put it on the verandah facing down. I noticed that two sides touched the verandah while two sides where in the air. I pressed it gently until the entire ream touched the verandah on all sides. When I put it back and tracked W3A the sat metre swang wildly to the right and I have been hitting 75%-80% since then.
@Lunsat :
Thankx for ur advice. Will check that method out to see if my dish is impaired.

Wt's your dish size
@Yinka4dad : 90cm

LOVALA,TRY REMOVING THE WHITE PLASTIC COVERING IN FRONT OF YOUR LNBF AND TRY ALTERNATING YOUR POLARITY H/V WHILE ON 6O'CLOCK AND LET ME KNOW YOUR RESULT.
@Ugotuf : I never knew that the cap of the lnbf could be removed. Could it also be replaced once removed ? I’ll get on it and give you the feed back. Thankx all the same, my man.

@ugotuf and the rest of the gang:

Please, I need help in hitting EW3 with a quality level of at least 75 percent while the lnb is at 6 O'clock. It is like an unattainable feat to me. In my former bode and town, I was able to hit the bird with a quality of 75 percent but with the lnb at 9 O'clock. Any one who has succeeded to hit 75 percent and above (lnb at 6 o'clock) should come to my rescue.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Fta Channels On W4/7 by lovala(m): 2:50pm On Jun 21, 2011
@thuggle:
those channels you say you receive from W2A 10E are not from that satellite. they are from EW4/7 36E.  What even give you away is the fact that you say you caught the bird with a 65cm dish. Check lyngsat for confirmation. If at all you can hit that bird, the least you'll need is a 1.8m dish. those who were eating from the freebies of Canalsat bouquet from that bird I hope, can attest to that. lovely day my man.

the IGNORE button it is from now on.
@Freshp:
Hey, wuzzup ma broda?
I just changed house and city and am still to mount the dishes and complete my test of the D: I'll fill you in once that is done. The result of my test before I left my house was negative even after following through with all instructions. But, consultations revealed that I was supposed to have skewed the lnb on W3a to vertical instead of leaving it on horizontal for the stb to start clicking and enjoyment to come raining into my palour. But, before I get going with that how come it works with the lnb placed vertically (6 O'Clock) since one picks W3a well only when the lnb is at about 9 or 3 O' clock?
Abeg respond to my box o before oga twins t come kick us out. Take care.

@all,
Recently my 3m fibre signal reception began deteriorating as the foil began peeling off. Over the weekend, I had to do a thorough maintenance job on it to restore its performance. Now it is back
and kicking strong. Re-foiling pictures have been posted in the relevant nilesat thread. BBC, Euronews, Aljazeera, CCTV, all the MBCs, MTV arabia, fox, etc are dancing once again on my screen!

CNN is btw 48 to 50% best. Looks like the weather is a contributory factor

I just dey hail you from this my end here in Yaounde. My o my. When I see how committed you are in having the best I pray I one day get to hook unto a 3m dish like yours. You just keep on inspiring us. One word: CONTINUE! You’re always my man

Guys pls help me out i was just upgrading my strong srt 4669x receiver with a flash drive from software version 1.05p to 1.30p & immediately after the upgrade was successful,the receiver refused to start up.immediately it showed successfully completed i switched it off & on from the back  but refused to startup it will only blink & go off immediately & it is not this - - - - sign that will show something like 4 digit numbers & go off.pls note that the flash drive is virus free because i am also using it to upgrade receiver only and i've upgraded my neighbour's srt 4669xii with it before i did mine all today.
@Nikuchi:
use a PC to redo the update all over and if it doesn't work then go the box to box transfer to see how it works out. Alloy the box to reboot on its own o. Don't bridge the process in any way, else na wahala u dey find fo ya sef.

@Lovala, try this on your decoder goto dish settings, then u will see the diagram of the dish and the disecq numbering; if your astra 2b is on disecq port number 1 (mind u check that on the dish menu settings i.e after Frequency, LNB Power,LNB type till u get to DISEqc 1.0 and DISEcq 1.1 now if your astra2b is on port 1 then u should set DISEcq 1.0 to 1 of 4, or if it is on port 2 then set it to 2 of 4) on that port1 go to Frequency and scroll sideways till u get 12.552 GHz(V), the signal level&quality bar should turn green. or go back to manual scan and locate astra 2b press the green button and input a working astra 2b tp and scan.After that go to dish settings again, on satellite select Siru4a, go to disecq numbering and let say u put it on port 2 (on the DISEqc1.0 bar it shoud read 2 of 4 or u set it urself)go to Frequency bar and select a working or tracking tp on sirus4a. The level & quality bar should turn green.Then go back to manual press green add tp and scan.Once done always save when u are going backwards i.e by pressing exit.Now check any of the channels that is showing.Press any astara2b channel,let say Joysport, leave it there, then press menu on the remote, go to dish settings u should see that your astra 2b is on diseqc numbered 1 or in your case the port u chose.Go back to channels and select any channel from Sirus4a and leave it there,then press menu and go to dish settings, u should notice that your sirus4a is on diseqc numbered 2 or in your case the port number u used.I assume your decoder model is strong.I hope it will help.
@ timosat

Thankx very much my bros. But, I know how to assign dishes to different ports of a disecq switch. I even have a baby thread to attest to that. Secondly, I’ve changed disecqs with the same results. What I am suspecting could be the software that was used to up date the decoder and was hoping to get a confirmation that a new update with a different software may solve the problem. He got the decoder already updated to the January 2011 Middle East MYTV version. If there is any one who’s experienced what is in that post, let him tell me how he got out of it. Respects! I would like to try out t he most recent April 2011 version to see how it pans out tomorrow. Will get back with the results soon as I’m done. Take care y’all.

@All:
Please, help out here!
A friend just got a 4669ii here. I helped him installed Astr2b and Sirius 4a for him, then linked both dishes to the decoder using a disecq switch. The problem is that, no matter the ports I used for the two dishes and even after changing from one disecq to another the result is that when I change from the astra2b tps to the Sirius4a tp, the channels on the Sirius tp will play. But when I swing back to the astra2b tp, all the channels on it go red. If I turn of the decoder the  and turn it back on while the last channel watched was on the astra2b tp, all the channels will show. Please, what really is going on here and how can it be remedied? The software from system info is the January 2011 version for MYTV ME. Waiting for your intervention.

@lovala note that EATV, CAPITAL, ITV are changing their frequency to 3643v8545
@eltonluigi: Thank, but do you receive Intelsat902? How many channels are fta?
you can get them on Intelsat 906 @64 east,currently on tp3644h8545
Noted.

@All:
It seems as if the east and South of our continent are in the good books of fta. Most often at the end of the day, we end up chasing shadows after it is declared that goodies are up for grabs in those regions. We are left to salivate and … just swallow spit! Before, it was Galaxy11 or Intelsat802. Now it is NSS12. Just too baaaaaad!

Gonna take to your councels. I’ll get back to you sonnest. However, I’d like to know from you Oga George and any guru how many channels that comes out of Intelsat 902 – C. I could get only Citizen tv of Kenya as fta and three encrypted AFN channels. NTV Uganda according to Lyngsat is supposed to be fta but, it is refusing to come out. Waiting to read from you guys.

@George_D and others who’ve made good use of C-band lnbfs:

Please, I need help here:
I finally got my 1.8m pan dish up and running using my stb 4669xii. But, with the Strong K-5 lnbf, I succeeded in hooking on to just Intelsat 902 (only Citizen tv came up, NTV Uganda tp is totally red and the AFN mux was green but dollared); Intelsat7/10 with many pakistani and indian, Japanese channels, al Jazeera, CCTVNews, but the Kenyan mux tp was red because the highest quality was 67; and finally NSS7 in which I could get these Arabic frequencies, spains public tv, tv algerie and gabon were always red and if I changed the position of the dielectric I could pick just CNN alone and the afore mentioned channels remained red.
I don't have any mobile station mast around me but these were all I could pick with the strong lnbf.
Well, king George_D did mention that Supermax Extended C-band lnbf is the real deal when it comes to good C-band lnbfs. I’ve got it and would like to get going with it. However, I’d like to know what I’m supposed to do with the black tape that came along in the plastic bag containing the screws and also the tips on the skew of the lnbf to best pick up signals.
‘preciate your contributions.
Lovala.

That's the way to go my friend. No internet conectivity required with this boxes. From the original model from germany 2 years ag0 which cost 500$ today we have chinnese models which cost less than 100$. All that you do is connect to 2 sats. That you. Want to open and there you. Have it. All the $ channels are yours for the choosing. The chinnese models are clones goin under difernt names, (birds names like eagle, hawk, robin, crow, etc) and they are doing the job.

@George, Pito, enigma, kungu, olofofo and other gurus:

Has anyone used the BISCO Digital Cable Receiver? I saw one at my cousins place and the way it functions is that the analogue signals from cable distributors which is supposed to be connected to the rf entry of the tv is instead connected to the BISCO box such that about 200 channel are opened instead of the around 50 channels which would have been watchable. I don’t know if this box is a dongle since I ain’t into dongles yet. I’ve searched the ‘net to no avail for info about this box ‘cos I’d love to have it. The cable operators here sell them only to their clients who pay a monthly fee for their subscription cards to remain active. If any one has any info on this box, please help me out with it. Secondly, I don’t know if that is how the mc b works. No Internet connectivity required.
