A "Tribal Bigot" Sunday Nwafor of Vanguard reported the story in the first place; or what is the essence of ethnic identities (7 Yorubas & 6 Igbos) of the accused in the reportage?. One would have expected the editorial team of Vanguard to have expunged the rubbish but when you remember that Vanguard itself is being led by another bigot, in fact ”Editor-in-Chief-Bigot" a.k.a Sam Amuka Pemu of the “Sophisticated Morons” fame, then you should not be surprised.

For all you know the writer and Vanguard never intended to report crime, but to celebrate "our criminals are lesser than yours”

We humans are like animals in the wild. Our sense of judgement differs. This is a hard reality. We just tend to feel their are outlined principle.

People have been slapped and they walked away. People have been slapped and they reciprocated. People have been slapped and they took a life for such action.

Judgement varies, and so is our instincts
You are just giving vague analogies. Simple question is what in your view warrants the taking of human life. You questioned the "innocence" of the Catholic priest, in response to nuban07 position on the killing of an "innocent" man. So I ask you again, even if the Catholic priest is "guilty", what in your view will warrant the taking of his life?

I am more concerned with the police that revealed her identity . This is what corruption leads to unfortunate and devastating occurrences.

Some years ago, my late Father-in-law had boys like those next door. These one are (they still exist at the place till date) menace to the community. They are Yahoo boys, involved in drugs and Aiye cult.... they even intimate young girls to join their clique and these girls get wasted.

When their wahala became too much for my Father- in-Law, he told us. Wifey used her links in the Police and the place was raised, and many arrested. 24hrs later these boys were in my Father-in-law's house... came to beg him. They found out he was the one that invited the police.

We were so afraid that the Police could leak our identity. In fact we were of the opinion that they spared my Father-in-law because their leader is the son of his late friend.

We simply called off the case and told the police we're no more interested in pursuing the case.

Oga if you’re running nuts like you claimed you wouldn’t add all the flimsy details about giving your wife money knowing fully well how much it triggers the boys on this forum, after all if you don’t give your wife money who will?

I don’t understand why you need to add the “she practically doesn’t work” part if you really don’t want your wife to be insulted by kids on this forum.

Your sex life is NOT anyone’s business and it’s also not for public consumption so why do you need to add that detail?

If you feel your wife doesn’t love you, don’t you think she’s on the best position to answer that instead of exposing your family to ridiculous advice from never do wells?

now its pretty obvious you only want to argue over some of the things you know nothing about but anyways let me make this clear, i never for once made mention of twitter handle and I never for once said I belong to any authority assessing the educational sector in the state..... And its left for you to believe the pedestrian lies after all I don't know you and you don't know me..You stay in another state and you are arguing with someone residing there.. Nawa for you sha... Anyways, we can only know each other if you have a project for me to handle or probably get me a super cool paying job.... Other than that, I do not have the strength to further drag this with you.... Stay blessed fam
1. My error there, NL handle I meant.
2. That you reside in Osun as alleged is not even enough evidence not to question you capability to make sensible assessment. I have a house in Powerline area mind you.
3. What I don't even get is throwing vague words in the name of some "projects", not information about the specifics and how relevant it is to assess educational sector in Osun. you think that we are as ignorant ?

well so sure you are wrong in terms of education.... I personally was involved in a project that involves me going round all public schools and I can say Osun is far lagging behind in terms of education... Structure wise, we have it... But others am sure not! ...... Also, this present administration hasn't done anything and I can boldly say that
1. Beyond your twitter handle, we do not know who you are and when you've become an authority to assess eduction in Osun
2. You were involved in a project so what? Whatever the project was and it's relevance to the discourse?
3. If you were really "involved" or you knew about Education and the strategy to improve education in Osun (your submission tells me otherwise), how you divorce "structure" from others shows ignorance
4. Boldly saying, no facts to back it up....other than I was involved in a project. You people tell "pedestrian lies"......

Some people will just read headline meant to inflame you without recourse to the whole article, without sentiments do we really have to make an issue out of anything? Which state government doesn't buy vehicles for its lawmakers in Nigeria? And just so you know I can beat my chest that the last and present administration in Osun is doing outstandingly well for the development of the state, both in infrastructure and education, I stay in the wealthier Ogun state and it can't hold a candle to the government projects in Osun. I'm less familiar with the North but the SE and SS are pretty much disappointing in terms of development. If indeed you read the script you'd see them acknowledging that there's a backlog to clear but they are doing their best.
outstandingly well indeed undecided undecided... Alaye, if you are not living in Osun, don't confirm anything.....
I am an Osun indigene. I frequently visit home. I was home this weekend. I went round town. I saw. I spoke to people.......I can confirm that in terms of Education and Infrastructural development, both the previous and the current administration have top marks.

We need to be careful about how the media tend to mislead with narrartives skewed to serve purposes other than progress. Do law makers deserve cars? Yes the law provides for it. Is the cars purchased for law makers affecting pension payment? Absolutely not. I spent the weekend in Osogbo and on Saturday this announcement was reiterated on radio.

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola on Wednesday approved the sum of N500 million for payments of entitlements to retirees under the Contributory Pensions Scheme in the state. He also approved the immediate release of the sum to ensure that the retired workers get their dues. A statement issued by the state’s Head of Service, Dr. Oyebade Olowogboyega disclosed that the beneficiaries were picked on merit and monitored by the group’s executive committee.

The statement added names of beneficiaries will be made public through the public notice board of the State Pension Board today (Thursday). According to it, Governor Oyetola will present bond certificates to the beneficiaries next week Friday. Similarly, the governor also approved the release of N50 million to offset the gratuities of retired workers under the old pension scheme as well. “Under this category, two hundred and fifty (250) retirees have been picked on merit for payment and payment cheques will be given to the beneficiaries from Today (Thursday) February 6, 2020”.

“The list of the affected retirees are already made public on the Notice Boards of the State Pension Bureau and the Ministry of Information”. “The state pension Bureau appreciates Mr. Governor for being very sensitive to the plight of the pensioners and the workers generally”, it added. vanguard

But hey, I think I need to remind us that the Second Niger bridge was commissioned as Public Private Partnership Project.
