@ WokarGwa
Yep, I've checked out the proper site(Gutenberg.org smiley just now, and it's great. Literature.org does not have downloads, so I like Gutenberg better!! Thanks and I hope you find the Old Curiosity Shop on there and finish it! Peace.
TV/MoviesRe: Meagan Good, Anchors Nigerian Reality Tv Show by maedan(f): 10:44am On Nov 07, 2009
I hope she won't be anchoring it in that nightgown - I mean dress undecided tongue.
TV/MoviesRe: Rachael Adedeji - X Factor 2009 Contestant by maedan(f): 10:39am On Nov 07, 2009
aaaaaawwww @ "with strong Naija accent on National TV". Did they really do that? Hmmn, no wonder undecided. If not for that maybe she'll still be in the show. They can be quite racist, you know. (yeah, I said the "R" word tongue)
NYSCRe: Help!: Nysc Dilemma by maedan(f): 4:55am On Nov 06, 2009
This isn't a life-threatening situation, surely?? Not enuf to start a whole new topic. This happens all the time. Though your case is extra serious tongue. Are you the only female in the mag?? Keep your line abeg, dem go soon tire and leave your line for your prospective employers.
FashionRe: ~ The Nigerian Music Video Awards ( NMVA ) ~ by maedan(f): 4:41am On Nov 06, 2009
aah, mohawkchic, I trust you wink.

Thanks for the pix babes, I actually think our ladies have the style factor, from their weaves to their dresses to their shoes - they can hold their own oo. As for the gentlemen(****shrug****) Their own is generally "try your luck" fashion grin.
RomanceRe: Why Does The Fools Fall In Love by maedan(f): 4:32am On Nov 06, 2009
Well you'll have to ask the "fools" that "does" it, not us wink.
RomanceRe: What Matters Most To you In A Relationship? by maedan(f): 4:30am On Nov 06, 2009
Respect. And of course it has to be give-and-take. Some men value respect even more than love sef. But there's one other thing of course: friendship. You see how some true friends stay close for decades, even all their lives. If your partner can be your best friend, then that relationship is bound to last.
Foreign AffairsRe: Army Doctor Murders 11 Soldiers, Wounding 31 Others In Fort Hood Texas by maedan(f): 4:27am On Nov 06, 2009
After this they'd probably think twice about letting even American Muslims get into the US Army. No one knows his motives up till now. Such senseless killing. But isn't it funny that nine out of ten of these shooters/gunmen all end up being killed before we can get any real answers?? Food for thought.
Music/RadioRe: Big Pimpin (sudan Style) Let Me Take U To Da Movies by maedan(f): 4:20am On Nov 06, 2009
Lemme take you to the mooovies shorrr-rrryyyy. . . . cheesy

Yeah, very catchy.

Nice to have pictures of the flashy cars and skyscrapers instead of the real thing. The movie theatre sef, we no see. Does Sudan even have one tongue?? Nice try anyway, Mr. Bangs grin.
RomanceRe: Are There Any Handsome Man/Boy Still In Nigeria? by maedan(f): 4:07am On Nov 06, 2009
Hmmn. Guys with the good looks abound. The question should be, where are all the responsible, good natured and God-fearing handsome men/boys?? We need to qualify these things cheesy. I dey lol ooo.
FamilyRe: ~Have U Ever Stolen . . .?~ by maedan(f): 4:04am On Nov 06, 2009
No, never.

Except for pinching my friend's nice lipstick and then wearing it to her house the next day after she refused to "dash" me tongue. Little little lifting like that. But stealing stealing, ie people's money, phones, clothes etc, lai lai. That one na poverty angry tongue.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 9:23pm On Nov 05, 2009
lol @ aysometin, I feel you about the show getting hotter - maybe their anger about Rachel would have worn off by the weekend and they'll be watching again wink.

Kenny G & co., I think I've stopped blaming Jedward for all the problems on X-Factor; they're just "following their dream". If you had a chance to star on the show, talented or not, wouldn't you take it so long as the public kept you in?? They're twins, and people(teen girls mostly tongue) seem to be crazy about them. Weirder things have happened undecided undecided grin!!!
LiteratureRe: Your Best Author by maedan(f): 2:56pm On Nov 05, 2009
Gutenburg? Mine is literature.org. I'll check yours out though, thanks and Happy Reading wink!!
LiteratureRe: Your Best Author by maedan(f): 1:52pm On Nov 05, 2009
WokarGwa, sorry you never got to finish the Old Curiousity Shop. I think I've read it twice or thrice. Yes, it does make you cry in some places. I'll try to read the Pickwick Papers one of these days, I hear it's very good. I loved Tom Sawyerr!! And I'm halfway thru' Huckleberry Finn but I can't seem to find the time to finish it for now. There's an online library where I get to read all the classics. I had the hard copy of Curiousity shop, I read it to shreds cheesy. Quip was so evil, he deserved to end up the way he did. Make sure you finish it wink!!
LiteratureRe: Your Best Author by maedan(f): 1:10pm On Nov 05, 2009
@WokarGwa, I've read a few. You know there aren't that many of his books. I loved the Old Curiousity Shop, have you read that one? A Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol and some more of his major classics. You're right, he gets you laughing unexpectedly as you're reading. I also like Mark Twain.
LiteratureRe: Your Best Author by maedan(f): 11:58am On Nov 05, 2009
Charles Dickens.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, S/Africa To Sign Visa Exemption Agreement for Government Officials by maedan(f): 11:47am On Nov 05, 2009
@Mpele, and what do you mean by that?? Any country should be happy that a Nigerian even wants to step foot into their borders - to speak less of the "overweight, corrupt govt officials".
TV/MoviesRe: 24 Vs Prison Break by maedan(f): 11:43am On Nov 05, 2009
@semid, thanks for telling me!! Cos a new addiction is exactly what I need right now cheesy!!! Those three days I was hooked on PB was wicked grin!! And that was just three seasons. Trust me, I've got plenty of time to watch all 24's eight seasons!!

So if you don't hear from me for the whole of next week, you know what I'll be up to wink cheesy.
TV/MoviesRe: 24 Vs Prison Break by maedan(f): 3:10am On Nov 05, 2009
lol @ kayality
you harsh oooo cheesy.

Nothing can take the place of PB on my number one spot, but I'm amazed I haven't seen one episode of this 24, though I hear it's bloody good. Maybe I should go watch season 1-8 before I drop my verdict. After all I used to think PB wasn't worth my time, until I stumbled on one episode and then ended up watching seasons 1-3 in less than a week!! grin
Literature/Writing AdsRe: Download Any Novel Or Magazine U Want (RIGHT NOW) by maedan(f): 2:11am On Nov 05, 2009
kaydkay, this is sooo cool. I've read a lot of them already but it's still nice to have them on my PC. You're trying, keep up the good work.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Liverpool F.C Fans Zone - the Mighty Reds ! by maedan(f): 2:03am On Nov 05, 2009
Blah blah blah tongue cheesy.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, S/Africa To Sign Visa Exemption Agreement for Government Officials by maedan(f): 1:58am On Nov 05, 2009
I think we should be allowed to bash any country we want (for the SA defender who was complaining). They do it to us all the time. At least we have a cause - considering how many Nigerians have been killed in that country in the past several years due to fear and hatred. I don't give a flipping fish fin whether SA is the tourist haven of Africa, or that it's heaven on earth. Even if I were a govt official I'd cringe from the idea of a visa-free RSA tongue.

TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 6:24pm On Nov 04, 2009
@thameamead, JLS are so hot, I agree!! They seem to have such good songs, and they get cooler day by day. Even "JedWard"( :PI really don't know who comes up with these things!!) takes lessons from them about dancing and singing - and I heard JLS are rooting for them, being they are a group and under Louis like them.

I just don't know what's wrong with X-Factor this year, so fishy, and then poor Rachel being made to look like she had no pull with the public - it's so unfair to leave the show with such a mentality! Half of my Nigerian folk have already vowed never to watch another episode of X-Factor - for this year at least tongue.
TV/MoviesRe: **best Epic/fantasy Movie Ever!** by maedan(f): 1:56pm On Nov 02, 2009
grin grin grin
You know what I meant about it being a children's movie - of course it wasn't made for kids per se, but with all the magic and special effects and monsters etc, it would be a movie that would appeal to many a child-like heart grin wink. But seriously the movie was good, it just didn't do it for me tongue.

And I guess I was right, left to you two, this thread will be all about LOTR. Maybe you should rename the thread: LOTR: The Greatest epic/Fantasy Movie Ever Made grin!!! LOL.
TV/MoviesRe: **best Epic/fantasy Movie Ever!** by maedan(f): 1:37pm On Nov 02, 2009
iice, wow shocked shocked. Now you're really beginning to scare me cheesy. Kiera Knightley was fantastic in the movie - at least in the first one. I love the women they use in these movies, especially The Mummy and Van Helsing. Without them there would be no element of reality in the fantasy flicks. That's why to me LOTR will always be a movie for children/children-at-heart because it hardly had any of that man-woman electricity to make it all worthwhile cheesy.

And Shola2009, it's ok, I think I understand you and iice better now. Video games were made for people like you cos all you two care about is the straightforward action, minus what you all feel is the bullsh*t that the women provide tongue grin.
PoliticsRe: Why We Hate Nigeria So Much - By The Diasporians A.ka. Nigerians Abroad! by maedan(f): 1:29pm On Nov 02, 2009
I don't really hate Nigeria per se, I just hate what it has become. And I am disgusted with the people that made it that way. Everyday on TV I see them and how robust and comfortable they appear - while the masses are getting even poorer. If only these nation-killers could be wiped out so that Nigeria can thrive again.
TV/MoviesRe: **best Epic/fantasy Movie Ever!** by maedan(f): 1:20pm On Nov 02, 2009
^^^^No2Atheism, you took the words right outta my mouth cheesy!!!

iice you've got to be the only female I know who would say that. No females in vampire/action/epic movies? Very rarely does it happen!! Think of Pirates of the Carribean and The Mummy series, and tell me it wasn't the strong, beautiful women that added to the over-all appeal of the flicks wink wink.
TV/MoviesRe: **best Epic/fantasy Movie Ever!** by maedan(f): 1:08pm On Nov 02, 2009
iice, what's a vampire movie without a decent female lead to spice things up undecided?? Anyway there was really not much touchy feely in the movie, trust me. Everything was on the level. Films like the Blade series and Twilight always have a tinge of romance to lighten up the bloodshed wink.

Shola2009, it was obvious from the beginning that all you wanted was to blab about your fave movie, LOTR, and anyone with a contrary view could just stuff it tongue. I mean it was I who first suggested you start a poll, if not I bet this thread woulda been all about you and your beloved LOTR. By the way, apart from the special effects the movie to me was so infantile.
