Did Jesus lied when he said John the baptist was Elijah?

It's time you people know the difference between PREACHING and TEACHING.

Preaching is telling someone what God promised in the Bible word for word so you only show your audience where it's WRITTEN in God's word.

Teaching is adding meaning to what is written which the audience can't find in the scriptures word for word but to be explained so that the scriptures could make sense with it's fulfilment.

There is nowhere in the scriptures where the name of the one crying in the wilderness is called "John" rather what the scriptures say is that Elijah will come to prepare the way so only followers of Jesus ACCEPTED that as TEACHING from Christ Jesus while all other Jews called it "LIES"

So if i say "Jesus is Archangel Michael" it's the teaching of an organization that i agree with i won't impose it on anyone who never see me as a teacher of God's word just as Jesus' teachings only appeals to his disciples who accepted him as their TEACHER!

The construction won't support that. The WAS in that scripture shows existence of the son prior to the beginning. Obviously something more than spirit. And the grammatical setting shows that what God's nature is, the Son is.

"In the beginning" says God's word {John 1:1} that shows someone has a beginning definitely not the Almighty God!

Verse 6 below says Jesus being (not was) in the form of God. He existed as God before he submitted to take human form. being is present continuous tense

The later part said God has exalted him and given him a name that all things in heaven (that includes angels) and things on earth (that includes Jehovah witness members) and things under the earth (that includes demons or any other creatures) must bow to the name of the resurrected Jesus. Not only that All things (including Jehovah witness members) must confess that Jesus is their Lord to the glory of the father. Any body who fails to comply, to bow in worship of Christ dishonors the father and does not glorify the father (especially Jehovah witnesses members - they dishonor the father)

Philippians 2: 5-7 says
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Everything in the brain of a born again is about heavenly life where people don't acquire material possessions, married or have kids, all they keep thinking about is how to complete their earthly mission and join Christ in heaven.

That's why Jesus stopped everything he was doing before his baptism, before then he learned carpentry from his foster father Joseph and so he practiced carpentry as a profession before his baptism but from that moment he never returned again!

So most people don't know the meaning of that term "BORN AGAIN" whatever you've been doing before that day ends and you start a new life spending 80-90% of your time preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom.

The use of theos in John 1 for Jesus is not the same with that of Moses. The word God in John 1 is saying that the Word is of the same Divine nature as God with whom the Word was with.

He was a spirit being like God the same nature of angels.
