Ok
I won't have any pity on him, he thinks ass licking the Fulani Masters will exonerate him from persecution. More trying times for many South East Business men, Buhari is out to crush the economic strength of the South Easterners and render them economically impotent. But man is not God, if we can rise from the Debris of the Civil war to control virtually every sector of Nigeria economy then this is just a cube of sugar in an Ocean.

Meanwhile I don't support looting but what is good for the geese is also good for the ganda, still waiting for EFCC to prosecute our Boulion Van Master.
1. So the reason you won't have pity on him is because he's deemed a Fulani ass-licker; and not because of the his misdeeds and consequences?
2. So you want God to support thieves provided they are South-easterners, especially someone established to have stolen SE wealth?

FG Approves National Transportation University in Daura — Amaechi
The Federal Executive Council has approved construction of the $50 million (N18bn) Transportation University to be located in Daura, Katsina State which was billed to commence by next year, the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said.

Briefing journalists in Abuja recently, the minister said the university would be built by China Civil and Construction Company (CCECC).

The project was part of the Federal Government’s efforts to develop qualified manpower that would manage the many railways facilities across the country and other transportation facilities, Amaechi added.

In addition to Katsina, another Transportation University might be built in Rivers State to meet the growing demand of manpower in the transportation sector.

He said the contract has already been awarded to CCECC and the construction would have commenced if the governor of Katsina State had provided land for it, adding that once the state government provided the land, CCECC will mobilize to site and fence the land for construction to start.

He said the young Nigerians being trained on scholarship in China on Railway Engineering upon completion of their studies would be deployed to teach in those universities for a period of time before they are allowed to do other endeavours.

“If we get the land, the fencing will start this year. The CCECC has written to ask for land from the state government,” he said.

Too many daft people full this thread

1. You have never heard of University of Transportation before?

The Korea National University of Transportation (KNUT) is a public, national university in Chungju City, North Chungcheong province, South Korea. The university was created in 2012 by merging Chungju National University and Korea National Railroad College. Chungju National University was established in 1962 in Chungju, which is one of the public Universities that established after independence. Korea National University is the only public university specialized and focused their education and research on transportation and communication on top of Engineering and Technology.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea_National_University_of_Transportation
2. You did not know that this project was one of the agreement on the Rail Project with Chinese govt that they will build a specialized university for Technology transfer, where Nigerians will be trained on Train Assembly, Maintenance, Communications and Signals etc?

....According to him, the establishment of the University was an attempt at responding to the question of how we (Nigeria) will maintain the infrastructure we are building in the country, NAN reports.
He said: ”It is my attempt at responding to the question of how to maintain and manage all the infrastructure we are building and realised that education is key.
”I engaged the companies, the first engagement was when they were constructing Lagos-Ibadan rail.
“They were not so keen on spending their funds to build a university for Nigeria until I refused to sign the contract for Lagos to Ibadan railway.
”I insisted that I will only sign if three things were done.
“The first thing is to take our children to China and train them by giving them first degree in railway technology.
”Today as I speak, 60 of our children are in their second year and we thank CCECC and 90 are on their way to China this week, making it 150.
”The second is that, if we must sign the purchase of locomotives in China, they must build a factory where we can construct coaches, locomotives and wagons and today at Kajola that factory is being constructed.
”Finally, I insisted on the University of transportation
and today we are here for the groundbreaking of the University and for all we are grateful to CCECC and the Chinese government.”
3. You have a problem with Amaechi situating this university in Daura, yet have no problem with Maritime University situated in Gbaramatu or a Federal University of Otueke? Dem take unabated hatred swear for una? Well keep complaining and commot road, let those that are ready recieve this with thanks. Ogun state already has the rail assembly plant situated in their domain and are grateful....

Business › Re: SEPLAT Contravenes Local Content Policy With Foreign MD by mapet: 7:26pm On Nov 28, 2019

Tabithatim: :
The plan by the management of Seplat Petroleum Development Company to replace the outgoing Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Austin Avuru, with a Briton negates Section 30-36 of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act and defeats the country’s Local Content (LC) policy.

Avuru, the pioneer MD/CEO of Seplat, is set to retire in July 2020 after leading the oil firm for 10 years. Following the development is a corporate disclosure at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) that Roger Brown, the firm’s Chief Financial Officer/Executive Director and a Briton, will succeed Avuru next year.

According to public affairs analyst, Aimhie Odin, considering his leadership at Seplat, Avuru, with over 38 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, has done more for the sector as a Nigerian, which suggests that there are more Nigerians in the sector and company to continue from where he stops.

He said the NCDMB Act made it clear that “at the point where no Nigerian is fit to lead in the position for lack of training, the board should ensure effort is made with reasonable time for a Nigerian to be trained.” Odin noted that SEPLAT came into existence in June 2009 through the partnership of Shebah Petroleum Development Company Limited and Platform Petroleum Joint Ventures Limited, specifically pursue upstream oil and gas opportunities in Nigeria, and in particular divestment opportunities arising out of the incumbent Major IOC’s portfolios.

Having Avuru lead Seplat over the years has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing local content. He said Seplat had the potential to support further local capacity expansion projects with the forthcoming Assa North-Ohaji South Project (ANOH), one of the largest greenfield gas condensate development projects being undertaken in Nigeria.

It involves the development of the Ohaji South gas and condensate field located within the licence block OML 53 and the Assa North field in license block OML 21. The project has significant gas supply for the local grid. The phase one development of ANOH midstream is expected to cost $700 million, of which the JV of Seplat and NGC will fund $420 million.

According to him, Seplat is also strategically positioned to provide a sustainable solution for the LPG shortages in the company. These represent strategic economic security projects, which cannot be entrusted to foreigners with no long term view.“Having a foreigner taking over from an indigene tend to is a set back of the growth of real income per capita and job creation in Nigeria which give the opportunity to reverse the population decrease trend.

“Amidst some pitfalls and risks accompanying the appointment of Brown, the transition if allowed to stand is significantly a set back for the gains of the local content program and rubbish all the progress maxed over the past five years.

“The LC policy since its establishment has played a key role in the advancement of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, giving first consideration to Nigerian independent operators, creating a platform for the Nigerian firms to contribute immensely towards the growth of the Nigerian economy. The move in Seplat, giving out direct opportunities for employment to foreign nationals, shows a neglect of developing local skills and use of local manpower. The move provides a framework to support the expatriation of revenues that would otherwise have powered the Nigerian economy,” he stated.

https://guardian.ng/news/seplat-contravenes-local-content-policy-with-foreign-md/
The LC policy that brought so many indigenous companies that owe workers salary to no end. I know Seplat is not one of them though. Please let the man be abeg.
Aside from Avuru/A.B.C Orjiokor investment vehicle, this CFO represent the French/British SPV that holds a substantial portion of the investment in SEPLAT. It will be difficult to spin a local content narrative in this. These guys are part owners of SEPLAT. It only makes sense to that MD-ship is rotated amongst the principal investors.

Although it’s an academic event but the reality is that real practioners would attend. What happens in such gathering is that actual rituals are not done because not everyone there is initiated. Usually, basic information is passed and especially since that is not an ideal environment, more like talking about the theory aspect and leaving the practical aspects for practioners.
However, members of certain covens who are present would share invitations and introduction of prospective individuals would take place on the side, must likely without the knowledge of the organizers. Witch craft initiation is always by referrals.
Things might become a little murky if rival groups start acting up especially those who are contesting for supremacy in whatever matter.

In all, don’t except to see flying brooms and boiling cauldrons of spiders and toads because such open event does allow for proper incantations and lacks the materials to enhance the fusion of underworld with the physical.
Rubbish!

1. Even if rituals are performed there, how does that affect you or infringe on your right? If they share invitation, and you're not interested, then what is your problem? If some are interested and take the offer, what is your problem still?

2. Your submission shows that you didn't even bother to read what the conference is about......

Mrs Uchendu, you are a woman of courage for resisting these fanatics, but be careful they can resort to the unthinkable. Christians are practicing their religion freely and the fanatical hypocrites want to deny witches and wizard their rights. The witches and wizards must be peacemakers indeed to have kept their cool so far. Shame on the troublemakers. This world belongs to all of us - Christians, muslims, ogboni, atheists, witches, wizards etc.
As a Christian I laugh when I see myopic and Christo-Illiterate tendencies and behaviours of fellow Christians. Hypocrites! I agree with you, but a dangerous one I dare add. First and foremost, universities are academic institution of learning. It is a hub of knowledge, where researches are done and new knowledge are discovered and shared. Universities are not a platform for religious competition.

Secondly, these sets of "Christians" needs to be stopped. They are a potential threat to a free society. They are godless and simply political. They are a potential El-Zakizaki and co.

Thirdly these folks are foolish. Research is an interesting and good phenomenom. As a doctoral student, I have been exposed to researchers in top grade universities in the world who have committed to studies of witches and wizardry in Africa and all over the world. Don't those academic institutions have Chrisitan Students Union? The difference is that they have better use of their time than to commit it to follies

pamelaayomide:
Nairalanders I am actually typing this with fear of what to come.

I am an active member of this forum but change moniker by registering and creating a new one here to hide my identity.

Origin...

I met my boyfriend in school actually we were in the same department at funnab. We did things together. We were in love and had sex when we feel like it. We planned to get married after school.

Mistake...

I went to a birthday party of one of my close friends, I had three friends and we are like clique.
During the party I got drunk and the guy that took us to the party in his car took advantage of my drunken state and had sex with me and make it look like it is consensual. During the act I know what was happening but was too weak and blurred. I didn't know there was a video recording of the act. When I woke up the guy was no where to be found so I kept it to myself.

Blackmail...

When my guy found out that I cheated on him, he was furious. I denied it initially but when he showed me the sex clip I admitted it but defended myself on the ground that it was rape and not consensual. I summon courage and asked him how did he come up with the sex tape but that he would not answer to. He left that moment and I start feeling that he knows something about the tape and wants to blackmail.

Threat...

He showed up one day at my hostel and threaten to leak the tape online. I begged him profusely not to do that but he said my plea and tears are waste of time. That he will let everyone know the kind of loose lady I am for betraying and cheating on him. That I will regret the day I met him. That I doesn't deserve his love.

Currently...

He is yet to release the clip but may actually do that with what is happening to the Babcock ex student.

What should I do to stop him before he destroys me.
Protect yourself. Report to the Police. Technically you're toast already.....don't let him burn you up the more

Ports are also planned for Akwa Ibom and Calabar, not to mention Bonny.

This government is not pro-business like the multiple exchange rates and border closure really demonstrates. It think it is but it's not. The lousy economic growth rates attests to it

Best thing government can do is to set up a Special Economic Zone which will drum up a lot of business for the port.
Many of you just "throw words" and leave out logic

1. Is there enough business to sustain the ports? you ask. I wonder if you're oblivious to the clamour for Lagos ports to be de-congested? So there must be enough business in Warri before FG-driven port project must come to Warri? Even if other proximal regions have overwhelming business activites that requires accessibility to ports? to you No! they must all wait for Warri to have enoush buiness.

2. Multiple exchange rates? Na today? Care to explain to me what govt can do in this regard.

3. Boarder closure? Bros, sharrap dia!. So the government will be deemed Pro-Business when it overlooks the fraudulent activities of smuggling, disregard of trade agreements by neighboring countries at the expense of Nigeria, killing of local manufacturers and agri-preneurs?
4. Your Special Economic Zones suggestion had been in the works by many govts including the current, so tell us what we don't know.....
