I know I deserve all the bashing I'm receiving here and more. But I wonder why it's very difficult for most to believe that I'm actually repentant about the whole thing. I know I really hurt my man which is part of my pain. I can never repeat such action no matter the circumstances with what I've learnt and I believe if I am lucky enough to get a second chance I'll be a much better version of myself and be forever grateful. It happened in the car because I wouldn't have agreed to follow him elsewhere by then it would be premeditated. I rejected every of his attempt to meet him anywhere else. Those were moments of weakness although it cannot be justified.
It would seem to me you're suffering from an entitlement mentality. You believe you've done your part in coming clean and he should do his part by forgiving and ......... deserve a second change....and everything gets reset to default mode. Unfortunately cases like these hardly play that way. Telling you he has forgiven you, may in actual fact mean finding peace of mind for him; more like letting you go in peace so that he can heal. Asking for a second chance and this early is like forcing it. Do you understand the implication(s) of CONSEQUENCES? Forgiveness does not absolve you or facing it. It's like a scar.

My tots (not advise) - Let things take its natural cause. Don't even expect a second chance......

Even if this story were to be true, what do we do with the information?
Allen had always talked about the "role" he played in securing "peace" in the Niger Delta. Such efforts anywhere in the world come at a cost for "consultancy'. I wonder if he was also paid for the Benue peace deal.
These things happen in every government. Recall that former CBN Governor Sanusi paid El Rufai a whooping N5b as consultancy fee for a one-page document he wrote. The thing about such consultancy fees is that it is unregulated. Managers of security vote know better.
Thank you.
And the cost of such "consultancy" to loot the common patrimony of the Niger-Delta people? Please stop turning logic on the head. The report is not talking about consultancy fees. The report is talking about money laundering through fronts and blatant corrupt stealing.

The biggest mistake this guy made was coming out to personally to announce that his company was going to airlift Nigerians stuck in South Africa during the crisis.

If he really wanted to help and wanted to maintain a low profile, He could have let the announcement be done by his company with a strict warning not put his name and also let the govt take the glory for it. How many times do you hear Adenuga making announcements for Glo?

It was this singular act that brought his case to the attention of the law enforcement agencies in the US. The DEA had started covert investigation on him before then. The real challenge was that he left a clear trail. That monies used in purchasing planes came through an account registered as NGO; that his aviation company in the US hardly did any aviation business and managed by someone who has no antecedent in aviation...

BTW, why won't these people that have stolen monies learn to do quiet business and shun the spotlight? Why airline business? Why not start by importing consumables and beverages, or go into agriculture, or import electronics and generators? Or import raw materials for factories? Just do something that will not bring you into the spotlight. It is only natural, you can hardly conceal stolen or wealth acquired fraudulently.... with the amount of monies stolen, commodities business is a share waste of time and energies..

Better still, buy your planes from China or Europe. The best Ghanaian Airline is run with a fleet of planes from China. Nobody questions the money that goes into China, all they want is money.

He who comes to equity must come with cleans hands. You cannot use stolen wealth or money to buy goodwill. Be guided! The bible says..."Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel."Prov 20:17. ....

Jonathan is not an intelligent man.

He did not utilize the power of incumbency to closed out this issues staring at him.

He was looking for a nobel peace prize as a democrat.

Now that the chips are down.

He will be hounded by the americans.

There is very little Oyeama can do.

At a stage he will back out to tell the world the whole truth.

Most importantly, all must be on deck to protect peace airline.

We should not continue to destroy good things no matter their dirty background.

Homes are being feed from the money Peace Airline is generating.

Marriages are being sustained from the money Peace Airline is generating.

So lets pray for the Almighty to take over the case.
There is hardly anything good that can be sustainably built on faulty foundation. Air Peace is marked. At this rate those jobs you seek to protect are technically on their way out. Airline business is sustainably funded by structured financing. Even before this new broke out, the rumour mill had it that Air Peace was already struggling. Jimi Disu had quipped on radio when Air Peace ferried home our brothers in SA, that it was more a publicity stunt to save a dying enterprise. Institutional lenders will not want to meddle in any Air Peace wahala. Equity holders will begin to see it as a "keep-off" terrain.

How will Osun not lack industrialization when for a long time our people believe Osun is a "Civil Servants" state. We should thank God for Aregbesola that used agidi to raise the ante on infrastructural development and industrialization.

This development was sequel to the opening of the Mall recently for business and provision of services.

The visibly excited residents trooped out in their numbers.

According to Aderele, the Mall would boost the economy of the state and its standard.
This is a good development.

I understand your point..but i think a more rational thing to do was to order Slok to pay up all the money accrued via fraud..Not to take over everything...My opinion though#
1. SLOK as a body also needs to be punished. The punishment is the judgement that they be wound up
2. SLOK may not be able to pay up. A company badly managed is up to a point that it was the conduit of 7.1b fruad does not deserve to continue in existence
3. SLOK's Balanced Sheet may not even be in a position to survive. Why should they be given time to refund monies that was stolen? What signals will it send to others? Soon companies will be reliant on political principals to plunder states as source of funding?

“How can you say a company (Slok) that has been in existence before he became governor should be wind up? Does it make sense?.”

If he is guilty, he should be jailed..but the slok company should be left alone to avoid sending back the employees to the labour market!
SLOK Board of Directors that allowed it to be used for fraud should bear the consequences of its winding down. Again, REALITY CHECK! Employees are at the far end of the stick in the order of importance of a company, especially in this scenario.

Nigeria will be back again after this messing leaders are gone. thank God very soon, because my aspiring youths are opening their eyes now, very soon all these mess will stop and let the ones that have wisdom rule this country for once.
I think you guys are making some misunderstanding. Let me elaborate below

1. The VALUE of the fraud is 7.1b
2. Technically that money is gone - stolen and consumed
3. What is left will be what can be recovered, and I believe that is the reason the judgement wants SLOK (vehicle of the loot) to be wound down .
4. As it is SLOK may be insolvent at the moment, to the extent that when his assets are sold off there may still be debts? As such there is nothing to remit to either Abia nor FG.
5. Except EFCC/NFIU can start tracing the channels the monies went and start a repatriation process. This will be like another journey of 5-7-10yrs.

Slok Holdings is a conglomerate.

He can't move the funds used to run his chains of businesses unless he wants to crash them.

I just need the EFFC to be rational, strategic and professional in their approach.

They can change the board of the group and keep the businesses running successfully.

The agency should not destroy it like they did to Rainbownet and Cosmo FM, thus worsening the issue of unemployment.

The judgement says "wind down". Slok cannot LEGALLY exist anymore
