PoliticsRe: 2011 Presidency: Name Your Winning Duo by marvix(m): 11:03pm On Mar 06, 2010
In my opinion u tink dis is d best time to dump d zonin arangement and d only way Jonathan can win and rule as president is via a relatively free, fair and credible elections also d only way he can lose afta contestin is thru d same free, fair and credible elections, so in doin that we wld be dumpin d zonin arangement nd getin beta elections.
Having said this d candidates I wld lik to see is Jonathan and Danjuma Goje/Mahmud Yayale this cld be on d platform of d PDP while d mega party can then offer an Umar and Utomi or Shekarau and Ken Nnamani.
Whoever emerges shld be able to run 2 terms not mindin d zone he emerged from.
PoliticsRe: Maintain Status Quo, Twelve Ministers Write Jonathan by marvix(m): 3:27pm On Mar 06, 2010
I trust Jonathan to lay low the Ministers are embolden by d news dat Yaradua will soon be able to show himself.
Fair to them d admin is Yaraduas and not Jonathan, and y shld Jonathan disolve d cabinet as he is only holdin fort for Mr President but he wld stil be able to punish errant ministers.
Jonathan has told them there's no personal issues wit any ministers and d 12 wise men were wrong on d issues of his advisory commite and projects trackin commite and they can only cool down and wait 4 Yaradua to come back
PoliticsRe: • Yar’adua Ready To Meet Jonathan, Mark, Bankole, Katsina-alu by marvix(m): 3:16pm On Mar 06, 2010
Yaradua pls get well soon, show yourself in public, come back to your seat, contest and win the 2nd term you deserve and disapoint al ur critics and cynics many of whom will never and can never reach where u have, whose achievements can't come close and above all show them dat d 7point agenda was neva a short term plan but a wholistic plan to put Nigeria among d top 20 nations in d year 2020.
Welcome Mr President

Just imagine this is wat goes on everywhere in Nigeria when all of u here insist on sendin Ibori nd odas to jail I only ask one question, would this solve our probs. I hav always insisted dat evryone in this country benefits frm coruption in one way or d oda dats y coruption has remained endemic. This adminiatration has rily come to show dat d private sector is equally as corupt as d public sector.
That's my piece
PoliticsRe: Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, Theophilus Danjuma And Company Plc by marvix(m): 9:42pm On Mar 05, 2010
This post makes no sense wat does d wife of Jonathan havin a case wit EFCC has to do wit d advisory comite. Holier than thou attitude will not help dis country and always critising actions of our leaders does us no good. Anytime our leaders say or do somtin d only way it is shown dat we are informed is to start analysing how it wld fail, do we stil rememba wen d amnesty prog was launched by Mr President, TELL magazine came up wit d headline "Why d Amnesty Deal wil Fail" but today thanks b 2 God its stil on course.
For those of u who can't c d writing of Goodluck, he has just set up credible people who should work on ensuring that he gets d presidency in 2011 don't 4get he set up a comitte to look into all federal projects reports gotten frm dis investigation wil b used to put dose against his presidency in check, just let's kip watchin as events unfold
PoliticsRe: How Anenih Doctors Edo State Budget by marvix(m): 8:16am On Mar 05, 2010
I think d issue here shld be Anenih not d action Gov. My contribution on d topic is dat until Anenih passes on Edo will kno no peace. What is d justification by d House of Reps in Abj askin d gov 2 reverse d impeachment, when they impeached their speaker did d president intervene.
All those tellin us Oshiomole is no saint shld pls tel us if they are saints and do we hav to wait for saints to be in power b4 we phase out godfatherism and I still insist dat Oshiomole is a wise general who knows dat u don't have to kill all ur enemies to be victorious there are some u kip alive and employ to do ur biddin so d Gov is on d right path cos democracy is not only abt wat or who is right but abt who has d majority and who controls d num and right now Oshiomole controls d number in d state house and this has sounded d death knell on d power of Anenih.
PoliticsRe: How Anenih Doctors Edo State Budget by marvix(m): 8:55pm On Mar 04, 2010
@lannre, I thot d forum was 4 educated and enlightened people with a good level of reasonin and d ability to understand figures of speech. Hope I havnt confused u even more
PoliticsRe: How Anenih Doctors Edo State Budget by marvix(m): 8:47pm On Mar 04, 2010
Snowdrops a tactical General does not atack on all sides at d same time sometimes he allies with an enemy to overcome another so Oshiomole is also wise.
I'm sure u read dat Oshiomole was d Gov dat advised Jonathan not to be on d wrong side of history by seating in council to unseat his principal, these are very critical times in our development as a nation and we can't afford to fail

Quote from skyblue
If you really feel this way then you should genuinely have no problems whatsoever with Yar Adua being a major candidate for 2011, even if he is in a coma, since he feels he can get better from this long term soar throat he just contracted after his swearing in.

I wld giv my suport to Yaradua to complete d northern term and believe me its beta cos Jonathan can hav a 2nd term as Ag President b4 he starts to campaign 4 his full presidency and work seriously on d 7point agenda

Most of the posts here are insensitive and in very very bad taste. Will you people allow Yar'Adua  to fall ill and get well peacefully.

You are beginning to sound like insensitive and obsessed ethnic bigots. I bet none of you will claim to be a Northerner. Yar'Adua is a good man, let him be.

True talk my brother, if they were civil servants and fell seriously ill would they be happy if their bosses recomended dismisal wen they feel that they can get beta.
Let Yaradua be the problems in dis country stil needs to be solved and we can do it wit Yaradua bein sick nd Jonathan actin

Let's be honest if Yaradua was finished his people would have given up by now !!

It is actually posible it is 4 me to start my prayas afresh dat he shld be strong enuf 2 come nd pic d presidential ticket again 4 a 2nd term so dat Jonathan can assume Ag once d strain of d ofc gets to him again

Cast your vote and guard it to make sure that your vote goes to the right person u vote 4. As far as I am concern PDP has fail us so is high time we change to another party with the right person for the job.

How do we know d right candidate and do u think pdp can't give us a right candidate. Don't 4get dat Donald Duke is a product of d PDP, Babaginda Aliyu is also another product, Godswil Akpabio, and some performin govs are pdp govs, so wen elections come we shld be more interested in d candidates nd leave d parties out of it.
PoliticsRe: Like Yar Adua Like Jonathan by marvix(m): 11:49pm On Mar 03, 2010
@Crownvilla I'm very positive Jonathan wil xceed 6000MW by dec nd posibly make 10000MW but dat shld not necesarily be credited to him d truth be told Yaradua laid d foundations nd most of these things are already on semi auto pilot d statement evryone is makin 2day abt nidin strong institutions as against strong individuals can be credited to him he has always believed so much in dat, dat was y d FEC was able to go on witout his presence and dats y Jonathan sims 2 be in d swing as soon as he took ova fully.
Let's kip our fingers crossed and stand up to commend Jonathan 4 any achievement made and pls let's always take note dat Yaradua has contributed to most of d suceses of dis administration and it wld stil be counted as his

Timehin ders nothin wrong if som pple nid 2 negotiate to protect their interests its one of d aspects of democracy or y wld they be negotiating, afta grantin Jonathan substantive president and C-in-C then d ball is in his court if he wishes to relinquish d power to d north or retain it and by dat time there would be nid for futher negotiation and horse trading and who says Jonathan can't be our Mandela who wld rule one term 2011-2015 and conduct free fair and credible elections which d oposition @ dat time mayb able to win. It could all be in my dreams but I gues I hav my rites to my dreams

Monkeyleg d only way pdp can be checked or placed in check is when d opposition gets it acts together, if all d major oposition parties could colapse their interest and ambitions PDP wil be checked. The truth be said pdp is a conglomerate of a lot of characters and dis shld b d halmark of a political party

We can move 4ward witout a war and pls let's discontinue the use of threat of war, also votin anoda party doesn't mean u won't stil b givin it to d cabal because dis cabal arenot just in 1 political party let's direct our energies to supportin dis govt for me it is either Jonathan 4 president or Yaradua 4 president if d north must complete their 8yr tenure.
PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by marvix(m): 7:50pm On Mar 03, 2010
There is no cause 4 alarm, Ogbulafor has just shown dat he is another fool who will be consumed by d movin train of a man blessed wit Goodluck and Wisdom but answers d name Jonathan.
Can ogbulafor tell us 4 real who d nxt pdp presidential candidate will be and will that candidate throw away his 2nd term because Yaradua had used one this simple reason xposes d stupidity of his statement.
The pdp of today is no longer d pdp of 2007 who was Ogbulafor b4 he bcam chairman of d pdp even he didn't xpect to get d seat but 4 d diplomatic character of Mr President who refused to align himself with d camps dat existed @ dat time, if d same pdp afta all that andy uba had done were bold enuf to hav denied him d Anambra governorship ticket anything can still hapen, let's also not 4get dat wen Yaraduas ilnes started Ogbulafor was quick in his characteristic stupidity declared dat there was no vacum until Jonathan brot dem all to their knes nd they started talkin of doctrine of nonsense.
Let us all watch out the wise man who moves slowly but surely has taken note and he definitely has a plan cos as things ar goin he stil has d best shot @ d presidency because he is actually d leader of d pdp in d absence of Yaradua.
What we as individuals have to do is to start joinin d party nd start clamorin 4 Jonathan, support his moves no matter how quietly he makes them anoda thin is to giv him a conducive atmosphere to perform dat is d militants of d ND calm down nd encourage development in d ND labor unions coperate cos dis might be a subtle and d easiest way to foist a peoples choice ova d cabal.
The drama is just abt to start,
PoliticsRe: NNPC Reform Irreversible, Says Jonathan by marvix(m): 5:36pm On Mar 03, 2010
Beaf wat Akanbi has bin tryin to tel u all along is dat Yaradua started d deregulation of the NNPC tryin to carry evryone along as against Objs by force method and that is y d credit should first be given to Yaradua nd den Jonathan 4 kipin up wit it and those askin 4 quick implementation shld undastand dat all stakeholders or majority should agree and this involves d labor unions and marketers and even ASUU and so on so progress is stil bein made.
These are things dat I hav seen in dis administration dat has always made it seem as though I'm an apologist 4 d govt, and my support 4 2011 is dat Jonathan should either contest as president or he goes as vice to Yaradua who can remain as sick president 4 his 2nd term nd Jonathan remains Ag President gettin things done while d north can therefore claim their 8yr tenure.
We shld not be deceived any northerner who comes 4 a 1st term in 2011 will want to hold on till 2019 so in d overall interest I pitch my tent wit Yaradua/Goodluck Presidency 4 2011 to continue all their reforms.

I cannot help but lof Jonathan. This indeed what NNPC ad Nigeria needs. Over the years NNPC has been a wide open conduit for the brazen theft of our money - straight out of the oil wells into foreign accounts.
This is wat Yaradua dat u detest so much has been tryin to say while seekin support frm everyone involved including the labor unions. I pray d deregulation policy can be implemented in d proper way as envisaged
PoliticsRe: Nuhu Ribadu 2011- Lets Start Hammering It Now! by marvix(m): 10:14am On Mar 03, 2010
Goodluck Jonathan should be allowed to complete this tenure and run 4d presidency so as to continue wit a purposeful implementation of d 7point agenda, also if a northerner comes to run will he be servin 4 4yrs only, 4get this rotational presidency it was meant to fail along d line and this is where it fails, so I say Goodluck Ebele Jonathan 4 President Federal Republic of Nigeria. Guess I should start his fan page on facebook, twitter, and other social networking sites, the first endorsement I would like to get is d Northern Youths Forum and the Arewa Consultative Forum

What biz is it of America abt our presidents health can Nigeria demand d health report of a sittin US president or even dat of d Republic of Niger.
Nigeria is a sovereign state and we don't need any superpower to dictate to us simple.

Quote from rohadis:
Apparently, this writer has no ideas of his or her own. The whole article is based on paraphrasing other western writers and thinkers and framing judgements based on the applied implications of the borrowed phrases. Take away the quoted phrases and there is little left. Again the density of the references to other authors, apart from diminishing his or her own place as a thinker exhibit the authors narcissism. The article is about the author, to attract attention, to sound so shocking to be noticed, to play with words and throw out names in order to be seen as 'well read.' Such literary self-service can't be taken seriously. It will be more time well spent if author spent more text, fleshing out argument to compel readers. But, that is far from his or her intentions. I doubt if Idontcare paid for such empty promotion.

In my opinion d writer tried it was a wholistic piece but usin Dora as a villian is wrong nd mayb he could hav used d likes of Falana and Pastor Bakare, where Falana believes dat he is d only one capable of givin our constitution he didn't write a meanin and Pastor Bakare who believes dat God does not have solutions to Nigeria's problems but requires him givin ultumatum to a govt he didn't elect. Like I hav said Aondoaka only tried dischargin his duties to the best of his abilities and mayb somtimes overreached himself but true to d article he showed himself to be a loyal dog of a master who will stand by d masters side in good and bad times and he took defeat gallantly and I didn't hear any gloating or continous defence of his position but instead he has taken it in his strides in his words "I am the Minister Of Special Duties"
