Donzman: When the West decide to destroy Zimbabwe's economy because Mugabe decided to give justice to his people, what do you expect?. . .Whites had no right to that land in the first place, getting rid of them is the RIGHT thing to do. You took it by force and slavery, you shall return it. I really don't know where people like you get this attitude. When will people learn to accept responsibility for their own failures rather than blame others. The facts are there to see. Mugabe destroyed the economy of that country by giving farm lands to people who know nothing about farming just to win popular support. Now a country that used to have enough food to export cannot feed itself without importing food. And you're blaming the West? Donzman: Mugabe is a solid determined leader and I admire him. The craziest, most saddistic, and wicked leaders throughout history have been determined leaders as well. |

Lagos has released their census results "The Lagos State government on Monday released its own population census figure of 17, 553, 924, based on the parallel head count conducted by it, stating that the population census figure earlier released by the National Population Commission was an insult on citizens of Lagos State. Describing the entire project as another barren exercise, the Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu, at a stakeholders' forum/world press conference/ book launch, said the state government would use every arsenal at its disposal to fight against the "injustice perpetrated against the state by the National Population Commission result." The book entitled "Falsification of Lagos Census Figure" was presented to stakeholders to show every detail of how the state government arrived at the 17, 553, 924 figure."

debosky: No mate, we can disagree, unlike what we'll have under your jackboot, totalitarian buhari
No one has spoken of Yar'Adua and what he has achieved/not achieved; simply writing him off because he is Obj's candidate is not sufficient
afterall, the northern elite chose Obj, and he didn't dance to their tune. Buhari was not a fair leader, and a soldier is always a soldier
whether he wears white babariga or not.
please someone should come up with Yar'Adua's antecedents/performances as a civillian elected governor Only analytical info I could find. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070129/lf_nm/nigeria_yaradua_dcI'm have no idea of how much is true in these links. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umaru_Musa_Yar'Adua http://www.yaradua2007.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=26Piddo: This is a simple case of being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. The major power behind Obasanjo's rise to Aso Rock was the support of the late Yar'Adua's mammoth PDM. Leadership of this movement was handed over to Atiku (somehow) and that was why he got the VP slot in the first place with the promise that after the first term, he will take over as President. Now OBJ has brought out an obscure (but full blooded) Yar'Adua jnr merely to checkmate Atiku's power in the PDM. Problem is, in eight years, we never heard anything of this Yar'Adua and I for one didnt even know he was a serving governor. Is this the timid man we expect to rule over the beast called Nigeria? That was a master stroke by OBJ and in my own view, its a defacto third term for OBJ as he will continue to call the shots from Abeokuta. Interesting. Are you suggesting that because he wasn't one of the governors in the limelight, he is automatically weak, timid, and easily manipulated? |

This the same person that requested gun boats from China when America refused to provide the weapons unconditionally. Why is this guy so desperate to be president? http://search.ft.com/ftArticle?page=2&queryText=Atiku&y=8&aje=false&id=060228001088&x=11"Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria's vice-president, told the Financial Times the US had been too slow to help protect the oil-rich Niger Delta from a growing insurgency. He said talks with the US over security plans for the region did not "appear to be moving as fast as the situation is unfolding" and Nigeria was instead sourcing military equipment elsewhere."https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-5553.32.html"Meanwhile, the Federal Government has turned to China for military hardware to protect oil facilities in the troubled Niger Delta.
The recourse to China for arms, according to Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, follows the failure of the United States to help Nigeria in protecting the oil sector.
Abubakar, in an interview with the Financial Times, published on Monday, said the US had been too slow in assisting in protecting the Niger Delta from the spate of attacks by militants." |

If we are to believe the census results, I sure would like to know how they accomplished such a feat.
