Yeah I know they need to have a majority voting power. My friend still had 56% voting power, the board threatened him with a hostile takeover and got his friend who shares that 56% with him to vote. But still seeing some this CEO has no shares in that NHIS, thus rendering voting a majority voting power null and void, a simple raising of hand can suspend or sack him. Isn't that so?
This your comparing "apples and oranges" is a needless exercise. The laws are clear and simple as it is

This* and claims to be smart. Tueh for you!
Isn't That why they are there? I am speaking as someone who has seen 3 CEOS removed by the board. I don't know how it's done in Nigeria, but boards have powers to sack. I have seen a guy who lost his position as chairman and CEO of board the same day, sacked by no other business the board. Keep thinking that everyone on nairaland is a mumu.
Only Nigeria is where a board can't sack but make recommendations. Smh
Very disingenuous of you.... State "standards" without recourse to the law...

Does the minister have such powers ? Because the minister sacked this man and Buhari reinstated him
Nope. Even the minister has no such powers... This much was said when Kemi Adeosun suspended an ED. The law is that either the minis or the board makes recommendations for suspension to the president who then can direct such based on his own investigation

Listen, I didn't dispute the numbers. In fact it's normal because we are the most populous nation and have the highest number of people living below poverty line. That's my logic? What logic do you have Mr Logic?
Your logic is twisted and did not diligently look at the context within which it was predicted to be the largest in Africa. What your logic has simply done is the lazy-man reasoning (so we are the most populous, hence the largest). I have explained to you that the context looks at the capacities of the countries involved and compared to others. If Ghana with their population demonstrates a capacity that showed more children on the program in relation to enrollment or total number of schools, more cooks compared to total number of potential cooks within a catchment area (same for farmers, poultry farmers, transporters etc), then Ghana with a lower population can be rated to have a larger program.

Pls, save us this unnecessary bragging-rights on some low-level platform. You sha want us to know you can prepare food.........

The program is talking about children in public schools, most of whom their parents are unable to afford good and nutritious meals. We are talking about these children having access to good food so that they can be in proper frame of mind to learn. We are talking about value-chain (Cooks, Farmers, Poultry, transport, packaging etc) you are taking about "Tufiakwa!"......some of you the just came out of the village, "the village" has not come out of you

SCAM!
Is the food a motivation to attend school or what exactly is the motive?

Why not provide jobs for their parents to earn a decent wage and cater for their own children?

That food might serve as a distraction to learning. Some of them will only be interested in the food.

This is CORRUPTION in disguise.
So because of that, you refused to go to school?

I wonder why can't things just be done without using yourself as a measure or standard of Africa.

That's why we are fooled because we are made to believe that we are better than the rest of Africa.

It is supposed to be the largest because we have the largest population and highest number of people living below the poverty line.

What does he expect?
Nope,

This is how some of you turn logic southwards.

It is the largest in terms of comparative capacity and output.

According to him, "at current numbers, the programme costs $1,767,169.48 per day and over $183million has been invested so far in the programme. The programme employs 95,422 cooks, and over 100,000 smallholder farmers linked to the programme, supplying locally sourced ingredients. This translates to 594 cattle, 138,000 chickens, 6.8 million eggs, 83 metric tons of fish that are procured, prepared, and distributed each week. As you can imagine, the quantity of starch and vegetables required for this program on a weekly basis is equally impressive".
Other benefits achieved under the programme include a ready market and a sustainable income for our farmers, as well as improved livelihoods for cooks with access to useful and affordable financial products and services that meet their needs. "Financial inclusion is a key enabler to reducing poverty and boosting prosperity".

"Moreover, with the capturing of their biometrics and the opening of bank accounts as a prerequisite to their participation in the programme, we are ramping up on our country’s needs for identification, planning and social inclusion efficiencies in Nigeria."
He told the audience that the success of the programme in a short time is due to factors such as unequivocal political will, transparency and accountability, good value for all participants in the value chain, multi-sectoral coordination and strategic partnership with international donors such as Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation and Partnership For Child Development, Imperial College.
Simply turn the numbers to percentages and check those percentages with other African countries

Rivers state factional All Progressives congress(APC) governorship candidate Tonye Dele Cole has picked Hon.Victor Giadom as his running mate in the 2019 governorship elections.

Mr Giadom who is a former commissioner of works is from the same LGA with factional governorship candidate senator Magnus Abe and is also a close ally of minister of transport and leader of the Rivers state APC, Rt.Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

Meanwhile viewsmedia gathered that senator Abe is yet to pick a running mate.

Bros,

Some points of correction
1. Tonye is not a factional candidate. He is the one officially recognized by the National Working Committee of the APC and his name is the one on the PH slot as released by the APC
2. Abe cannot pick a running mate except at another election. He's not recognized by the NWC and his name is not sent to INEC as the APC authentic candidate
