Romance › Re: I Unintentionally Exposed My Girlfriend by madridsta007(m): 1:21pm On Jan 14, 2020 |
soobaba: Hi guys, So I'll be very direct and summarize this as possible. But please bear with me if I get carried away...
I've been been dating my girlfriend for a year now and we are very serious and I'm even considering proposing to her, but we are not based in the same town.
So I called her with another number last night, she couldn't recognize my voice cause I sounded different, so I decided to play around cause we gist and make fun of each other a lot. So I acted like I was someone who got her number and is trying to toast her.
She asked who was speaking and I said Victor, that I got her number when I saw her in the bank, we were on the same queue, so I copied her number from her teller, she laughed and all, so after all the lines I poured out, she was just laughing and flowing along, so I asked if we could see that night, but she said it was late but I had to persuade her, so she agreed that I instead come to her place to see her. "This is someone she hasn't met before and she agreed for him to come see her at her place, in the night for that matter".
So I asked for her address and she gave out her real address, asked if she has a boyfriend and she said yes but we ain't in the same town. I got upset and had to open up and ask why she's cheating on her guy? At this point she was mute and ended the call. I called back but she didn't answer anymore.
So I just dropped a message on WhatsApp that I was disappointed.
Her reply was devastating: she wrote; "keep your disappointment in your pocket. Don't even get me more angry. Just do yourself a favor by not ever mentioning me in your mouth again. Remove everything that has to do with me in your phone and life. Rubbish. No be only disappointment. Grow up. Comot for my front make I see road jor..."
I haven't replied her yet, don't even know what to say to her right now, thought about calling her but my brother told me not to, that I should just free her. Please guys what should I do?
Moderator please help me move this to front page... It isn't even her action that riles me up. It is her response to it when faced with the evidence. A responsible lady would apologise and prove that she is sorry. Her response has arrogance, childishness and self-centeredness wedged into it. I hope you flee from her as she has advised. A lady can only send you that sort of message if she does not feel any pain or worry about loosing you. She is probably dating two or more of you. My advise to you is the advise she gave you: Remove everything that has to do with me in your phone and life. Rubbish. If you dont do this, then we here are sorry for you. |

Citizenshelm: The Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman has assured Nigerians of 18-hour electricity supply daily once the country hits 7,000 megawatts power generation and distribution.
Mamman stated that the country would hit 7,000MW power generation target by the end of 2020.
However, he explained that sufficient electricity for everyone could be elusive until the nation hits 11,000MW power distribution.
“On the part of government, we are trying to improve through the expansion and I said by the end of the year, we will get 7,000 megawatts.
“By the time we get that, we may get 18-hour power supply daily and by the time it is 11,000 megawatts, everybody will have sufficient power,” Daily Trust quoted Mamman as saying recently.
Weighing in on the proposed hike in electricity tariffs, the power minister said that it was in honouring agreements entered into between the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and the distribution companies during privatisation.
“It’s no longer in the hands of government because 60 per cent is in the hands of the private sector but we regulate the sector.
We just have to ensure it is standardised like other countries. We are inviting investors to come but if we don’t do that (get real tariff), they will not come but I believe we cannot go out of the standard,” the minister said.

BeachLife: Is there a possibility of revisiting the Bakassi case? All lands are valuable, and that land is a valuable piece of Calabar(Akwacross). In this day and age where countries like Singapore and the likes are doing all they can to reclaim hectares of land from the ocean and rivers, why should Nigeria so easily forfeit that land to Cameroon? And now that peninsular actually falls under the now secessionist Ambazonia . And in fact,I just discovered there's a Bakassi secessionist movement either from Cameroon or Ambazonia (if successful) . All street and town names on the island are Calabarian names ,plus a few other historical artifacts and events . The judgement surrounding the forfeiture of the land to Cameroon remains sketchy . Do you think there may be a possibility of ever retrieving Bakassi based on factual and reasonable evidence ? I think it can be retrieved, though It remains to be seen. Not through any legal means or by international law. Nigeria and Nigerians should forget about it. |

streetsoldier1: I tried all I could to save face, just have to end it all after discovering that the single mother I married still contacts her ex regularly...
Despite forgiving her several errors even while we got engaged, she still has the guts under my roof to mess up.
Warning guys, never ever marry a single mother that has been messed up!!! 6 years was messed up!!! There are two kind of persons that, if you do not want to fool yourself, you should generally stay away from as a bachelor; 1. Single Mothers. 2. Girls raised by Single-Mothers. Unless the Holy Spirit has convicted them and they are given into God's plan for marriage, these ones are so independently-minded that yourself and/or the relationship is just a convenient afterthought for them. The single-mother invests her time and care into her child, unless you quickly have children with her. The lady raised by a single mother sees single-motherhood as normalised part of adulthood; she will dump you halfway, opt to be alone after every small quarrel because that is what she has seen as normal in her growing up. Single mothers are usually honest. They will tell you, “my child comes first”. You will go into the relationship thinking less about what that means. Lol, by the time she shows you what she means, you’ll be complaining. But hey, she warned you. Generally, these are the issues one faces dating these two classes of individuals. And it is not their fault. The system which they have seen as normal is to be blamed. There are the outliers though, but they are few and far between. Hence the first condition I mentioned. However, this is now your wife. Divorce is never the answer. |

Staro: The Northern Youths Council of Nigeria on Thursday kicked against the formation of ‘Operation Amotekun’ in the Southwest geopolitical zone of the country.
According to the NYCN, the security outfit inaugurated in Ibadan on Thursday is the “military wing” of the Oodua Peoples Congress.
It added that the newly established security outfit is in the league of the proscribed Independent Peoples of Biafra.
National President of NYCN, Alhaji Isah Abubakar, in a statement issued in Kaduna, urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), not to allow what he described as “unconstitutionality” to prevail.
Abubakar said, “Amotekun Group in Southwest is OPC Military wing in disguise and in the same league with the proscribed IPOB. The President must not allow this unconstitutionality to prevail.
“The Southwest Governors must desist from backing nefarious groups such as this one.
“Amotekun is a threat to peace and national security and an attempt to jeorpadize Nigeria’s sovereignty.
“Amotekun is no different from Boko Haram and IPOB Movement in their formative stages.
“Nigerian Police, DSS and Army shouldn’t take this lightly with the governors of Southwest.
“The National Security Adviser should promptly take steps that will avert the looming threat to our national security that is about to be threatened by Southwest governors, OPC and others,” Abubakar said.

Romance › Re: My Ten Year Struggle With Sex Addiction Is Ruining me. by madridsta007(m): 10:02pm On Jan 09, 2020 |
Roadtorecovery: Good evening everyone.
I have struggled with sex addiction for the past 10 years with out permanent success especially with regards to visiting and sleeping with prostitutes and keeping my mind off sex. Presently I cant seem to keep my mind of sex and focus on my life and career.
I have a good Job and a beautiful damsel whom i have promised marriage and I am afraid I might loose any if not both of this if I don't stop, think and act NOW.
Since is a habit I learnt over time, how do I unlearn this habit permanently.
Please has anyone been able to get over sex addiction successfully.
My recent relapse after 10 months of celibacy threw me off balance and presently I have lost touch with God, friends and family because of this demeaning lifestyle.
Today after 2 weeks of relapse and wallowing in self pity, I have decided to restart all over again with strong determination to take into consideration the lesson learnt from my last relapse as I plan to adopt a better approach to ensure I conquer this habit.
I have spoken with one of spiritual director who understands sex addiction above my expectations and he is very supportive.
I have also opened up to my younger Cousin brother who also understands what it feels to suffer addiction.
I also confessed to my lady about my relapse and strong determination to quit and she is helpful and supportive but with the condition that she may not cope if I should suffer another relapse.
My addiction and its resultant consequences have made close family and friends loose their respect and confidence in me.
Above all, i feel so separated by God who have done so much for me .
I want to pick my self up and fight because of
1.God 2.Myself 3. Family 4. My girl friend
At this point I need all the help I can get to snatch out my life out of satanic bait to ruin me forever
Any professional here can please save a frustrated brother. I have not give up. Sex is that powerful because there is powerful spirit behind it; that is why, after a while, a husband and a wife begin to look like themselves, behave like themselves. Sex is powerful, hence when you engage in immorality, it is very difficult to stop. The fact that you have had a number of sexual partners, tens of them probably or hundreds, persons who have had their own hundreds of sexual partners, those partners have had theirs as well. Essentially, you are in a close-knitted web. Spiritually, the Bible tells us that merely having sex with a woman means that, spiritually, you are married to that woman. This is why it it very difficult to stop, come out from because you are essentially trying to come out of tens or hundreds of "marriage". Hence the instruction, "to flee". But you have started well, which is admitting that there is a problem. 2. You need to go for a serious deliverance session, where 3. It would be followed with teaching and Bible-based instructions. I can give a recommendation here. If you want to. 4. Adhere to those instructions and work out what you are taught by Faith. 5. Stay of ANY form of immorality, even with the lady you want to get married to. Even kissing. As long as you are not married, you are not married. Dont pretend to yourself. Stay off her. 6. Make sure you remove every form of "sexual reminders"; videos, pictures, accessible condoms, magazines, etc. You will be fine after strictly complying with everything I have written. If you are serious that is. All the best. |

Janosky: BIG LIE.
In my congregation, there are brothers and sisters whose spouses are not JWs , there is nothing like "demonising and treating like dirt a JW member" for their choice of a marriage mate.
The writer of the link you shared is simply looking for excuses to ridicule JWs & our Bible based beliefs.
A1***
JWs are not responsible for the issues in his family. Can two (a family) walk together unless they have agreed? Amos 3:3. Also, did Cain and Abel agree to walk together? Gen4:3-8. Did all the sons of Israel team up with Moses? Numbers 16:1-3,19-35.
"Do not think I came to bring peace to the earth,I came to bring, not peace, but the sword," Jesus said. Matt 10:32-39. Between obedience to Jehovah & family ties, choose one. Joshua 24:15. JWs choose Jehovah, who wan vex, make him vex...
His 1975 claims amounts to over flogging a dead horse. Jesus followers predicted that " the kingdom of God will arrive IMMEDIATELY" Luke 19:11. John 16:16-18. This is year 2020, did the kingdom come immediately ? The man is saying too, that Jesus disciples are cults. Without faith,it is impossible to please Jehovah. The writer has made his choice, his siblings made theirs. No be by force..... Live and let live. lol. Didnt expect anything less. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Lagos Saves Baby From Jehovah’s Witnesses Over Blood Transfusion by madridsta007(m): 7:19pm On Jan 09, 2020 |
achorladey: Article continues.........
(No, that is not wise. Why not? Because of the direct counsel Paul gave regarding Christian widows. Paul wrote: “She is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 7:39) In harmony with that counsel, dedicated Christians are urged to seek marriage mates only among those who are “in the Lord.”)
A NO answer given to the SCENARIO that a BAPTIZED member of JWS cannot get married or pursue COURTSHIP with an UNBAPTIZED MEMBER of JWS not to talk of a member of another CHRISTIAN denomination.
Why the NO response? Simply because of 1 Corinthians 7:39 with keywords MARRY ONLY IN THE LORD as captured in that ARTICLE above. So who is IN the LORD and who IS NOT in the LORD.
The article responds..............
When does one become a “SLAVE in the LORD”? That happens when he willingly does what a slave has to do and disowns himself. Jesus explains: “If anyone wants to come after me, let him disown himself and pick up his torture stake and continually follow me.” (Matthew 16:24) A person begins to follow Christ and fully subject himself to the will of God when he DEDICATES himself to God. Thereafter, he OFFERS himself for BAPTISM and becomes an ORDAINED MINISTER with an approved standing before Jehovah God. * So, then, to ‘marry in the Lord’ means to marry someone who has demonstrated that he is TRULY A BELIEVER, a DEDICATED “SLAVE of GOD and of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.”—James 1:1.
WHO IS IN THE LORD = Someone WHO SUBJECT to GOD/CHRIST( dedicated/BAPTIZED/ORDAINED MINISTER)
So madridsta007, I believe why you brought this out is this captured in YOUR previous post that ......JWS should HAVE his democratic choice, BE free to marry OUTSIDE or WITHIN his/her DENOMINATION and NOT be DEMONIZED.
To support YOUR POSITION...........
the question you need to ask JWS out there is WHY are they not MARRYING other CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS from the DEFINITION of THOSE (in the LORD) captured in this ARTICLE? as pasted in this post up there.
After all, there are many who have SUBJECTED themselves to GOD and CHRIST/ dedicated/ordained/BAPTIZED ministers of GOD in other CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS e.g CAC, Redeemed e.t.c
https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/w20040701/Questions-From-Readers/ You seem not to (intentionally) get my point. JWs do marry outside the sect. This happens. However, the member who does this is ALWAYS despised, excommunicated, demonised and treated like scum even by his/her own immediate family, who are JWs. I know one particular person who went into mental depression because of this. He could stand being demonised by his Kingdom Hall members. But by his own family? Father? Mother? He went into mental depression. In and out of the psychiatry ward. It was serious. Yet the excommunication continued. There is no defence for this, my dear sir. If it is sin, as it appears to be, Jesus indeed showed us how he hate the sin, but absolutely loves the sinner. There is NO defence for this. None, whatsoever. |

achorladey: Watchtower July 1 2004.........
(At 2 Corinthians 6:14, to whom is Paul referring when he uses the term “UNBELIEVERS”?
At 2 Corinthians 6:14, we read: “Do not become unevenly yoked with UNBELIEVERS.” If we look at the CONTEXT, it is EVIDENT that Paul is speaking of INDIVIDUALS who are CLEARLY NO PART of the CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION. This understanding is supported by other Bible verses that record Paul’s use of the term “UNBELIEVER” or “UNBELIEVERS.”............)
from the ABOVE context of 2 Corinthians 6:14 says........
UNBELIEVERS = INDIVIDUALS who are CLEARLY NO PART of the CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION.
Paragraphs three of the same ARTICLE of the cited watchtower concluding part has this.........
(However, Paul consistently applies the term “UNBELIEVER” to INDIVIDUALS who, as mentioned above, are NO PART of the CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION, which is made up of “BELIEVERS IN THE LORD.)
From here UNBELIEVERS = INDIVIDUALS who, as mentioned above, are NO PART of the CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION = UNBELIEVERS IN THE LORD.
From here on the SCENARIOS comes to PLAY.........still on the same ARTICLE..........
(What, though, of INDIVIDUALS who study the Bible and associate with the Christian congregation? What of those who are UNBAPTIZED PUBLISHERS*? ARE THEY UNBELIEVERS? NO. Individuals who have accepted the truth of the good news and are progressing steadily toward baptism should NOT BE CALLED UNBELIEVERS. (Romans 10:10; 2 Corinthians 4:13)..............
*unbaptized publisher an official term used by the JWS to classify those who are not a BAPTIZED member or interested ones who associate with them.
Issues arising as it concerns what can be YOKED and NOT YOKED Matthew 19:6 and 2 Corinthians 6:14
2 Corinthians 6:14Do not become UNEVENLY YOKED with UNBELIEVERS. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness?
Matthew 19:6.....So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has YOKED TOGETHER, let no man put apart.”
As it were from this junction the TECHNICALITIES states a BAPTIZED member of JWS and unbaptized members of JWS are not UNBELIEVERS. Therefore, CAN THEY BE YOKED? 2 Corinthians 6:14 and Matthew 19:6 will aid your answers.
Side QUESTION..... are those WHO associate with the CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION still be SAID to be NO PART of the CHRISTIAN the CONGREGATION?
Part two loading.......... LOL. Another deflection again. I have no more to say to you. |

MrDojo: I don't understand why most of this overzealous Christians don't realize God gave doctors the wisdom and mean to help when sick.
Why would you want to use prayer for something that already has an obvious and simple solution?
If the baby died during their negligence, they would say it's the devil, or only God knows why she/he died.
Edit: Grammar Jehovah's Witnesses do not call themselves Christians. They call themselves, Jehovah's Witness. |

Ifyjos: My story is long but I will cut short. I’m 20 years old and I have a 5 years old daughter , I’m still with her father but we are not living together. I’m still at home with my parents. My elder sister is a banker she is engaged and her fiancé is a doctor , they were supposed to get married this February 2020. My elder sister Hates my guy a lot just because he is not educated, has no money , he drinks and smoke but he is a good guy , he doesn’t beat or cheat on me , he gives money for our daughter upkeeps and she goes to school he is paying her school fees but sometime when he doesn’t have my sister will be paying but she will insult the hell out of me that I ruined my life by giving birth at a young age , I should have closed my legs she just says many things that really hurting me sometimes I cried and Whenever she sees my guy she will insulting him threatening to pour him hot water. So it happened in July , our parents traveled to the village because my dad was very sick so my guy visited me at home and she came and saw him , she got angry and started raining insult at him as usual and I got angry and slapped her which lead to a very serious fight and she arrested me and my fiancé and we came out after 3 days my guy had to sign undertaken that he should not step his foot in our house again. So he promised to deal with her in a way she will regret and I supported him, so we have decided to destroyed her relationship with her fiancé by arranging lots of boys and girls who are my guys friends to start calling her fiancé and threatening him to leave their girlfriends alone or they will kill him, so we had 7 boys and 2 girls also called him claiming that my sister is dating their husbands so he should warned her or they will do worse. Everything went according to our plans and we have succeed in destroying her relationship that her fiancé dumped her and cancelled the marriage in October. She hasn’t been well since, she lost her job , she is totally depressed and all she does is crying and she lost so much weigh. I was so happy seeing her like that because she deserved it but I pretend like I care when I didn’t but now I just feel so bad because her condition is getting worsened. Seeing her going to the hospital today really broke my heart and made me regretting what I and my guy did to her but I don’t know how to help her again. I wish I could talk to her and tell her everything we did and beg for her forgiveness but I’m scared because everybody in the family will hate me, they will disown me and throw me out of the house and I have nowhere else to go with my child. My guy stays with friends in a one room house. I’m Feeling helpless What sort of wickedness is this? I couldnt even read it fully. Your own Sister? Do people ever realise that whatever you sow, you WILL reap- to your 4th generation? My goodness! |
