People of the lord praaaaaise the lord. Around 3 years ago I was not a regular tither, in fact I stopped tithing, it was not funny at all. Financial scarcity dealt with me. Menh that period was very horrible for me. After a personal encounter with God's word, I understood the immense blessing that comes with tithing. I discovered that tithing does not only save me from financial devourers but ensures that the windows of heaven is always kept open for me, for the blessings therein, to fall with out ceasing . After this revelation I became a dedicated tither. Since then the last thing I worry about is lack of money or financial scarcity. If worse come to worse I halla baba God. I tell him.. "Sir I don do my part, oya do your own!, I know you as God wey no fit fall my hand"....my tithe gives me boldness in front of him when I go asking for his favour. He knows I will not think twice when it comes to investing in his Kingdom with whatever he blesses me with. Tithing has transformed my life. God now knows he has a stake in my success, he therefore moves mountains to ensure I never lack. #Matthew Briggs. |

I am light years away from been smart, judging from my personal standards. Einstein, Jobs, Obama are people I term as smart. But one thing I am sure of, is the presence of this deep hunger for knowledge. I believe knowledge are like fruits hanging in the most unlikely places waiting to be plucked. It's only hungry men that can smell and find it. The desire to know, to create, to do the impossible is like a raging inferno that burns my bones. “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” is truly a powerful mantra to live on. #Matthew Briggs. |
Strong beginning, weak middle and ending. Score 53% I.e Not so great. It lacks follow through. |

In as much as I am not in support of the concept of "been choosy", I also believe one should never settle for less. Moreover the premise of the op's statement is flawed. Let me re-engineer her statement to prove my point. mtcheew >> okay yesterday, i was following this thread on nl about what ladies expect from their dream man, for the first time and i noticed that most pple seemed to want their man to be Rich (at least have a ride) handsome and tall. so this morning i sat in d lecture hall(i was a lil early)and watched people walk in. i decided to rate people by their wealth(those with car keys), looks and height. what i observed got me wondering if ladies have d "right" to assess guys based on their wealth, looks & height cos virtually all d ladies that came only verrrry few had a ride and even the one's that had a rides had it bought by their Bf of sugar daddies, also as per height out of every 6 ladies, there were 4 short ones, the remaining 2 were 'just there or tall'. Guys on the other hand are the exact opposite. Most of them had rides bought by their hard earned money. also out of every 6 guys, 4 were Average height, one is Tall and only one is short. am a sucker for good looks by d way, i'll choose a good looking lady [s]over a short and ugly lady any time. anyway[/s] just my two cents << The fact is the way the society is structured, men and women are assessed by different standards. It's either one is up to the standard and in turn enjoy the benefits, or falls below it and suffers the consequences. Either way no matter the category you falls into. Live your life, enjoy it to fullest and maybe one day you'll get to find and live happily ever after with your one and only. #Matthew Briggs. |
Caracta: Maybe. I was expecting you to be very thin too. Not slim...THIN. Light-skinned, curly hair, high cheek bones, thick eyebrows and short.Lololol. Simon the Troll I hail you. |
Caracta:Lol why you dey frown . I was just giving this kind gentle man a heads up. His heart is too fragile to join the long list of guys e-crushing on you... I might be wrong tho... daz all. . |
uj_sizzle: OP have you met HumbledbYGrace and Caracta?Ujsizzle did you just mention C-A-R-A-C-T-A . @ op There are roughly over 400,000 fishes in the ocean here on nairaland. Don’t worry several of them will send you pm soon. But be weary Ms Sunshine is off limits. ![]() |
Lol . Kai women don do this guy sheyge. Take heart bro. The sad things is that majority of our ladies are confused they don't really know what they want. Only very few actually do. This I have come to realizes quite early. Like you already know, the mind of the female specie is not ruled by logic or common sense but by feelings and emotions, by words and subtle actions. This means all those your qualities you listed is not a guarantee that they will like you or choose to stick with you, I know this is a hard truth to swallow. On a side note, I think you might have to tone down on the "I am principled part" and add "Chief Romance Officer" to your growing list of qualifications. Moreover, lets look at the cup half full. This experience is happening to you for a reason. So that when you meet Ms Right you will treasure her with all your heart. Knowing what you went through to find her. As per finding her, I assure you, you will. Just keep been YOU, the right woman is on the way. #Matthew Briggs |
Lol @no 10- I fight a lot in my dreams. Every time I do, I win. My fights are always epic, kind of like the final battle btw Super man and Zod in "The Man of steel", I make use all kinds of super powers in fighting my challengers. My best super powers are telekinesis, flight, immense strength and speed. I kind of look forward to this battles every night not just because I always win but cos of the feeling of power and control I get. It's like I am a god in my universe and I control the elements. This dreams have greatly influenced me in real life. I always have this feeling that I am born to win no matter what. I see Challenges and battles as one of the spices of life. Repping 51 all the way. #Matthew Briggs |
yosmen: got 52,are we that scarce.....Was about asking same. ![]() |
Blind date got my pin of my cousin. We chatted a lot, unlike me that seldomly chat. I guess she warmed her way in my heart and asked me out as her date on vals day, was too busy on a project to obliged. We later reschedule to me at an event. Which we did. She was so gorgeous, perfectly shaped in the right proportion and way better than her profile picture. But on closer reassessment I felt no connection, she was just like one those models I get to work with periodically on projects. I played it cool, after several chats she looked forward to us meeting again this time on a proper date but I let her know kindly we have no future together, it was painful for me, Because I understand how painful unrequited love is. But it was for the best because I was 70% sure I will break her heart. We are friends and once in a while she drops by to say hi. Blind dates are not that scary for me because I like the element of surprise either good or bad. Moreover I value people not by how they look but who they really are. Most importantly I am weary of the foot prints I leave. #Matthew Briggs. |
51. The result quite rhymes with who I am as a person |
We've 3 types of Nigerians. Those who; 1.Create the problem. 2. Cry about the problem 3.Try to solve the problem. Which category (s) do you fall into? Happy independence celebration. #Matthew Briggs. |
Gudintent: By just reading the title, I won't bother responding, it says a lot about the Op.Very true. Good thing ave learnt my lessons |
maryhaam: I don't want a nerd....................just want a guy with a normal IQ perhaps help with junior and princess assignment ..........You haven't come across my type of nerd. That's why. But sha the ish is that a nerd wouldn't want to settle for just junior and princess assignment because he expects you to be smart enough to chair that dept, he expects to only chip in not out of necessity but out of the desire to bond with his kids. So ride on with your desire for a normal IQ guy nothing do you. |
The op no wanna die. I can see him trying to pull up his parachute before had. Thank God the instructors where on standby to ensure he didn't follow through. If not the consequences would've been fatal. I respect your courage op. This sky diving experience is definitely worth having. |
I made a big mistake. Spending my precious time posting on this thread. I wish I did a through background check on the Op before posting. *Covers head in shame* |
Caracta: Hahaha. So you think i'm a geek? Pls don't add to my listLol. No I don't think you are a geek you are way better than that, you're a half blood prince, as smart as a geek and as classy as a lady. You’re the best of both worlds. You’re Ms Sunshine. |
Inbtw @ Caracta you strike me as a half blood prince. Half geeky and Half fun like the average lady. Your exploits on this thread attest to my assertion, https://www.nairaland.com/1412304/ask-tough-iq-questions-whoever/4#18329554. |
myOGAonTOP: Aye bro. forgive me. I just didI already did. ![]() |
Caracta: my nerdy side is one of my greatest asset I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am like a half blood prince. Half nerdy and half like the average Joe. I enjoy the best of both worlds. |
Caracta: Oh...i see. Someone just told me geeks wear over-sized shirts, no jeans, face downwards always, round-rimmed glasses, claustrophobic in nature, soliloquize frequently, stare at nothing, and sometimes, suicidal! Really? On reading this I couldn't help but literally Laugh Out Loud. Sha I do the bolded periodically when I am in my nerdy mode. |
myOGAonTOP: you got some VERY wrong. Because nerds have high IQs and SEEM obsessed with electronics doesnt make them deficient in social skills. INFACT i strongly believe nerds make good husbands and dad cos they always prefer staying in the house and LOVES kids. IF the right buttons are pressed, the nerd will ALWAYS wow anyone he converses with. You dont know anything bout nerds. And when it comes to the bedroom, dude i laugh at you cos we are the most creative. Our highly imaginative minds ensures to that. It aint rocket science broRead my post again this time in slow motion. Note where I used the phrase "A nerd in his raw form" and the sentence "*the above statement was me looking at the glass half empty*" |
... double post |
Javanian: An 'individual', i.e. a person who does not conform to society's beliefs that all people should follow trends and do what their peers do. Often highly intelligent but socially rejected because of their obesssion with a given subject, usually computers. Unfortunately, nerds seem to have problems breeding, to the detriment of mankind as a whole.Truth be told the only thing a nerd has going for him is his intelligence, if his handsome that's a plus. A nerd in his raw form is not a ladies delight, at least for most ladies I know. Their social ineptitude, poor emotional intelligence, and often times boring obsessions can be a night mare for the average lady. Very few ladies would want a guy who all he thinks about is star trek, the latest video game or how to code self aware robots. No lady wants a guy who can't function properly in a social setting, hold his own in a general conversation and most importantly can't make her feel loved in and out of the bedroom. *the above statement was me looking at the glass half empty* Moreover there is still hope for the average nerd you have what roughly 70% of the male specie don't have that is " high-end intelligence" and guess what most ladies find that sexy. All you just need is a little attitude adjustment which is very easy and you taking conscious steps to modify your behaviour. Imagine if you use your ability to obesses on video games, technology, and sci-films etc and focus that energy on understanding how the mind of a woman works, her sexual anatomy and ways to make her feel special. Damn the insights you will get will be more than what the average dude can get. Lets not forget the fact that you're extremely intelligent. As a nerd you come packaged with the ability to analyse things. But instead of solely focusing on tech and nerdy stuff. Trying channelling that gift to analyse issues and stuff that the average joe or lady cares about eg fashion, entertainment, movies politics etc, it might be boring exercise for you but Trust me you will rock any conversation because the insights you'll bring to any discussion will make other average guys in the group feel dumb. Groom your social skills and build your emotional intelligence. If you are handsome flaunt it dress appealing and tastefully. If nerds can collectively achieve the above, Trust me the above questions would change and ladies would be asking Nerds which kind of ladies would you like to date? #Matthew Briggs #TeamNotYourAverageNerd #TeamGeek. |
daryoor: Point of correction, Bill gates is richer than africas billionare combinedAn error on my part. You are quite correct in the billionaire part. I forgot that Bill's earning recently increased due to an increase in Microsoft's share price due to Paul Allen's resignation. Moreover we both know am referring to quality of content. |
3 things are certain 1. Op is probably a teenager. 2. His post reeks of uncanny generalisation at it's peak. 3. Ignorance of what the word greatness really mean Justin is a successful artists but him been greater in - Talent (Africa has so many artists with outstanding talent my) - Album sales (the no of copies of pirated Nigerian artists Cd's in alaba alone beats justins record) - Reach and appeal (Justin appeals to mostly teenagers like you) - Net worth ( the dude is just worth $130m) - Amount of impact left in society. (Has his song influence policies and challenge any govt) - Quality of music (Let's not go here) - No of fans ( The population of Africa alone against his fan base do the maths) Than all African artists combined is so baseless and unfounded. Comparing a teen idol to seasoned professionals who one on one can even surpass him if not in album sales/Net worth but in terms of Talent, Amount of impact left in the society and Quality of music reeks of ignorance in gargantuan proportion. #Matthew Briggs |
