PuZZyNegro: My only advice to you is in regards to meeting your uncle for financial advice.
Know that in this world, people don't want you to be bigger than them. They need you to remain poor so you will continue to respect and worship them.
Money is power and people know this thus the reason they will frustrate every effort you make to come out of needs.
Please, this is not exclusive to uncles so you know. Biological brothers can be worse. I have my own personal experience with mainly biological brothers that I only tell them what I have done and not what I intend to do.
For instance: bro, here's a car I just got. Bro, I am running my masters degree, bro, I have done this or done that. And not, I want to do this, what do you think? Their advice most times comes from a selfish angle and tilts towards ensuring you remain limited.
I will cite only one example. When I got my car, my brother who's the richest in the family advised me to get married that it's the next thing for me.
I looked him in the face and told him that I want to build a house before getting married.
It's not that he doesn't know that's the next thing I should do considering the fact that I am still very young and the last born of the family with three other brothers so there's no rush of only son or first son.
He himself bought his car, finished his house before getting married and he never married at the age that I am.
So, basically he felt I was moving too fast in achievements and wants something to slow me down. You don't need to be told what comes with marriage in terms of responsibility.
This is just one out of many of such encounters even from my brother in law (my sister's husband). Their advice always tend to keep you where you are so you will continue to depend on them and of course remain loyal to them.
To pull through quickly in life, learn to seek for advice from people that do not know you and people that have no vested interest in whatever decision that you take, else, you may be on a long thing. Sometimes, parents are not excluded.
You're just 19, I pray you make independent decisions that will see you at the top later in your life. A very revealing post. Thanks man! |

ahnie: PLEASE IGNORE MY ENGLISH! We all know how hard the country is @the moment,as we're all feeling the heat.
I have basically ran out of some major foodstuffs like yam, bag of potatoes, paints of rice and garri.for some couple of days now I have been racking my brain on how to purchase those items without disturbing my husband because recently he has bn complaining of low patronage.even my soaps and body scrub don finish for days now.
Me,I am somehow broke and sales lately hasn't bn interesting.i run a street roadside hustle and I don't go to hustle on Sundays which is my rest days.
But as level come be nau...kids must chow anyhow e be.so I decided since last night to come to hustle today being Sunday, since I have what to sale so I could see money to purchase those items I mentioned earlier on.
The raw truth I don't know how to borrow money from somebody, infact no one would even agree to lend money to you.so I decided to use what I have to get what I need.
Immediately I appeared in my hustleville arena this morning, one righteous woman like that dressed in a very lovely gown and peacock hat was to the first to hunt me down.
Mind you this woman has been hunting me for months, she was the reason why I stopped selling on Sundays because her preaching wahala was too much.
Mummy zee why nau?why nau?I thought you ve stopped?,why did you come out today. Whilst she was busy asking me these questions,I bent down to lit my firewoods money must be made jare.
When she finished rapping, she looked at me,I looked at her,I carried my pan and placed it on the fire.in my mind I was like...hanty pls board your Keke and go,but for where.
I walked up to her and said.....pls ma'am cud you please lend me 30k?I need it to sort some things at home.madam said she doesn't have.
I left her there, went back to stir my beans paste in my mortal, madam borrowed herself sense then entered Keke and moooovv.
I settled down and sold maaad market,my money to buy those foodstuffs I mentioned is complete.i even bought succulent ripe plantains join to prepare correct plaintain and egg sauce for my family! Bag of potatoes is sure, paints of rice is sure, tubers of yam toh sure, paints of garri nko,it's the Lord's doing.
I can confidently get my soaps and body scrub now.
Now my question is.....just because today that I didn't go to church would God be so angry to throw me into hell fire knowing fully well that my family needs these basic items?
Why do some too churchy righteous Christians likes hunting people that doesn't go to church and if you meet them to help you with money instead they will quote excerpts from the Bible to you.
Na market I sell....no be thief I thief!
Food is ready. Indomie 3 eggs Carrots Green peas Plantain. Yum yum When you stand before JESUS CHRIST after your showtime on earth is over, I hope you will have the guts to brag to Him like this. we have already start making plan on getting married, before now have been having trust issues with her, when ever her phone is close to me or it rings she is not comfortable, anytime i ask questions she knock it off,she will say they are just friends, at a point i was monitoring her, she knew, friends will call me they saw my girl with some one guy ,that same guy usually do call, have ask her who is the guy, she said they just friends , it was clear she was cheating her attitude towards me change, yet i kept cool for peace to reign and for what i feel for her.
To cut the story short, spoke to her family about it and her brother abroad, now she is angry and she does not want the relationship anymore, have beg her have also send people to beg her, she said never that she has move on, am confuse i really do love her, the worst part she block me on watsup and messager and she is not picking my calls, i feel she dislike me now.
when even i rmember my labour in this i feel so bad with my self, i really don't know how to move on. Why do good people (male and female) usually end up with devils? You are a nice guy. Please forget about all your investments in her. Count them as losses and move ahead. She would do worse if you married her, believe me. koyyes: Cholerics and melancholics could work if BOTH of them have secondary temperaments as well.
I will never recommend a phlegmatic female to a choleric male because we both know who will be opressed in that situationship.
Its a good thing you know all temperaments have their weaknesses so you should know melancholics can be moody. Now imagine a choleric throwing tantrums at a moody person. Melancholics also follow well defined and guided rules/principles. A choleric who just loves to dominate or give orders outside the norm just for the fun of it will have a hard time with melancholics because they question things alot. They will never bend.
I cancelled out that trait you pointed out because you understood it with a different context order than what it really is. A melancholic isn't quarrelsome because they prefer to work on solutions and not argue...it's physically exhausting. They would rather not want to share the same space with any one that makes them talk or argue too much. They pay attention to details and this is one of the reasons why they can be emotional and sensitive....something that cholerics lack which is why they can never be a good match except the choleric partner has another significant temperament trait. The part you struck is the most dominant aspect of a melancholic. Melancholics are only sometimes confrontational if they are secondarily choleric. And especially when this secondary part has matured. |
Romance › Re: Help I'm About To Marry A Choleric Woman by mastermaestro(m): 10:54am On Sep 28, 2021 |
koyyes: A melancholic is a wrong choice for him because they are highly sensitive and suck in anger till they unleash it on whoever will be unfortunate to receive it. It will only work if he isn't 100% choleric. Take this from someone who 100% melancholic. That's not correct. Maybe you are secondarily choleric. Maybe I should have added that he should go for a melancholic whose secondary temperament is sanguine. Melancholics are the best for cholerics. Why? Properly developed melancholics are very organized, intelligent and very diligent. They give their best. And they avoid confrontations. These few traits are what cholerics crave for. You may want to suggest phlegmatic. Phlegmatics are best managed by sanguine. I would have to write an epistle for you to understand me perfectly. All temperaments have their weaknesses. However these weaknesses can be managed by a correct coming together. Maybe I will outline their strengths and weaknesses, but not now. And please don't mix up the meaning of the concept of melancholic as a temperament and as a mere English word. They totally mean different things. Please keep the discussion refined. |

Modernizer: I won't bore you all with a long write up.
I'm ready to settle down, actually I needed to settle down like yesterday. Problem is, I don't make friends easily and hooking up is even tougher. I don't trust easily.
So I'm talking with this girl that checks all my boxes ( quite a rare feat for my high expectations), but for one thing...she is evidently a choleric. I know because I'm one myself.
The hot temper, impetuousness, some bossy-ness, independent mindedness, low empathy, high ambition...all those tell tale choleric features give it away.
Now I know cholerics are advised to get their opposites say phlegmatic for relationship purposes, but I want to ask the house: can I a hot tempered man cope with a hot tempered woman? Any people with experience on this here? Can both of us with low empathy really be compatible?
The adverse statistics coming out of marriage these days scares the sh..t out of me. I don't want any of it.
Should I drop this girl? Or can it work?
Sorry oo...it may sound small but that's my own challenge.
Cc newbornmacho, Ahnie, kestolove As a choleric myself, it is the worst decision you would ever make if you as a choleric marry a fellow choleric. I am glad you know so much about temperament. This is my wish for youths of this age. Knowing your temperament is like knowing your genotype. When you marry her, what follows? 1. You will either bend or break. 2. It will be a ship with two captains. Cholerics are leaders by nature. No choleric is ever happy as a subordinate. Unless it is for a short period. 3. You may have to become the mouse, while she reigns as the cat. 4. You will never be a happy person. You will feel caged unable to express your real self. 5. Your home will likely become a warzone. 6. You will never agree on most things. 7. The marriage will fail eventually. I won't hide this from you. 8. Worst still one of you will end up dead by the hands of the other. I am saying this as choleric myself. My brother, please end the relationship. Look for a melancholic or a phlegmatic. But as a choleric, a melancholic is your best bet. Decide now! |
