Many big private business owners are cashing out and going public selling stocks........my concern is that the public really don't know the motives of previous business owners in going public......I was touched to the heart when I a bloody retail investor is being contacted for sale of Airtel IPO amid a barrage of mutual funds by various brokerage houses...I now have this feeling that my small money is important but might be snatched away from me under my eagle watch...In recent we have seen notore and mtn.....amid all this frenzy public companies are recapitalizing and asking for more money from the public......

No company has announced a failed IPO yet.......I expected Notore IPO to be a failure @ #62 or after a year or two in the nse it starts behaving like the typical NSE stock like transcorp ,uacn, Julius Berger....

They tried to look at the dollar amount in 2005 compared to today. Banks have indeed suffered reduced capital because of devaluation to Naira.
Why dont this regulators just make us an american Annexe, Lets all spend the dollar after all it is what they base their judgements on

...but I dont understand this cbn. Said capital base has weakened and banks can no longer fund large transaction, how true is that actually cos each has more than 25B as capital base? huh

how i wished money is still backed by gold.......when banks re-capitalise all that money is still going to be dumped on the Nigerian economy to be spent first by the elites(presidents and public office holders)....First spenders in an inflated economy never feel the brunt...It is usually the masses that get handouts that feel it......

The people I pity most are the backers of the new minimum wages, By the time they know what hit them a loaf of Valu bread will be going for #1500

I was around idiroko border axis and the air was filled with implications of removal of ban on tokumbo vehicles............my thoughts are that once the ban is lifted.........I would accumulate petroleum marketing stocks as they will be the highest beneficiaries of cheap vehicular imports..........I also see the lifting of this ban as a strategic move to the commissioning of dangote refinery

Can you guys help us with info on them.......these seems to be new management...............I also noticed Micheal Balogun increased his meagre holdings as a director by 6000000 units........when Larafarge was #100+ about 4 years ago.....I would have said this is a substantial increase, also I would like to know his annual salary as his peer in Dangote "Makojun" goes home annually with over #400million annaual salary

I dont know why they just want to hold tight to peoples money at first registrar......Seriously, The more first registrar fustrate me the more i tend to think selecting companis based on registrar is not a bad idea......

BusinessRe: My Salesboy Is Eating My Money by maishai: 7:05pm On Jun 13, 2019
poksmahn:
I recently started a business about two weeks ago and because of my schedule, i hired someone to manage it for me. Can't be at two places at once. So, I hired a lanky teenager that radiates humility and zeal for the job and since the business started, I have not been hitting the desired target. I was getting frustrated already but i kept consoling myself that maybe the word has not yet gone around about the business.

So yesterday, i decided to spend a whole day at the business and lo and behold, I made a lot of money that day. Obviously, the boy was eating my money. I have no problems with my staff taking money out for lunch but this guy was slashing my money by half. Imagine the greed! And I pay him above minimum wage and told him to take Sundays off. But the guy comes to work on Sundays and works till late. AT first, I was happy with his work ethic but now, i realize that this guy is working for his own half.

And he swore with his life that he's not eating my money. The next course of action is to fire him but how can i prevent this embezzlement from going on with the next guy I hire? The nature of business is a game lounge. I'll be grateful for any advice I can get here.
Take time to study master slave relationship or King subject relationship before handing over a business unit to someone else.........If after tutoring yourself you feel you still want to be a master or King you go ahead and use the techniques of masters from old times............ A modern human is not as hard to control as human beings of old........

our sai buhari and sai atiku crew should come out and thresh matters arising as this will affect allof us.........There are only two sets of people devaluation would not affect badly they are the Government as they are the first spenders in the economy
secondly The big monopolies that do no import their major raw materials eg Dangote cement........Their product just becomes cheaper in the international market..........

Others just suffer and keep abusing themselves not knowing what hit them

It's a payment service bank strictly for payments and to operate only in rural areas not a full banking license.

By the way, all this patriotism nonsense miss the point. As long as the customer gets quality service, it doesn't matter if the business is from Pluto. If Nigerian firms were expanding to other African countries, we would have understood the folly of criticising South African companies just because they are South African
My brother I wish the world plays pure Capitalism where customer is king but hell no It doesn't, what do you think is the cause of beef between China and the US... It's nothing other than control of the Chinese people which the US wants for itself but can't....

I only pity the regulators that want to believe those in the poorest of rural areas are lower Nigerians compared to their Urban counterparts......when Mtn start making billions off them, everyone now wears the hat of one Nigeria

What I see is "the voice of Jacob, but hand of Esau" on the bolded.
Paschal Dozie and his journey men trying to get their "Diamond bank" back through an MTN front!
It's so embarassing to see our nation being 'raped' left, right and center in collaboration with fellow country men.
Who will stop this economic assault on Nigeria huh huh huh
Patrotism not in our dictionary,If this goes ahead Money Control will gradually leave the hands of Nigerians to SouthAfricans with the Dozies just getting their share but the issue of Power will never be in their control......

I pray this never happens though as no Nigerian Bank will be able to withstand the onslaught of mtn if the liecense is granted

Can what played out in Dangote flour/Tiger brands play out in oando in the next 3 years....... I'm spoting a pattern, though it is extremely risky but I want to believe the battle for the heart of oando means there is a Hugh honey pot that might just spill down we retail investors..... I'm not deep into oando but will start buying at #1 to average down till Pandora folds up

I am shocked you're saying this.

There are career shareholders in Nigeria, they don't have any other job other than to monitor AGM, Boards meetings and SEC/NSE information.

Every Chairman BOD members, must lobby them to get reelected.

Ask our guy that attended Caverton AGM

Those guys are on speed dial.
We need to start snapoing their pics and posting on this thread, we dont need to know their names just their faces so that if someone goes for maybe rakunitypet agm and finds them,we know whats up their sleeves

This is where I really miss Fxuser and BBM. Would love to know what indicator or strategy to use to study the index chart right now. There has to be a way to discount the distortion to the index by the combined weight of MTNN and Dangote Cement.

The increase in the ASI is in no way correlated to the reality on the floor.
Men the absence of fxuser is really hurting my portfolio......I have good selection but bad entry points is dealing me heavy hand

We have witnessed multiple movements of top-level officials in MRS in recent time. With the recent reorganisations undertaken by the company, it may be well positioned for greater heights. The company has huge potentials with its very limited number of shares outstanding. At this time, MRS has many things going for it and may easily surprise the market.
Sayyu dantata(brings business from Dangote group) is gone, Bisshong (brings business from Cameroon and neighboring west African countries) now gone......I will see who joins the board

Oga... Nobody is discouraging people to buy all we are saying is exercise caution. Even me I already took a loan to buy more DF and some may go into MTN but not above 100 Naira.

So my approach is as much as I want MTN, I won't buy above N100, and if I can't get it due to the rush... I will wait until their year end result comes in. Then I will re-evaluate.
lol @ i wont buy above #100......You must have deep pockets
