Well fasting is doing what God's Son require of us which is not acceptable in the world.

Jesus came to prepare faithful people for what God arranged in the beginning which is a Paradise earth so if anyone is married to more than one wife he is not in tune with God's purpose in the beginning which is One Adam and One Eve! Matthew 19:4

That's why each person must ask himself:

"Am i living with Paradise in view?"

Because God promised that there won't be crying, pain, sorrow or hatred in Paradise {Revelations 21:3-4} which is impossible in the face of polygamy, there has never been any polygamous family in the Bible without all these bad things so to be 100% certain that one is prepared for Paradise each man must keep just one woman.

As for divorce the polygamist is not required to divorce his wives but he must stop having sex with anyone apart from his first wife after embracing Christianity the women are free to remarry as it was a mistake which is against God's will in the first place, they're not enemies since they all understood the reasons why they must live for the better and real life in Paradise:
One woman for One man!

Fasting has a meaning it's not just about food that's what God told Israelites when they're not ready to do the right thing because it will cost them instead they will go on hunger strike thinking they can fool God.
Fasting is avoiding what is bad and sticking to what is good even though it will come at an high cost! Isaiah 58:1-10

It's about sharing what a believer has with his fellow believers and always standing for justice not turning away from such then starving yourself and claiming it's for God.

If anyone wants to fast among all those claiming Muslims and Christians in the house of Senate and Reps they should all speak the truth at all times including what happened in the elections plainly.

Of course it will cost most of them their seats in government, that's what God call fasting not just starving yourself for no just course!

Now if you want to argue about the meaning of PAGAN you are free but the truth remains that paganism is lack of faith in God so pagans only follow permissiveness so that there won't be any restraint in whatever they choose to do.
Christians in Bible times do disfellowship anyone who is not living by the standard they all agreed upon which means there can't be more than one group as they won't allow for interfaith.
