Dirty politics! No intellectualism in what this man blew. No principle guiding their speech or behavior whatsoever. It is dog eat dog for this people. This country is in absolute mess!

I hope we realize how bad it is and make changes where needed otherwise we are going decades backward.

I find it appalling building any religious house with state/tax payer money, be it mosque or church.

Religious house don't generate money to government pocket

True, but what about the refineries they spent billions upon billions renovating but never producing? Research on the amount spent to renovate refineries from Jonathan’s time till buhari’s tenure ended, and tell me how much they generated?

That cathedral can generate some monies that can assist orphanage homes and communities. I bet some of the funds here would be used for charity unlike the oil money that returns no money to Nigerians!

I’m not defending whoever built it or with what money it was built but realistically, it will be better utilized for the public than our public assets solely controlled by government like refineries that refines nothing.

How can you convince me to jettison my culture, values and customs? That what makes me who I am. That is our identity. Ọmọluabi.
I learned English language but do not think in English. I don't wake up and be thinking of pizza or hotdog. I think amala, ewedu. No matter what enlightenment one has in Yoruba, we prefer our Aṣọ Oke, Aṣọ ebi, owambe.

So, the new normal is not our culture.

Ọmọluabi, if you don't know, conduct yourself well in every situation. In that you don't get humiliation.
If the fellow breeches the rule, you, an outsider can commend him. We will not.
Never.

I am proudly yoruba.

I’m completely at sea about what you saying. You missed the whole point I was trying to call your attention to but it’s fine. We shall be fine

I don't think it is .

I know it is.

Do know the meaning of ọmọluabi?

No tribe is lower or higher than any other. Anything that exalts tribalism/hatred or religiosity over humanity does not deserve a second place or any attention for that matter.

So I’m trying to let you know that you are first human before tribe so jettison the tribe issue. Every tribe has omoluabi, they just may not use the language omoluabi!

Career / Re: What Are The Disadavantages Of Studying Medicine At Age 29 by luckyz4rea(m): 5:27pm On Dec 28, 2023
Jackanda1:
After trying medicine 3 times. I had to settle for a science course. I'm currently done with my first degree, NYSC and doing a little job by the side.

The thing is, i want to go back to medical school. I have a burning desire to study medicine, i dream about it everyday and would be rather unfulfilled if i don't study medicine.

The questions i have are:

1. I intend to start my study in my late 20s. Hopefully 28,29,or at 30years old.

2. What are the disadvantages of studying medicine and graduating in my late 30s.?

3. How is employment at that age?

What are the difficulties i should expect?

Be brutally honest. Thanks

cc: Lagusta bcomputer101

If you have passion for it as you said, no disadvantages is worthy of distracting you from going for what you really want to do. I’m sure you don’t wanna live in regret later so go for it no matter what it cost as long as it’s your passion!

No, I don’t but it can be gotten from the open market. Either in pods or measured i in small paint bucket but u need to check the seeds to make sure is a viable seed and also if buying the pod open before payment to confirm the seeds because the first pods I got 2 out of 5 were completely damaged. The darker seedlings are more viable compared to the white brighter ones..

Thank you for this. Have an idea the price per pod? Does the size determine the price?

Just sold my third bed excess pumpkin yesterday. Sold 2 last month. And they're growing back already. Never planned it. Was just too much for me to consume alone and someone came to buy it. The way the lady has been pestering me is making me consider doing serious commercial dry season farming for it next year.

Do you have more seeds to sell?

Following the tread of my agronomist friend Esude007, I was able to convert a small space in my compound into 2 seedbed of ugu at spacing of 20m by 30m. I planted 250 seeds per bed, i use organic manure from cow and poultry, the result from soil test showed that the soil is deficient in organic matter, nitrogen and the soil ph is acidic. To stabilize the ph, I had to apply lime. Acidic soil prevent nutrient movement to the plant.

Who did the soul test for you please or how may I go about it?

You shouldn't have bothered replying that person

He is just a pessimist
He sees things from the wrong side of life

Don't be surprised that's how his life is ordered

Seeing negativity only is not a good omen
It's a very bad trajectory in Life

Well, we that see from such perspective when people speak that way, should point them to the better side of things they may not be seeing. I could have been quiet but some people need to be encouraged.

I actually want to do ugu production this dry season and it is way larger in size than what the guy posted so I felt encouraged, but I also have to encourage someone else by stopping this guy in his track about the wrong picture of herdsmen’s operation where they don’t exist.

You are just indenial until Fulani herdsmen invade your area. Alota Naigerians were also indenial until the herdsmen invaded their villages.

Do you know where I live? How many people here came out to say their lands were invaded in the last four months?

Speak based on statistics not social media talks. Lots of farmers are harvesting. I’ve seen a lot being transported. You are talking of denial but you have no statistics to back your claims!

Yes! Herdsmen are in operation but they are not as it is painted.

The guy that posted the Ugu land preparation, if his place can be invaded by herdsmen, do you think he’ll risk planting?

Please don’t paint my dear country in a bad light whether you are here or abroad.

Is the seat for a deity or a human that another human can’t sit on it? What has happened to us that is reducing our humanity by the day?

What happens to the seat when the king (man) doesn’t sit on it? Do you know how many people sit there when the king isn’t there? The king must have offered him his seat and Nigerians are asking if it’s appropriate?

Why do we think this way in this part of the world? What does it change about the king’s personality who sits on his chair? Should this even ever arise as a matter to give attention not to talk of posting? 🤦‍♂️

So be it.

So, God has told you the day you will die? Wow!

OP, did he actually say, "I will...."? Or, he said, "I wish" or "I will like to ..."?

Or, did you twist the headline to make the post sensational? The weblink shows, "I do like to...", and it is different from, "I will ...". Those religious leaders are ridiculous but it is totally wrong for you to lie against them. Stop twisting their statements.

They do it to almost every other person. They survive on twisting stories to make fascinating headlines. That is how cruel the world is becoming just because we want to eke out a living. Sad!!!

The process of the 2023 general elections and the court judgements are pure evidences that we have been taken backwards at least by 2 decades!

If the head is faulty, no matter how good the body, every other thing will just begin to crumble because of the head.

NANS election is witnessing one of its worse phase since inception and the antecedent was set by the outcome of the general elections!

The correction of the anomalies in our electioneering body, the flamboyant and embezzling behavior of the executive and the legislative, also now prominent as well of the judiciary, can only be done by Nigerians, and that is when we have had enough otherwise it may be business as usual for more decades to come!

Celebrities / Re: Church Is The Worst Place To Marry, You Deceived The Guy” – Isreal Dmw’s Friend by luckyz4rea(m): 2:25pm On Nov 27, 2023
immortalcrown:
You guys should learn to be factual. Learn to make claims you can factually prove. The church will be the worst place to marry if what happened to Israel has never happened to any man that married from outside the church.

I am not defending the church. But your judgement here is very illogical. There are bad people in the church, there are also bad people outside the church. Whoever cannot choose a good wife from the church cannot choose a good wife from outside the church. Whoever is able to pick a good wife from outside the church can as well pick a good wife from the church.

Let him continue the blame game rather than looking inward. He is not talking about his role in the failure of his marriage, instead he is calling attention to his wife and the church thinking that would distract people from his role in the whole of this.

He’s responsible for the success or failure of his marriage whether he blames anyone or not. The choice he made landed him where he is today, and what motivated his choice no one knows!

If you end up with a good person leading to good relationship, there’s 99% assurance you are also a good person!

Marriage shouldn’t be about love alone cause that in itself can’t sustain it because there will come a time the love will fade but the covenant/contract made if it was really made, should keep the union together.

.
Three things might happen here..

1. The INEC might set their own office on fire and blame these LP people,, just because this protest happened.. And they won't release any documents again.
(So, I call on the LP Guys to be very very careful and cautious at this critical point in time. Let them be very very civil in this very approach)

2. The INEC will most-likely not give the LP guys all the documents they requested for,, especially the BVAS reports.. Their reasons might range from a lot of things,, INCLUDING SYNCHRONIZATION.. And when the LP guys would come back again for it, the whole delay tactics would start all over again, and they may still not get it.
(If this dares to happen,, then the LP Guys should immediately seek alternative sources for this data immediately,, which might include the IREV-Portal.. Let them no dull ooo.)

3. Olanipekun might be the one they employed to be the lead Councel for Uzodinma.. I have started seeing all those tricks again, which are very similar to his doings..
..

Which court will they take these documents to?
You guys still believe in the frauduciary?
