BlowBack:Documented history for example - http://www.lagosat50.org.ng/history/history-of-lagos Unlike you, show me your "Scientific paper" ![]() |
deomello:He has "scientific paper" on it, he just doesn't know how to show itBlowBack: :Stop spewing rubbish that you can not back up with facts. ![]() |
BlowBack:Are you blind and deaf? when did I ever claim to be a Lagosian? It is someone who is ashamed of his heritage, or one who is covetous that claims another's. I am from Osun State...... Osogbo to be precise. I need no basis to claim to be a Lagosian when I am proud of my heritage. Can the same be said of you? |
OBAGADAFFI:1. is it any brainier that having lived all my life in Lagos, gives me the exposure to know who the true Lagosians are? Like I told the other one, show me any documented evidence that Otodo-Gbame has a Lagosian ancestry 2. Was Ijora Badia saga also a market? |
BlowBack:Let me assume that as usual you will not bother to provide "scientific evidence" of the ancestry of Otodo-Gbame in Lagos ![]() |
BlowBack:See how you just advertised yourself as fake....... |
wristbangle:They cannot afford anything government can provide and it will not solve the problem. Anywhere else govt puts them, another govt or family with legitimate claims will come and remove them. This points only to one direction for them. Return to your roots |
OBAGADAFFI:bla!bla!bla!!! They can never try this is Shomolu? See reasoning!!!!! When they did it at Oshodi, did hell come down? When they did it at Ijora Badia, did the end of the world come? Meanwhile, I am not Lagosian, despite the fact that I've lived all my life & own properties in Lagos. |
ZombiePUNISHER:Exactly what was done in context |
igbodefender:You started with a "plausible" arguement....then you got into the bolded and you messed it up |
BlowBack:Why don't you start by putting up a "scientific paper"? Even if NL is filled with gullible people, at least respect the sensibilities of the "literate" ones |
ZombiePUNISHER:Then carry them go meet FG na! What makes it the duty of Lagos state government to be bound to providing shelter for foreigners that occupy Lagos state lands? |
Malawian:Ancestral what? |
Max24:When someone makes a claim and gives no reference (either scientific or any other), don't you know it is intoxication talkingBlowBack: :Are u sure of what you are saying? That Lekki and environs will be submerged . |
wristbangle:Govt provide alternate accommodation for them? Sentiments aside, that holds no water. You want to send a signalling effect that to get accommodation in Lagos, just go and occupy a government areas, when development gets to that place, govt is supposed to give you accommodation........ Trust me, it does not work. |
ZombiePUNISHER:In sane climes, you hardly go an occupy a land that is not yours. All areas are marked, even if development has not commenced. Govt WILL EJECT you if you put up as little as a shack in those lands. Have you looked at the development plans or document of Lagos state and what that place was ear-marked for? Meanwhile, the issue of resettling them is neither here not there? Are the bonafide citizens of Lagos State? Do they have ancestral heritage or what will be so binding that make govt give them another land? As someone who had been a "victim" of govt demolition (old Akanimodo/Ajelogo market Mile-12), truth is if you're living in any part of Lagos, either as a community or cooperative, and their is no valid document to your tenure, you're living on borrowed times |
michaelwilli:First off, there is no measure of registration-examination-release of result for JAMB to date that was effective. They all needed improvement. Secondly, changing is "upsetting" at-times but desired. Now, your "supposed" wasting of time is the least of your problem. In my Jamb days, we spent days in crowded areas at the old Ikoyi crescent, either to purchase form, to submit or check results. What was more important was for us to write, pass with good score and get into the university. I don't know how some of you lot want to expend so much energy blaming the registrar when there are various alternatives to simplify this process. The easiest to me being below; 1. Create your profile on the Jamb portal 2. Go to any bank and pay to the the PIN sent to the email you used to create the profile 3. Validate your registration with the pin They even made it easier for you, you can download a mobile app? Haba! this generation. A lot of you get a lot you find social media easy but when it comes to what is academic, then you come up with loads of complaints....... |
OlujobaSamuel:The wickedness started from those that worked on the law. They rushed out to published a law that was not well thought through and was not thorough in coverage. Truth is the FG will only release what they want released (law or no law), and the states are not bound by the law. The law is almost ineffective at this stage |
Youlinsovicom:My brother, The unfortunate thing is that those that brought the law left that lacunae. The first state to point that out was Lagos state, when information was sought. The Lagos state government pointed out that the FOI is not binding on states. That is the position of the law (not that I like it). My point is, those requesting information from State governments and parastatals quoting FOI are as ignorant and foolish as they come. Why quote a wrong premise/reference or law as basis of your demands? |
OlujobaSamuel:You've said everything bros.............. Meanwhile, I agree that the Sec is an idddddiiiooootttt!!!!!.............. but people seeking information should stop taking approach that will not work, stop fight a battle they have already lost. Quoting FOI to request for information from a state organ is tantamount to shouting at the deaf. |
michaelwilli:The bolded statement of yours turns logic upside down. More like saying the stress outweighs your future!!! |
Anikulhapo:While you are have a swell time with your idiotic posting ...... you should know that you have just displayed the height of octane idiocy. Pray tell, what is the thrust of your needless, religious insensitive and myopic rant? This same nonsense was posted on twitter had met a brickwall and people have put the poster in the cesspit.....a rightful place for such. You now run to NL where you know you will see gullible and idiotic folks to hail this your irresponsible submission.........you should bury your head in shame. |
Lifestone:Bros, I think you're preaching to the wrong forum. These lost souls will not comprehend you. I mean, I takes a foolish OP to post an insensitive thread that make no sense and for other id.iots to follow suite. First off, what has his studying Islamic studies got to do with his capability for leadership. Secondly who told you Islamic studies is not scholarship? This is how many of some Christians (I assume you are one......and I am one as well) get so insensitive, making no sense and coming out with crude arrogance. For the records, the new mode of Jamb registration is actually an improvement on the previous mode. It will take an illiterate not to be able to register. If you can create an account and log-in into it like Nairaland, facebook, snapchat and co and you have difficulty in registering on Jamb portal that follows the same model, then you must be the dumbest of a lot. I wonder what is the worry about registration centers when you can do it at the convenience of your phone....... So who is the mistake? |
Splashme:Bros, If you can comprehend this, know that you're are in the wrong forum. This is section is for sane men |
eezeribe:The Gf has done that already....... |
fkj950ax:In fact he obviously couldn't even figure out something as simple and elementaryJeus: :You obviously don't know how newspaper celebration advert marketing works! |
gistyinka:Some bloggers are as useless as they come. They comprehend issue in reverse mode, rush to publish and come out looking stupid. |
Psittacus:I am a bit emotional about your cause, not because you tagged me, but much more because I will have taken a path like yours. I have a first degree in Zoology, with speciality in Genetics. My supervisor wanted me to continue as a research assistant, but I got a job in the private sector and had a partial "calling" for IT back then. I still fancy my littel work in genetics (Speciation) Now to your plight....... Have you considered looking for sponsorship? Write to friends, family, church, NGOs, scholarship boards etc. You are can get assistance where you do not imagine. Consider looking towards the Scandinavian countries, follow people with related interest on twitter like Dr. Dipo Awojide https://twitter.com/OgbeniDipo, who can furnish you with information about scholarship opportunities in the UK |
AlanTuringAI:You are not objective, in fact you're simply demonstrating more of needless emotion than objective thinking. So what was significant about Aregbesola's tenure in 2015-2016? Salaries!!!! virtually every other state apart from Lagos faced the same predicament. What made Aregbesola's own different? I hope you know that of the lot, he even devised a "reasonable" approach to alleviate the gap. It is on record that Aregbesola constituted a joint committee of Labour and govt to oversee the payment of salaries. It is not any wonder that while the likes of Ekiti and Ondo (a state that got 13% derivation) owed in excesses of 7-10months (as at the last BudgetIT report) Aregbesola owed only a month. The issue of a church providing food to the people was a good gesture, but needless publicity to it. Who were they providing food for? The civil servants? what is the percentage of civil servants compared to the rest of the populace in Osun to make you arrive at an uninformed conclusion that it is reflective of the general populace? If the same analysis is conducted today, will Osun still maintain the position? I dare say yes! Check the criteria again 1. Education - Years of Schooling (Enrollment) & Attendance - In fact a recent publication showed that both enrolment (impact of model schools?) and school attendance (thanks to free meals) had increased. The both translated to over 40% in WAEC performance compared to previous yearly average. 2. Health Nutrition & Child mortality - The school feeding programme continues to count as one of his greatest intervention. That he did not stop the programme despite the challenges of paying salaries in 2015/16, in the context of this analysis shows that he intended to sustain the programme. 3. Standard of Living Food - Osun is rated as one of the front liner states in Argriculture. Aregbesola's model is what the current govt is expatiating at the national levels. It is instructive that some nothern states has recently gone to Osun to learn from some of their models and they are replicating it on a larger scale Sanitation - He learnt and implemented the waste management model in Lagos Water & Assets - his investment in roads, water projects and other infrastructure has not stopped. So tell me how another survey and analysis will be conducted based on these criteria and he will fall short. I told you earlier, these report is not based on feelings but facts. It is instructive to know that from the middle of 2016, Aregbe re-jigged and continue his schools, road and infrastructure projects with vigour. Also within the period, he partnered with a Chinese firm for Cocoa processing with the Cocoa processing plant in Ede. The Oni of Ife bought into the Cocoa revolution and made investment with his 1million cocoa trees for youth empowerment. All these happened in the same 2015/16 you referred to. wrt being ipod, I am not even interested if you choose to be one or not. |
AlanTuringAI:Many of you just let out rubbish, without bothering to reason what criteria was used to develop this stats. If you bothered to think about it, you will know that the criteria used is not "eye catching projects". The criteria used were mainly based on 3 categories - Education, Health and Standard of Living, now subdivided into ten indicators. That is why responsible government's projects should among others be geared towards addressing the multidimensional poverty index as stipulated by UN. It is not about pictures, fancy buildings and obviously not about the lies you lot tell yourselves about Osun. It is about simple indicies of life like enrolment, school attendance, nutrition, child mortality rate, access to food and water, rural electricity, cooking fuels and sanitation |
Ikengawo:Why are you reducing the quality of this discourse to your level? The are criteria used to come up with the ratings, did you read it? Your needless show of pictures to argue against a detailed statistical analysis, simply tells me you are incapable of reasoning at this level. To be pained is not bad, you're entitled to it.....but to show it with a high level of ignorance is comical... ![]() |
