You people say Nigeria needs prayers as if nobody has ever prayed for Nigeria before. Prayers are just a lazy man's excuse to do nothing. Prayer will never help this country or any other country for that matter to progress.

In 10 or 20 years from now you guys will still be here saying Nigeria needs prayers as if to say the reason Nigeria is not progressing is because nobody knows how to say prayers

And to me, YES! marrying a christian (who's gat all the qualities I seek) sure makes a difference.

Cowgirl every relationship is different just because yours happen to be like a bed of roses coz you just happened to be with a cowboy that has the qualities that you need dose not necessarily mean that only Christians enjoy good relationships. Muslims marry Muslims they have good relationships Hindus marry Hindus they have good relationships. Muslims marry Christians they have good relationships. Athiests marry Christians they have good relationships. So good relationships are not necessarily based on whether your partner is Christian or not because its not only you guys who enjoy good relationships.

As an athiest I don't have a problem marrying a Christian or any women of any religion. The problem is usually is that the Christian cannot marry someone who dose not have the same belief system that they were born and bred into. A Christian marrying another Christian is no guarantee of a blissful marriage. Some women do end up marrying wife beaters, hot tempered men, stingy men cheaters etc. And if their relationship or marriage eventually breaks up has it got anything to do with Christianity? So dose marrying a Christian make any difference.

Proper fans (like the ones u see at football matches are born and bred into thier football teams unlike u fake naija armchair fans who only follow thier teams on TV will and will never go to a live game in thier life and call themselves diehard fans

Sweetlemon: Anybody who believes in and loves God will not even think of marrying someone who doesn't believe in God. Except of course if there are other benefits such aa money, connections, etc. Even with that, it is only CORE MATERIALISTIC people who would do so because marrying someone who does not believe in your heavenly father is like (even more serious than) marrying someone who has no regard for your earthly father. That's the bitter truth

Marry your God fearing Christian and just hope he doesn't turnout to be a God fearing wife beater. Because if you want to judge character behaviour or whether your spouse is nice or not based on religious beliefs. Forget it. Your just deluding yourself

Area_boy: back in my first year in uni, was in a scripture union group and the message was. "pray like it all depends on praying and study like it all depends on studying" it worked well for a while until i forgot to pray at all and my performance was still thesame lol.

basically, it is a mental thing. what you believe in works for you ( ooops )

It's as if something at the back of your mind is telling you that your just talking to yourself. If you can't pray with confidence why bother? Try a different strategy to get what you want or need

ZUBY77: My case is different. I usually start telling them my stand instantly. The whole of my neighbourhood in Onitsha now know that i am an atheist. I have been arguing with them for months since i returned from Europe. I usually throw questions that they cannot answer. Sometimes, they come up with the old doctrine questions of ; who made you: and so on. I have personally converted many of them but not wthout a prize. I took three guys with me down to Enugu on a weekend trip. I used my BMW X5 which is spacious and neat. I paid for the petrol alone, paid for their hotel bills for two niights, took them to nice joints and gave them ladies all on my own.
Now after spending like 100K for this guys, they had no option than to listen to me. I made them understand that TB Joshua is a scammer who exploits their ignorance. I told them that to become a free thinker like me, they have to start questioning everything including God himself. Last week, a church in my are were making noise and disturbing the entire area throughout the nights. I callled on my three guys and they all agreed that they couldnt sleep cos of the noises. Now i suggested that we go into the church to make our case known, they agreed reluctantly but refused to enter the compound. I went in, called the pastor out and explained to him that they will have to send their speakers inside or i will destroy them . Now the speakers are no longer there and the entire neighbourhood are proud of me, their new fearless hero who is daring god and religion.

Now i have over 100 followers in my area alone. they show up in droves every evening to listen to my sermon. They are no longer afraid of Jesus and moses and elijah etc. They now believe that bible was written by man. They now understand that the only reason why they even go to church was because they were threatened with eternal hell fire....

Imagine that one of the, even suggested that i rent a warehouse where people will be coming to know the truth.
All in all, bring them closer, show them love and tell them the truth. Most of them are just scared of hell fire.

I even asked them what they think they will do in heaven if they get there?
A world without, sex, alcohol, parties, nada.... Only singing and praying... Why would any sane person wanna go there?
