Stupid lyrics ke? It's a pity you think so. I actually felt this is the Song of the Year. Dbanj is getting more original, more talented. The musical arrangement was also fantastic. A couple of friends of mine played it at their wedding, noone wanted to sit down again. Listen again, maybe you will change your mind. |
Another Mama Gee fan checking in for duty. Loved her in that One Dollar film. She never fails to deliver. Best Lifetime Nigerian Actress. |
Definitely Mr Bones. Starsky and Hutch was really good too (Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson). Loved the dancing competition scene best. |
Indomie ke? Noo, the seasoning is perfectly safe. Amen. I hope it's not all these new-style noodles that are spreading tales about our beloved Indomiiiieeee. Mimee and "O", use another tactic ok. ![]() |
It's true that you need cases and statutory provisions, especially during tests and exams because they impress the lecturers so much. But how to memorise them? Noone has any hard and fast rules. The thing is, start from day one, and not a few weeks to exam, to know your cases and stats. If you start early, you get used to them. What we used to do was, we had a case book and a provisions book. In the case book, we summarized the cases given to us, and tried to memorise them topic by topic. You put the relevant cases under the topics they were taught, and tried to make a connection in your mind that would stick. The same went for the stat. provs. I don't know how my friends did it, but I hardly used too many cases or provs during exam, but I made good grades bc I knew the principles, and most times that's what the lecturer really cares about. I made it thru my Bar Exam without one single case or prov, shameful, I know. Just try your best and leave the rest. ![]() |

people have said it's much too "hollywood", and I agree. I knew Obama would lose his dignity, but not so soon. I really don't think the infomercial is going to do him any good. Now McCain really has something to laugh at. |
tested and trusted method: Detoxify: first step to lose fact is internal cleansing. Some go on fruit or water fast, meaning that from between 3 to7 days, you only take fruits or water. Diet: next step, begin a diet. This might be one where you exclude certain or all types of food eg dairy foods(milk, eggs, butter, icecream etc.) You can eat stuff like salads and plain rice. Eat lots of veggies. Never, ever eat after six. Exercise: During the dieting period, do loads of exercise. Walking is the easiest, you can walk up to two hours sef. then do aerobics and weight training, at home or at the gym. Without heavy and daily exercise, no result can be achieved. This is what I did to lose weight one time, and in less than 5 weeks, I reached my desired weight and shape. The major thing is to reduce what you eat, and exercise like hell. ![]() |

I can tell the quality of music of music you enjoy must be very poor for you to be so impressed by the song. Anyway, sorry for yourself. ![]() |
truth hurts, but it's the truth nonetheless. With a love for rap and hip-hop that spans decades, I think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to ryhmes and jams. the so-called "Too Much" track was far from too much. And coming from girls as experienced as Sasha and Bouqui, I sincerely expected better. Maybe in my mind I was unfairly comparing them to Dj Jimmy Jatt's version with the boys: Tuface, Modenine etc (Stylee). Now that was too much. this isn't about girls beefing girls, this is telling it like it is. And most of them do sound like Eve used to. Just why can't you all state your own opinions and walk on by instead of throwing insults at people from your keyboard. Seems so infantile to me. |
Barack is bigger than US, the guy is a world figure. He does not need the American Presidency to rule the world. MLK ruled the world and he was never voted into any office. Ghandi ruled the world and was never a member of Indian Parliament. Nelson Mandela was already a world leader before he became a leader of his country. Barack may be his own enemy. In his desire to ascend the Presidency he is disowning principal ideologues with whom he founded the movement of coalitions - Wright, Ayers, Kashidi, and so on and so forth. This is why in another post or might have been in here somewhere, I said that he has abandoned his vision and took on party slogans. When you associate with party establishments you can kiss your movement ideology goodbye.
maybe Obama feels that only as President will he truly be able to touch his beloved Americans, which I assure you mean more to him than any world stage. like I said once, I'm really not a political analyst. I just read between the lines and see past the facade of "office" and "position" and try to understand what the person in question really is. So you're quite right I'm very interested in who Obama is. But that's where it ends. |
Uche2nna:Black man+Contesting for US Presidency=Obama. You can't separate the two. Being a Black American is part of who he is and trying to close your eyes to that is folly. What I meant was, if he wins, he'll try to prove to the "Whites" that he's not going to favour the minorities in any of his policies just because he's Black. I do hope you get the point. |
For now, no good female rapper because they're all still copying the old Eve. Eve has even changed her style, why can't they? Please, we need someone original, the way 9ice, Modenine etc are original. |
spikedcylinder:at last. A sista with taste. That song leaves me cold: no good hook or chorus to jam to, and overall average rhymes that a teenage rapper could have come up with. Also, why is everyone still trying to sound like Eve? It's sooo nineties. |
i know he talks funny, like his tongue is too big for his mouth, but he doesn't sound that bad. |
Its like taking a toy from a posessive child and giving it to a visiting child to play with, pretty soon you will see the possesive child exhibits animosity and anger towards the visiting child and that anger is sometimes accompanied with shoves or punches.
Good analogy. It makes perfect sense: the average white supremacist is not going to take "President" Obama lying down, and will transfer aggression to the innocent Black Minority. When will they realise that a president belongs to everyone? I think Obama will be fairer to the whites than all the minorities, just to prove that he's not a "Black" president. Oh well, you can't please everyone. |
he never forced me, but for love I had to start liking oats b/c it's his fav cereal. Imagine that's the usual breakfast you prepare for him and you don't eat it with him. I hate anything soft and wet and hot, I prefer cold, crunchy cereal, but noone told me before I started downing Quaker oats daily. Love strong no be small. |
let me say something about people of African origin eg Afro Americans, Afro Europeans, Nigerians. We have an annoying way of showing our glee whenever we win, whether in sports, entertainment or politics. If Obama wins, the glee/smugness/celebration will be fearful. I for one will be walking a lot taller. If Obama wins, there has to be an underground system to warn our black brothers and sisters to take it meekly. More triumphs are sure to come. |
i still want to be u. Gym or not. Fry-up for breakfast, and now this, yum double yum. Life is to be enjoyed. Eat and feel guiltfree. ![]() |
won ton soup. sluuurrp! |
@JamaicanQT this is the height of e-cruelty! I just stumbled on this thread and whaam! great-looking grub. I really want to be u right now. yum ![]() |
for comfort, like when I'm really low, the only kind of food that'll pick me up is:SPAGHETTI. That's real comfort food, especially when u can throw anything into the pot and the spag will still taste good. Works every time. ![]() |
@kayday thanks a bunch! checked out your blog, i'll hook myself up as soon as possible. All i can say, Nairaland needs more people like you! Thanks for taking the time, cheers. |
This is someone who comes in contact with millions each day. Just how much security could ever be enough, especially for someone who's NOT yet the president? I really hope he makes it to the White House. It's not the time to say "I told you so," it's been obvious that Obama will always have a security threat. Not just to himself, but to his black supporters. The two "Nazis" credited with the assasination attempt also threatened to kill 102 Blacks as well. Will America be a safe place for the triumphant Afro-Americans if Obama wins? Who knows. |
Usher, Neyo, Chris Brown "copy" Michael Jackson. Noone complains. Bey is a stylemaker, she sets trends, not copies them. And if she does, she still manages to twist in her own personal thang. I think Tina would be flattered to know Bey copied her in anything. |
Thank God, someone finally showed up that has an objective look, is confident in her racial heritage and proud of it and is not afraid to ask critical questions. Maedan, welcome!
Thank you, Negro_Ntns. I hail you too. |
question : do you need to be a girl to know what its like to give a BJ? No. FLOWSHOW:ok, ok, I know. Bad joke. Couldn't resist. |
@Negro_Nts yes, I agree with you on the point that when Obama gets into the Oval Office, he WILL change, and not for the better. He may lose all dignity and respect, from others and from himself. I just hope he hardens up enough to stand up for himself and not let anyone turn him into their "puppet". @Seun i will gladly vote for Obama. Put next to that comic character McCain, what choice does anyone have? I can't believe there's still going to be an election, let's just swear Obama in! But seriously, let's not blindly wish the Presidency on Obama, like the song says, be careful what you wish for, you might get much more than you bargained for. If I thought the US would gain from Obama but in some way Obama would suffer in the end, then I won't vote for him. |
@omoge, thanks, I always try to give a good, if not informed, opinion. on a live show yesterday someone called in and said Obama was "trying" to be an American, implying that not only did he NOT deserve to be an American, he did not deserve to be an American president. Can you imagine? There's a deep-rooted pompous, racist thread in some key areas of the US that I don't think poor OB has a chance. |
@ Negro_Ntns, now u're really freaking me out! Hey, I don't pretend to be some heavy political ananlyst, but I AM an intelligent observer and I really think America would prefer the Worst White President (eg McCain) than the Best Black President (ie Obama). Something tells me it will be a very small margin, but Obama may lose. It would be made to seem like a "close call", but he just might be cheated out of the White House. What ever, Obama seems just too dignified to want to be the American president, an office that has sunk low from its once elevated pedestal. |
for the looks and the charm, the Best Bond goes to: Roger Moore. For the best acting Bond - Sean Connery. And as for this Craig guy: whether its his permanently scowling face or his stiff moves, I just don't dig him as a Bond. And hey, I actually thought Timothy Dalton was a quite respectable Bond. The cutest by far. ![]() |
