NATO members pay upkeep to NATO(USA) to buy weapons manufactured by USA
NATO members buy crude oil and natural gas from USA, because they cant buy from the enemy (Russia)
Everything is win win win for USA.
USA has given over 75 billion dollars in aid to ukraine.

Reminds me of when Buhari was allocating 1 billion dollars to fight Insecurity in the North.
I knew at that point, Insecurity will never go away in North, Insecurity(Bandits/Terrorists) is big business...LOL

However, He has every right to contest if he decides too.

By the way, Lagos has a structure that it doesn't matter who the governor is.
They have a checks and balances system, that monitors the governors and ensure they deliver.

The wages are not the problem.
Even if the government pays 1 million unguarded inflation will make all that money useless.
The aim of the government should be how to make things cheaper.
How can we use science and technology to grow cheaper more affordable food ?
How can we use science and technology to grow more animal protein ?
China has over 1 billion people but the feed them within reasonable income.
The question is why cant we improve our rice production to foreign standard ?
Why cant we have food processing plants to curb the wastage during harvest season ?
Can Toyota start an assembly plant in Nigeria for the whole West-African sub region ?
We have a production problem, if we print more money to pay more salaries, it will only get worse.

The world is more interdependent than we all think and know.
America is always going after China, and they both need each other equally
The world ganged up against Russia, now a lot of other people are still buying energy from Russia
Palestine was thought to be a pushover, small Houthis have disrupted the supply chain all over the world.
ECOWAS thought there were all strong and mighty but had to beg the three countries to come back and lift their sanctions.
Conflict resolution will eventually move more towards dialogue than ultimatums.

GOVERNORS SHOULD INTERACT MORE AND LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.
PREVIOUS SUCCESSFUL GOVERNORS SHOULD LECTURE THE NEW ONES.
PEOPLE LIKE FASHOLA, AMAECHI, FAYEMI,WIKE,NGIGE THAT HAVE BEEN GOVERNORS AND MINISTERS SHOULD OFFER CONSULTANCY TO THESE NEW GOVERNORS.

This is good decision on paper but not in reality.

Buhari stopped rice importation and gave local rice farmers billions with the hope that they will produce enough to crash prices. But reverse was the case. The local rice farmers trippled price of local rice such that local rice became almost as expensive as imported rice.

You don't shut the border before you are self sufficient. You close the border after you start producing at least 80% of your present import.

Anything short of that will lead to unbearable flation which will hurt the very people you claim you are trying to help.

This is the same thing happening with cement. If the local players are jacking up prices unreasonably I expect the government to checkmate them by allowing import flood the market and stabilize price. Importation is not as evil as people want to paint it. Excessive importation is the actual problem

I know a few dollar billionaires who made their money smuggling goods across the borders. Nigerian borders should remain closed, The level of smuggling going on in those borders will sabotage any economic policies. Thats the reason there is no production within Nigeria. There should be basic things with Nigerian brand. We dont have any !! Trust me closed borders are good.

A lot of border porosity is common knowledge in Nigeria.
