PoliticsRe: Only In Nigeria Is Gun Used In Defending National Currency. by malali: 7:09am On Feb 22, 2024
Notfogotten:
Only in Nigeria.

Sometimes, you ask yourself, how did we get here as a people.

Drastic measures were needed.
In the USA, the secret service defends only 2 things.
1-The USA President.
2-The American Dollar.

And they are fully armed to the teeth.
So its not only in Nigeria that guns are used to defend the currency.
PoliticsRe: Emefiele Demands N25bn As Damages From Akpabio Over ‘defamatory Remark’ by malali: 6:56am On Feb 22, 2024
I told you Emefiele did not act alone.

I am surprised "Emefiele" did not save insurance.

All the people that came to buy subsidized dollars with notes from presidency.

The government is just doing Big Brother Nigeria with Emefiele's trial.

Emefiele's trial should be publicized like Al-Mustaphas trial.

He should come out and say the people that were extorting the country.

If we dont get all the things that went wrong in the past, how can we prevent them in the future.

I still think CBN governor should be regulated, we should have 10 Deputy governors and we should have deputy governors from PDP, LP, and independents. We need a system, where there are checks and balances. If we continue to give the winning party the key to the treasuries completely we will continue to have problems with misappropriation.

Can you imagine, Emefiele buying forms for APC presidential.
PoliticsRe: Re-election - Tinubu Will Not Campaign In The North by malali: 6:48am On Feb 22, 2024
He will campaign in the north.

He has had the balls to do things no northerner could do.

The Norths problem did not start with Tinubu nor will it end with Tinubu.

Was Buhari not there for 8 years ? Why didnt the North set up "systems" that will last another regime.

The Northerners are still the wealthiest Nigerians in the country, Why is there so much abject poverty in the North ?

Its easy to point fingers and blame someone else, But its high time the Northerners take a fair share of responsibility.

They need to spread the wealth in the North, not just a few elites and then everyone one else be saying "ranka ya dade"

We need to have the biggest Agricultural Franchise in the world. We need to move to mechanized farming instead of small time subsistence farming.

Its easy to blame a man that came all the way from Lagos for all the Norths Problem in 8 months.

Questionnaires:
SMALL SISTER NAIJA: Are You A Political Asset To Nigeria ?

Proof It.
The phrase "proof it" is not grammatically correct in standard English usage. "Proof" is typically used as a noun or a verb, but not as an adjective modifying "it."

If you're trying to say something like "prove it," then that would be correct. "Prove" is a verb, and "it" is the object of the verb.

For example:

"Can you prove it?"
"I need proof."
If you're using "proof" as a noun, you might say:

"Do you have any proof?"
"I'll need proof of your identity."
PoliticsRe: Petrol Import Reduced By 1 Billion Litres In Seven Months by malali: 4:59am On Feb 22, 2024

insecurity has affected foodstuff. For the locally produced goods cost of diesel has gone up and some of the raw materials are imported too. There has to be an all out war on bandits and oil theft.
The people living with the bandits know who they are. Bandits are not ghosts, and they dont live in the bush on trees, village heads, local villagers if recruited will snitch on the bandits. I have lived in rural Nigeria, the people living there know those who spend money without an obvious source of livelihood.

Oil theft is also organized crime, nobody wakes up and decides to go and steal oil that day randomly, DSS should place spies in oil communities and arrest people massively, hire the local youths to protect the pipelines and prosecute the strong headed ones.

There are a lot of country with more pipelines than Nigeria, no oil theft.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Import Reduced By 1 Billion Litres In Seven Months by malali: 4:22am On Feb 22, 2024
ednut1:
false. We are currently importing Fuel so therefore purchasing power can’t determine the price. Once dangote starts refining the price he bought crude ( an internationally Priced raw material) will be the starting point for costing computation and refining cost.
I meant locally produced goods, not imported fuel.
Imported fuel is international commodity market.
However foodstuff and other goods produced in Nigeria 100% will eventually come down in prices.

We are no longer subsidizing petrol for Togo, Benin Republic, Cameroun, Chad, Ghana, Niger Republic, Central Africa Republic e.t.c
You said that right, We were subsidizing petrol and dollars to the whole of west Africa.

Please keep the borders closed, the prices will come down eventually, purchasing power determines the price of goods in a closed system.

If the government sanitizes the forex upstream and downstream channels, This government would have won the first round. Problem is a lot of Government officials are the main dollar criminals, its not the people earning minimum wage or unemployed. The Dollar criminals are the lawmakers and Elites. Tinubu doesn't have the balls to tackle them yet. Although rumor has it, he is one of them....lol

And they are asking us to forget the past......

They are just deceiving Nigerians........

They are here to loot as well, they are removing all subsidies so that they can have liquid cash to loot.

.let start from there grin grin grin

Mugu
There are 91 cement companies in some countries, they pay for raw materials, they pay taxes, no tax waiver, no import waivers.
and they still make money. Tell your boss. He needs to do more.

Nigerians maybe quiet but not for long. Now Emefiele has siphoned all the dollars to him to build a refinery ? He built a 17 billion dollar refinery and has paid 70% of the loan back without selling a drop of petrol ?? How did he pay the loan ? He got the money for free from CBN, most likely or some backdoor deals. Now Nigeria is transferring all these cost to the masses, when technically Nigeria owns that refinery, it was built with dollars meant for the whole country.

Not all Nigerians are fools, we know what is going on !!!!!!!

And shell and Exxon mobile are doing enough?..

You are clearly a joker😂😂
After all the oil spillage.. partnering with looters to release manipulated oil production figures In order to pay less taxes and royalty to government..
These companies destroyed the environment they operate in and are gradually pulling out..you are saying nonsense..

None of them could build a working refinery..they come when steal the oil and sell..carry their money to their parent company in the US and UK..

You are a big fool..

You have a Nigerian that has risked everything and continuously invested in Nigeria far more than any shell or oil company in Nigeria..

He single handedly influenced a $19 billion refinery.. something shell couldn't do after all they declare from both oil and gas activities in bonny..

This is not about Dangote..by every means we need more home grown investors to rise in Nigeria..they are the only ones with the interest of Nigeria in mind ...every foreign company's goal is to as much as possible generate profit and send them out..

Lafarge was the first cement producers in Nigeria...ask your self..if you still see their products common despite raking billions from their gombe, calabar and ogun plants.. what is nestle doing..what is ur so called shell doing..

Isn't because they trained you..you open Ur big mouth and talk..
Go to ibese and Obajana..find out how many students are on sponsorship through Dangote academy and still collect stipends..

BUA runs a lot of scholarship in this Edo and Sokoto plants..what about innoson..

You are there licking the white man ass..

I still ask again..what are CSR projects of shell that beats Dangote or even BUA groups..this is a simple question you are still struggling to answer
Take Dangotes penis out of your mouth.
Have some self respect......lol

PoliticsRe: Diaspora Investments In Nigeria by malali: 6:24am On Feb 21, 2024
The system has to be sanitized prior to anyone investing their foreign currency in Nigeria.

Martha stewart went to Jail in America.....She is a billionaire.

Rule of Law has to be priority. Some people cannot be looting the treasuries and then you tell Diaspora's to invest.

Even the politicians are looking for investments abroad.

The government should set up commodities board and then get public listed companies to produce agricultural produce to sell to the Board.

1-2 YEARS, If done right with honest profit sharing, investments with start pouring in.

E.G Lease farmland in Any state, Farm lucrative crops, get venture capitalists, after harvest share profit honestly, and publicize it, grow every year, buy produce to store and export the excess. Guard against looting and fraud at any level.

The oil companies loot the oil and destroying the environments

Have you called them out..

You are talking about exploiting resources,..
Are the resources there for decorations in the first place..

Mugu
I went to school on dual Mobil and Shell Scholarship, They were involved in a lot of CSR
Dangote doesnt do enough, I dont care if he is paying you to defend him.
To whom a lot is given, much more is expected.
The resources belong to 300 million Nigerians, not one private firm.
We might as well give him all the crude oil for free as well, now that he has used CBN subsidized dollars to build a refinery. That refinery technically belongs to Nigerians. FYI

With the recent policies like merging the rate of official and parallel market, paying out foreign inflow in its naira equivalent and stopping cash payment for PTA/BTA, one can easily conclude that they have restricted forex going out to the BDCs which is one of the cause of the current forex crisis.

With all these done, the CBN only needs to take a few more steps like allowing payment for foreign goods/service directly from personal / business accounts at the prevailing rates and that will kill the demand for forex at the parallel market.
BDC's need to be regulated.
The Senate should have gone into action, I wonder why they are leaving everything up the president.
They are the lawmakers, they should have invited the representatives of the BDC and asked them tough questions, in view of all Nigerians,
Who are your customers? How much do you change on average, how do you move funds around the country, where do you get new forex from, how do you infuse the money back into the system.
What measures do you take against dirty money or laundered money ?

They are allowing people to run around , without regulation and they are surprised the crime is high.
PoliticsRe: What Would Peter Obi Have Done Differently? by malali: 10:16pm On Feb 20, 2024
Obi cannot face the people behind the scenes.

Nigeria has a fifth column.

Obi will not last 1 month on that seat.

He has no political base, he will end up taking orders from other people.

They wont let him be his own person. Even if he has good ideas.

Even if you raise 100 billion dollars.

As long as there are a few Nigerians with 10 billion naira cash at home, they will change it to dollars in no time.

And we are back to square one......

You have to address the looters, the corrupt officials, the money launderers, the currency traffickers, the currency hoarders.

Stop pretending they dont exist or they are untouchable.

These people are making a fool of your government and your strategies. You are now spending more than the "removed" subsidy to stabilize the naira....lol

Yeah, and where is the money to keep funding subsides, even the one we pay self cannot cover any roof of any house, using your analogy (Electricity subsidies cannot fund or cover anything much)

We have reached point zero. And I hold this APC government and the past APC government responsible, because they came in with ideas about diversification and raising non oil revenue...and they did not do that.
So you seriously believe and trust these politicians to use to removed subsidy to build Nigeria. Have you forgotten that the only reason we are in this mess was because these politicians find it easier to loot the money and pay chicken change subsidies, till the subsidies got out of control. I guarantee you, when they are done removing subsidies, some new politicians will come and loot all the money in subsequent regimes.
