Oh Dearie me! shocked  My! My! Huccy huh, it seems you are getting your panties in a bunch, i do remember saying this earlier on, at the start of this thread, and i quote;

Win or lose on sunday, it will be just one game Won or Lost, and 3 points dropped!!

If we WIN does that mean Man U are finished for the season, NO, if we lose does that do any harm to us, other than making it even more unbearable to listen to the constant S@#T coming out of the Manc camp, I WOULD THINK NOT.

And i still stand by that statement, i also remember saying that if we lost, i would be the first to raise my hat off to Man united and their supporters, i also wish you Manyoo Devils would do the same if the situation was the reverse (Huc i think you better start getting in some "kiss ass" practice, cause thats what your gonna be doing on monday, KISSING ALL OUR ASSES. Ok peeps grin Enough of all the horse trading and posturing!!

I decided to wait until i watched both United and Arsenals CL games, before contributing my thoughts again on what will hopefully be a cracker of a match, (immediately following another cracker in Pool vs Chelski grin).

Now with uncertainty hanging over Kolo and Th14, we really look like being in the s@#t on Sunday. Missing Titi can be dealt with, i actually feel right now we even play far better with him not being around as it is clear he is still not on form (however his mere presence on the pitch does a lot to instill confidence in our lads, so its a true "Catch 22" situation)

Now defence wise, we have a dilenma, frankly my defence would be

Eboue     Kolo     Gallas     Flamini

i don't think either Hoyte or Djourou can do a job for us, although if Kolo is not available then a Djourou/Gallas partnership is manageable ( i think Lehman has to take control of that defence like he did last year ) one major thing, if Eboue decides per adventure to overlap, he better make sure he doesn't chicken out when he gets behind their defence, (which he will do) and becomes more desicive.

The defence pairing above should be able to handle Shrek (Ronney) and Twinkle Toes (Ronaldo), where we might/will have a problem is with Louis, Abdominable Snow Man (scholesy) and the deceptive Baby Face Assasin (Ole), seeing that Pretty boy (Giggsy) and Ji Parky will both be unavoidably absent.

Now this game will be won or lost in the midfield, and that is where we have a dilenma on our hand on who to play. Personally i would prefer a 4-4-2 formation, witha midfield of

Walcott   Gilberto   Fabregas    Rosicky

This Midfield has pace/directiveness written all over it, on the flanks will be two runners to give their Defence something to think about, and we do know that Le Prof, will now actually unleash Dumplings (Rosicky) and we will now finally see more shots outside the 18 (Arsenal's success is based on pace, skill and movement, and this midfield has all 3 qualities) Berti should be able to shepard the Million Dollar Man (Carrick), Flecther and Snow Man, but Fabo will have to also help out with defensive duties. (the beast and helb can come in later if we need to slow the game down, or Playboy Model (Freddie), if we need grit and steel) for once in a long time we are spoiled for choice.

Up front, sorry Gonners but i would go for

RVP and Kanu 2

with TH14 coming in in the second half to just add more spice if need be.

All in all, like i said, this game will be won or lost in the Midfield, we need to take our chances, cause if we don't Man United will skin us, the ironic and good exception being; Manyoo will actually allow us play our game (counter attacking footie) as they will attack us as well. i expect some luck or silly mistake to play their part in the outcome, (Somehow this has "a draw" written all over this fixture sad, anyway i would take that)

But do not be decieved, even though we are underr dogs, we can actually go to OT and get a win, Man utd in the last few weeks have dropped their cautious game and are attacking teams hard but they have had to sacrafice some defensive stability as well. This is why I feel we might have a chance because our players who are failing right now may have a lot more space infront of them to play with which makes it easier for them.

All in all It is gonna be damn hard and there is a good chance of us losing but I wouldn't rule us out just yet, they will attack us and leave themselves open and we have to seize our moments. If we do that, or even score first and make them chase the game, then i see us coming out with a win (close game, but Arsenal on top)

Prediction 2-1 to the ARSENAL

"BRING SUNDAY ON" i say cool

Hey Gonners!! here

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3341-2355380,00.html

I really do not know what is wrong with this boy, but the whole thing makes for an interesting read (its nice to get a behind the scene look at events, especially the INFAMOUS PIZZAGATE AFFAIR!! i am still in laughing my head off at that one, wish i was there to see the actual look on Fergie's face shocked)

I didn't want to get the book at first, buit on second thoughts, i guess it will be a good read, so why not. I JUST WISH COLE WILL JUST STOP TIMES FROM GIVING US PORTIONS AND JUST RELEASE THE DAMN BOOK AND GET IT OVER AND DONE WITH, CAUSE IT AIN'T DOING HIS REP ANY GOOD IN THE LONG RUN tongue

As for the game tonight, we should be fine, we were fine against D Zagreb, we will be fine against Hamburg (although we should not take them for granted, see what happened to INTER with all their stars huh) I also believe Titi not playing will also be good for the boys, as they will now settle down, and relax. Expect to see more shooting from outside the box, as we decide against the "perfect ball" senario, that our captain forces the boys to play. This is where Franky Ribery would have been great for Arsenal, he looks like a player that will just ignore Le Capitan and play instinctively, (Robin was like that, but i guess he has been indoctrinated or the TH14 infamous stare has given him the Hebby Jebbies!! sad)

All in all we should be fine 2-0 to the Arsenal tonight.

The fear of United is the beginning of wisdom.
Don't forget United will have Wazza(Rooney) and Scholesy available against Arsenal.
The last team Arsenal want to meet now is Man Utd because it will be a basket of goals.

Ferguson has picked up Barclays manager of the month and Giggsy clinched Barclays player of the month.
Solskjaer and Smith might also be given a run come next weekend.
The Gunners are in trouble. grin

And please if we do not see the basket of goals, and the game ends up as a draw, feel free to come back to this thread and eat humble pie, you promised 2 goals against the SPUDS you got away with 1, (What matters at the end of the day is points!)

Simple statement here, as i will give my main rant on the Reds vs Gonners thread that some thought was a brilliant excuse for a laugh.

Now my fellow Gonners, let everyone just bear the laughters and taunts, please even encourage others to have a good laugh, cause to be honest none of us can recognise the team that has played those three matches. We deserve to be where we are on the league table, no excuses (if we can't kill off teams like Villa, Boro and Man City, where we have 85% of the possesion, then we are not ready for this season!?) as Sean Connery said " you do not come for a gun fight with a knife (blunted for that matter!!). yes it hurts, and its good that it hurts, and that the team and coach recognise it hurts, but guess what, it is better we have the worst start ever under Wenger and he solves the problem and we get some consistency as the games go on, than win your early games and lose the plot in the middle of the season.

I want my team to be ashamed of where we are on the table, that is the only way they will push themselves up, and grow some F@#King BALLS!!, we are rock bottom Gonners, but guess what: THE ONLY WAY IS UP!! And i will be damned if my team doesn't give those suckers at the top a run for their money. WE ARE THE ARSENAL, F@#K WHAT ELSE ANYONE THINKS.

Everyone else please do enjoy your selves and have a laugh, it is your right to do so (talk about kicking a man when he is down!? cry) We deserve to be laughed at, but just remember this, if your respective teams hit a bad patch (as they surely will do), please be honourable enough to sit back and enjoy the tauntings as well, fair is fair!!

Its your time today, hope you are gracious when it becomes our time to hit form.

SportsRe: Gallas To Sue Chelsea! by loyika(m): 3:33pm On Sep 11, 2006
Goodday everyone, decided to be far more patient and read everyone's opinions on issues before i make my points.

Now starting with this thread,

Jackal sorry correction, only one club is having problems with this at the moment and it ain't Arsenal, if you see the statements from Gallas on the official website, it is obvious Le Prof has told him to keep quiet and let his football on the pitch do the talking for him. Which i feel is spot on, as we have bigger fishes to fry than a stupid spat with chelsea that does more harm to football than good (What next for God's sake, players lining up to draw straws on whether they believe Gallas is capable of that or not), cause if taken any further could lead to investiugations being carried out, which i don't believe Chelsea want. (Its just a case of speaking before you think, which every club can be guilty of sometimes tongue)

Secondly i somewhat agree with your analysis of the Siege Mentality of Chelsea, but i think that Maureen just thrives on controvesy, he is from the school of "NO NEWS EQUALS BAD NEWS!?" so he just has to make sure Chelsea grab the headlines even when they do not need to, i.e. his continous quotes, comments and school boy behaviour all lead to someone that loves to be in the spot light like an Oscar winner. (give him his due, he is one heck of a coach and pushes Fergie in the Task Master stakes) Anyway Age and more experience will calm him down, or else we will have another Arragoness on our hands, and believe me Maureen will be far more brutal and comical, (the "Slave" comment during the Makalele issue is a classic example).

Generally this whole thing will die a natural death (quicker if Ashley Cole just decides to shut the F@#K UP!? tongue) until both clubs play their home and away matches, then the media will do what they normally do, hype it up to build tension btw the two clubs ahead of the games (as if both clubs needed a reason to go at each others throat on the footie pitch huh)

I am done here, now over to the next thread on the apparent delusion that Man United will destroy Arsenal on sunday (if you destroy us like you apparently destroyed The Spuds!! I AM QUAKING IN MY BOOTS!!)

HELL TO THE NO!! HE DIDN'T shocked

Ronaldinho says Werder Bremen and not Chelsea are Barcelona's main rivals in their Champions League group. "The hype surrounding Chelsea takes my breath away," said the Brazilian. (Express)

Well the replay is in november 2007, by that time Italy might be out of range for qualification for the Euros, so Mr Hustler don't hold your breathe, cause the Azzuris still have a long way to go, they are 5 points behind France and Scotland, and the last time i checked only the Top 2 qualify. But like i said LONG WAY TO GO.

Now that the "Prof." has bought Gallas, what happens to Eboue? huh

Another young player development? huh

I remember 1996 when Beckham was just coming out, Fergie had to sacrifice Poborsky in order to allow Becksy to grow.

Poborsky was a hot property @ Euro 96 but Sir Fergie wouldn't allow Pob's profile to stunt the growth of Beckham.

That is the work of a committed DEVELOPER! wink
WHAT HAPPENS TO SENDEROS cheesy, BALONI, NOT EBOUE, SENDEROS!! EBOUE IS RIGHTBACK, GALLAS IS CENTERBACK, even if he is versitile to play anywhere in Defence!!

With all the negative press, WILL HE ACTUALLY SURVIVE IN THE EPL FOR MUCH LONGER!!

http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2006/09/06/when_mourinho_slings_mud_footb.html

He is really walking a very thin line and might just get so frustrated at the lack of respect he feels he is not getting (and doesn't deserve i might add!!) from the British Press (remember he even stated that he almost walked away from the club at the end of the season (even if Peter Kenyon, tried to cover up, saying it was never the case tongue).

The final straw is when he starts directing comments to the press, Believe me when i say this MAUREEN'S CAREER WILL BE TORN TO SHREDS AND HE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE BECAUSE OF SAFETY FOR HIS FAMILY, CAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW, THE PRESS IN BRITAIN IS THE MOST VICIOUS PRESS THERE IS IN THE WORLD, (so many careers lie in ruin due to their rantings) so MAUREEN should be very careful the path he and CHELSKI are taking, cause i bet Roman has some skeleton's in the cupboard he doesn't want for public consumption!? huh

Jackal and co!

Time will tell indeed. As much as we all have opinions and predictions based on current form, history, what ever you all chose to site as reasons Arsenal will fall, Football is played on the pitch and it's there we will see if all the predictions and bluffing will come to pass

What i can say is, with all the sub plots manifesting itself in the EPL, this season is promising to be quite different and interesting. And i strongly believe it will be very close, going down to the wire (believe me every team is going to experience both good and bad run of form somewhere along the line, so expect some tense moments!!)

So hold on to your seats everyone. Jackal just focus on the SPUDS on sunday and leave the Gonner's bridge till you come to it (cause despite what you think, Spurs do have the Arsenal to beat United, HISTORY OR NOT!!)
