We all know Jesus was a Jew and should have had an Hebrew name. Yeshua was that name, as we all know Israel was a Roman colony during the time of Yeshua. In Greek writing the name "Yeshua" was transliterated as Iesous. which was copied in Latin as Iesus with a different pronunciation from Iesous. The English word "Jesus"-Jeez-or-s was derived from the Latin "Iesus". In Hebrew "Yeshua" means "to deliver" or "to help".
Another name error in the English Bible was "Joshua" whose name is really pronounced "Yehoshua" in Hebrew, meaning "to cry for help". Written in Latin as "Ieosoua" and then Joshua in English. In that sense shouldn't Jesus be Jeshua instead? Or even his original name should have been retained. If people could have corrupted his name as such, how much corruptions about the story of his life has been made?

According to some historians, the name Iesous was used to refer to both Joshua and Jesus in books of Greek language which the Romans spoke.

Note: The name "Iesous" has certain acute symbols(which my keypad doesn't have) for appropriate pronunciation.

Truth be told. Angels are messengers nothing more, kinda like Irunmole in Yoruba. according to christianity: Jesus is placed over them all, but he still performs angelic duties. The singular fact that "angel" means messenger, anyone sent to perform a duty proves that Jesus is an angel. Calling him an angel doesn't downgrade his supposed status. So Jesus is the strongest angel

okeyxyz: That's because, knowing what I know now; I've come to realize that all religions, spirituality and God-consciousness are derived from the true christian doctrine(I don't mean conventional christianity). Every religion or God-consciousness is a shadowy imitation of christianity. It doesn't matter whether these religions came before or after christianity. They all see christ principle, they know it works and rules the universe but they do not understand this christ principle, so they are all groping in the dark to find the best fit to this christ doctrine. Like I said before; it doesn't matter that your religion came before christianity, it is still derived from christian doctrine, just like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, david, Moses, etc(even the law of Moses), saw the promise/vision of christ thousands of years before christ eventually appeared on earth, so their faith is based on christ even though their religion/belief system was not christian. So it is with Islam, paganism, occult doctrines, etc, these are all trying to get a best fit to that vision/principle of christ that they see but do not understand, and all they can do is speculate and dogmatize. So without christianity, no religion would even exist in the first place. Just like without the substance, the shadow will not exist.

So without christ, atheism would be the only thing that makes sense.

A king that doesn't have subjects, going by ur Bible satan(which doesn't and has never existed) is the king of the world. Jesus was a good man, pure and a son of God but we are all sons of God. I don't think u have to worship him to get to heaven, why not may that homage to ur traditional ruler(oba of Benin, as I read). ur religion also portrays God as a consuming fire? wat does he consume? Christianity makes God look like a weak being, an evil being pretending to be good. And I knw that's not true about my God, I believe God is the same in all religions but the way ur religion portrays him is downgrading. How can a little, worthless angel in his presence rebel against him and he just sits on a throne waiting for when he feels like it, before punishing the rebel and exposes humans to such threat and says "because u have disobeyed me, u shall go to hell unless u believe in my son Jesus Christ" it's only a fool that would buy that story of Satan existence. God himself gave us free will to do as we like, but we must keep in mind his wishes to make the world a Better place, everyone has his destiny and that destiny has been chosen by that person himself in the authority of God. So it's left to u to follow ur destiny and give to the world what u have promised. How free will makes it possible to go against God especially since we have no vivid memory of what our destiny is when we are born. Love God, love ur neighbour, love urself are the most important things in life. Good and evil only exist when we love ourselves too much to love God and our neighbours making it impossible to give to the world. Temptations come to test ur ability to balance out good and evil. They both exist for each other. when u do bad ur conscience will judge first before u die and go for any judgement in heaven. ur conscience knows what u most do and how to do it best, but we as humans are torn between two sides-good and evil. Evil being anything that isn't good eg. stealing, killing, adultery, etc. which are sin. We would definitely sin as humans not because we are Adams children but because we have free will.

u must be an uneducated fellow. Paganism was derived from the word pagan-meaning villager. It doesn't mean polytheism, it means indigenous, so whether ur paganic religion believes in one God or several gods it only means monotheistic and polytheistic, Not non-pagan and pagan. judaism is a paganic religion. don't try to distort English definitions to take Christianity away from it's paganic origin. Even now Judaism is a form of christianity in other words jewish paganism is a form of christianity. Even in catholicism Roman paganism still shows, with their use of idols.

Ihedinobi: That's better! Inheriting a nature prone to sin is not a punishment or act of judgment of any sort. We inherit what we do because of our pedigree. There would be no human being if there wasn't a first human being from whom all human beings derived. It's simply a law of nature. Adam is our father, thus we are derivations of him. We are what we are because he was what he was. That is not God's judgment, it is just how nature operates.

Now, God's Own Judgment is that no one should die simply because Adam made some stupid decision ages ago. He offers instead to fix our "defective" gene so that we can be free ti do good and not sin anymore and thus earn the condemnation due to sin. That, not our derived moral nature, is His Judgment.

nobody inherited sin from anyone, and Adam might be ur father but not mine. Sin is caused through our free will and not any inheritance.
